Abstract

Description

This disclosure relates to disposable diapers, and in particular to disposable diapers that are pants-type absorbent articles that are easy to put on by a single person, have excellent adjustments for fitting closely to the body, and are comfortable to wear.

Patent Document 1 discloses a pants-type disposable diaper. The diaper has an absorbent body, a crotch exterior part, a front body part, and a rear body part. The crotch exterior part, the front body part, and the rear body part correspond to exterior members and are joined to the absorbent body. The front body part and the rear body part are connected in a ring shape, which results in a pants-type diaper with a waist opening and a pair of leg openings.

When putting on a conventional pants-type paper diaper as described in Patent Document 1, one leg is inserted into the waist opening and then into one of the leg openings (also called a "leg hole"), then the other leg is inserted into the waist opening and then into the other leg opening. However, in conventional pants-type paper diapers, the waist and waist areas are contracted by an elastic member, so the opening in the waist area where the feet are inserted first is narrow, and there is a possibility that the feet may get caught and the wearer may fall when putting on the diaper. In addition, because the feet are inserted one at a time, there is a possibility that the wearer may lose balance when putting on the diaper. In particular, wearers whose physical functions are beginning to deteriorate may get their feet caught in the leg openings and fall when putting on a pants-type paper diaper.

In addition, if the waist end is not pulled up sufficiently when worn, the absorbent body will not fit snugly against the body (specifically, the urination area), which can cause urine leakage.

In one aspect, the present disclosure aims to provide a disposable diaper as a pants-type absorbent article that is easy to put on by a single person and allows the degree of tightness and closeness to the body to be adjusted.

In order to solve the above problems, the disposable diaper of the present invention comprises an outer body having a waist region located around the waist of the wearer when worn and a crotch region located between the crotch of the wearer, an absorbent disposed in at least the crotch region of the outer body, and a waist adjustment section disposed in the waist region of the outer body and capable of adjusting the waist size, and at least one end of the waist adjustment section in the waist direction of the wearer is detachable from the outer body.

The disposable diaper according to the present invention may further include a crotch adjustment section disposed from the crotch region of the outer body to the waist region to adjust the crotch width, and the crotch adjustment section may have one end fixed to the outer body in a direction extending from the crotch to the abdominal side of the wearer, and the other end detachable from the outer body.

The disposable diaper according to the present invention may be configured such that a hook tape is provided at an end of the waist adjustment section that is detachable from the outer body.

The disposable diaper according to the present invention may be configured such that a hook tape is provided at an end of the crotch adjustment section that is detachable from the outer body.

In the disposable diaper according to the present invention, the waist adjustment section may be formed from an elastic material that is stretchable at least in the waist direction of the wearer.

In the disposable diaper according to the present invention, the crotch adjustment section may be formed from an elastic material that is stretchable at least in a direction extending from the crotch to the abdominal side of the wearer.

The disposable diaper according to the present invention may be configured such that an elastic member having an elongation rate of 120% or more and 150% or less is disposed in the waist region of the outer cover.

In one aspect, the present invention makes it easier for a person to put on a disposable diaper by themselves, and also makes it possible to adjust the degree of tightness and fit of the disposable diaper to the body.

The following describes an embodiment of the present invention with reference to the attached drawings.

The terms used in this specification are defined as follows. Wearing a disposable diaper means the state in which the disposable diaper is worn on the body, regardless of whether bodily fluids are absorbed before, during, or after absorption. Although disposable diapers are usually worn on the body inside clothing, they may be worn on the body so that at least a part of them is exposed to the outside. In addition, "front" is the direction that faces the wearer's stomach when the disposable diaper is worn, and "rear" is the direction that faces the wearer's back. "Top" is the direction that faces the wearer's head when the disposable diaper is worn, and "bottom" is the direction that faces the wearer's legs when the disposable diaper is worn. "Right-left direction" is a direction perpendicular to the front-back direction and the up-down direction, and is a direction that faces the left and right when viewed from a wearer facing forward. "Longitudinal direction" is a direction that extends roughly from the front to the back through the wearer's crotch when the disposable diaper is worn (in other words, from the wearer's stomach through the crotch to the back). "Width direction" is a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and along the left and right. "Thickness direction" refers to the direction in which each component is layered perpendicular to the width direction. "Skin side" refers to the side in the thickness direction that contacts the wearer's skin or faces the skin when the disposable diaper is worn, and "non-skin side" refers to the side opposite the skin side in the thickness direction, that is, the side of the wearer's clothing that does not contact the wearer's skin when the disposable diaper is worn. Body fluids refer to liquids discharged from the body to the outside, such as urine, blood, and water in loose stools.

(Overall configuration of exterior body)
The exterior body 20 is a member that constitutes the pants-like outer shape of the disposable diaper 10 when the disposable diaper 10 is worn. The exterior body 20 is formed, for example, by laminating a nonwoven fabric sheet 21 and an elastic member 22 that is a member having stretchability. Note that a plurality of nonwoven fabric sheets 21 may be laminated.

For example, nonwoven fabric such as thermal bonded nonwoven fabric, air-through nonwoven fabric, spunbonded nonwoven fabric, etc. is used as the nonwoven fabric sheet 21, and preferably air-through nonwoven fabric or spunbonded nonwoven fabric made of a thermoplastic resin such as polypropylene, polyester, or polyethylene is used.

The exterior body 20 has a waist region 23 that is located in a portion including the wearer's waist (in other words, at a height position) when the disposable diaper 10 is worn, and a crotch region 25 that is located between the wearer's legs.

The waist region 23 has a front waist region 231 located on the wearer's abdomen (in other words, in front of the abdomen) when the disposable diaper 10 is worn, and a rear waist region 232 located on the wearer's back (in other words, behind the back). The front waist region 231 and the rear waist region 232 each have a side seal portion 24 formed at both ends in the left-right direction (in other words, in the width direction), and are joined to each other by the side seal portion 24 to form a belt-shaped (in other words, cylindrical) waist region 23.

The side seal portion 24 may extend at an angle in the vertical direction so that the diameter of the waist opening 26 at the upper end of the waist region 23 is larger than the diameter of the opening at the lower end of the waist region 23 (i.e., the joint with the crotch region 25) (see FIG. 1), or may extend along the vertical direction. That is, the waist region 23 may be formed into a tapered cylinder with a large diameter at the upper end and a small diameter at the lower end, or may be formed into a cylinder with the diameters of the upper end and the lower end being the same.

The crotch region 25 is a region located between the front waist region 231 and the rear waist region 232 in the longitudinal direction. The two ends of the crotch region 25 in the left-right direction (in other words, the width direction) are not joined to each other, thereby forming left and right leg openings 27a, 27b.

In other words, the waist region 23 (specifically, the front waist region 231 and the rear waist region 232) is a region in which the side seals 24 are provided on both sides in the left-right direction (width direction), and the leg openings 27a, 27b are not formed. The crotch region 25 is a region in which the side seals 24 are not provided on both sides in the left-right direction (width direction), and the leg openings 27a, 27b are formed.

Both ends of the front waist region 231 in the left-right direction (width direction) and both ends of the rear waist region 232 in the left-right direction (width direction) are joined to each other to form the left and right side seal portions 24. The left and right ends of the front waist region 231 and the rear waist region 232 are connected to each other, the front end of the crotch region 25 (in other words, the front upper end) is connected to the lower end of the front waist region 231, and the rear end of the crotch region 25 (in other words, the rear upper end) is connected to the lower end of the rear waist region 232, so that the exterior body 20 is configured in a pants-like shape as a whole. In the following description, the direction of the exterior body 20 refers to the direction when worn by a wearer.

(Elastic member)
The elastic members 22 provide stretchability to the disposable diaper 10. At least a waist elastic member 221 and a leg elastic member 222 are provided as the elastic members 22 in the disposable diaper 10. The elastic members used in the disposable diaper 10 may include, in addition to the waist elastic member 221 and the leg elastic member 222, other elastic members that provide stretchability to the disposable diaper 10.

The exterior body 20 has a waist opening 26 at the upper end of the waist region 23 (specifically, the front waist region 231 and the rear waist region 232) and leg openings 27a, 27b on both the left and right sides of the crotch region 25.

The waist opening 26 is an upward opening through which the wearer's torso passes when worn, and is formed by the upper edge of the waist region 23 (specifically, both the front waist region 231 and the rear waist region 232). The upper end portion of the waist region 23 (in other words, the peripheral edge of the waist opening 26) is stretchable in the circumferential direction (in other words, in the direction of the wearer's torso).

A waist elastic member 221 that can stretch in the circumferential direction of the waist opening 26 (the direction of the wearer's waist) is arranged at the upper end portion of the waist region 23. The waist elastic members 221 are arranged in multiple stages spaced apart from each other in the vertical direction. Each waist elastic member 221 is bonded to the nonwoven fabric sheet 21 of the waist region 23. The nonwoven fabric sheet 21 and the waist elastic member 221 are bonded to each other, for example, via a hot melt adhesive that is interposed only between the nonwoven fabric sheet 21 and the waist elastic member 221.

The waist elastic member 221 is provided so as to exert a gripping force sufficient to hold the paper diaper 10 around the wearer's waist and waist when the waist region 23 is pulled up to an appropriate position (specifically, at the waist) in order to put on the paper diaper 10, so that the paper diaper 10 will not slip off even if the wearer releases both hands.

The elongation rate of the waist elastic member 221 arranged in the waist region 23 is not limited to a specific value, but is, for example, about 110% or more, preferably about 120%, and is, for example, about 160% or less, preferably about 150%. Therefore, it is preferable that the elongation rate of the waist elastic member 221 is, specifically, for example, 120% or more and 150% or less.

The left and right leg openings 27a, 27b each open, for example, diagonally downward, are portions through which the wearer's legs pass when worn, and are formed by both left and right end edges of the crotch region 25. Both left and right end portions of the crotch region 25 (in other words, the peripheral portions of the left and right leg openings 27a, 27b) are stretchable in the circumferential direction (in other words, the direction around the base of the wearer's legs).

At each of the left and right end portions of the crotch region 25, elastic leg members 222 are arranged that can stretch along the circumferential direction of the leg openings 27a, 27b (around the base of the wearer's legs). The leg elastic members 222 are arranged in multiple stages spaced apart from each other in a direction perpendicular to the circumferential direction of the leg openings 27a, 27b. Each of the leg elastic members 222 is bonded to the nonwoven fabric sheet 21 of the crotch region 25. The nonwoven fabric sheet 21 and the leg elastic members 222 are bonded to each other, for example, via a hot melt adhesive that is interposed only between the nonwoven fabric sheet 21 and the leg elastic members 222.

As the waist elastic member 221 and the leg elastic member 222, elastic members with stretchability, such as thread-like, string-like, strip-like, or flat-shaped materials such as natural rubber, synthetic rubber, or polyurethane, are appropriately used.

(Absorber)
The absorbent body 40 is a member that extends in a generally strip-like shape along the longitudinal direction (front-to-back direction) below the crotch area of the wearer to absorb and retain bodily fluids. The absorbent body 40 in the present invention is not limited to a specific form or specification. The following is merely one example of the absorbent body 40 used in the present invention.

The absorbent body 40 is disposed extending over an area that faces the wearer's lower abdomen and buttocks mainly on the inner surface side (i.e., the skin side) of the crotch region 25 of the outer body 20, and is joined and supported by the outer body 20. The absorbent body 40 is fixed to the outer body 20 by, for example, a hot melt adhesive, heat fusion, ultrasonic bonding, etc.

The absorbent body 40 has a generally belt-like shape in the front-to-rear direction that covers the wearer's crotch area from the front, bottom, and back. The front end of the absorbent body 40 may extend to the front waist region 231 of the exterior body 20, and the rear end of the absorbent body 40 may extend to the rear waist region 232 of the exterior body 20.

The absorbent body 40 includes a liquid-permeable top sheet 41 on the skin side, a liquid-impermeable back sheet 42 on the non-skin side, and an absorbent body 43 disposed between the top sheet 41 and the back sheet 42.

The top sheet 41 may be formed from a substrate having liquid permeability that allows bodily fluids to move to the absorbent body 43. Examples of substrates include nonwoven fabrics such as thermal bonded nonwoven fabrics, composite nonwoven fabrics in which thermal bonded nonwoven fabrics/spunbonded nonwoven fabrics are laminated, perforated films such as perforated polyethylene films, foamed films such as polyethylene foams and urethane foams, or composite sheets in which these are laminated. In addition, the top sheet 41 may be embossed or perforated on the surface in order to improve liquid permeability. As a method for performing these embossing and perforation processes, any known method can be used without limitation. In addition, in order to reduce irritation to the skin, the top sheet 41 may contain lotion, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory component, pH adjuster, antibacterial agent, moisturizer, etc. The shape of the top sheet 41 is not particularly limited, but it may be a shape that covers the absorbent body 43 in order to guide bodily fluids to the absorbent body 43 without leakage.

The back sheet 42 may be formed using a liquid-impermeable substrate so that the body fluid held by the absorbent body 43 does not leak to the non-skin side. The back sheet 42 is formed from a material such as a resin film or a composite sheet in which a resin film and a nonwoven fabric are laminated. The nonwoven fabric used in the composite sheet is not particularly limited in its manufacturing method, and examples thereof include composite nonwoven fabrics in which multiple nonwoven fabrics of the same type and/or different types are laminated, such as spunbond nonwoven fabric, meltblown nonwoven fabric, spunbond nonwoven fabric/meltblown nonwoven fabric, spunbond nonwoven fabric/meltblown nonwoven fabric/spunbond nonwoven fabric, and composite materials thereof. Examples of the resin film include polyester, polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene, polypropylene, and composite films of polyethylene and polypropylene.

The back sheet 42 is preferably breathable to prevent stuffiness during wear. To make the back sheet 42 breathable, for example, a filler may be blended into the resin film of the base material, or the back sheet 42 may be embossed. An example of the filler is calcium carbonate, and the blending method can be any known method without restriction. For example, a porous (breathable) resin film can be obtained by kneading the resin and the filler, forming the resulting kneaded product into a film, and removing the filler from the resulting film.

The absorbent body 43 includes a body fluid absorbing material, and preferably includes a base material and a body fluid absorbing material held by the base material. The body fluid absorbing material is not particularly limited as long as it absorbs and holds body fluids, but examples thereof include fluff pulp and super absorbent polymer (SAP). The base material of the absorbent body 43 is not particularly limited as long as it is generally used in absorbent articles such as sanitary napkins, diapers, and urine pads, and is formed from materials such as fluff pulp, cotton, rayon, acetate, tissue, absorbent paper, and hydrophilic nonwoven fabric. Among these, fluff pulp is preferably used from the viewpoint of absorbency. Examples of fluff pulp include wood pulp, synthetic fiber, polymer fiber, non-wood pulp, etc., which have been defibrated into a cotton-like state.

There are no particular limitations on the SAP as long as it can absorb body fluids and prevent backflow, and examples of the SAP include those made from materials such as polyacrylates, polyaspartates, (starch-acrylic acid) graft copolymers, (acrylic acid-vinyl alcohol) copolymers, (isobutylene-maleic anhydride) copolymers, and saponified products thereof. Among these, polyacrylates are preferred from the viewpoint of absorption per weight, and sodium polyacrylates are more preferred.

The absorbent body 43 preferably contains a base material and SAP, and examples of its configuration include a base material formed by mixing SAP particles into the base material, and an SAP sheet in which SAP particles are fixed between the base materials. From the viewpoint of preventing the SAP particles from falling off and stabilizing the shape of the absorbent body 43, it is preferable to wrap the absorbent body 43 in a carrier sheet. SAP may also be formed into a fibrous form and mixed into the base material. The base material of the carrier sheet may be any material that has hydrophilicity, and examples of the base material include hydrophilic nonwoven fabrics such as tissue, absorbent paper, and airlaid nonwoven fabric. When the absorbent body 43 has multiple carrier sheets, the base materials of the carrier sheets may be the same or different.

The shape of the absorbent body 43 is not particularly limited, and examples include a rectangular shape, an hourglass shape, an I-shape, a rectangular shape with rounded corners, an oval shape, and an elliptical shape that is long in one direction. The absorbent body 43 may be used in two or more layers.

The absorbent body 40 may include a pair of three-dimensional gathers (not shown) for preventing side leakage of bodily fluids. The three-dimensional gathers may have their outer widthwise ends fixed to the skin-side surface of the back sheet 42, their middle widthwise portions fixed to the skin-side surface of the top sheet 41, and their inner widthwise ends acting as free ends and extending onto the skin-side surface of the top sheet 41. By configuring the three-dimensional gathers in this way, the free ends of the three-dimensional gathers are given standing ability, making them deformable to fit the wearer's body shape.

(Waist adjustment section)
The waist adjustment portion has a function of adjusting the degree of tightening of the waist region 23 around the wearer's body (particularly the abdomen, back, and waist) when the disposable diaper 10 is worn, and is provided for the waist region 23. In the example shown in the figure, a pair of waist adjustment portions 60a, 60b are provided on the left and right sides.

The left and right waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b are attached to the waist region 23 by the side seal part 24 that joins the front waist region 231 and the rear waist region 232 to each other. One end of the waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b that is attached to the waist region 23, i.e., the part that overlaps with the side seal part 24, is called the "base end 61," and the end opposite the base end 61 in the left-right direction is called the "tip end 62."

The left and right waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b are each configured to rotate around the base end 61 as a rotation axis toward the front surface of the front waist region 231 (i.e., the surface opposite the skin) along the wearer's waist direction.

The dimensions of the waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b in the direction of the wearer's waist are adjusted so that the tip 62 can be positioned near the center in the left-right direction of the front of the front waist region 231 after the waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b appropriately adjust the degree of tightness of the waist region 23 around the body.

The waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b do not need to be stretchable, but are preferably made of an elastic material that is stretchable at least in the direction of the wearer's waist. Note that stretchability in the vertical direction is not necessarily required. The waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b are preferably made of an elastic material that is stretchable, such as cloth, nonwoven fabric, or stretchable nonwoven fabric. The waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b may be made of the same material as the nonwoven fabric sheet 21 of the exterior body 20.

In the illustrated example, the waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b are attached to the waist region 23 by the side seal parts 24, but this is not limited to the embodiment and they may be attached to the waist region 23 by hot melt adhesive. In this case, the waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b (specifically, the base end 61) may be attached to the front waist region 231 or the rear waist region 232.

When the tip 62 of each of the left and right waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b is rotated to the front surface (i.e., the surface not facing the skin) of the front waist region 231, a hook tape 63 is provided in a band shape along the edge (i.e., roughly along the vertical direction) at a position close to the edge of the tip 62, allowing the waist adjustment part 60a, 60b to be attached and detached to the front waist region 231 or the front surface (the surface not facing the skin) of the other waist adjustment part 60b, 60a.

The hook tape 63 of the waist adjustment parts 60a and 60b is a means for attaching and detaching the waist adjustment parts 60a and 60b, which has the function of a hook material of a hook-and-loop fastener, and can be attached and detached to and from the waist area 23 (specifically, the front waist area 231 in the example shown in the figure) and the front surface (non-skin side surface) of the waist adjustment parts 60a and 60b. That is, the hook tape 63 functions as a means for attaching and detaching the tip 62 of the waist adjustment parts 60a and 60b and the waist area 23 or the other waist adjustment parts 60b and 60a, which can be separated from each other and removed, and attached to each other. In addition, when the hook tape 63 is provided on the waist adjustment parts 60a and 60b, a loop tape (i.e., a means for attaching and detaching the hook tape 63 and having the function of a loop material of a hook-and-loop fastener) may be provided on the waist area 23 or the front surface (non-skin side surface) of the waist adjustment parts 60a and 60b so as to extend along the waist direction of the wearer.

The attachment/detachment means between the waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b and the front waist region 231 or the other waist adjustment parts 60b, 60a is not limited to the hook tape 63. For example, an adhesive tape may be provided on the skin-facing surface of the tip 62 of the waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b, and the adhesive tape may function as the attachment/detachment means.

In the illustrated example, the waist adjustment parts 60a and 60b are arranged to rotate around the base end 61 as a pivot toward the front surface (non-skin side surface) of the front waist region 231, but are not limited to this embodiment. They may also be arranged to rotate around the base end 61 as a pivot toward the rear surface (non-skin side surface) of the rear waist region 232. For example, the base end 61 may be attached to the front of the front waist region 231 (i.e., the center in the left-right direction) or a position nearby, and the tip end 62 may be detachable from a position near the front of the side seal part 24 (i.e., the front waist region 231) or a position near the rear of the side seal part 24 (i.e., the rear waist region 232).

In the illustrated example, the waist adjustment parts 60a and 60b have one end, the base end 61, in the direction of the wearer's waist, fixed to the exterior body 20 (specifically, the waist region 23) and the other end, the tip end 62, detachable from the exterior body 20, but are not limited to this form and both ends in the direction of the wearer's waist (i.e., the base end 61 and the tip end 62) may be detachable from the exterior body 20. When both ends in the direction of the wearer's waist (i.e., the base end 61 and the tip end 62) are detachable from the exterior body 20, the waist adjustment parts 60a and 60b can be reused when changing the disposable diaper 10.

In the example shown in the figure, the waist adjustment parts are provided as a pair on the left and right (specifically, left and right waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b), but this is not limited to this form and only one may be provided on the left or right side. In this case, for example, the base end of the waist adjustment part may be attached to the right side seal part 24 or a position adjacent to the right side seal part 24 (or may be made detachable), and the tip part may be attached and detached to a position adjacent to the left side seal part 24.

(Inseam adjustment section)
The crotch adjustment section 70 is provided in the crotch region 25 and has the function of adjusting the degree of adhesion of the crotch region 25 (including the absorbent body 40) to the wearer's body (particularly the crotch region) when the paper diaper 10 is worn.

The crotch adjustment section 70 is attached to the crotch region 25, for example, by hot melt adhesive. One end of the crotch adjustment section 70 that is attached to the crotch region 25 is called the "base end 71," and the end opposite the base end 71 in the longitudinal direction of the crotch region 25 is called the "tip end 72."

The crotch adjustment section 70 is configured to rotate around the base end 71 as a rotation axis along the longitudinal direction of the crotch region 25 toward the front surface (i.e., the surface opposite the skin) of the front waist region 231.

The longitudinal dimension of the crotch adjustment section 70 is adjusted so that the tip end 72 can be positioned near the center in the left-right direction of the front of the front waist region 231 after appropriately adjusting the degree of adhesion of the crotch region 25 (including the absorbent body 40) to the body by the crotch adjustment section 70.

The crotch adjustment section 70 does not necessarily have to be stretchable, but is preferably made of an elastic material that is stretchable at least in the longitudinal direction. It is not necessarily required that the crotch adjustment section 70 be stretchable in the width direction. Specifically, the crotch adjustment section 70 is preferably made of an elastic material that is stretchable, such as cloth, nonwoven fabric, or stretchable nonwoven fabric. The crotch adjustment section 70 may be made of the same material as the nonwoven fabric sheet 21 of the outer body 20, or may be made of the same material as the waist adjustment sections 60a, 60b.

The crotch adjustment section 70 (specifically, the base end 71) may be attached to a position near the lower end of the front side of the crotch region 25 between the left and right leg openings 27a, 27b, or may be attached to the lower end of the crotch region 25, or may be attached to a position near the lower end of the rear side of the crotch region 25.

When the tip 72 of the crotch adjustment part 70 is rotated to the front surface (i.e., the surface opposite the skin) of the front waist region 231, a hook tape 73 is provided in a band shape along the edge (i.e., along the width direction) at a position close to the edge of the tip 72, allowing the crotch adjustment part 70 to be attached and detached to the front surface (non-skin surface) of the waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b.

The hook tape 73 of the crotch adjustment section 70 is a means for attaching and detaching the crotch adjustment section 70 with the function of a hook material of a hook-and-loop fastener, and can be attached and detached to the front surface (non-skin side surface) of the waist adjustment section 60a, 60b. The hook tape 73 functions as a means for attaching and detaching the crotch adjustment section 70's tip end 72 and the waist adjustment section 60a, 60b to a detached state in which they are separated from each other, and to an attached state in which they are attached to each other. When the hook tape 73 is provided on the crotch adjustment section 70, a loop tape (i.e., a means for attaching and detaching the crotch adjustment section 70 with the function of a loop material of a hook-and-loop fastener) corresponding to the hook tape 73 may be provided on the front surface (non-skin side surface) of the waist adjustment section 60a, 60b so as to extend along the longitudinal direction (in other words, the vertical direction).

The attachment/detachment means between the crotch adjustment section 70 and the waist adjustment sections 60a, 60b is not limited to the hook tape 73. For example, an adhesive tape may be provided on the skin-facing surface of the tip 72 of the crotch adjustment section 70, and the adhesive tape may function as the attachment/detachment means.

In the illustrated example, the crotch adjustment unit 70 has one end in the longitudinal direction, the base end 71, fixed to the exterior body 20 (specifically, the crotch region 25), and the other end, the tip end 72, detachable from the exterior body 20, but is not limited to this configuration, and both ends in the longitudinal direction (i.e., the base end 71 and the tip end 72) may be detachable from the exterior body 20. When both ends in the longitudinal direction (i.e., the base end 71 and the tip end 72) are detachable from the exterior body 20, the crotch adjustment unit 70 can be reused when changing the disposable diaper 10.

(Putting on a disposable diaper)
When the disposable diaper 10 is put on, it is first placed in a detached state (see FIG. 1) in which the tip ends 62 of the left and right waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b and the tip end 72 of the crotch adjustment part 70 are not attached.

When putting on the disposable diaper 10, the user first inserts one leg from above into the waist opening 26 of the removed disposable diaper 10, inserting it inside the waist area 23, and then inserting it into the inside of the leg opening corresponding to one of the left and right leg openings 27a, 27b, for example up to the ankle or midway up the shin.

The user then inserts the other leg from above into the waist opening 26 of the removed disposable diaper 10, passing it through the inside of the waist region 23, and then further into the inside of the leg opening 27a, 27b that corresponds to the other leg (i.e., the leg opening through which the other leg is not inserted), for example up to the ankle or mid-shin.

After inserting both legs through the left and right leg openings 27a, 27b, the user pulls up the waist region 23, and thus the disposable diaper 10, to an appropriate position (specifically, around the waist) for wearing.

Next, the user turns the tip 62 of one of the left and right waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b (in the example shown in the figure, the left waist adjustment part 60a) forward and attaches the hook tape 63 of the left waist adjustment part 60a to the front surface of the front waist region 231 (i.e., the surface facing away from the skin) (see Figure 2).

The user then turns the tip 62 of the other of the left and right waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b (in the example shown in the figure, the right waist adjustment part 60b) forward and attaches the hook tape 63 of the right waist adjustment part 60b to the front surface (i.e., the surface facing away from the skin) of the left waist adjustment part 60a (see Figure 3).

By changing the position where the hook tape 63 at the tip 62 of each of the left and right waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b is attached, and by changing the amount of wrapping around the waist of the user (wearer), the user can adjust the length around the waist opening 26 (referred to as the "waist size") and adjust the degree of tightening of the waist area 23 around the user's body (particularly the abdomen, back, and lower back). Specifically, the length around the waist opening 26 when the left and right waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b are attached after being adjusted in position (waist size L2 in Figures 3 and 4) is shorter than the length around the waist opening 26 of the disposable diaper 10 in the removed state (waist size L1 in Figure 1).

Next, the user turns the tip 72 of the crotch adjustment part 70, which is hanging down in front of the crotch region 25, forward and pulls it upward, and attaches the hook tape 73 of the crotch adjustment part 70 to the front (i.e., the non-skin side) of the left and right waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b attached to the front waist region 231 (see Figure 4).

By changing the position where the hook tape 73 at the tip 72 of the crotch adjustment section 70 is attached, and by changing the amount of lift in the longitudinal direction, the user can adjust the dimension from the crotch area to the abdomen (called the "crotch width dimension") and adjust the degree of adhesion of the crotch area 25 (including the absorbent body 40) to the user's body (particularly the crotch area).

The user can now put on and wear the disposable diaper 10.

Here, a stretchable waist elastic member 221 is arranged in the circumferential direction (around the wearer's waist) of the waist opening 26 of the belt-shaped (in other words, cylindrical) waist region 23, and exerts a gripping force sufficient to hold the paper diaper 10 around the wearer's waist and waist. This means that when the waist region 23 is pulled up to an appropriate position (specifically, around the waist) in order to put on the paper diaper 10, the paper diaper 10 will not slip off even if both hands are released.

As a result, the left and right waist adjustment sections 60a, 60b and the crotch adjustment section 70 can be attached with both hands, improving the safety and ease of putting on the disposable diaper 10 by a single user, and also making it easier to adjust the tightness of the waist region 23 to the body and the fit of the crotch region 25 (including the absorbent body 40) to the body.

(Action and Effect)
According to the disposable diaper 10 of the embodiment, the waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b are provided in the waist region 23 of the outer cover 20 and are capable of adjusting the waist size, so that the left and right waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b and the waist region 23 (specifically, the front waist region 231 in the example shown in the figure) can be separated from each other in a detached state. In the detached state, the waist opening 26 is wider than when the diaper is worn, so that it is possible to prevent the user's feet from getting caught when wearing the diaper, thereby reducing the risk of falling, and thus improving the safety and ease of wearing by a single user. In addition, since there is no need to insert the feet into the waist opening 26 that has been contracted and narrowed, and there is no need to pull and widen the gathers around the waist and waist, it is possible to improve the ease of wearing by a single user.

The disposable diaper 10 according to the embodiment also includes waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b that are arranged in the waist region 23 of the outer cover 20 and can adjust the waist size. When the left and right waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b are turned from the left to the right to the front and attached to the waist region 23 (specifically, the front waist region 231 in the example shown in the figure), the user can easily adjust the degree of tightening of the waist region 23 to the body (particularly the abdomen, back, and waist) by the amount of turning of the left and right waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b. Therefore, even wearers with various body shapes and different sizes of each part of the body can easily adjust and appropriately set the degree of tightening of the waist region 23 so that it fits the body when wearing the disposable diaper 10, which in turn makes it possible to improve comfort when wearing the diaper.

The disposable diaper 10 according to the embodiment is also provided with a crotch adjustment section 70 that is arranged from the crotch region 25 of the outer cover 20 to the waist region 23 and that can adjust the crotch width. When the crotch adjustment section 70 that hangs down in front of the crotch region 25 is pulled forward and upward and attached to the left and right waist adjustment sections 60a, 60b attached to the waist region 23 (specifically, the front waist region 231 in the example shown in the figure), the user can easily adjust the degree of adhesion of the crotch region 25 (including the absorbent body 40) to the body (particularly the crotch region) by the amount of pulling up the crotch adjustment section 70. Therefore, even if the wearer has various body shapes with different physiques and sizes of each part of the body, it is possible to easily adjust and appropriately set the degree of adhesion of the crotch region 25 (including the absorbent body 40) so that it fits the body when the disposable diaper 10 is worn, and it is possible to prevent urine leakage.

According to the embodiment, it is therefore possible to provide a disposable diaper 10 as a pants-type absorbent article that is easy to put on by a single person and allows the degree of tightness and closeness to the body to be adjusted. This allows even a wearer whose physical functions are beginning to deteriorate to put on the disposable diaper 10 by themselves, preventing the wearer from falling over when putting on the diaper due to the wearer's toes getting caught, and also makes it possible to easily and appropriately fit the disposable diaper 10 to the body.

In the disposable diaper 10 according to the embodiment, when the disposable diaper 10 is to be disposed of after use, the entire disposable diaper 10 can be rolled up small and secured using either the left or right waist circumference adjustment parts 60a, 60b or the crotch adjustment part 70, thereby improving the ease of disposal.

Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the specific configuration of the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments, and the present invention also includes modifications and changes to the above-mentioned embodiments that do not deviate from the gist of the present invention.

For example, in the above embodiment, the left and right waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b and the crotch adjustment part 70 are provided, but only the left and right waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b may be provided. In this case, the effect of the left and right waist adjustment parts 60a, 60b is to prevent the user's toes from getting caught when putting on the garment, reducing the risk of falling, and ultimately improving the safety and ease of putting on the garment by the user alone.

Claims (7)

An outer body having a waist region located at a portion including a wearer's waist when worn and a crotch region located between the wearer's legs;
an absorbent body disposed in at least the crotch region of the exterior body;
a waist adjustment section disposed in the waist region of the exterior body and capable of adjusting a waist size;
At least one end of the waist adjustment part in the waist direction of the wearer is detachable from the exterior body.
A paper diaper characterized by the above. The garment further includes a crotch adjustment section disposed from the crotch region of the outer cover to the waist region and capable of adjusting a crotch width dimension,
At least one end of the crotch adjustment portion in a direction extending from the crotch to the abdominal side of the wearer is detachable from the exterior body.
2. The disposable diaper according to claim 1 . A hook tape is provided at an end of the waist adjustment portion that is detachable from the exterior body.
