従来これらの方法に用いられる消毒薬等については、例えばグルコン酸、クロルヘキシジン、水、並びに、安息香酸又はその塩、パラオキシ安息香酸エステル、サリチル酸又はその塩、サリチル酸エステル、ヨウ化カリウム、塩化アンモニウム、アスパラギン酸又はその塩、グルタミン酸又はその塩、アルギニン又はその塩、亜硫酸水素ナトリウム、リン酸二水素カリウム、グルコン酸、トコフェロール酢酸エステル及びフェノキシエタノールからなる群より選択される少なくとも１種の添加剤、を含み、放射線照射により滅菌された、グルコン酸ヘロルヘキシジン製剤、このグルコン酸クロルヘキシジン製剤を含む消毒用キット、並びに放射線を照射する工程を含む滅菌方法（特許文献１）が知られている。
また消毒薬用キットとしては、例えば剥離可能な弱シールによって少なくとも２つの収納室に区分された包装袋に、剛性を有する把持部と薬液含浸部とを備えた衛生材料、および消毒薬が分離して収納されてなる消毒薬用キットであって、前記薬液含浸剤が前記把持部よりも前記弱シール部に近接して収納されると共に、前記弱シール部は前記薬液含浸部によって剥離可能とされていることを特徴とする消毒薬用キット（特許文献２）が知られている。

また前記含嗽液、プロポリス液は、ＢＦＳ（成形同時充填）容器に封入し、これをうがい薬および点鼻用薬として使用することができる。尚うがい薬として使用する場合は、直接口腔内に注入することも可能であり、さらに点鼻用薬として使用する場合には綿棒等に塗付して用いることが好ましい。
さらに簡易コップは、市販の紙コップ、プラコップが使用でき容量も３０ｍｌ程度で充分使用できる。
また目を保護する場合には、花粉防止用メガネ等のメガネ型あるいはゴーグル型の防護メガネをチャック付耐水性袋に同時に収納することもできる。
チャック付耐水性袋としては例えば市販されている縦１９～２６ｃｍ、横１２～１７ｃｍ程度の大きさのチャック付ポリ袋等が使用できる。

またこれらの消毒に加えて、店等に備え付けられている手指用の消毒液で手指を消毒した後本発明のウイルス感染予防用消毒キットを使うと一層予防効果が向上する。
