A flush toilet that is flushed with flush water to expel waste,
a toilet body including a bowl portion for receiving waste and a drainage passage for draining the waste in the bowl portion, the toilet body forming a water seal in the bowl portion and the drainage passage;
a flush water supply device connected between a water supply source and the toilet body, for supplying flush water supplied from the water supply source to the toilet body;
The flush water supply device comprises a water supply passage through which flush water supplied from the water supply source passes, a water supply unit including an electromagnetic valve that opens and closes the water supply passage and stops the supply of flush water in the water supply passage, and a controller that controls the operation of the electromagnetic valve of the water supply unit,
The water supply passage further includes a branching portion that branches from the water supply passage into a main water supply passage and a make-up water passage,
The instantaneous flow rate of the flush water in the main water supply passage is set higher than the instantaneous flow rate of the flush water in the make-up water passage,
A flush toilet characterized in that a power generation device that generates electricity using the flow of flush water is provided in the make-up water channel. The supply water channel has a horizontal portion extending horizontally or a descending portion descending from the upstream side to the downstream side,
