Abstract

To provide a bathroom exhaust port that solves the problem that since hot water flowing into a drain trap is not tap water and a certain amount of hot water stays in the drain trap for a long time, the inside of the drain trap may become dirty with slime, the slime left causing adhesion of garbage such as hair to the slime or becoming a hotbed of mold, and therefore, it is necessary to clean the drain trap by physically scrubbing the inner peripheral surface thereof to remove the slime regularly; however, it is difficult to remove the slime from an area, including an inner surface of a drain cover (shielding member), covered by the drain cover, because the drain cover is fixed inside the drain trap in a conventional configuration.SOLUTION: The drain cover is provided so as to be freely slidable in a vertical direction, a grip part is formed on an upper part of the drain cover, and the drain cover can be removed from the drain trap by pinching the grip part to pull upwards from a state where the drain cover surrounds an opening of the drain pipe.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

Description

The present invention relates to a bathroom drain that is equipped with a bottomed drain trap that opens upward and is connected to an inlet pipe through which hot and cold water from the bathtub flows in, and is configured so that hot and cold water from the bathroom floor flows into this drain trap from above, and is further equipped with a drain pipe that drains the hot and cold water in the drain trap to the outside, and a drain cover that surrounds the opening of this drain pipe from above within the drain trap to prevent the backflow of pests and odors from the drain pipe.

A bathroom drain is known which is equipped with a bottomed drain trap that opens upwards and is connected to an inlet pipe through which hot and cold water from the bathtub flows in, and is configured so that hot and cold water from the bathroom floor flows into this drain trap from above, and is further connected to a drain pipe that drains the hot and cold water in the drain trap to the outside, and is equipped with a drain cover that surrounds the opening of this drain pipe from above within the drain trap to prevent pests and odors from flowing back from the drain pipe (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

The hot water that flows into the drain trap is not tap water, and because a certain amount of hot water remains in the drain trap for a long time, the inside of the drain trap is likely to become dirty with slime. If this slime is left unattended, hair and other debris will adhere to the slime, or it will become a breeding ground for mold, so it is necessary to periodically clean the drain trap by physically scrubbing the inner surface to remove the slime.

However, in conventional structures, the drain cover (shielding member) is fixed inside the drain trap, which creates the problem that it is difficult to remove slime from the areas covered by the drain cover, including the inner surface of the drain cover.

In view of the above problems, the present invention aims to provide a bathroom drain that can easily clean the slime in the area enclosed by the drain cover inside the drain trap.

In order to solve the above problems, the bathroom drain outlet of the present invention is equipped with a bottomed drain trap that opens upward and is connected to an inlet pipe through which hot and cold water from the bathtub flows in, and is configured so that hot and cold water from the bathroom floor flows into this drain trap from above, and a drain pipe that drains the hot and cold water in the drain trap to the outside is connected to the drain trap, and a drain cover that surrounds the opening of this drain pipe from above within the drain trap to prevent the backflow of pests and odors from the drain pipe is provided for the bathroom drain outlet, and is characterized in that the drain cover is provided so that it can slide freely in the vertical direction, and a handle is formed on the top of the drain cover, so that the drain cover can be removed outside the drain trap by pinching the handle and pulling it upward when the drain cover is surrounding the opening of the drain pipe.

Conventionally, drain covers were fixed inside the drain trap, but with the above configuration, the drain cover can be removed from the drain trap by pulling it upward, making it easier to clean the area enclosed by the drain cover, and the drain cover itself can also be thoroughly cleaned outside the drain trap.

As is clear from the above explanation, the present invention is configured so that the drain cover can be removed from the drain trap, making it easy to clean the area enclosed by the drain cover.

FIG. 1 shows a configuration of an embodiment of the present invention.

Referring to FIG. 1, 1 is a drain trap. This drain trap 1 has a bottom that opens upward. An inlet pipe 11, through which hot and cold water flows out of the bathtub from a drain outlet formed at the bottom of the bathtub (not shown), is connected to the drain trap 1, and any hot and cold water that flows beyond this inlet pipe 11 and into the drain trap 1 is led through a drain pipe 12 to a sewer pipe (not shown). In addition, hot and cold water that flows onto the floor surface FL the next day flows into the drain trap 1 from above, and flows into the sewer pipe through the drain pipe 12, just like the hot and cold water from the bathtub. A collection member for collecting hair debris is set in the step 13, not shown.

14 is the opening of the drain pipe 12 into the drain trap 1, and hot and cold water from the bottom of the drain trap 1 to the lower edge of this opening 14 will remain in the drain trap 1. If left as is, the opening 14 will open into the inside of the drain trap 1, allowing pests and odors that flow back up the drain pipe 12 to flow into the drain trap 1 and even into the bathroom.

Therefore, a drain cover 2 was provided to surround this opening 14. This drain cover 2 is attached by being inverted 180 degrees around the vertical axis from the state shown in the figure, so that the side portion 22 of the drain cover 2 engages with the engagement portion on the right side of the opening 14, and finally the upper portion 23 of the drain cover 2 engages with the engagement portion 16 at the top of the opening 14, and together with the side portion 24, the opening 14 is surrounded from the left and right and from above.

The bottom end of the drain cover 2 is submerged in the hot and cold water remaining in the drain trap 1, so pests and odors are blocked by the drain cover 2 and do not flow back into the drain trap 1.

When cleaning the inside of the drain trap 1, the drain cover 2 can be removed from inside the drain trap 1 by pinching the handle 21 formed on the top of the drain cover 2 and pulling it upward.

The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications may be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.

A bathroom drain outlet equipped with a bottomed drain trap that opens upwards and is connected to an inlet pipe through which hot and cold water from the bathtub flows in, and is configured so that hot and cold water from the bathroom floor flows into this drain trap from above, and a drain pipe that drains the hot and cold water in the drain trap to the outside is connected to the drain trap, and a drain cover that surrounds the opening of this drain pipe from above within the drain trap to prevent pests and odors from backflowing from the drain pipe, the above-mentioned drain cover is provided so that it can slide freely in the vertical direction, and a handle is formed on the top of the drain cover, so that the drain cover can be removed outside the drain trap by pinching the handle and pulling it upward when the drain cover is surrounding the opening of the drain pipe.
