Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aerosol foam hairdressing agent capable of enhancing a hairdressing force of strongly curling hair and a hairdressing force of raising hair.

SOLUTION: There is provided an aerosol foam hairdressing agent which comprises an aerosol container, a hairdressing agent composition and a propellant, wherein the aerosol container is filled with the hairdressing agent composition and the propellant, the hairdressing agent composition can be discharged from the inside of the aerosol container in a foam state, the hairdressing agent composition comprises carnauba wax (component A), paraffin wax (component B), a nonionic surfactant (component C) and water (component D), the content of the component A is 0.5 mass% or more and the content of the component B is 0.5 mass% or more in 100 mass% of the hairdressing agent composition, the total content of the component A and the component B is 6.5 mass% or more and 25.0 mass% or less, and the propellant contains liquefied gas.

Description

The present invention relates to an aerosol foam hair styling product in which a hair styling composition is filled in an aerosol container.

Hair styling products are known in a variety of forms, including liquid, gel, cream and solid.

Aerosol hair styling agents, in which a hair styling composition is filled in an aerosol container, are known as hair styling agents that are easy to apply to hair and to use. Aerosol hair styling agents come in various forms, such as an aerosol spray type that is sprayed from an aerosol container, and an aerosol foam type that is discharged in the form of foam from an aerosol container (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 to 4 below).

By the way, hair is sometimes permed using a special tool. Perming hair makes it possible to create a hairstyle that would be difficult to achieve without perming, and the hairstyle can be maintained for several weeks to several months. However, perming has the disadvantage that even if the permed hairstyle does not suit you or you do not like it, it is difficult to restore the hair to its pre-perm state. Another disadvantage of perming is that it can damage the hair and scalp.

For example, if it were possible to create a hairstyle that looked like it had been permed using a hair styling product, the above-mentioned drawbacks would be eliminated, and one would be able to enjoy the desired perm-like hairstyle only while the hair is being styled. However, there has been insufficient research into creating a perm-like hairstyle using a hair styling product. It has also not been fully elucidated what kind of hair styling properties a hair styling product has that would be suitable for creating a perm-like hairstyle.

After extensive research, the inventors discovered that by giving strong curls to hair and standing the hair up, it is possible to style the hair in a perm-like hairstyle.

The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a hair styling product that can enhance the styling power of strongly curling hair and lifting hair.

The present invention provides an aerosol foam hair styling agent comprising an aerosol container, a hair styling composition, and a propellant, the hair styling composition and the propellant being filled in the aerosol container, the hair styling composition being capable of being discharged in the form of a foam from the aerosol container, the hair styling composition comprising the following components (A), (B), (C), and (D), the content of the component (A) being 0.5% by mass or more, the content of the component (B) being 0.5% by mass or more, the total content of the component (A) and the component (B) being 6.5% by mass or more and 25.0% by mass or less, and the propellant comprising a liquefied gas.

Component (A): Carnauba wax Component (B): Paraffin wax Component (C): Nonionic surfactant Component (D): Water

In the aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention, it is preferable that the hair styling agent composition contains the following component (E).

Component (E): An oil that is liquid at 25°C and is selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbon oils and ester oils.

In the aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention, it is preferable that the component (C) contains the following component (C1).

Component (C1): Polyoxyethylene alkyl ether

In the aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention, it is preferable that the component (C) contains the following component (C2).

Component (C2): Polyoxyethylene glycerin fatty acid ester

In the aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention, it is preferable that the hair styling agent composition does not contain an oil agent that is solid at 25°C other than both of the component (A) and the component (B), or contains the oil agent at 1.0 mass% or less.

The aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention can enhance the styling power of strongly curling hair and lifting hair. Therefore, the aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention can be used to style hair in a perm-like hairstyle.

Fig. 1 shows photographs of a medium-length wig with a perm-like hairstyle, which was styled using the aerosol foam hair styling agent obtained in Example 1. Fig. 1(a) is a front photograph, and Fig. 1(b) is a side photograph. Fig. 2 shows an example of hair styling in which hair was partially styled using the aerosol foam hair styling agent obtained in Example 1. Fig. 2(a) is a front photograph, and Fig. 2(b) is a side photograph.

The present invention is described in detail below.

The aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention comprises an aerosol container, a hair styling agent composition, and a propellant. In the aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention, the hair styling agent composition and the propellant are filled in the aerosol container. The hair styling agent composition can be discharged in a foam form (foam form) from the aerosol container.

In the aerosol foam hair styling product of the present invention, the hair styling product composition contains carnauba wax, paraffin wax, a nonionic surfactant, and water.

In this specification, the above-mentioned "carnauba wax" may be referred to as "ingredient (A)."

In this specification, the above-mentioned "paraffin wax" may be referred to as "component (B)."

In this specification, the above "nonionic surfactant" may be referred to as "component (C)."

In this specification, the above "water" may be referred to as "component (D)."

Therefore, in the aerosol foam hair styling product of the present invention, the hair styling product composition contains component (A), component (B), component (C), and component (D).

In the aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention, the content of component (A) is 0.5% by mass or more, the content of component (B) is 0.5% by mass or more, and the total content of components (A) and (B) is 6.5% by mass or more and 25.0% by mass or less, based on 100% by mass of the hair styling agent composition.

In the aerosol foam hair styling product of the present invention, the propellant contains a liquefied gas.

The aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention has the above-mentioned configuration, and therefore can enhance the styling power of strongly curling hair and lifting hair.

Therefore, the aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention can be used to style hair in a perm-like hairstyle. However, hairstyles that can be styled using the aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention are not limited to perm-like hairstyles.

In the aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention, the hair styling composition contains components (A) and (B), so that the hair can be fixed in a state of being adhered to each other, and the hair styling power to curl the hair is exerted. In addition, in the aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention, a part of the components (A) and (B) contained in the hair styling agent composition precipitates on the hair, forming fine crystals. It is presumed that the fine crystals cause the hair to get caught on each other, and the hair styling power to stand up is exerted. In addition, in the aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention, when the hair styling agent composition is applied to the hair, the hair styling agent composition is easily spread to the roots of the hair due to the excellent applicability due to its foam (foam) form. For this reason, the hair styling agent composition can be applied uniformly and with a relatively thin application thickness to the entire hair, and the above-mentioned hair styling power to curl the hair is strongly exerted, making it possible to strongly curl the hair. Furthermore, the hair as a whole exhibits a strong hair styling power to stand up the hair, making it possible to form a three-dimensional hairstyle with a sense of volume. Therefore, the aerosol foam hair styling product of the present invention can be used to style hair in a perm-like hairstyle.

When styling hair using a conventional wax-like hair styling composition instead of an aerosol foam hair styling agent, it is difficult to apply the hair styling composition evenly to the entire hair, and therefore even if the wax-like hair styling composition contains components (A) and (B), it is not possible to style the hair in a perm-like hairstyle. Furthermore, when the hair styling composition is applied to hair in the form of an aerosol spray hair styling agent instead of an aerosol foam hair styling agent, it is difficult for the hair styling composition to reach the roots of the hair, and the time it takes for the hair styling composition to dry is extremely short, making it impossible to style the entire hair. Therefore, even if the hair styling composition is applied to hair in the form of an aerosol spray hair styling agent, it is not possible to style the hair in a perm-like hairstyle.

Therefore, the fact that the hair styling agent is an aerosol foam and that the hair styling agent composition contains component (A) and component (B) is a configuration of particular technical significance.

In the aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention, the hair styling agent composition may contain an oil that is liquid at 25°C and is selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbon oils and ester oils.

In this specification, the above-mentioned "oil agent that is liquid at 25°C and is selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbon oils and ester oils" may be referred to as "component (E)."

The aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention contains at least components (A), (B), (C) and (D) as the hair styling agent composition, and at least a liquefied gas as the propellant. The hair styling agent composition may contain other components in addition to components (A) to (D).

The above components, such as component (A), component (B), component (C), component (E) and other components, may each be used alone or in combination of two or more.

In this specification, the content of each component contained in the hair styling composition means the total content of all the components contained in the hair styling composition. For example, the content of component (C) means the total content of all the components (C) in the hair styling composition.

[Hair Styling Composition (Aerosol Foam Hair Styling Composition)]
(Component (A))
Component (A) is carnauba wax. By using component (A), it is presumed that fine crystals of component (A) are precipitated on the hair, which makes the hair more likely to catch on each other, and the hair-standing hair-styling power can be improved. Furthermore, it is presumed that the hair becomes stiffer by coating the hair, and the hair-styling power for curling the hair can also be improved. Only one type of component (A) may be used, or two or more types may be used in combination.

Component (A) is a compound with the INCI name (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients): Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax.

Commercially available products of component (A) include products under the trade name "TOWAX-1F8" (manufactured by Toa Kasei Co., Ltd.), "Carnauba Wax No. 1" (manufactured by Kato Yoko Co., Ltd.), and "Carnauba Wax Refined No. 1" (manufactured by Cerarica NODA Co., Ltd.).

From the viewpoint of enhancing the hair styling power to curl hair and the hair styling power to stand hair, particularly from the viewpoint of enhancing the hair styling power to stand hair, the content of component (A) is 0.5% by mass or more in 100% by mass of the above hair styling composition.

In 100% by mass of the hair styling composition, the content of component (A) is preferably 1.5% by mass or more, more preferably 2.5% by mass or more, even more preferably 5.0% by mass or more, particularly preferably 7.0% by mass or more, preferably 20.0% by mass or less, more preferably 15.0% by mass or less. When the content of component (A) is equal to or more than the lower limit, the hair styling power to stand up the hair can be further improved. When the content of component (A) is equal to or less than the upper limit, the formulation stability (emulsion stability) can be improved.

(Component (B))
Component (B) is paraffin wax. By using component (B), hair can be well fixed in a state of being adhered to each other by adhesion, and therefore, in particular, the hair curling ability can be improved. Furthermore, it is presumed that the coating of hair makes the hair hard, and therefore the hair standing ability can also be improved. Only one type of component (B) may be used, or two or more types may be used in combination.

The paraffin wax is solid at 25°C. The paraffin wax is specified in JIS K2235.

Commercially available paraffin wax products include "SP-0165", "PARAFFIN WAX-125", and "HNP-9" (all manufactured by Nippon Seiro Co., Ltd.).

From the viewpoint of enhancing the hair curling power and hair standing power, particularly from the viewpoint of enhancing the hair curling power, the content of component (B) is 0.5% by mass or more in 100% by mass of the hair styling composition.

In 100% by mass of the hair styling composition, the content of component (B) is preferably 1.0% by mass or more, more preferably 3.0% by mass or more, preferably 15.0% by mass or less, more preferably 12.0% by mass or less, and even more preferably 10.0% by mass or less. When the content of component (B) is equal to or greater than the lower limit, the hair styling power for curling hair can be further improved. When the content of component (B) is equal to or less than the upper limit, the formulation stability (emulsion stability) can be improved.

In the present invention, both component (A) and component (B) are coated on hair to exert the effect of stiffening the hair after coating. By imparting ease of hooking to hair with a certain degree of stiffness, excellent hair-styling power for standing the hair can be obtained, and furthermore, by imparting adhesiveness, excellent hair-styling power for curling the hair can be obtained. From the viewpoint of exerting the effect of the present invention by the effect of stiffening the hair after coating, the total content of component (A) and component (B) in 100% by mass of the hair styling composition is 6.5% by mass or more. In addition, from the viewpoint of enhancing formulation stability (emulsion stability), the total content of component (A) and component (B) in 100% by mass of the hair styling composition is 25.0% by mass or less.

In 100% by mass of the hair styling composition, the total content of component (A) and component (B) is preferably 8.0% by mass or more, more preferably 10.0% by mass or more, even more preferably 12.0% by mass or more, preferably 23.0% by mass or less, more preferably 22.5% by mass or less. When the total content is equal to or more than the lower limit and equal to or less than the upper limit, the effects of the present invention can be more effectively exhibited. When the total content is equal to or less than the upper limit, the emulsion stability can be further improved.

(Component (C))
Component (C) is a nonionic surfactant. By using component (C), emulsion stability can be improved and usability can be improved. Component (C) may be used alone or in combination of two or more.

Examples of component (C) include sorbitan fatty acid esters, glycerin fatty acid esters, and their alkylene oxide adducts, polyoxyalkylene alkyl ethers, polyoxyalkylene fatty acid esters, polyoxyalkylene alkylphenols, polyoxyethylene sorbitol fatty acid esters, polyoxyethylene alkylphenyl formaldehyde condensates, polyoxyethylene sterols and derivatives thereof, polyoxyethylene lanolin and derivatives thereof, polyoxyethylene beeswax derivatives, sugar esters, polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil, and polyoxyethylene castor oil.

Examples of the sorbitan fatty acid esters include sorbitan monooleate, sorbitan monostearate, sorbitan monoisostearate, sorbitan monopalmitate, sorbitan monolaurate, sorbitan trioleate, sorbitan tristearate, sorbitan sesquistearate, sorbitan sesquioleate, sorbitan sesquiisostearate, and sorbitan coconut oil fatty acid.

Examples of the alkylene oxide adducts of the above sorbitan fatty acid esters include polyoxyethylene sorbitan monolaurate, polyoxyethylene sorbitan monopalmitate, polyoxyethylene sorbitan monostearate, polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate, polyoxyethylene sorbitan monoisostearate, polyoxyethylene sorbitan monococonut oil fatty acid, polyoxyethylene sorbitan tristearate, and polyoxyethylene sorbitan trioleate.

The glycerin fatty acid ester may be a monoglycerin fatty acid ester or a polyglycerin fatty acid ester.

Examples of the monoglycerin fatty acid esters include glyceryl monocaprylate, glyceryl monocaprate, glyceryl monolaurate, glyceryl monomyristate, glyceryl monopalmitate, glyceryl monostearate, glyceryl monoisostearate, glyceryl monobehenate, glyceryl monooleate, glyceryl monoerucate, glyceryl sesquioleate, glyceryl distearate, glyceryl diisostearate, and glyceryl diarachate.

The above polyglycerol fatty acid esters include polyglycerol fatty acid esters with a degree of polymerization of 2 to 10, such as diglyceryl monocaprylate, decaglyceryl monocaprylate, hexaglyceryl monocaprate, tetraglyceryl monolaurate, hexaglyceryl monolaurate, decaglyceryl monolaurate, poly(4-10)glyceryl monolaurate, decaglyceryl monomyristate, decaglyceryl monostearate, decaglyceryl monoisostearate, poly(2-10)glyceryl monostearate, diglyceryl monooleate, hexaglyceryl monooleate, diglyceryl sesquioleate, poly(2-10)glyceryl diisostearate, poly(6-10)glyceryl distearate, diglyceryl triisostearate, and poly(10)glyceryl tristearate.

Examples of the alkylene oxide adducts of the above glycerin fatty acid esters (polyoxyalkylene glycerin fatty acid esters) include polyoxyethylene glyceryl monostearate, polyoxyethylene glyceryl monoisostearate, and polyoxyethylene glyceryl monooleate.

The above polyoxyalkylene alkyl ethers include polyoxyethylene lauryl ether, polyoxyethylene cetyl ether, polyoxyethylene stearyl ether, polyoxyethylene oleyl ether, polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene lauryl ether, polyoxypropylene cetyl ether, polyoxypropylene isocetyl ether, polyoxypropylene stearyl ether, and polyoxypropylene oleyl ether.

The above polyoxyalkylene fatty acid esters include polyethylene glycol fatty acid esters such as polyethylene glycol monooleate, polyethylene glycol monostearate, polyethylene glycol distearate, and polyethylene glycol monolaurate; and propylene glycol fatty acid esters such as propylene glycol monostearate, propylene glycol monolaurate, and propylene glycol monooleate.

From the viewpoint of further improving emulsion stability, it is preferable that component (C) contains a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether.

In this specification, the above "polyoxyethylene alkyl ether" may be referred to as "component (C1)."

Therefore, it is preferable that component (C) contains component (C1). It is preferable that the above hair styling composition contains component (C1).

Component (C1) is preferably a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether (at least one polyoxyethylene alkyl ether) selected from the group consisting of polyoxyethylene cetyl ether and polyoxyethylene stearyl ether. The average number of moles of oxyethylene added in component (C1) is preferably 2 or more, more preferably 5 or more, and preferably 50 or less, more preferably 30 or less.

From the viewpoint of further improving emulsion stability and usability (ease of running fingers through hair after styling), it is preferable that component (C) contains polyoxyethylene glycerin fatty acid ester.

In this specification, the above "polyoxyethylene glycerin fatty acid ester" may be referred to as "component (C2)."

Therefore, it is preferable that component (C) contains component (C2). It is preferable that the above hair styling composition contains component (C2).

Examples of component (C2) include polyoxyethylene glyceryl stearate, polyoxyethylene glyceryl isostearate, and polyoxyethylene glyceryl oleate.

Component (C2) is preferably polyoxyethylene glyceryl isostearate. The average number of moles of oxyethylene added in component (C2) is preferably 5 or more, more preferably 10 or more, and preferably 50 or less, more preferably 30 or less.

From the viewpoint of further improving emulsion stability and usability, it is preferable that component (C) contains component (C1) and component (C2). The above hair styling composition preferably contains component (C1) and component (C2).

In 100% by mass of the hair styling composition, the content of component (C1) is preferably 0.3% by mass or more, more preferably 0.7% by mass or more, even more preferably 1.5% by mass or more, preferably 10.0% by mass or less, more preferably 7.0% by mass or less, and even more preferably 5.0% by mass or less. When the content of component (C1) is equal to or more than the above lower limit and equal to or less than the above upper limit, the emulsion stability can be further improved.

In 100% by mass of the hair styling composition, the content of component (C2) is preferably 0.2% by mass or more, more preferably 0.5% by mass or more, preferably 2.0% by mass or less, more preferably 1.5% by mass or less. When the content of component (C2) is equal to or more than the above lower limit and equal to or less than the above upper limit, emulsion stability and usability can be further improved.

In 100% by mass of the hair styling composition, the content of component (C) is preferably 0.5% by mass or more, more preferably 1.0% by mass or more, even more preferably 2.0% by mass or more, preferably 10.0% by mass or less, more preferably 7.0% by mass or less, and even more preferably 5.0% by mass or less. When the content of component (C) is equal to or more than the above lower limit and equal to or less than the above upper limit, the emulsion stability can be further improved.

(Component (D))
Component (D) is water. Component (D) serves as a base. Component (D) is preferably purified water.

In 100% by mass of the hair styling composition, the content of component (D) is preferably 50.0% by mass or more, more preferably 60.0% by mass or more, preferably 90.0% by mass or less, more preferably 80.0% by mass or less.

(Component (E))
Component (E) is an oil (at least one oil) that is liquid at 25°C and is selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbon oils and ester oils. The hair styling composition preferably contains component (E). By using component (E), the hair can be easily combed with fingers after styling, resulting in a good feel when used. In addition, hair can be made well-mannered. Component (E) may be a hydrocarbon oil that is liquid at 25°C, an ester oil that is liquid at 25°C, or both a hydrocarbon oil that is liquid at 25°C and an ester oil that is liquid at 25°C. Only one type of component (E) may be used, or two or more types may be used in combination.

Note that the above "liquid at 25°C" means that the material has fluidity at 25°C.

Examples of the above-mentioned hydrocarbon oils (hydrocarbon oils that are liquid at 25°C) include liquid paraffin (mineral oil), liquid isoparaffin, α-olefin oligomers, and squalane.

The above ester oils (ester oils that are liquid at 25°C) include ethyl oleate, isopropyl myristate, isopropyl palmitate, oleyl oleate, octyldodecyl myristate, octyldodecyl oleate, tridecyl myristate, ethyl isostearate, isopropyl isostearate, propylene glycol isostearate, cetyl 2-ethylhexanoate, cetostearyl 2-ethylhexanoate, glyceryl tri-2-ethylhexanoate (trioctanoin), and tri(caprylic/capric acid). Examples include glyceryl, glyceryl triisopalmitate, pentaerythritol tetra 2-ethylhexanoate, diisopropyl adipate, isocetyl octanoate, isostearyl octanoate, isocetyl isostearate, octyldodecyl isostearate, octyldodecyl dimethyloctanoate, isononyl isononanoate, tridecyl isononanoate, pentaerythrityl tetraoctanoate, pentaerythrityl tetraisostearate, diisostearyl malate, and 2-ethylhexyl palmitate.

From the viewpoint of improving the feeling of use, it is preferable that component (E) contains an oil that is liquid at 25°C (at least one oil that is liquid at 25°C) selected from the group consisting of liquid paraffin, liquid isoparaffin, isononyl isononanoate, tridecyl isononanoate, and glyceryl tri-2-ethylhexanoate.

In this specification, the above "oil agent that is liquid at 25°C and is selected from the group consisting of liquid paraffin, liquid isoparaffin, isononyl isononanoate, tridecyl isononanoate, and glyceryl tri-2-ethylhexanoate" may be referred to as "component (E1)."

Therefore, it is preferable that component (E) contains component (E1). It is preferable that the above hair styling composition contains component (E1).

In 100% by mass of the hair styling composition, the content of component (E1) is preferably 1.0% by mass or more, more preferably 2.0% by mass or more, preferably 15.0% by mass or less, more preferably 12.0% by mass or less. When the content of component (E1) is equal to or more than the above lower limit and equal to or less than the above upper limit, the feeling when used can be further improved.

In 100% by mass of the hair styling composition, the content of component (E) is preferably 1.0% by mass or more, more preferably 2.0% by mass or more, preferably 15.0% by mass or less, more preferably 12.0% by mass or less. When the content of component (E) is equal to or more than the above lower limit and equal to or less than the above upper limit, the feeling when used can be further improved.

(Other ingredients)
The hair styling composition may contain other components in addition to the above-mentioned components (A) to (E). The other components are not particularly limited, but examples thereof include anionic surfactants, cationic surfactants, amphoteric surfactants, lower alcohols, polyhydric alcohols, oils that are solid at 25° C. different from both components (A) and (B), cooling agents, pH adjusters, preservatives, antioxidants, sequestering agents (EDTA, etc.), vitamins, animal and plant extracts, pearlizing agents, colorants, and fragrances. Only one type of each of the other components may be used, or two or more types may be used in combination.

<Lower alcohol>
The lower alcohol includes ethanol and the like.

<Polyhydric alcohol>
Examples of the polyhydric alcohol include glycerin, diglycerin, 1,3-butylene glycol, propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, 1,2-butanediol, 1,2-pentanediol, 1,2-hexanediol, 1,2-octanediol, 1,2-decanediol, polyethylene glycol, and polyoxypropylene methyl glucoside.

<Oil agent that is solid at 25° C. different from both component (A) and component (B)>
The hair styling composition may contain an oil agent that is solid at 25° C., other than both component (A) and component (B), but if it does contain one, it is preferably in a small amount. The hair styling composition preferably does not contain an oil agent that is solid at 25° C., other than both component (A) and component (B) (hereinafter, sometimes referred to as an oil agent (X) that is solid at 25° C.), or contains it in an amount of 10.0 mass% or less. When the hair styling composition contains the oil agent (X) that is solid at 25° C., the content of the oil agent (X) that is solid at 25° C. in 100 mass% of the hair styling composition is preferably 10.0 mass% or less, more preferably 5.0 mass% or less, even more preferably 3.0 mass% or less, even more preferably 1.0 mass% or less, particularly preferably 0.5 mass% or less, and most preferably 0 mass% (not contained). Therefore, it is most preferable that the hair styling composition does not contain the oil agent (X) that is solid at 25° C.

Note that "solid at 25°C" means that the material has no fluidity at 25°C.

Examples of the oil agent (X) that is solid at 25°C include animal and vegetable waxes, mineral waxes, and hydrocarbon waxes.

Examples of the above-mentioned animal and vegetable waxes (solid animal and vegetable waxes at 25°C) include beeswax, sunflower seed wax, candelilla wax, rice bran wax, shellac wax, and whale wax.

Examples of the mineral wax (mineral wax that is solid at 25°C) include montan wax.

The above-mentioned hydrocarbon wax (hydrocarbon wax that is solid at 25°C) may be a petroleum-derived wax or a synthetic wax. Examples of the above-mentioned hydrocarbon wax include ceresin, ozokerite, microcrystalline wax, polyethylene wax, and Fischer-Tropsch wax (synthetic wax).

[Propellant]
As the propellant, a conventionally known propellant can be used. Examples of the propellant include gases (particularly compressed gases) such as air, nitrogen, nitrous oxide, and carbon dioxide; and liquefied gases such as liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), dimethyl ether (DME), isopentane, fluorocarbon, and trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234ze-(E), etc.). Only one type of the propellant may be used, or two or more types may be used in combination.

The propellant contains a liquefied gas. By containing a liquefied gas in the propellant, the compatibility between the hair styling composition and the propellant can be increased, and the hair styling composition can be discharged in a foam form (foam) from the aerosol container. Only one type of the liquefied gas may be used, or two or more types may be used in combination.

From the viewpoint of further increasing the compatibility between the hair styling composition and the propellant, the liquefied gas is preferably a liquefied gas selected from the group consisting of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and dimethyl ether (DME), and is particularly preferably liquefied petroleum gas.

In 100% by mass of the propellant, the content of the liquefied gas is preferably 80.0% by mass or more, more preferably 90.0% by mass or more, even more preferably 99.0% by mass or more, and most preferably 100% by mass (total amount). When the content of the liquefied gas is equal to or more than the lower limit, the ejection properties in a foam state (foam state) are further improved.

[Aerosol foam hair styling product]
The aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention comprises an aerosol container, the hair styling agent composition, and the propellant. The aerosol container has a foam actuator. In the aerosol foam hair styling agent, the hair styling agent composition and the propellant are filled in the aerosol container. The hair styling agent composition is a blend of the contents filled in the aerosol container in the aerosol foam hair styling agent, excluding the propellant.

The aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention allows the hair styling agent composition to be discharged in foam form (foam) from an aerosol container.

The aerosol foam hair styling agent can be prepared by a known method. Examples of methods for preparing the aerosol foam hair styling agent include filling an aerosol container with the hair styling agent composition or each of the blended ingredients contained in the hair styling agent composition, clinching the aerosol container with an aerosol valve, filling the propellant through the stem, and attaching a foam actuator suitable for the stem.

The content of the hair styling composition in the total of 100% by mass of the hair styling composition and the propellant is preferably 80.0% by mass or more, more preferably 85.0% by mass or more, preferably 98.0% by mass or less, more preferably 95.0% by mass or less. When the content of the hair styling composition is equal to or more than the above lower limit and equal to or less than the above upper limit, the ejection properties in the form of foam (foam) are further improved.

The present invention will be specifically described below with reference to examples and comparative examples. The present invention is not limited to the following examples.

Preparation of aerosol foam hair styling agent:
The ingredients shown in Tables 1 to 6 below were blended (units of blending are mass%) to prepare hair styling compositions (undiluted solutions) having the compositions shown in Tables 1 to 6 below. The obtained hair styling compositions (undiluted solutions) were filled into an aerosol container (φ35 mm×105 mm, aluminum can, container full capacity 91 mL). Next, an aerosol valve was clinched onto the aerosol container, and then the propellant shown in Tables 1 to 6 was filled from the stem, and a foam actuator suitable for the stem was attached to prepare an aerosol foam hair styling agent. The blend amounts in the tables (blend amounts in 100% by mass of the hair styling composition) are shown as the blend amounts of pure components (units: mass%).

(Comparative Example 10)
Preparation of aerosol spray hair styling agent:
The ingredients shown in Table 6 below were blended (unit: mass%) to prepare a hair styling composition (undiluted solution) having the composition shown in Table 6 below. The obtained hair styling composition (undiluted solution) was filled into an aerosol spray container (φ35 mm×105 mm, aluminum can, container full capacity 91 mL). Next, an aerosol valve was clinched to the aerosol spray container, and then a propellant shown in Table 6 below was filled from the stem, and a suitable spray button was attached to the stem to prepare an aerosol spray hair styling agent. The blending amounts in the table (blending amounts in 100% by mass of the hair styling composition) are shown as the blending amounts of pure components (unit: mass%).

(evaluation)
The obtained aerosol foam hair styling agent and aerosol spray hair styling agent were evaluated as follows. The evaluation results are shown in Tables 1 to 6. The evaluation was performed by a panel of three experts, who decided the evaluation results through discussion.

(Test Example 1: Dischargeability)
The obtained aerosol foam hair styling agent was discharged from the aerosol container onto the palm of the hand for one second. The dischargeability was evaluated according to the following criteria.

In Comparative Examples 2 and 6 to 8, the blend could not be emulsified and the hair styling composition solidified, so further evaluation was not performed.

The aerosol spray hair styling product obtained in Comparative Example 10 was able to eject the hair styling product composition in a spray (mist) form from the aerosol container.

(Test Example 2: Hair styling properties for perm-like hairstyles)
For the aerosol foam hair styling agents obtained in Examples and Comparative Examples 1, 3 to 5, and 9, about 2 g of the hair styling agent composition was discharged from the aerosol container onto the palm. The hair styling agent composition discharged onto the palm was then evenly applied to about one-third of the head of a medium-length wig (manufactured by Eucalyptus Japan Co., Ltd.), and the hair was styled by gripping it. The above steps from discharging the hair styling agent composition to styling were repeated a total of three times (styling about one-third of the head three times in total), and the entire head of the wig was styled.

For the aerosol spray hair styling agent obtained in Comparative Example 10, the hair styling agent composition was sprayed directly from the aerosol container onto approximately one-third of the hair of a medium-length wig (manufactured by Eucalyptus Japan Co., Ltd.), and the hair was styled by gripping it. The above process from spraying the hair styling agent composition to styling was repeated a total of three times (styling approximately one-third of the head three times in total), and the entire head of the wig was styled.

The wig was styled to a perm-like hairstyle as described above. After styling, the wig was visually observed and its ability to be styled to a perm-like hairstyle was evaluated according to the following criteria.

＜(1) Strong hair curl styling power＞
◯ (Excellent): The hair has fine, strong U-shaped curls throughout, and the hairs appear to be intricately intertwined.
Δ (Good): Strong U-shaped curls are formed over the entire hair.
× (bad): No strong U-shaped curls are observed in the hair, or strong U-shaped curls are observed only in some of the hair on the surface.

＜(2) Hair-stylizing power＞
○ (Excellent): The hair stands up strongly, and a strong increase in volume is observed throughout the hair.
△ (Good): The hair stands up, and there is a clear increase in volume across the entire hair.
× (bad): No hair stands up at all, or only some of the hair on the surface stands up.

<(3) Styling ability for perm-like hairstyles>
◯◯: The evaluation results for "(1) styling power for strongly curling hair" and "(2) styling power for standing hair" were both ◯, and the hair was excellent in styling power for perm-like hairstyles.
○: Of the evaluation results of "(1) hair styling power to strongly curl hair" and "(2) hair styling power to stand hair up," one was ◯ and the other was △, indicating that the hair styling ability for perm-like hairstyles was good.
△: The evaluation results for "(1) hair styling power for strongly curling hair" and "(2) hair styling power for standing hair" were both △, and the hair styling power for perm-like hairstyles was somewhat good.
×: At least one of the evaluation results of "(1) hair styling power to strongly curl hair" and "(2) hair styling power to stand hair up" was ×, and hair styling into a perm-like hairstyle was not possible.

The compositions and results are shown in Tables 1 to 6 below. Figure 1 shows a photograph of a medium-length wig that was styled into a perm-like hairstyle using the aerosol foam hair styling agent obtained in Example 1. Figure 1(a) is a front photograph, and Figure 1(b) is a side photograph. Note that Comparative Examples 1, 3 to 5, and 9 were poor in the styling power to curl hair or to stand hair, and therefore could not be styled into a perm-like hairstyle. Also, in Comparative Example 10, only a portion of the hair on the surface was curled and only a portion of the hair on the surface stood up, and therefore could not be styled into a perm-like hairstyle.

Figure 2 shows an example of partial hair styling using the aerosol foam hair styling agent obtained in Example 1. More specifically, Figure 2 shows an example of hair styling in which the front part of a medium-length wig is styled using the aerosol foam hair styling agent obtained in Example 1. Figure 2(a) is a front photograph, and Figure 2(b) is a side photograph. As shown in Figure 2, the aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention can be used to partially style hair, or to weaken the gripping force when styling the hair by gripping it, allowing hair styles other than perm-like styles to be styled.

Tables 7 and 8 below show examples of formulations for the aerosol foam hair styling agent of the present invention.
