- 前記狭角エミッタの前記アクティブ光エミッタと、前記二方向エミッタの前記アクティブ光エミッタの対との一方または両方が、発光ダイオードを備える、請求項9に記載のモード切り替え可能プライバシーディスプレイ。
- 前記第1の指向性バックライトが、前記第2の指向性バックライトと前記ライトバルブのアレイとの間にあり、前記第1の指向性バックライトが、前記二方向放射光に対して透明である、請求項8に記載のモード切り替え可能プライバシーディスプレイ。
- 狭角エミッタのアレイを使用して、第1のモードおよび第2のモードの両方の間、第1の指向性バックライトを使用して第1のビューゾーンを照明する狭角放射光を放射するステップと、
第2の指向性バックライトを使用して、前記第2のモードの間にのみ、二方向エミッタのアレイを使用して、二方向放射光を放射するステップであって、前記二方向放射光が、前記狭角放射光の角度範囲と相補的な分岐した角度広がりを有する、二方向放射光を放射するステップと、
前記第2のモードの間、前記狭角放射光と前記二方向放射光とを組み合わせて広角放射光を提供するステップと、を含み、
