The electronic device is configured with the CPU 1 as a core and is connected inline to a plurality of other electronic devices (not shown) having similar configurations, and the CPU 1 includes a power supply unit 2, a rectifying unit 3,
The other controlled unit 4 and the in-line interface 5 are connected, and the power supply unit 2 is connected to the switch 6 and the switching unit 7. The CPU 1 normally controls the configurations of the power source unit 2, other controlled units 4, and the inline interface 5 when power is supplied from the power source unit 2 to process data and exchange information with other electronic devices. And various calculations are performed, and when the power is not supplied from the power supply unit 2, it is determined that the power is supplied from the rectification unit 3 according to a microprogram stored in advance to start the power supply unit 2 in a predetermined manner. It is an operation. The power supply unit 2 is controlled to be turned on and off by the switch 6 or the CPU 1, and supplies the power supply to the CPU 1 and other components requiring the power supply. The other controlled unit 4 is, for example, an input unit, a display unit, and a printing unit, is supplied with power from the power supply unit 2, and is controlled by the CPU 1. The in-line interface 5 is supplied with power from the power supply unit 2, and under the control of the CPU 1, performs parallel-serial conversion, level conversion, etc. of a signal when transmitting / receiving information to / from another electronic device. The switch 6 is a switch for an operator to directly turn on / off the power supply unit 2 by, for example, manually. The switching unit 7 is composed of a relay circuit. When the power supply unit 2 is ON, power is supplied from the power supply unit to guide an in-line signal from another electronic device to the in-line interface 5 and turn it OFF. Since the power is not supplied at the time, the switching unit operates so as to lead to the rectification unit 3. The rectification unit 3 includes a rectification circuit 3-as shown in FIG.
1 and the voltage control circuit section 3-2,
The in-line signal sent from the switching unit 7 when turned off
When the rectifier circuit unit 3-1 has a predetermined signal content as shown in 4-1a of FIG. 4, the signal is rectified and the voltage control circuit 3
At -2, the voltage is set to a preset voltage as a temporary drive power source for CPU1 and is sent to CPU1.

For electronic equipment, manually operate switch 6 or CP
When the power supply unit 2 is turned off by the control of U1, the power supply unit 2
The function of each component receiving more power is stopped, and the switching unit 7 switches the destination of the in-line signal from another electronic device from the in-line interface 5 to the rectifying unit 3. When such an electronic device receives no power from the main power supply as an electronic device, and there is no backup up by the backup power supply except for the clock circuit, when an inline signal is sent from another electronic device connected inline, The signal is guided from the switching unit 7 to the rectification unit 3. Here, if a predetermined signal suitable for rectification as shown between 4-1a in FIG. 4 and preferable for generating a temporary drive power source, the rectification of the rectification unit 3 in FIG. It is rectified well in the circuit and the voltage is controlled in FIG. 3-2, and the CPU power is sent to CPU1 as shown by point C of 4-2 in the time chart of FIG. Here, 4-1 in FIG.
The predetermined signal related to a is distinguished from the normal signal because its baud rate is sent at a value different from that of the normal signal. For example, other active electronic devices or a main power-on book It does not cause a malfunction by being received by the interface of the electronic device. When the power is supplied from the rectifying unit 3, the CPU 1 executes the operation shown in the flow chart of FIG. 5 according to a preset microprogram. That is, first, in order to activate the power source unit 2, a PC command is sent to the power source unit 2 to activate the power source unit 2 as shown in 4-3 of the time chart of FIG. (Steps S 1 , S 2 ). Power supply unit 2
Then, when the CPU power is output as shown in 4-4 of the time chart of FIG. 4, the CPU power is switched to the power of the power supply 2 at the point C of FIG. Therefore, CPU1 is activated and boots up. (Step S 3). At this time, each component that operates by receiving power supply from the power supply unit 2 is also activated at the same time, and the switching unit 7 switches so as to guide the inline signal to the inline interface 5. Other electronic devices send predetermined signals that are set in advance in FIG.
After sending for at least a predetermined time until the CPU 1 corresponding to 4-1a of 1 outputs a PC command, a signal for designating an electronic device corresponding to 4-1b of FIG. 1 is output. The CPU 1 waits for this signal to be received from the interface 5 (step S 4 ), and when receiving this signal, determines whether the signal is a signal designating itself (step S 5 ). If signal result of this determination is to specify your continued as such in the next signal or operation performed従Tsuta operation (step S 6) ends. If the determination result is not a signal designating itself, CPU 1 issues an OFF command to power supply unit 2 (step S 7 ). In response to this command, the power supply unit 2 turns itself off, stops the supply of power to each component including the CPU 1, and as a result, the switching unit 7 switches to send to the rectification unit 3 when an inline signal is input. Return to the state.

In the present embodiment, the CPU is used as the starting means to operate the power supply unit, but the present invention is not limited to this, and for example, by providing a starting means for starting the power supply unit that consumes less power, etc. By suppressing the power of, even if many electronic devices are connected inline, it is possible to activate any electronic device by an inline signal. Further, although the rectifying circuit is mainly used as the starting means in the present embodiment, the rectifying circuit is not limited to this, and any means capable of obtaining a predetermined electrical or mechanical output from an in-line signal or the like (for example, a piezoelectric element or a solenoid is used) The power supply unit may be activated electrically or mechanically by them.

[Effect of the Invention] According to the present invention, even if the power is completely turned off, the electronic device whose power is to be activated is selected by remote control from another electronic device, and only the power of the selected electronic device is selected. It is possible to start up, to keep the power on and to stand by all the time, and to backup without using a backup power supply, and it is possible to greatly reduce power consumption.
