Claims (20)
- 流体流れ内を流れる非目標材料から目標材料を分離する、基板上に製造された、微細加工された粒子選別装置であって、粒子分離装置は、
前記非目標材料から前記目標粒子を区別する信号を生成する検出領域と、
やはり同じ前記基板上に製造された試料入口チャネルと、選別チャネルと、廃棄チャネルとを有しており、前記目標粒子は、流体圧力の瞬間的なパルスによって、前記廃棄チャネルでなく前記選別チャネル内へ送り込まれ、圧力のパルスは、前記試料入口チャネルと同じ前記基板に製造されたアクチュエータによって発生される、微細加工された粒子選別装置。 - 前記瞬間的パルスは、周囲流体より高い圧力を有しており、該より高い圧力は、前記目標粒子を前記選別チャネルへ押し込む、請求項1記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
- 前記瞬間的パルスは、周囲流体より低い圧力を有しており、該より低い圧力は、前記目標粒子を前記選別チャネルへ引き込む、請求項1記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
- 前記瞬間的パルスは、周囲流体よりも、1つの位置におけるより高い圧力および別の位置におけるより低い圧力を有しており、前記より高い圧力および前記より低い圧力は、前記目標粒子を選別チャネルへ方向付ける、請求項1記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
- 前記瞬間的パルスは、前記基板に形成されたテーパしたノズルの先端部で発生し、前記テーパしたノズルおよび前記選別チャネルは、前記廃棄チャネルに対して非直交角度で配置されており、かつレーザ呼びかけ領域の下流に、互いに対して前記廃棄チャネルを横切って配置されている、請求項1記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
- 前記角度は、30〜60度である、請求項1記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
- 前記アクチュエータは、静電力、電磁力および圧電力のうちの少なくとも1つに基づいて作動する、請求項1記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
- 前記廃棄チャネルは、前記選別チャネルおよび前記試料入口チャネルを含む平面に対して実質的に直交して配置されている、請求項1記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
- 前記テーパしたノズルの幅は、3ミクロン〜15ミクロンである、請求項5記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
- 前記流体流れは、前記アクチュエータが休止状態へ解放されながら(通常はオンである)前記選別チャネルへ短時間で逸らされる、請求項1記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
- 前記流体流れは、前記アクチュエータが休止状態から作動状態へ駆動されながら(通常はオフである)前記選別チャネルへ短時間で逸らされる、請求項1記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
- 前記試料入口流は、前記アクチュエータが休止状態において(通常はオンである)、前記選別チャネルへ流れる、請求項1記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
- 前記アクチュエータは、外部電磁石と、可動部材に埋め込まれた透過性材料との間に生じる電磁力によって作動される、請求項1記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
- 前記可動部材は、前記外部電磁石の励磁に応答して移動し、前記試料入口チャネルおよび前記選別チャネルをも含む平面内で移動し、前記外部電磁石と、前記可動部材に埋め込まれた透過性材料との間に生じる電磁力によって作動される、請求項13記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
- 前記可動部材は、該可動部材の形成後に残留する基板材料の峡部によって、前記基板にしっかりと接続されており、この基板材料の峡部は、前記電磁石が消磁されたときに前記可動部材を元の位置へ戻すための復元力を提供する、請求項14記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
- 前記可動部材は、その移動の少なくとも一部にわたって、前記廃棄チャネル上に配置されており、これにより、通路は、前記可動部材が平面内の所定の位置に位置したまま前記目標粒子が前記試料入口チャネルから前記廃棄チャネルへ流れるために存在する、請求項15記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
- 前記検出領域は、レーザ放射が前記試料流へ提供されるレーザ呼びかけ領域である、請求項1記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
- 前記試料流は、識別光学信号を送信するために、前記レーザ放射と相互作用する蛍光タグがタグ付けされた、浮遊した目標粒子を含む、請求項17記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
- 前記検出領域は、前記目標粒子を前記非目標材料から識別するために、前記目標粒子の機械的、光学的、電気的、磁気的または化学的特性のうちの少なくとも1つを測定する、請求項1記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
- 前記外部電磁石は、N極およびS極を有する1つの透過性コアの周囲に巻き付けられたコイルを有しており、磁束は、前記N極から出て、空間を通過し、前記透過性コアの前記S極へ戻る、請求項13記載の微細加工された粒子選別装置。
