Description

An embodiment of the present invention relates to a lighting fixture.

Conventionally, in lighting fixtures that are attached to an installation surface such as a ceiling, a translucent cover that covers a light source such as a lamp is fixed laterally to the fixture body installed on the installation surface with a decorative screw. When using a mounting part such as a mounting bracket fixed to the fixture body as the component on the fixture body side that receives the decorative screw, the mounting part is fastened to the fixture body at one point from the perspective of cost. When screwing in the decorative screw, it is necessary that the insertion hole on the translucent cover side and the screw receiving hole on the mounting part side are aligned, so it is desirable to make it difficult for the mounting part to move relative to the fixture body starting from the fastening point.

An embodiment will be described below with reference to the drawings.

The lighting fixture 10 shown in Figures 4 and 5 includes a fixture body 11, a socket 12 attached to the fixture body 11, a translucent cover 14 that covers the entire fixture body 11 including the socket 12 and a light source 13 connected to the socket 12, and an attachment portion 15 for attaching the translucent cover that is provided on the fixture body 11. In this embodiment, the lighting fixture 10 is, for example, a one-lamp fixture that uses one straight tube lamp such as an LED straight tube lamp, also known as a bracket lamp, as the light source 13.

The device body 11, also called the chassis, is made of, for example, metal and is formed to be long. The device body 11 integrally has a flat main body portion 20 and side wall portions 21 protruding from both sides of the main body portion 20. In other words, the cross section of the device body 11 in the width direction (short direction) perpendicular to the longitudinal direction is formed to be approximately inverted U-shaped.

As shown in FIG. 1, when the main body 20 is installed on an installation surface 22 such as a ceiling surface or a wall surface, the main body 20 is located close to the installation surface 22 and parallel or approximately parallel to the installation surface 22. In this embodiment, the main body 20 is rectangular and formed to be longer and wider than the light source 13.

As shown in Figs. 4 and 5, the main body 20 has a power supply hole 24 formed in the center for drawing an external power supply into the lighting fixture 10. The main body 20 also has a plurality of holes formed for mounting the fixture body 11 on the mounting surface 22 (Fig. 1). For example, the main body 20 has a screw hole 26 formed therein, which is a hole for fixing the fixture body 11 to the mounting surface 22 (Fig. 1) with a wood screw. The screw hole 26 is formed in the center of the fixture body 11 in the width direction, near both ends of the fixture body 11. In this embodiment, the screw hole 26 is formed in a pot-shaped shape that integrally has a large diameter portion through which the head of the wood screw is inserted and an elongated hole portion through which the head of the screw is hooked.

As shown in Figs. 3 and 4, the main body 20 has mounting holes 28 and 29 formed on either side of each screw hole 26 in the longitudinal direction. The mounting holes 28 and 29 are formed in the center of the width of the fixture body 11 and are aligned along the longitudinal direction of the fixture body 11. In the illustrated example, the mounting holes 28, the screw holes 26, and the mounting holes 29 are aligned in this order from the center to the end of the fixture body 11 in the longitudinal direction. In this embodiment, the mounting holes 28 and 29 are formed as elongated holes and are elongated in the longitudinal direction of the fixture body 11. The mounting holes 28 and 29 are selectively used when the fixture body 11 (lighting fixture 10) is suspended from the installation surface 22 (Fig. 1) using a suspension bolt as a support member.

Furthermore, the main body 20 is formed with tool fixing portions 30 on either side of each screw hole 26 in the width direction. In this embodiment, the tool fixing portions 30 are circular oval-shaped protrusions that protrude from the rear side of the main body 20, i.e., the installation surface 22 (FIG. 1) side, and are portions that are close to or in contact with the installation surface 22 when the tool body 11 is installed on the installation surface 22. The tool fixing portions 30 are located between the screw holes 26 and the mounting holes 28 in the longitudinal direction of the tool body 11.

The side walls 21 protrude from both long sides of the main body 20 in the thickness direction of the main body 20. As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, socket mounting parts 32 for mounting the socket 12 are attached across both side walls 21. In this embodiment, the socket mounting parts 32 are socket mounting fittings. The socket mounting parts 32 are located at both ends of the longitudinal direction of the instrument body 11. The socket mounting parts 32 have a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the instrument body 11 that is formed into a substantially U-shape, and both sides are attached to the side walls 21. The socket mounting parts 32 have an opening 33 formed therein through which the socket 12 is inserted.

The sockets 12 are attached to the socket attachment parts 32 and are located at both ends of the fixture body 11. As shown in FIG. 5, the sockets 12 have base connection parts 35 formed on opposing surfaces to which the bases at each end of the light source 13 are mechanically and electrically connected. The base connection parts 35 are electrically connected to a terminal block 36. In this embodiment, the terminal block 36 is attached to one side of the main body 20 in the fixture body 11 and is located closer to one end than the longitudinal center of the fixture body 11.

The light source 13 is formed long and has multiple light emitting elements such as LEDs arranged inside. The light source 13 is replaceable by attaching and detaching the caps at both ends to the socket 12. In this embodiment, the light source 13 is configured with a built-in power supply unit. However, the light source 13 is not limited to this and can have any configuration, such as a light source unit.

The translucent cover 14 is also called a bracket cover. The translucent cover 14 is made of a resin material having a translucent milky white color, for example. As shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 4, the translucent cover 14 has a cover opening 40 formed on the back side that is larger than the outer shape of the fixture body 11, and the periphery of the cover opening 40 is arranged around the fixture body 11, so that the entire fixture body 11 can be covered so that the fixture body 11 cannot be seen from the outside. Insertion holes 43 are formed on both end surface portions 41 of the translucent cover 14, through which mounting screws 42 such as decorative screws are inserted to detachably mount the translucent cover 14 that covers the fixture body 11 to the mounting portion 15.

The mounting part 15 shown in Figs. 1 to 3 will be described using a metal mounting bracket as an example. For example, the mounting part 15 is made of stainless steel spring steel plate. The mounting part 15 integrally has a fixing part 45, which is a flat back part, a screw receiving part 46 that rises from the fixing part 45, and a cover mounting part 47, which is a contact surface part connected to the tip of the screw receiving part 46. The mounting part 15 is fixed to both ends of the main body part 20 of the instrument body 11 in the longitudinal direction at the position of the fixing part 45 by a fixing member 48, and one end of the fixing part 45, the screw receiving part 46, and the cover mounting part 47 are arranged so as to protrude outward from both ends of the instrument body 11. In this embodiment, the fixing member 48 is a fastening member having a fixing screw 48a and a nut 48b.

The fixing portion 45 is formed in a rectangular shape and is a portion that is overlapped with the rear side of the instrument body 11, that is, the surface on the installation surface 22 (FIG. 1) side, which is the other side of the main body 20, and is fixed by the fixing member 48. The fixing portion 45 has one fixing hole 50 through which the fixing screw 48a is inserted. In this embodiment, the fixing hole 50 is a round hole through which the shaft portion of the fixing screw 48a can be inserted. The fixing hole 50 is aligned with the insertion hole 51 formed in the main body 20 of the instrument body 11, and the nut 48b is screwed on one side of the main body 20 of the instrument body 11 to the shaft portion of the fixing screw 48a inserted through the fixing hole 50 and the insertion hole 51, thereby fixing the mounting portion 15 to the instrument body 11. In other words, the mounting portion 15 is fastened to the instrument body 11 at one point by the fixing member 48. In this embodiment, the insertion hole 51 is formed in an integral manner as a pot hole having a large diameter portion through which the head of the fixing screw 48a is inserted and an elongated hole portion through which the nut 48b is hooked.

The fixing part 45 is formed with a receiving part 54. The receiving part 54 is located on one end side of the fixing part 45 with respect to the fixing hole 50, that is, on the screw receiving part 46 side, which is the outside. Therefore, the receiving part 54 is between the fixing member 48 (fixing hole 50) and the mounting screw 42 (cover mounting part 47). The receiving part 54 is formed as a curved part that curves in the plate thickness direction of the fixing part 45. The receiving part 54 has an arc-shaped cross section and is curved in a direction away from the main part 20 of the instrument body 11. In other words, the installation surface 22 side, which is the back side of the receiving part 54, is the part of the fixing part 45 that is located closest to the installation surface 22 with respect to the instrument body 11. In this embodiment, the receiving part 54 is formed in a straight line that crosses the fixing part 45 in the width direction. In addition, the receiving part 54 is located between both ends of the fixing part 45. In other words, the fixing part 45 extends from the receiving part 54 to both ends.

The receiving portion 54 is fitted with a protrusion 55 formed on the main body 20 of the instrument body 11. That is, the protrusion 55 is between the fixing member 48 (fixing hole 50) and the mounting screw 42 (cover mounting portion 47). The protrusion 55 is a dowel-shaped protrusion formed on the instrument body 11 protruding toward the rear surface, i.e., the installation surface 22 side. For example, the height of the protrusion 55 from the rear surface of the main body 20 of the instrument body 11 is equal to that of the instrument fixing portion 30. The protrusion 55 is shaped so as to be able to fit into the receiving portion 54. For example, the protrusion 55 has an arc-shaped cross section. In this embodiment, the protrusion 55 is formed in a straight line extending in the width direction of the instrument body 11. That is, the protrusion 55 shown in the figure is a long dowel shape. Not limited to this, the protrusion 55 may be circular or the like, or a plurality of circular protrusions 55 may be arranged in the width direction of the instrument body 11.

Furthermore, the fixing part 45 has a positioning part 57, which is a dowel-shaped protrusion that serves as a stopper, formed on one side surface facing the instrument body 11. For example, the positioning part 57 is a claw portion cut and raised on the fixing part 45. In the illustrated example, the positioning part 57 is formed on both sides of the fixing hole part 50. That is, the positioning part 57 is located on both sides of the fixing member 48. The positioning part 57 is, for example, a cut dowel formed in a semicircular shape, and the straight part is on the other end side of the fixing part 45, that is, on the inside. The fixing part 45 is positioned relative to the instrument body 11 by this positioning part 57 and the positioning receiving part 58 formed on the main part 20 of the instrument body 11. In this embodiment, the positioning receiving part 58 is a square hole. Not limited to this, the positioning receiving part 58 may be a recess or the like. Also, the positioning part 57 may be a recess or a hole, and the positioning receiving part 58 may be a protrusion.

The screw receiving portion 46 is bent in an L-shape from the fixed portion 45 and is positioned extending toward the socket 12 side beyond the main body portion 20 of the instrument body 11 when the mounting portion 15 is fixed to the instrument body 11. A screw hole 60 into which the mounting screw 42 is screwed is formed in the screw receiving portion 46. The tip of the screw receiving portion 46 is folded back in an approximately V-shape toward the outside of the mounting portion 15 and connected to the cover mounting portion 47.

The cover mounting portion 47 is disposed at a position facing the end surface portion 41 of the translucent cover 14 and contacts the inner surface of the end surface portion 41. The cover mounting portion 47 is formed with an insertion hole 62 through which the shank of the mounting screw 42 is inserted. The insertion hole 62 is located opposite to the screw hole 60 of the screw receiving portion 46 at a distance, and is aligned with the insertion hole 43 of the translucent cover 14, and is a hole portion that guides the shank of the mounting screw 42 inserted into the insertion hole 43 to the screw hole 60. In this embodiment, the insertion holes 62, 43 are clearance holes with a larger diameter than the shank of the mounting screw 42 and the screw hole 60.

When the lighting fixture 10 is installed on the installation surface 22, the mounting portion 15 is attached to the fixture body 11 by the fixing member 48. That is, the fixing portion 45 of the mounting portion 15 is overlapped with the protruding portion 55 received by the receiving portion 54 and the positioning portion 57 fitted into the positioning receiving portion 58 in a state where it is positioned relative to the other side surface of the main body portion 20 of the fixture body 11. In this state, the fixing screw 48a of the fixing member 48 is inserted through the fixing hole portion 50 and the insertion hole portion 51, and the nut 48b is fastened to the fixing screw 48a from one side surface side of the main body portion 20 of the fixture body 11, thereby fixing the mounting portion 15 to the fixture body 11.

The socket 12 is attached to the socket mounting portion 32 by inserting the socket 12 through the opening 33 of the socket mounting portion 32 and sliding it outward in the longitudinal direction of the device body 11, and the socket 12 and the terminal block 36 are electrically connected by wiring.

Next, the fixture body 11 with the mounting portion 15 and socket 12 attached is installed on the installation surface 22. For example, the fixture body 11 is fixed to the installation surface 22 by attaching wood screws to the screw holes 26. Alternatively, the fixture body 11 is installed on the installation surface (ceiling surface) 22 using a hanging bolt and selectively using either the mounting hole 28 or the mounting hole 29. In this state, the receiving portion 54 of the mounting portion 15 is pressed against the installation surface 22, so that the receiving portion 54 of the mounting portion 15 is sandwiched between the protruding portion 55 of the main body 20 of the fixture body 15 and the installation surface 22, making it difficult for the mounting portion 15 to move. In particular, when the instrument body 11 is installed on the installation surface 22 using the mounting hole 28 located between the instrument fixing part 30 and the protrusion 55 or the receiving part 54 in the longitudinal direction of the instrument body 11, the receiving part 54 and the instrument fixing parts 30, 30 are pressed against the installation surface 22, that is, the instrument body 11 is supported at three points on the installation surface 22, and the instrument body 11 is firmly fixed to the installation surface 22.

Furthermore, the power supply line and earth wire, etc. are pulled into the interior of the fixture body 11 from the installation surface 22 side through the power supply hole 24 of the fixture body 11 and electrically connected to the terminal block 36.

Then, the caps at both ends of the light source 13 are inserted into the cap connection parts 35 of the socket 12, and the light source 13 is rotated in the circumferential direction of the straight tube to electrically and mechanically hold the light source 13 between the sockets 12, 12.

Then, the translucent cover 14 is placed so that the cover opening 40 of the translucent cover 14 faces the fixture body 11 and covers the entire fixture body 11. In this state, the inner surface of the end surface portion 41 of the translucent cover 14 overlaps with the cover mounting portion 47 of the mounting portion 15 located at the end of the fixture body 11. The through hole 43 formed in the end surface portion 41 of the translucent cover 14 is aligned with the through hole 62 formed in the cover mounting portion 47 of the mounting portion 15, and the mounting screw 42 is inserted from the outside of the end surface portion 41 through the through holes 43 and 62 and screwed into the screw hole 60 formed in the screw receiving portion 46 of the mounting portion 15, thereby fixing the translucent cover 14 to the fixture body 11.

In the mounting portion 15, the fixing member 48 is likely to loosen when fixed to the device body 11 due to component crossover or assembly variation. In this regard, according to the present embodiment, the mounting portion 15 contacts the installation surface 22 at the receiving portion 54 and is sandwiched between the protruding portion 55 and the installation surface 22, so that even if the fixing (fastening) of the fixing member 48 loosens, the mounting portion 15 is less likely to move. Therefore, the position of the insertion hole 43 on the translucent cover 14 side through which the mounting screw 42 is inserted and the insertion hole 62 on the mounting portion 15 side are less likely to shift, reducing the need to search for the insertion hole 62 of the mounting portion 15 and making it easier to attach the translucent cover 14.

In addition, since the protrusion 55 is located between the fixing member 48 and the mounting screw 42, the mounting part 15 is less likely to move when the mounting screw 42 is inserted from the insertion hole 43 on the translucent cover 14 side to the insertion hole 62 on the mounting part 15 side, making it easier to install the translucent cover 14.

In particular, the mounting portion 15 can more reliably suppress rotation relative to the device body 11 by fastening at one point with the fixing member 48, engaging the positioning portion 57 with the positioning receiving portion 58, suppressing rotation by engaging the protrusion 55 with the receiving portion 54, and sandwiching the protrusion 55 between the installation surface 22.
