Description

The present invention relates to an air cleaner with sound absorbing material.

Conventionally, an air cleaner of this type is known, for example, as disclosed in Patent Document 1. Such an air cleaner is provided in an intake system of an internal combustion engine to filter intake air. The air cleaner includes a box-like body with a bottom, a box-like cover with a lid, and a filtering element arranged between the body and the cover. A sound absorbing material for reducing intake noise is attached to the inner surface of the body of the air cleaner by a deterrent rod.

Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 3-42061

In the air cleaner as described above, the sound absorbing material is attached to the inner surface of the body by fixing the restraining rod to the body with a rivet while pressing the sound absorbing material against the inner surface of the body. In this case, the restraining rod constrains the sound absorbing material by making the claw piece bite into the sound absorbing material and receiving the reaction force from the sound absorbing material. However, when the sound absorbing material weakens, the reaction force that the restraining rod receives from the sound absorbing material decreases. For this reason, there is a problem that the initial force of restraining the restraining rod against the sound absorbing material cannot be maintained.

Means for solving the above problems and their effects will be described below.
An air cleaner for solving the above-mentioned problems is an air cleaner in which a sound absorbing material is mounted in a housing by means of a mounting mechanism, the mounting mechanism protruding from the inner surface of the housing and passing through the sound absorbing material, a projecting portion having an engaging portion and a pressure receiving portion; a mounting member having a second engaging portion that sandwiches the sound absorbing material between the inner surface of the housing and engages with the first engaging portion; and the pressure receiving portion. and an urging portion that urges the mounting member in a direction to maintain the engagement state between the first engaging portion and the second engaging portion while being in contact with the second engaging portion.

Normally, when the mounting member maintains the engaged state between the first engaging portion and the second engaging portion by receiving a reaction force from the sound absorbing material, when the sound absorbing material weakens, the mounting member is separated from the sound absorbing material. The reaction force received is reduced. As a result, the engagement state between the first engaging portion and the second engaging portion cannot be maintained, and the binding force of the mounting member to the sound absorbing material is reduced. In this respect, according to this configuration, even if the sound absorbing material is worn out, the engagement state between the first engaging portion and the second engaging portion can be maintained by the biasing force of the biasing portion. Therefore, the initial binding force of the mounting member to the sound absorbing material can be maintained regardless of the settling of the sound absorbing material.

Each guide piece 43 is configured to be insertable into the notch groove 29 of the projecting portion 25 .

By inserting the three guide pieces 43 of the mounting member 27 into the three notch grooves 29 of the projecting portion 25 , the mounting member 27 is positioned in the circumferential direction with respect to the projecting portion 25 . At this time, the circumferential positions of the three first engaging portions 23 of the projecting portion 25 and the three second engaging portions 26 of the mounting member 27 are aligned with each other.

Therefore, each of the guide pieces 43 and each of the notch grooves 29, when the second engaging portion 26 of the mounting member 27 is engaged with each of the first engaging portion 23 of the projecting portion 25, the mounting member with respect to the projecting portion 25 27 in the circumferential direction.

Next, the operation of mounting the sound absorbing material 21 inside the case 12 will be described.
When mounting the sound absorbing material 21 inside the case 12 , first, the sound absorbing material 21 is placed inside the case 12 so that the protrusions 25 are inserted into the through holes 21 a of the sound absorbing material 21 . Subsequently, the holding portion 33 of the mounting member 27 is parallel to the inner bottom surface 12b of the case 12, and the three guide pieces 43 provided on the main body portion 38 of the joint portion 32 are aligned with the three notch grooves 29 of the projecting portion 25, respectively. The mounting members 27 are arranged so as to face each other.

At this time, the three first engaging portions 23 of the projecting portion 25 and the three second engaging portions 26 of the main body portion 38 at the joint portion 32 of the mounting member 27 face each other. Subsequently, the joint portion 32 of the mounting member 27 is inserted into the projecting portion 25, and the three guide pieces 43 provided on the body portion 38 of the joint portion 32 are inserted into the three notch grooves 29 of the projecting portion 25, respectively. so that the mounting member 27 is moved.

Then, as shown in FIG. 5, by inserting the three guide pieces 43 into the three notch grooves 29 respectively, the mounting member 27 is positioned in the circumferential direction with respect to the projecting portion 25, and the mounting member 27 is removed. The joint 32 is inserted into the protrusion 25 . At this time, the three second engaging portions 26 of the mounting member 27 come into contact with the guide surfaces 23a of the three first engaging portions 23 of the projecting portion 25, respectively.

Subsequently, when the joint portion 32 of the mounting member 27 is pushed deep into the projecting portion 25, the second engaging portions 26 slide on the guide surface 23a toward the engaging surface 23b. At this time, each second engaging portion 26 is pushed toward the radially inner side of the protruding portion 25 by the guide surface 23 a , so that it is elastically deformed so as to curve radially inwardly of the protruding portion 25 . That is, each second engaging portion 26 is elastically deformed so as to curve inward in the radial direction of the projecting portion 25 in the course of sliding on the guide surface 23a toward the engaging surface 23b.

Subsequently, when the joint portion 32 of the mounting member 27 is further pushed deep into the projecting portion 25, as shown in FIG. While sliding toward, the pressing portion 41 of the biasing portion 28 comes into surface contact with the pressure receiving plate 30 . Subsequently, when the joint portion 32 of the mounting member 27 is further pushed deep into the projecting portion 25, as shown in FIG. reach.

Then, each of the elastically deformed second engaging portions 26 returns to its original shape before elastic deformation due to its own elastic restoring force. Thereby, each second engaging portion 26 engages with the engaging surface 23 b of the first engaging portion 23 . That is, each second engaging portion 26 is joined to each first engaging portion 23 . At this time, each first engaging portion 23 of the protruding portion 25 fits into the third opening portion 40 of the main body portion 38 of the joint portion 32 of the mounting member 27 .

Further, at this time, each guide piece 43 contacts the bottom 29a of the notch groove 29 of the projecting portion 25, and the holding portion 33 of the mounting member 27 lightly contacts the tip surface 25a of the projecting portion 25 and the flat surface 21b of the sound absorbing member 21. do. Further, at this time, the pressing portion 41 of the biasing portion 28 receives a reaction force from the pressure receiving plate 30 when pressing the pressure receiving plate 30 . Then, each support portion 42 supporting the pressing portion 41 in the urging portion 28 receives the reaction force from the pressure receiving plate 30 via the pressing portion 41, so that it is elastically deformed so as to curve more.

Due to the elastic force associated with the elastic deformation of each support portion 42 , the biasing portion 28 presses the mounting member 27 so that each second engaging portion 26 is pressed against the engaging surface 23 b of the first engaging portion 23 . force. That is, the biasing portion 28 biases the mounting member 27 in a direction opposite to the sound absorbing material 21 side in the extending direction of the projecting portion 25 in a state where the pressing portion 41 is in contact with the pressure receiving plate 30 . The engagement state between the engagement surface 23b of the first engagement portion 23 and the second engagement portion 26 is maintained. In other words, the biasing portion 28 biases the mounting member 27 in a direction to maintain the engagement state between the engaging surface 23 b of each first engaging portion 23 and the second engaging portion 26 .

In this way, each second engaging portion 26 of the mounting member 27 is joined to the first engaging portion 23 of the projecting portion 25 while the mounting member 27 sandwiches the central portion of the sound absorbing material 21 with the inner bottom surface 12b of the case 12. be done. That is, the operation of attaching the sound absorbing material 21 to the inside of the case 12 by the attachment mechanism 22 is completed.

Thus, in the air cleaner 10, the first engaging portions 23 of the protruding portion 25 and the second engaging portions 26 of the mounting member 27 are joined by a snap-fit structure. Therefore, each second engaging portion 26 of the mounting member 27 can be joined to each first engaging portion 23 of the projecting portion 25 with one touch. Therefore, the work of attaching the sound absorbing material 21 to the inside of the case 12 by the attaching mechanism 22 can be easily performed.

Here, for example, in the mounting mechanism 22 , the mounting member 27 receives a reaction force from the sound absorbing material 21 mounted inside the case 12 , thereby engaging the first engaging portions 23 and the second engaging portions 26 . The following problem arises when a configuration is adopted in which the combined state is maintained. That is, when the sound absorbing material 21 weakens, the reaction force that the mounting member 27 receives from the sound absorbing material 21 decreases.

Therefore, since a gap is formed between each first engaging portion 23 and each second engaging portion 26, the engagement state between each first engaging portion 23 and each second engaging portion 26 is can no longer be maintained. As a result, the restraining force of the mounting member 27 on the sound absorbing material 21 is reduced, and the first engaging portions 23 and the second engaging portions 26 repeatedly collide with each other due to vibrations caused by the engine, resulting in abnormal noise. problem arises.

In this regard, according to the air cleaner 10 of the present embodiment, even if the sound absorbing material 21 is worn out, the engagement state between the first engaging portions 23 and the second engaging portions 26 is maintained by the biasing force of the biasing portion 28. can. That is, the engagement state between each first engagement portion 23 and each second engagement portion 26 can be maintained regardless of the settling of the sound absorbing material 21 . Therefore, regardless of the settling of the sound absorbing material 21, the initial binding force of the mounting member 27 to the sound absorbing material 21 can be maintained, and the abnormal noise as described above can be prevented.

In the air cleaner 10 of this embodiment, the mounting member 27 does not need to receive a reaction force from the sound absorbing material 21, so the mounting member 27 is configured to lightly contact the sound absorbing material 21. FIG. Therefore, since the sound absorbing material 21 hardly receives pressure from the mounting member 27, it is difficult for the sound absorbing material 21 to sag.

Next, operation of the air cleaner 10 will be described.
As shown in FIG. 1, when the engine is started, intake air flows from the inlet 15 into the case 12 due to the intake negative pressure of the engine. The intake air that has flowed into the case 12 is filtered by the filtering portion 19 and flows into the cap 13, and then supplied from the outlet 17 to the engine side. At this time, intake noise generated by the air cleaner 10 is absorbed by the sound absorbing material 21 .

Furthermore, at this time, since the holding portion 33 of the mounting member 27 has the four first openings 37, compared to the case where the holding portion 33 of the mounting member 27 does not have the four first openings 37, the , the area where the holding portion 33 of the mounting member 27 covers the sound absorbing material 21 can be reduced. Therefore, the absorption of intake noise by the sound absorbing material 21 is prevented from being hindered by the mounting member 27, so the intake noise generated by the air cleaner 10 is effectively reduced.

According to the embodiment detailed above, the following effects are exhibited.
(1) The air cleaner 10 has a sound absorbing material 21 attached inside the housing 11 by an attachment mechanism 22 . The mounting mechanism 22 includes a projecting portion 25 that protrudes from the inner surface of the housing 11 and penetrates the sound absorbing material 21 and has a first engaging portion 23 and a pressure receiving portion 24 , and the sound absorbing material 21 and the inner surface of the housing 11 . and a mounting member 27 having a second engaging portion 26 that engages with the first engaging portion 23 while being sandwiched between the mounting member 27 and the mounting member 27 that is in contact with the pressure receiving portion 24 and is engaged with the first engaging portion 23 in the second engaging portion. and an urging portion 28 that urges in a direction to maintain the engagement state with the portion 26 .

Normally, when the mounting member 27 maintains the engaged state between the first engaging portion 23 and the second engaging portion 26 by receiving a reaction force from the sound absorbing material 21, when the sound absorbing material 21 weakens, the mounting The reaction force that the member 27 receives from the sound absorbing material 21 is reduced. As a result, the engagement state between the first engaging portion 23 and the second engaging portion 26 cannot be maintained, and the binding force of the mounting member 27 to the sound absorbing material 21 is reduced. In this regard, according to this configuration, the engagement state between the first engaging portion 23 and the second engaging portion 26 can be maintained by the biasing force of the biasing portion 28 even when the sound absorbing material 21 is worn out. Therefore, the initial binding force of the attachment member 27 to the sound absorbing material 21 can be maintained regardless of the settling of the sound absorbing material 21 .

(2) In the air cleaner 10, the first engaging portion 23 and the second engaging portion 26 are joined by a snap-fit structure.
According to this configuration, the second engaging portion 26 of the mounting member 27 can be joined to the first engaging portion 23 of the protruding portion 25 projecting from the inner surface of the housing 11 with one touch. Therefore, the work of attaching the sound absorbing material 21 into the housing 11 can be easily performed.

(3) In the air cleaner 10 , the biasing portion 28 is formed integrally with the mounting member 27 .
With this configuration, the number of parts can be reduced compared to the case where the biasing portion 28 is configured as a separate component from the mounting member 27 .

(4) In the air cleaner 10 , the projecting portion 25 has a tubular shape, and the first engaging portion 23 and the pressure receiving portion 24 are provided inside the projecting portion 25 .
This configuration can contribute to miniaturization of the mounting mechanism 22 .

(5) In the air cleaner 10 , the mounting mechanism 22 moves the mounting member 27 to the projecting portion 25 when engaging the second engaging portion 26 of the mounting member 27 with the first engaging portion 23 of the projecting portion 25 . Each guide piece 43 and each notch groove 29 are provided as an example of a positioning portion for positioning.

According to this configuration, by inserting each guide piece 43 into each notch groove 29 , the mounting member 27 can be positioned with respect to the projecting portion 25 , so that the first engaging portion 23 and the second engaging portion 26 can be engaged with high precision.
