Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to an umbrella with an integrated storage case, which can be carried around with the ribs and fabric stored in the storage case when the long umbrella or folding umbrella is closed.

Umbrella covers are generally known as a means for transporting or storing umbrellas when not in use.

Conventionally, there have been detachable umbrella covers that are stored when the umbrella is closed, and umbrella covers that can completely protect one's belongings and other people from a wet umbrella body.

However, with these umbrella covers, you have to choose the thickness of the umbrella you want to use. Also, the umbrella cover is not integrated with the umbrella, so it takes time to store the umbrella cover in the cover storage section and it is also troublesome to have to carry it separately.

For this reason, an umbrella cover has been proposed that is roughly cylindrical, has rubber-squeezed openings at both ends, and is fixed on the handle side, storing the umbrella cover on the handle side when the umbrella is in use and covering the entire umbrella when the umbrella is not in use (see Patent Document 1).

However, the proposal in Patent Document 1 has a problem in that an umbrella cover must be prepared separately from the umbrella, and there is also a problem in that the cover must be slid down and up when in use, which is time-consuming.

The present invention has been made in consideration of the above problems, and has an object to provide an umbrella with an integrated storage case, regardless of whether it is a long umbrella or a folding umbrella.

In order to solve the above problems, the present invention comprises the following means.
In other words, this umbrella has an upper wheel, a lower wheel, a center rod and a storage case, and the storage case is attached to the lower wheel using a connecting part, so that the entire umbrella can be stored when closed.

Fig. 2 shows a side view of the umbrella in an open state. A pair of parallel slits are provided in the storage case 4 to allow it to be opened and closed. After opening the closed storage case 4, sliding the wheel 3 upward along the center rod 5 causes the ribs 1 to expand and the fabric 8 to expand, functioning as an umbrella. The storage case 4 is joined to the wheel 3, so that it does not get in the way of the handle when the umbrella is in use. A water leakage prevention material 7 is attached in advance to the parallel slits of the storage case 4 and to the parts that contact the wheel 2 and wheel 3 to prevent water droplets adhering to the fabric 8 from leaking. The water leakage prevention material 7 is, for example, a waterproof packing. Rubber molding or waterproof gap tape may also be used.

Figure 3 shows a side view of the umbrella after use, before closing the storage case. When closing the umbrella, the ribs 1 are folded by sliding the lower wheel 3 down along the center rod 5, and the umbrella fabric 8 is rolled up to close the storage case 4, making for a simple operation.

When the storage case 4 is openable and closable, it can be of any shape, including circular, elliptical, rectangular, and polygonal. The upper wheel 2 and lower wheel 3 are made to have polygonal or circular shapes to match the shape of the storage case 4. When the storage case 4 is closed, the upper wheel 2 serves as the upper surface, and the lower wheel 3 serves as the lower surface. The storage case opening prevention part 9 prevents the storage case 4 from opening. For example, a hook-and-loop fastener or a rubber tape is used as the storage case opening prevention part 9. The storage case 4 can be made of various materials such as rubber, plastic, and wood. The shape of the storage case 4 can be not only openable and closable, but also can be a shape in which a vertically expandable bellows is joined to the lower wheel 3 and used by moving it up and down.
