Description
The present invention relates to a game system, a program, and the like.
Conventionally, a battle royale style game or a role playing game style game in which multiple players or teams participate in one game world and the player or team that can continue the game until the end is recognized as the winner. (MMORPG: Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) and the like are known.
In addition, in a game system that executes such a multiplayer game, if there is a large difference in level or ability between players, players with lower level or ability may lose immediately after the game starts, making it difficult to enjoy the game. Players with high levels and abilities often find it difficult to play against other players, and often find it difficult to enjoy the game.
Therefore, recently, game systems have become known in which matching is performed based on the rank of the player and the player character operated by the player, and the game is played between players with little difference in ability or level (for example, Patent Document 1).
However, in the game system described in
In addition, in the game system described in
The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and its purpose is to allow a wide range of players to participate, and as a result, to reduce the occurrence of waiting time before the game starts and the waiting time for a long period of time. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a game system, etc., which can suppress the occurrence of problems and revitalize the entire game.
(1) In order to solve the above problems, the present invention:
A game system that executes a game in which a plurality of players participate using player characters, the game system comprising:
first determining means for executing a ranking determination process for determining the relative ranking of each player among a plurality of players participating in the game based on player-related information regarding each player stored in the storage means; ,
Setting means for setting, for each player participating in the game, achievement conditions to be achieved during the game by a player character operated by the corresponding player, based on the result of the ranking determination process;
a second determining means for executing a condition achievement determination process for determining whether or not the set achievement condition has been achieved for each player at a given timing;
Presentation means for presenting the result of the condition achievement determination process to the corresponding player;
It has a configuration.
With this configuration, the present invention can set clear conditions for clearing the game and obtainable items during the game, depending on the abilities and levels of individual players participating in the game (hereinafter also referred to as "participating players"). Since the conditions to be achieved during the game, such as the conditions for acquiring items, can be changed, the game can be played by multiple participating players with large differences in level (player level relative to the game, game level, or player level) or ability. Even if the game is played, each player can enjoy the game individually.
That is, the present invention provides, for example, a game in which players with low levels and abilities (hereinafter referred to as "low-level players") are mixed with players with high levels and abilities (hereinafter referred to as "high-level players"). Even if it is executed, not only high-level players but also low-level players can obtain benefits as long as they meet the achievement conditions.
Therefore, according to the present invention, it is possible to realize a game played by a plurality of players without worrying about differences in level or ability, and thus a wide range of players can participate.
In particular, when a large number of players such as 100 or more players are gathered together to play a game, the present invention can shorten the period from gathering the participating players to starting the game. The game can be played without making the player who wants to play the game wait for a long time.
That is, the present invention can quickly provide a game by suppressing the waiting period of the players in a game in which a plurality of players participate.
As a result, the present invention can eliminate the player's dissatisfaction caused by waiting time, and can revitalize the entire game.
Note that the "game in which multiple players participate" may be any game that is executed by multiple players using player characters, such as an RPG, a racing game, an action game, a competitive game, a communication game, or a shooting game. However, it is preferable to apply the present invention to a competitive game in which a large number of players compete against each other, such as a battle royale format.
In particular, when playing such a game, players who wish to participate may be allowed to participate with a limited or unlimited number of players, or depending on the game level of the players and the region (network) where the players are located. A matching process may be executed to match participating players based on the network distance at the time of playing the game.

(A5) The total time you have participated in the game, the number of times you have participated, or the history of your matches with other players, or
(A6) A level determined by the progress of a group of players, etc.
This includes ranking each player based on the ranking, calculating a deviation value, or classifying each player into the range (rank) to which they belong.
Further, as the "achievement condition", for example, if the ranking is high, a strict condition that makes it difficult to satisfy the achievement condition is set, or if the ranking is low, an easy condition that is easy to satisfy the achievement condition is set.
In particular, "achievement conditions" include cases where no conditions are set; for example, in this case, from the perspective of helping the weak, the achievement conditions are set only for players with low levels and abilities; No achievement conditions are set for players with high levels or abilities.
In addition to the above, the "given timing" for executing the condition achievement determination process may be during the game or after the game ends.
In addition, in "presenting the results of the condition achievement determination process to the applicable player", the "applicable player" includes not only the player for whom the achievement condition has been set, but also each player of the team to which the player belongs. It's okay.
The "presenting to the player" may include displaying the information overlappingly on the game screen during the game, or presenting the information via sound.

Here, the object space includes both a so-called virtual two-dimensional space and a virtual three-dimensional space. A two-dimensional space is, for example, a space in which objects are arranged at two-dimensional coordinates (X, Y), and a three-dimensional space is, for example, a space in which objects are arranged at three-dimensional coordinates (X, Y, Z). be.
When the object space is a two-dimensional space, objects are arranged based on priorities set for each of the plurality of objects. For example, it is possible to arrange objects (sprites) in order starting from the object (sprite) that you want to make appear to be on the back side, and then place the objects that you want to make appear to be on the front side one on top of the other.
In addition, by placing objects with large drawing sizes at the bottom of the image and objects with small drawing sizes above the image, it is possible to make it appear as if the object space corresponding to the top of the screen is at the back of the screen. The object space corresponding to the lower part of can be made to appear to be on the front side.
Note that when the object space is a three-dimensional space, the object is placed in the world coordinate system.

The
In particular, the image generated by the
Here, when generating a two-dimensional image, the
In addition, when generating a three-dimensional image, the
In addition, in vertex processing, geometry processing such as vertex movement processing, coordinate transformation (world coordinate transformation, camera coordinate transformation), clipping processing, perspective transformation, or light source processing is performed, and based on the processing results, objects are Change (update, adjust) the vertex data given for the constituent vertices. Then, rasterization (scan conversion) is performed based on the vertex data after vertex processing, and the faces of polygons (primitives) and pixels are associated. Following rasterization, pixel processing (fragment processing) is performed to draw pixels that make up the image (fragments that make up the display screen).
Pixel processing involves reading out textures (texture mapping), setting/changing color data, translucent compositing, anti-aliasing, and other various processes to determine the final drawing color of the pixels that make up the image. The drawing color of the object is output (drawn) to the image buffer 272 (frame buffer, buffer that can store image information in units of pixels, VRAM, rendering target). That is, in pixel processing, per-pixel processing is performed in which image information (color, normal, brightness, α value, etc.) is set or changed on a pixel-by-pixel basis.
This generates an image visible from a virtual camera (given viewpoint) set within the object space. Note that when there are multiple virtual cameras (viewpoints), images can be generated so that the images seen from each virtual camera can be displayed on one screen as divided images.

In the geometry processing, processing such as coordinate transformation, clipping processing, perspective projection transformation, or light source calculation is performed on the object. Then, the object data (position coordinates of the vertices of the object, texture coordinates, color data (luminance data), normal vector, or α value, etc.) after the geometry processing (after perspective projection transformation) is stored in the
In texture mapping, a process is performed in which a texture (texel value) stored in the texture storage section of the
Note that in this embodiment, when drawing an object, a process of mapping a given texture may be performed. In this case, the color distribution (texel pattern) of the mapped texture can be dynamically changed.
In this case, textures with different color distributions (pixel patterns) may be dynamically generated, or textures with different color distributions may be prepared in advance and the textures to be used may be dynamically switched. It's okay. Furthermore, the color distribution of the texture may be changed for each object.
In the hidden surface removal process, hidden surface removal processing is performed using a Z buffer method (depth comparison method, Z test) using a Z buffer (depth buffer) in which the Z value (depth information) of a drawn pixel is stored. That is, when drawing a drawing pixel corresponding to a primitive of an object, the Z value stored in the Z buffer is referenced, and the Z value of the referenced Z buffer and the Z value of the drawing pixel of the primitive are If the Z value of the drawing pixel is the one that is on the near side as seen from the virtual camera (for example, a small Z value), the drawing process for that drawing pixel is performed and the Z value of the Z buffer is updated. Update to the correct Z value.

In addition, each player-related information defines a game level to be acquired as the game is executed, and when the
In particular, in this case, the matching
Furthermore, the matching

In the present embodiment, the matching
[4.4] Ranking Judgment Process Next, the ranking judging process in this embodiment will be described using FIG. 6. Note that FIG. 6 is a diagram for explaining the ranking determination process in this embodiment.
At the start of the game or during the game, the player ranking
Specifically, the player rank
(A1) The level to which the player belongs (the player's game level), such as the level set in the game and acquired by the player based on the progress of the game (levels acquired through the games played so far);
(A2) Whether or not you have any items (weapons) (including combinations of multiple items), including items acquired from games played in the past, or their level (level of the highest level item or average of multiple items) level),
(A3) The level of the player character (strength based on ability) acquired through games played in the past (level specified for each player character, separate from the player's game level);
(A4) Values of parameters such as points and experience points obtained from games played in the past;
(A5) The total time you participated in the game (total game time), the number of times you participated, or the history of your matches with other players, or
(A6) A level determined by the progress of a group of players, etc.
Based on this, ranking of each player, calculation of deviation value, or classification into the range (rank) to which each player belongs is executed.
For example, as shown in FIG. The rank among the participating players is determined based on the amount of money spent on the game, the number of participations, etc., and the rank of each participating player is determined.
For example, the player ranking
Note that FIG. 4 shows a case where
In addition, instead of the above ranks, the scores of players A, B, C, D, and E are "1100", "220", "587", "396", and "101", respectively. If so, as shown in FIG. 6, the player rank
On the other hand, the player rank
For example, the player rank
For example, the player ranking
Then, at the start of the game, the player rank
Note that the player ranking
For example, at the start of the game or during the game, the player rank
For example, the player ranking
In this case, it is possible to determine the ranking of each player based on each player's appropriate ability, and to set appropriate achievement conditions for each player, so it is possible to determine the ranking of each player based on the appropriate ability of each player. Now you can run the game.
[4.5] Achievement Condition Setting Process Next, the achievement condition setting process in this embodiment will be described using FIG. Note that FIG. 7 is a diagram for explaining the achievement condition setting process in this embodiment.
The achievement
In particular, before the start of the game or during the game, the achievement
Then, the achievement
For example, as shown in FIG. 7, in the case where the first place is player A, the second place is player C, the third place is player D, the fourth place is player B, and the fifth place is player E. In this case, the achievement
Furthermore, the achievement
For example, in this case, the achievement
That is, in such a case, the achievement
For example, as shown in FIG. 4, if player A is S rank, players C and D are B rank, player B is C rank, and player E is A rank, the achievement
On the other hand, the achievement
For example, the achievement
Note that during the achievement condition setting process, the achievement
Furthermore, in the present embodiment, the game
In this case, the game
[4.6] Condition achievement determination processing and determination result presentation processing Next, the condition achievement determination processing in this embodiment will be described.
The achievement
Specifically, the achievement
Then, the achievement
On the other hand, the
In particular, the

[4.7] Benefit Grant Control Process Next, the benefit grant control process in this embodiment will be described using FIGS. 8 to 10. Note that FIGS. 8 to 10 are diagrams for explaining the privilege provision control process in this embodiment.
Based on the result of the condition achievement determination process, the
In particular, the
On the other hand, in order to keep the player interested in the game until the end, the
For example, the achievement condition may be a condition related to quantity, such as obtaining a predetermined number of specific items, and as shown in FIGS. 8(A) and (B), changes in the quantity may be Assume a case where "medal" items are provided as benefits of different quality in association with each other.
In this case, when the achievement condition is achieved, as shown in FIG. If the number of specific items is more than the specified number + 1 and within the specified
On the other hand, when the achievement condition is achieved, as shown in FIG. 8(B), the
In addition, in order to improve the interest of the game by requesting strategy for achieving the achievement conditions, the
For example, as shown in FIGS. 9(A) and 9(B), the achievement condition may be set as "medals" as benefits of different quality in correspondence with changes in the period for achieving the achievement condition, depending on the rank of the participating players. ” is assumed to be given.
In this case, when the achievement condition is achieved, the
On the other hand, when the achievement condition is achieved, as shown in FIG. If the achievement condition is achieved within 16 minutes or more and within 30 minutes from the start of the game, a "silver medal" will be awarded. If the achievement condition is achieved within 31 minutes or more from the start of the game, the award will be a "gold medal". , executes a benefit grant control process that grants a "bronze medal" as a benefit. However, similarly, it is assumed that the measurement is performed in units of minutes.
Further, in order to keep the participating players interested until the end of the game, the
For example, as shown in FIGS. 10(A) and (B), the achievement condition is such that, depending on the rank of the participating players, "medal" items are awarded as benefits of different quality in association with the score after the end of the game. Assume that
In this case, when the achievement condition is achieved, as shown in FIG. A privilege granting control process is executed to award a "bronze medal" as a privilege, a "silver medal" if the score is 1001 points or more and 2000 points or less, and a "gold medal" if the score is 2001 points or more. .
On the other hand, when the achievement condition is achieved, as shown in FIG. 10(B), the
Note that in this embodiment, if it is determined by the condition achievement determination process that the achievement condition is not met (it is determined that the achievement condition has not been achieved), the
For example, the
In addition, in the above embodiment, the explanation was given using the example of giving benefits to the player, but benefits are given to the player character such as increasing the level or rank of the player character, upgrading the version of the player character, etc. may be done.
[4.8] Modification Next, a modification of this embodiment will be described.

In other words, if Player A and Player B belong to the same team and both Player A and Player B have achieved the achievement condition, the achievement

In particular, the
Additionally, the
Note that the special benefits may be the same benefits as the individually granted benefits, or may be different benefits.
(Modification 4: Judgment result presentation control process to other participating players of the team)
The
In addition, the
