However, according to the conventional folding door device described above, the front-rear width of the holding member corresponds to substantially the width of one panel forming the folding door, and the storage section and the guide path are separated from each other. Since the continuous curved path is formed by a curve drawn with a radius larger than at least the lateral width of the panel, the holding member becomes large, and the folding roller moves in the large curved path and the folding door meanders. Since it will bend to the side, there was a defect such as impairing the smoothness of the opening and closing operation of the folding door.

When the folding door is not used, all the traveling mechanisms are gathered in the holding portion of the holding member, and
The guide member provided on the panel located at the end of the folding door in the developing direction is housed in the first housing portion, and all the guide members located on the valley folding side are housed in the second housing portion, respectively.
In this state, when the panel located at the free end of the folding door is pulled in the unfolding direction of the folding door to close the doorway of the warehouse, the first traveling mechanism from the free end side moves in the same direction along the traveling path. At the same time, the guide member provided on the second panel from the free end position comes into contact with the rear surface of the guide portion of the second storage part, whereby the first and second panels connected from the free end position in a mountain fold shape are connected. The pair of panels move along the upper rail body while opening in a V shape and increasing the opening angle, and the guide member provided on the second panel from the free end position is guided to the inlet / outlet end of the second storage portion. Then, when the guide member provided on the panel at the free end position approaches the second cutout portion, and then the opening angle of the pair of panels approaches 180 degrees, the guide member provided on the panel at the free end position moves to the second cutout portion. Is engaged in the guideway through the section, and Panel pair becomes straight. Then, a pulling force in the developing direction is applied to the third panel from the free end position which is connected to the second panel from the end position in a valley fold shape. The pair of panels are sequentially developed. Then, the last pair of panels starts moving, the pair of panels opens in a V-shape, the guide member provided on the panel at the terminal position in the developing direction is guided to the inlet / outlet end of the first storage portion, and its terminal position. When the guide member provided on the panel connected to the panel approaches the first notch, and when the opening angle of the last pair of panels approaches 180 degrees, the guide member of the panel provided at the end position serves as a guide path. While intervening in the narrow portion located in a straight line, the guide member provided in the second panel from the end position engages the guide path through the first cutout portion, and the last pair of panels becomes a straight line, In addition, the folding door moves in a state corresponding to the length of the narrow portion in the unfolded state to close the doorway of the warehouse or the like. Next, when the panel at the free end position is pressed in the folding direction of the folding door in order to open the doorway from the above-mentioned use state, the folding door moves in the same length direction of the narrow width portion of the first storage portion in the closed state. Then, the guide member provided on the second panel from the end position faces the first cutout portion. Next, the guide member provided on the panel at the end position abuts on the inclined surface of the guide portion of the first storage part, and this acts as a horizontal moving load of the folding door, and the panel at the end position and the end position connected to the panel. The second panel bends in a V shape at the hinge position, the guide member provided on the second panel from the end position escapes from the first cutout portion, and the traveling mechanism further folds the folding door in the traveling path. The moving angle of the pair of panels fastened in a mountain fold shape is reduced by moving to the second position, and the guide member provided on the third panel from the end position is guided from the guide path into the second storage portion. Since the guide member abuts on the inclined front surface of the guide portion of the second storage portion, the third panel and the fourth panel from the end position, which are connected in a mountain fold shape by the moving load due to the abutment, are hinged. At the position of V And the guide member provided on the fourth panel escapes from the guide path through the second notch, and the same operation as described above is performed between the pair of panels connected in a mountain fold shape. This is sequentially repeated, and as a result, the folding door is folded into a folding screen at the position of the holding member.
