Abstract
Description
本発明の実施においては、特記されない限り、クラス1またはクラスAの資格を有する者または学位を有する環境工学者の通常の技術の範囲内である、従来の廃水処理工学の技術を利用する。かかる技術および技術用語の定義は、以下の技術者認定用の文献に十分に説明されている:Operation of Wastewater Treatment Plants Manuals,A Field Study Training Program,4th Edition,Volume 1 and 2,California State University,Sacramento,1998; Industrial Waste Treatment,A Field Study Training Program,California State University,Sacramento,1991; Advanced Waste Treatment,A Field Study Training Program,Second Edition,California State University,Sacramento,1993;およびOperation and Maintenance Wastewater Collection Systems,A Field Study Training Program,Fourth Edition,Volumes 1 and 2,California State University,Sacramento,1993。
一の具体例において、本発明は、廃水の処理方法であって、この方法において廃棄および/または発生する正味の汚泥量を減少させる。

本発明は、以下の態様を含む。
1. 汚泥除去および排出水質の維持方法であって:
流入廃水流を処理施設に誘導すること;ここに、該流入廃水流は、少なくとも1日あたり20,000ガロン(75,708L)の流量であり、流入廃水流が、少なくとも50mg/Lの固形物および100mg/LのBODを有する;
処理施設において、固形物およびBODを流入廃水流から除去して、最終排出流を得ること;ここに、固形物およびBODを除去する工程は、生物発酵槽からのシュードモナス種およびバチルス種のいずれか1つ以上の機能性微生物を含む処理バッチを、適用時点で103~104cfu/ml以上の濃度で接種されるように添加することによって廃水流を処理することと、その後に、廃水流を機能性微生物を使用する生物学的廃水処理に付すこととを含み、該最終排出流は、廃水流の10%未満の固形物および廃水流の10%未満のBODを有する;
処理バッチの添加により、処理バッチの中の機能性微生物により糸状菌またはズーグレアタイプの微生物を排除することで、最終排出流中の固形物およびBODを増加させることなく、除去汚泥の重量を、少なくとも10%減少させること
を含む方法。
2. 最終排出流中の固形物およびBODを増加させることなく、除去汚泥の重量を、少なくとも25%減少させる、態様[1]に記載の方法。
3. 最終排出流中の固形物およびBODを増加させることなく、除去汚泥の重量を、少なくとも50%減少させる、態様[1]または[2]に記載の方法。
4. 固形物およびBODの除去により、除去BOD1kgあたり0.25kg未満の二次汚泥を生じさせる、態様[1]~[3]のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
5. 生物発酵槽を廃水処理施設にオンサイトで設置する、態様[1]~[4]のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
6. 栄養、水および微生物を含む接種物をオンサイトシステムに送り込む、態様[5]に記載の方法。
7. 処理バッチの適用時点で、103~104cfu/mlの接種を達成できるように、接種物を、108~109cfu/mlの濃度にまで増殖する、態様[6]に記載の方法。
8. 生物発酵槽がメインタンク、水の流入装置、処理バッチの排出装置、混合装置、および温度制御装置を含む、態様[1]~[7]のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
9. 微生物を含む処理バッチの少なくとも一部が、直接、汚染廃水に用いられ、増殖工程と利用工程の間、微生物が単離、濃縮または凍結乾燥されない、態様[1]~[7]のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
10. 処理バッチが、嫌気性消化槽に加えられる、態様[1]~[9]のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
11. 処理バッチが、調整池に加えられる、態様[1]~[9]のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
12. 処理バッチが、第一清澄槽に加えられる、態様[1]~[9]のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
13. 流入廃水流が、少なくとも100mg/Lの固形物および200mg/LのBODを有し、除去固形物が、除去BOD1kgあたり、0.25kg未満の二次汚泥である、態様[1]~[12]のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
14. 流入廃水流が、少なくとも100mg/Lの固形物および400mg/LのBODを有し、除去固形物が、除去BOD1kgあたり、0.25kg未満の二次汚泥である、態様[1]~[13]のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
15. 流入廃水流が、少なくとも100mg/Lの固形物および200mg/LのBODを有し、除去固形物が、除去BOD1kgあたり、0.125kg未満の二次汚泥である、態様[1]~[13]のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
Claims (6)
- 活性汚泥法または散水濾床法を用いる汚泥除去および排出水質の維持方法であって:
(a)オンサイトシステムにおいて増殖させたシュードモナス属およびバチルス属のいずれか1つ以上の機能性微生物を含む処理バッチを、適用時点で103~104cfu/ml以上の濃度で接種されるように添加することによって廃水流を処理することを含み、該処理バッチの強度は2.5ポンドであり;
(b)前記(a)の処理工程は、処理生物汚泥を生じ、該処理生物汚泥は、(a)の処理工程前のシステムにより生じる生物汚泥と比較して、改善された沈降特性を有し;
(c)これにより、処理生物汚泥中の固形物は、(a)の処理工程前のシステムにより生じる生物汚泥の固形物よりも100%以上増加した、
方法。 - 栄養、水および微生物を含む接種物をオンサイトシステムに送り込む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- オンサイトシステムがメインタンク、水の流入装置、処理バッチの排出装置、混合装置、および温度制御装置を含む、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 微生物を含む処理バッチの少なくとも一部が、直接、汚染廃水に用いられ、増殖工程と利用工程の間、微生物が単離、濃縮または凍結乾燥されない、請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 処理バッチが、調整池に加えられる、請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 処理バッチが、第一清澄槽に加えられる、請求項1~4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
