なお、この開動作の際に、駆動装置4を構成する駆動ゼンマイ4-2のゼンマイを「巻き込む動作」が行われ、ゼンマイに蓄力される。この作用が遮蔽材を開く度に行われ、ゼンマイに蓄力され、自閉の推進力となっている。
一方、遮蔽材6を閉める際には、上記で駆動ゼンマイに蓄力された力を、ラチェット5-2aを解除することで、力が開放されて半自動で遮蔽材6が閉まる。
