Description

The present invention relates to a face guard that protects the face from splashes and the like.

Conventionally, a medical face guard used during medical treatment such as surgery or treatment or during long-term care has been used to protect the face from droplets such as blood, body fluid, and excrement. Such medical face guards are desired to reduce the risk of infection with infectious diseases and do not require complicated sterilization treatment, and those provided with a disposable shield are put into practical use.
For example, in Patent Document 1, in order to protect the wearer's eyes, a disposable shield provided in front of the wearer's eyes, a frame portion (holding portion) for holding the shield, and a holding portion are provided. A face guard that is connected and has a mounting portion for mounting on the head is disclosed. As a result of diligent research to solve the above problems, the present inventor has found that the following invention meets the above object, and has arrived at the present invention.

The shield member 10 is made of a flexible transparent sheet material. As the material of the transparent sheet material, any material that is transparent and has mechanical and chemical strength may be used, and a transparent resin is typically selected. The transparent resin is not limited as long as the object of the present invention is not impaired, and examples thereof include polyethylene, polypropylene, and polycarbonate.

Further, the size of the shield member 10 is preferably a size that covers the entire face of the user in order to prevent the droplets from coming into contact with the face. However, this is not the case when a mask is used together, and the upper half of the face may be the size.

The thickness of the shield member 10 may be as long as it is transparent and maintains mechanical and chemical strength, but since the shield member 10 is used as a disposable item, it is preferably formed thin in terms of cost. Usually, it is 2 mm or less, preferably 1 mm or less.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the engaged portions 11 are formed at two places on the left and right on the upper part of the shield member 10. As shown in FIG. 4, the engaged portion 11 in the present embodiment is two fitting holes 11a in parallel. In this embodiment, the width of the fitting hole 11a is about 2 cm.

The band member 20 is a member to be attached to the head of the user, and has a shape as shown in FIG. 5A in the present embodiment. As shown in FIGS. 5A and 5B, the band member 20 has protrusions 21 which are engagement portions at two places. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the two protrusions 21 of the band member 20 are formed at positions corresponding to the fitting holes 11a of the shield member 10, and the protrusions 21a of the protrusions 21 are formed in the fitting holes 11a. The area 20a shown in FIG. 2 is a portion that comes into contact with the front surface of the user's head when the face guard 1 is used. As shown in FIG. 6, in the face guard 1 of the present embodiment, the foam 30 is attached to the region 20a and used. The length of the band member 20 is not particularly limited as long as it is a length that can correspond to the size of the heads of various users (for example, 58 cm or more). The width of the band member 20 is not particularly limited as long as it can hold the shield member 10 (for example, 1 cm or more).
