なお、フェース4には、ユニバーサルレジスタ、ユニバーサルグリル、ラインディフューザー等の複数の異なる種類があり、どのような種類のフェースを使用してもよい。
図3(b)に示すように、制気口用枠1のネック部21への挿入後、制気口用枠固定ビス6による固定までの間、制気口用枠1の外側面に装着されたずれ防止部材5が消音チャンバ2のネック部21の内面に圧着されて、制気口用枠1がネック部21から落下することを防いでいる。

ずれ防止部材5の高さ(基部51の厚さに、突出部52の高さを加えたもの)は、突出部52の弾性、制気口用枠1とネック部21の隙間の寸法及びその誤差等を考慮して、適宜設計すればよい。また、突出部52の長さは、制気口用枠1とネック部21の間に必要十分な摩擦が得られるように、ネック部21とずれ防止部材5と間の摩擦係数や制気口用枠1の重量などを考慮して設計すればよい。

(1)天井板3の開口部31の上部に設置された消音チャンバ2のネック部21の下方で、制気口用枠1をネック部21に位置合わせする。(図3(a)、図4(a)参照)
(2)そのまま、制気口用枠1をネック部21内に挿入すると、ずれ防止部材5の突出部52の先端側の傾斜部521がネック部21の内面に当接する。
さらに、制気口用枠1をネック部21内に挿入していくと、制気口用枠1の外面とネック部21の内面の間の隙間で、突出部52が押しつぶされながら、ネック部21の内部に進入していく。略半円筒状の突出部52が押しつぶされることにより、突出部52とネック部21の内面間には、過大な摩擦抵抗は生じないから、ネック部21がせり上がることはない。
そして、制気口用枠1の下段筒状部13のフランジ部133がネック部21の下端に当接した時点で、挿入を停止する。(図3(b)、図4(b)参照)この時点で、制気口用枠1を挿入・支持していた手を放しても、突出部52とネック部21の内面との間には、制気口用枠1をネック部21に対して仮固定するための十分な静止摩擦力が働いているため、制気口用枠1が落下したり、傾いたりすることはない。
(3)制気口用枠1がネック部21内で仮固定された状態で、制気口用枠固定ビス6により、制気口用枠1とネック部21とを固定する。(図3(c)参照)このとき、上述のとおり、制気口用枠1から手を放しても、制気口用枠1が仮固定されているので、ビス止め作業は両手で行うことができる。
(4)ネック部21に固定された制気口用枠1の下方で、フェース4を制気口用枠1に位置合わせする。(図3(d)参照)
(5)フェース4をフェース固定ビス7で制気口用枠1に固定する。(図3(e)参照)

Then, the insertion is stopped when the flange portion 133 of the lower cylindrical portion 13 of the air vent frame 1 abuts against the lower end of the neck portion 21. (See Figs. 3(b) and 4(b)) At this point, even if the hand that was inserting and supporting the air vent frame 1 is released, there is a sufficient static friction force acting between the protrusion 52 and the inner surface of the neck portion 21 to temporarily fix the air vent frame 1 to the neck portion 21, so the air vent frame 1 will not fall or tilt.
(3) With the air vent frame 1 temporarily fixed within the neck portion 21, the air vent frame 1 and the neck portion 21 are fixed together with the air vent frame fixing screws 6. (See FIG. 3(c)) At this time, as described above, even if the hands are released from the air vent frame 1, the air vent frame 1 is temporarily fixed, so the screw fastening work can be done with both hands.
(4) The face 4 is aligned with the air duct frame 1 below the air duct frame 1 fixed to the neck portion 21 (see FIG. 3(d)).
(5) Fix the face 4 to the air diffuser frame 1 with the face fixing screws 7 (see FIG. 3(e)).
