Abstract

To provide leggings that are warm and comfortable to wear, using a multi-layered knit fabric.
[Solution] The knitted fabric 100 constituting the leggings is a multi-layered knitted fabric. The multi-layered knitted fabric 100 includes a surface layer made of cotton-polyester blended yarn, a skin-facing layer made of woolly polyester yarn and acrylic/rayon yarn, and an intermediate layer between the surface layer and the skin-facing layer, the intermediate layer including acrylic rayon blended yarn. In the surface layer, the cotton-polyester blended yarn floats above the base knitted with yarns other than the cotton-polyester blended yarn to form a space for storing air, providing excellent heat retention, and the flat fabric surface makes contact with the skin, providing a pleasant feel.

Description

The present invention relates primarily to lower body clothing for women (but is not limited to women), and in particular to lower body clothing typified by pants that are worn as outerwear (not as innerwear but as outerwear) from below the knee to the ankles, and that are warm and comfortable to wear, using a multi-layered knit fabric. The shape (e.g., length, hem width, thigh width) of the lower body clothing according to the present invention is not limited, and examples of the pants mentioned above include skinny-type outer pants that are long enough to reach the ankles and generally narrow, flare-type outer pants that are long enough to reach the ankles and generally wide, with a hem width wider than the knee, and wide-type outer pants that are long enough to reach the ankles and generally wide.

Tights are worn mainly in winter, with an emphasis on heat retention. Tights come in a variety of types: 100% acrylic bulky yarn, a mixed type of covering yarn and nylon filament processed yarn, or a so-called zokki type made of 100% covering yarn. They also come in pantyhose-type and leg-only shapes.

The covering yarns used in these tights are primarily SCY (single covered yarn), which is made by covering nylon filament textured yarn once with polyurethane elastic yarn as the core yarn, or DCY (double covered yarn), which is covered twice.

In this way, covering yarns in which the core yarn is polyurethane elastic yarn and the wrapping yarn is nylon filament processed yarn are widely used as knitting yarns for lower body clothing such as stockings and tights. Knitted tights using covering yarns that feel good against the skin when worn, developed and applied for by the applicant of the present application, are disclosed in JP 2013-185266 A (Patent Document 1). The tights disclosed in Patent Document 1 are tights using covering yarns in which wrapping yarns are wrapped around a core yarn of polyurethane elastic yarn, and are characterized in that the wrapping yarns are made of natural fibers (cotton yarns) and the knitted fabric on the skin-contacting side of the tights is processed to be fluffy.

The zokki tights disclosed in the above-mentioned Patent Document 1 have been well-received for their pleasant feel when worn, but because tights are innerwear, they must be worn outside while also wearing outerwear (skirts or pants as outerwear). This means that pants, for example, must be worn over the tights. Furthermore, when wearing these pants as (regular) jeans, which have no stretch, while knitted tights are highly elastic and stretchy, jeans do not have good stretchability, so wearing these combinations over one another results in poor stretchability and an uncomfortable fit.

The present invention was developed in consideration of the above-mentioned problems with the prior art, and its purpose is to provide a warm, comfortable lower body garment using a multi-layered knitted fabric that can be worn as outerwear.

To achieve the above objective, the lower body garment of the present invention incorporates the following technical measures:

That is, the lower body garment according to the present invention is a lower body garment using a multi-layered knitted fabric, and the multi-layered knitted fabric is characterized by including at least a surface layer formed (mainly) containing cotton and polyester, a skin-facing layer formed (mainly) containing polyester, acrylic, and rayon, and an intermediate layer formed between the surface layer and the skin-facing layer, the intermediate layer being formed (mainly) containing acrylic and rayon.

Preferably, the surface layer is knitted so that (mainly) cotton polyester blended yarn is exposed, the skin-facing layer is knitted so that (mainly) woolly polyester yarn and acrylic rayon blended yarn are exposed, and the intermediate layer is knitted so that (mainly) acrylic rayon blended yarn is present. In the surface layer, the cotton polyester blended yarn can be configured to float above a base knitted with yarns other than the cotton polyester blended yarn, forming a space for storing air.

More preferably, the surface layer is formed of cotton-polyester blended yarn, the skin-facing layer is formed of woolly polyester yarn and acrylic-rayon blended yarn, and the intermediate layer contains acrylic-rayon blended yarn, and the surface layer is configured such that the cotton-polyester blended yarn floats above a base knitted with yarns other than the cotton-polyester blended yarn to form a space for storing air.

The present invention provides a warm, comfortable lower body garment using a multi-layered knitted fabric that can be worn as outerwear.

Hereinafter, skinny-type outer pants 1 (sometimes referred to as leggings 1), which are an example of a lower-body garment according to an embodiment of the present invention, will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. These leggings 1 are described as an example of a lower-body garment that is warm and comfortable to wear, using a multi-layered knit fabric. The lower-body garment according to the present invention is not limited in shape (e.g., length, hem width, thigh width), and is not limited to either men's or women's clothing, but like these leggings 1, it is typically a lower-body garment with a length between below the knee and the ankle (these leggings 1 are ankle-length) that is worn as outerwear for women.

Referring to FIG. 1, leggings 1, which are an example of lower body clothing such as ankle-length pants (skinny-type outer pants that are narrow overall and reach the ankles) worn as outerwear in winter, use a multi-layered knit fabric 100, the schematic cross-sectional views of which are shown in (FIG. 2 and) FIG. 3. These leggings 1 are constructed by sewing multi-layered knit fabric 100 to form a torso 2 (one tubular part) and two leg parts 3 into which the legs are inserted, and a waistband is sandwiched and sewn to the upper end of the torso 3 as a waist part 4. It is also preferable to have an all-elastic (all-knit) specification without a waistband for the waist part 4 so that the waist is not tight. These leggings 1 also have a deep rise so that underwear is not visible even when squatting.

In addition, there are various structures of leggings described as an example of the lower body clothing according to the present invention, and even if the lower body clothing according to the present invention is leggings, it is not limited to a specific structure, and basically does not matter what kind of leggings structure, what kind of knitted fabric and what kind of knitting yarn are used for the leggings, as long as they have a warm, soft and comfortable fit using a multi-layered knitted fabric, which is a feature described later. Therefore, the structure of the leggings 1 described above is merely an example. Furthermore, even leggings that are not limited in this way are only one example of the lower body clothing according to the present invention, as described above. In particular, outer pants listed as the lower body clothing according to the present invention include, for example, skinny-type outer pants (the leggings described above) that are long to about the ankles and generally narrow, flare-type outer pants that are long to about the ankles and generally wide, and hem widths that are wider than the knees, wide-type outer pants that are long to about the ankles and generally wide, and include those that have a dummy pocket on the front side, a pocket on the back side, or a belt loop on the waist.

The knitted fabric 100 constituting the leggings 1 according to this embodiment will be described in detail below with reference to Figures 2 and 3 which are schematic cross-sectional views of the knitted fabric 100, and Figure 4 which shows a surface photograph.

As shown in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3, the knitted fabric 100 constituting the leggings 1 is a multi-layered knitted fabric. For easy understanding of the present invention, Fig. 3(B) shows a state in which Fig. 2(A), Fig. 2(B) and Fig. 2(C) are superimposed, and Fig. 3(A) is a simplified diagram of Fig. 3(B).

As shown in these Figures 2 to 4, the lower body garment according to the present invention (leggings 1 in this embodiment) uses a multi-layered (three-layered here) knitted fabric 100. The multi-layered knitted fabric 100 has the following features:
A surface layer (synonymous with the front side, the opposite side to the skin side, or the floating yarn side) formed mainly of cotton-polyester blended yarn (shown as T/C);
- A skin-facing layer (synonymous with skin side or ground side) made mainly of woolly polyester yarn and acrylic rayon blended yarn,
The present invention is characterized by including at least an intermediate layer between the surface layer and the skin-facing layer, the intermediate layer mainly containing acrylic rayon blended yarn.

Here, T/C is the abbreviation for Tetoron (R)/Cotton, where Tetoron (R) is polyester, and refers to a cotton-polyester blended yarn. T/C (polycotton) combines the best of polyester and cotton. For example, it combines the good qualities of polyester, such as durability, wrinkle resistance, and quick drying, with the good qualities of cotton, such as texture, breathability, and moisture absorption.

The method for manufacturing such a multi-layer (here, three-layer) knitted fabric is not particularly limited, and it can be knitted by an appropriate knitting method using an appropriate knitting machine.

Furthermore, the characteristics of this knitted fabric 100 will be explained in detail, including the types of knitting yarns used.

As shown in Figure 2 (B), in stitches plated with T/C and polyurethane, the polyurethane contracts and tightens the stitches, forming a floating thread for the loop that is two T/C stitches apart.

The woolly polyester shown in Figure 2 (A) is less stretchy than polyurethane, so loops form in the stitches.

The acrylic/rayon shown in Figure 2(C) also has poor elasticity, so loops form in the stitches.

As a result, in the surface layer, the T/C floats above the base knitted with yarns other than T/C, forming a space for storing air, as shown in Figure 3(B). On the other hand, in the skin-facing layer, loops of woolly polyester and acrylic/rayon are formed.

Such knitted fabric 100 can be said to form a reversible structure with a flat fabric surface (skin side) made of T/C (cotton polyester blended yarn), woolly polyester, and acrylic/rayon, and a surface (front side) with T/C (cotton polyester blended yarn) floating. As a result, the flat fabric surface is pleasant to the touch (comfortable to wear) as it comes into contact with the skin, and the floating surface of the T/C (cotton polyester blended yarn) is able to store air, resulting in high heat retention. As a result, it is possible to provide a warm, comfortable lower body garment using a multi-layered knitted fabric that can be worn as outerwear.

Leggings 1, an example of a lower body garment using such knitted fabric 100, have excellent moisture absorption and heat generation properties due to the acrylic rayon blended yarn, and have excellent heat retention due to the three-layer structure in which the T/C (cotton polyester blended yarn) floats and forms an air layer. In addition, the skin side has a warm, fluffy brushed feel due to the woolly polyester and acrylic/rayon loops, and the polyurethane yarn provides high stretchability in all directions (360 degrees).

Specific (knitted) yarns will be described below. Note that % is by weight.

As described above, the leggings according to this embodiment use a three-layer knitted fabric 100, which includes a surface layer made of cotton-polyester blended yarn, a skin-facing layer made of woolly polyester yarn and acrylic/rayon yarn, and an intermediate layer between the surface layer and the skin-facing layer in which the acrylic rayon blended yarn is present. In the surface layer, the cotton-polyester blended yarn floats above the base knitted with yarns other than the cotton-polyester blended yarn, forming a space that stores air, resulting in excellent heat retention, and the flat fabric surface comes into contact with the skin, making it pleasant to the touch.

It should be noted that the embodiments disclosed herein are illustrative in all respects and are not restrictive. The scope of the present invention is indicated by the claims rather than the above description, and is intended to include all modifications within the meaning and scope of the claims.

The present invention is suitable for lower body clothing, and is particularly suitable for lower body clothing that is warm and comfortable to wear, using a multi-layered knitted fabric.

A garment for the lower body using a multi-layered knitted fabric,
The multilayer knitted fabric comprises:
A surface layer formed containing cotton and polyester;
a skin-facing layer formed containing polyester, acrylic and rayon;
a middle layer formed between the surface layer and the skin-facing layer, the middle layer being formed from acrylic and rayon. The surface layer is made of cotton polyester blended yarn.
The skin-facing layer is made of woolly polyester yarn and acrylic rayon blended yarn.
The middle layer is knitted such that an acrylic rayon blended yarn is present;
2. The lower body garment according to claim 1, wherein in the surface layer, the cotton-polyester blended yarn floats above a base knitted with yarns other than the cotton-polyester blended yarn to form a space for storing air.
