A metal powder and a binder (so-called waxes such as a fatty acid metal salt such as zinc stearate) are kneaded, formed into a predetermined shape, and sintered in a vacuum sintering furnace to produce a predetermined sintered metal member. In the sintering step, the binder volatilizes during the sintering, and the exhaust gas contains a large amount of waxes. These waxes flow into the vacuum pump through the exhaust gas passage of the vacuum sintering furnace, and contaminate the vacuum pump and reduce its capacity. A wax collecting device such as an electrocoagulation type wax filter, a wet type wax shutter, a dry type wax shutter, etc. is provided.

A wire mesh 2 is stretched horizontally in a vertical cylindrical body 1,
An inflow port 3 is opened in one side wall of the main body below, and an outflow port 5 is opened in a lid plate 4 placed above the main body 1. The lower part of the main body 1 is formed in a funnel shape so as to gradually become smaller in diameter, and the collection box 9 is detachably attached to the lower end by fastening the flanges 6 and 7 to each other with bolts and nuts 8. . In the collection box 9, a bottomed cylinder 11 formed of a gas-permeable porous plate is accommodated, and the bottomed cylinder 11 is supported so that a ventilation gap 12 is formed slightly apart from the inner wall surface of the collection box 9. The ventilation gap 12 is connected via a discharge valve 13 to an intake device (not shown).

Thus, a cylinder 14 is provided outside the side wall of the main body 1 on the wire mesh 2, and an operating shaft 15 of the cylinder 14 is protruded into the main body 1. Provide. As shown in FIG. 2, the nozzle 16 has a width substantially equal to the width of the wire mesh 2, and has a number of nozzle holes formed on the lower surface. The operating shaft 15 is formed in a hollow shape, and its rear end projects outside from the rear end of the cylinder 14. A flexible hose 18 connected to an air supply source (not shown) for supplying compressed air to the projecting portion 17 is provided. It is connected so that compressed air can be supplied to the nozzle 16 through the working shaft 15.

In the wax collecting apparatus configured as described above, exhaust gas containing a large amount of mist-like or powder-like waxes discharged from the vacuum sintering furnace flows into the main body 1 through the inlet 3 and passes through the wire mesh 2. This causes only the waxes to adhere to the wire netting 2 and the exhaust gas to flow out from the outlet 5.
Then, compressed air is periodically blown out from the nozzle 16 and air is blown from the secondary side to the wire netting 2 to remove the waxes attached to the wire netting 2 from the wire netting 2 by so-called backwashing, and the collection box 9
To be collected. By operating the cylinder 14 to move the nozzle 16 horizontally on the secondary side of the wire mesh 2,
Waxes adhering to the surface are evenly separated. At this time, the discharge valve 13 is opened to discharge the air blown into the main body 1 from the nozzle 16 to the outside.

FIG. 3 shows the wax collecting devices A and B configured as described above.
Are installed in parallel in the exhaust gas discharge path of the vacuum sintering furnace 19,
By operating the damper 20, one of the wax collecting devices A and B is always used for collecting the wax and the other is used for washing.
With this arrangement, it is possible to use the wax collection without stopping. In the figure, reference numeral 21 denotes a vacuum pump.

It goes without saying that a gas other than compressed air may be blown out of the nozzle 16, but the temperature of the gas may be raised by a heater to melt the wax to facilitate the separation.

As described above, since the wax collecting device of the vacuum sintering furnace according to the present invention removes and removes waxes from the filter by backwashing the filter, it is possible to perform periodic cleaning very easily, and always look at the filter. It can be kept clean without clogging. For this reason, there is a beneficial effect that it is possible to prevent the waxes from flowing into the vacuum pump and prevent an obstacle due to a decrease in the capacity thereof.
