Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to epoxy compounds. The present invention also relates to a curable composition containing the epoxy compound and a cured product thereof.
Conventionally, epoxy resin compositions have excellent electrical performance and adhesive strength, so they have been widely used as interlayer insulation materials such as printed circuit boards of electrical and electronic equipment, sealing materials, matrix materials for various structural members, adhesives, etc. has been done.
In particular, current electronic devices are required to be able to transmit and receive high-speed and large-capacity information. However, as devices become smaller and wiring becomes finer, conventional interlayer insulating materials have large inter-wiring capacitance, which increases the delay in electrical signal transmission, making it difficult to send and receive high-speed, large-capacity information. It was a hindrance. Since this delay time is proportional to the inter-wiring capacitance, if the inter-wiring capacitance is reduced by lowering the dielectricity of the interlayer insulating material, the transmission of electrical signals can be made faster. Therefore, there is a demand for lower dielectric properties of interlayer insulating materials.
Two important dielectric properties are dielectric loss tangent and dielectric constant. An example of a method for lowering the dielectric constant of an epoxy resin composition is to use an epoxy compound into which a multi-branched structure has been introduced. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses an epoxy compound having a triisobutylene skeleton.
However, since the epoxy compound described in Patent Document 1 is monofunctional, its reactivity is low, and there is a possibility that the curable composition may not be sufficiently cured. Therefore, there is a need to further improve the reactivity of curable compositions containing epoxy compounds.
Therefore, in the process of searching for an epoxy compound that exhibits excellent low dielectric properties when incorporated into a curable composition and cured, the present inventors discovered that the epoxy compound has a diglycidylamine type structure and has a specific It has been found that an epoxy compound having a functional group with a carbon number of , can produce a cured product with an excellent balance between low dielectricity and reactivity. The present invention is based on this knowledge.
