Abstract
Description
本出願は、2019年1月9日に出願された「Sterile Battery Charging」と題された米国仮特許出願第62/790,076号、および2019年3月1日に出願された「Sterile Battery Charging」と題された米国仮特許出願第62/812,276号の優先権および利益を主張する。
外科手術用機器に給電するために使用される電池は、通常、滅菌野で使用できるように使用前に滅菌される。電池の電力がなくなった場合、新しい電池と交換される。より小型の機器では、電池寿命が不当に短く、手術中に一回以上の交換が必要となり得る。これには時間がかかる場合があるため、手術中、外科手術用器具が使用されていないときに電池を再充電すれば便利である。これにより、電池交換が必要になる前に、外科手術用器具の稼働時間が効果的に延長される。
Claims (20)
- 電池充電装置であって、
第一のインターフェースおよび第二のインターフェースを有するベースユニットであって、前記第一のインターフェースが第一の電池を受容するように構成され、前記第二のインターフェースが第二の電池を受容するように構成される、ベースユニットを備え、
前記ベースユニットが、前記第一の電池から電力を取得し、前記第二の電池に電力を送り、
前記第一の電池および前記第二の電池が、前記ベースユニットに相互交換的に取り付け可能である、電池充電装置。 - 前記ベースユニットが実質的に平面である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記ベースユニットが実質的に長方形である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第一のインターフェースが、前記ベースユニットに沿って延在する離間した、実質的に平行な一対のレールである、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第一の電池が、前記離間した、実質的に平行な一対のレール内で摺動可能である、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 前記第二のインターフェースが、一つまたは複数の電池端子である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記第一の電池および第二の電池が滅菌可能である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 電池充電組立品であって、
第一のインターフェースおよび第二のインターフェースを有するベースユニット、
前記第一のインターフェースに接続可能な高容量電池、
前記第二のインターフェースに接続可能な低容量電池、を備え、
前記ベースユニットが、高容量電池から電力を取得し、前記低容量電池に電力を送り、
前記高容量電池および前記低容量電池が、前記ベースユニットに相互交換的に接続可能である、電池充電組立品。 - 前記第二のインターフェースと前記低容量電池との間に接続されるアダプターをさらに備える、請求項8に記載の組立品。
- 前記低容量電池が、前記アダプターに接続可能な機器電池である、請求項9に記載の組立品。
- 前記第一のインターフェースが、前記ベースユニットに沿って延在する離間した、実質的に平行な一対のレールである、請求項8に記載の組立品。
- 高容量電池が、前記離間した、実質的に平行な一対のレール内で摺動可能である、請求項11に記載の組立品。
- 前記第二のインターフェースが、一つまたは複数の電池端子である、請求項8に記載の組立品。
- 前記高容量電池および前記低容量電池が滅菌可能である、請求項8に記載の組立品。
- 外科手術用電池を充電する方法であって、
滅菌野のベースユニットに電力を供給する工程、
電池を滅菌する工程、
滅菌後に前記電池を前記滅菌野に導入する工程、
前記滅菌野の前記ベースユニットからの電力で前記電池を充電する工程、
前記滅菌野での外科的処置において前記電池を使用する工程、および、
前記滅菌野の前記ベースユニットからの電力で前記電池を再充電する工程、を含む、方法。 - 前記ベースユニットが一次コイルを備え、前記電池が二次コイルを有する、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 前記一次コイルが前記二次コイルを無線充電する、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記電池が前記ベースユニットに接続可能である、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 前記電池を外科手術用器具に接続する工程をさらに含む、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 充電電池を前記滅菌野に導入する工程、
前記充電電池を前記滅菌野の前記ベースユニットに取り付ける工程、および、
前記ベースユニットを介して前記充電電池から電力を取得して、前記電池を再充電する工程、をさらに含む、請求項15に記載の方法。
