Abstract
Description
(1)溶媒が水であり、前記溶媒中に酸化鉄前駆体が分散している、紫外線吸収能を有する鉄イオン含有ゾル。
(2)鉄塩の水溶液中で前記鉄塩を加水分解し、加水分解後の溶液を透析することにより得られることを特徴とする上記(1)記載の鉄イオン含有ゾル。
(3)上記(1)若しくは(2)記載の鉄イオン含有ゾル、又は上記(1)若しくは(2)記載の鉄イオン含有ゾルの乾燥物を含む紫外線吸収剤。
(4)上記(3)記載の紫外線吸収剤を含む化粧品。
(5)上記(1)又は(2)記載の鉄イオン含有ゾル及びバインダーを含む紫外線吸収塗料。
(6)上記(1)又は(2)記載の鉄イオン含有ゾルの乾燥物及びバインダーを含む紫外線吸収膜。

(9)水溶液中で鉄塩を加水分解し、前記加水分解後の溶液を透析する工程を含む紫外線吸収能を有する鉄イオン含有ゾルの製造方法。
Fe(NO3)3・9H2O(4.04g)を水に溶かして、50mLメスフラスコで定容して0.2M Fe(NO3)3水溶液を調製した。また、NaHCO3(1.008g)を水に溶かして、50mLメスフラスコで定容して0.24M NaHCO3水溶液を調製した。Fe(NO3)3水溶液を三角フラスコに移し、500rpmでスタラーにより攪拌しながらNaHCO3水溶液を3mL/minの速さで滴下した。12cmにカットした半透膜(分画分子量3500、幅45mm)の袋を4袋用意し、滴下後の液をそれぞれ25mLずつ入れ、1Lの超純水(メルクミリポリアMilli−Q Integral MTで製造)入りのビーカーに5時間漬けて透析した。透析水(超純水)は1時間ごとに交換した。こうして本発明のゾルを調製した。調製したゾルを水で100倍に希釈し、ICP(誘導結合プラズマ発光分光分析装置:Agilent Technologies 5110 ICP−OES)で濃度を測定した。その結果、調製したゾルのFe3+イオン濃度は0.0731Mであり、pHは2.7であった。調製したゾルと、調製したゾルを2倍、4倍、8倍、16倍、32倍にそれぞれ水で希釈した水溶液の吸収スペクトルを測定した(紫外可視分光光度計:島津製作所製、UV−1800)。測定された吸収スペクトルを図1に示す。図1に示されるように、希釈によって吸収端のシフトが観察された。図1の吸収スペクトルは、600nmにおける吸光度の高い方から順に調製したゾル(希釈前)、2倍希釈、4倍希釈、8倍希釈、16倍希釈、32倍希釈である。200〜350nmでは、いずれの濃度においても吸光度は3以上であった。2倍、4倍、32倍に希釈した際のゾルのpHは、それぞれ2.9、3.1、4.0であった。
Fe(NO3)3・9H2O(0.59g)を20mLの水に溶かして、0.0731M硝酸鉄水溶液を調製した。調製した水溶液と、調製した水溶液を実施例1と同様に2倍、4倍、8倍、16倍、32倍にそれぞれ水で希釈した水溶液の吸収スペクトルを測定した。測定された吸収スペクトルを図2に示す。図2の吸収スペクトルは、450nmにおける吸光度の高い方から順に希釈前、2倍希釈、4倍希釈、8倍希釈、16倍希釈、32倍希釈である。
Fe(NO3)3・9H2O(7.57g)を水に溶かして、0.0937M Fe(NO3)3水溶液100mLを調製した。NaHCO3(2.016g)を水に溶かして、0.24M NaHCO3水溶液100mLを調製した。また、60%HNO3(0.76mL)を水で100mLに希釈して、pH1のHNO3を調製した。0.0937M Fe(NO3)3水溶液100mLを250rpmでスタラーにより攪拌しながら、0.24M NaHCO3水溶液100mLを滴下漏斗により3mL/minの速さで滴下した。滴下により、橙色から赤黒色に変化した。滴下後、そのままの攪拌速度で2時間攪拌した。実施例1と同様の半透膜の袋を8袋用意し、滴下後の液をそれぞれ25mLずつ入れ、1Lの透析水入りのビーカーに2時間漬けて透析した。透析水としては、pH1のHNO3に水を加え、pHを3.5にしたものを使用し、透析水は1時間ごとに交換した。こうして本発明のゾルを調製した。得られたゾルのFe3+イオン濃度はICP測定により0.069Mであった。得られたゾルを乾燥させて得た粉末のX線回折パターン(Rigaku MiniFlex 600)を図5に示す。明確なピークはなくアモルファス構造であった。乾燥により得られた粉末0.36gを、24分かけて400℃まで昇温し、400℃で11時間36分保持し、その後、1時間かけて600℃まで昇温後、600℃を12時間保持することにより焼成した。得られた粉末のX線回折パターンを図6に示す。焼成によりα−Fe2O3が生成することが分かった。従って、本発明のゾルは、α−Fe2O3の前駆体ゾルである。

実施例1と同様の手順で、0.04M鉄イオン含有ゾルを調製した。このゾル20mLにメチルセルロース(MC400)を0.4g(鉄イオン含有ゾルに対して2質量%)加え、湯浴で55℃まで加熱して分散させた後、超音波にかけて氷浴中で攪拌してメチルセルロースを溶かした。こうして調製したゾルとメチルセルロースの均一な混合液を作製した。この混合液にα−Vega(0.2g)を加え、攪拌して分散させた。得られた分散液を疎水化処理したシャーレ(直径:約9cm)にキャストして40℃で乾燥させた。得られたフィルムを1cm×3cmに切った。その様子を図7に示す。図7(a)は室内灯照射下の状態であり、図7(b)は紫外線照射(ペン型UVライト:Mos−Cure(登録商標) mini 365)下の状態である。α−Vega(株式会社エルティーアイ社製、品番GDK13100EP、耐水性、粒径:100μm)は市販されている蓄光顔料であり、アルミン酸ストロンチウム、ユウロピウム及びジスプロシウムからなる希土類系蓄光顔料である。α−Vegaは、250〜480nmの光で励起され、530nmに発光極大波長を有する緑色の発光を示す。
鉄イオン含有ゾルの代わりに水を使用して実施例3と同様にして、メチルセルロースとα−Vegaの複合フィルムを作製した。その様子を図8に示す。図8(a)は室内灯照射下の状態であり、図8(b)は実施例3と同様の紫外線照射下の状態である。
(鉄イオン含有ゾルを用いた蓄光顔料の被覆)
ドデシル硫酸ナトリウムのエタノール溶液(0.05g/10ml)にα−Vega(株式会社エルティーアイ社製、品番GDK13060WP、耐水性、粒径:30μm)(1g)を加え攪拌した。実施例1で調製した本発明のゾル(2mL)を追加して攪拌した。攪拌しながら100℃で乾燥し、その後室温まで冷却して5%PVA溶液(1g)を加えて撹拌し、さらにIPA溶液(10mL)を加えて撹拌し、次に離型剤であるステアリン酸鉛(0.2g)を加えて撹拌した。その後、撹拌しながら100℃まで加熱して乾固して、α−Vegaを本発明のゾルを使用して被覆した粒子を得た。図9に使用したα−Vegaの光学顕微鏡による観察像を、図10に実施例4の処理により得られた粒子の光学顕微鏡による観察像を示す。図9(a)及び図10(a)は室内灯照射下の状態であり、図9(b)及び図10(b)は紫外線照射下の状態である。図11及び図12は、実施例4の処理により得られた被覆粒子が水に触れたときの変化を示す光学顕微鏡による観察像である。図11は水に触れる前の様子を示している。図12(a)〜(d)は、スライドガラスの上に水滴を置き、その上に被覆粒子を落として時間の経過による変化を示す光学顕微鏡による観察像である。図9(b)から分かるように、処理前のα−Vegaは紫外線照射下で緑色に発光した。一方、図10(b)から分かるように、本発明のゾルを使用して被覆した被覆粒子は、紫外線照射下で発光しなかった。これは、α−Vega粒子の表面を本発明のゾルの乾燥物が被覆し、この被覆層が250〜480nmの光を吸収し、α−Vega粒子に励起光が届かなかったためと考えられる。このように、本発明のゾルを使用した被覆層は優れた紫外線吸収性能を有し、被覆物(被覆される対象物)を保護する観点からは優れた紫外線遮蔽性能を有する。図12から分かるように、(a)から(d)へと時間が経過するに伴い、緑色の発光が強くなっている。これは、被覆層のバインダーであるPVAが水に溶けだし、それに伴いゾル乾燥物も水中に分散していくことによって、被覆層が剥がれたためと考えられる。このように本発明の被覆粒子はバインダーとして水に溶けだしやすいものを使用すると、水に接触するまでは被覆物を紫外線から保護し、水に接触すると被覆物の特性を発揮させることができる。
Claims (9)
- 溶媒が水であり、前記溶媒中に酸化鉄前駆体が分散している、紫外線吸収能を有する鉄イオン含有ゾル。
- 鉄塩の水溶液中で前記鉄塩を加水分解し、加水分解後の溶液を透析することにより得られることを特徴とする請求項1記載の鉄イオン含有ゾル。
- 請求項1若しくは2記載の鉄イオン含有ゾル、又は請求項1若しくは2記載の鉄イオン含有ゾルの乾燥物を含む紫外線吸収剤。
- 請求項3記載の紫外線吸収剤を含む化粧品。
- 請求項1又は2記載の鉄イオン含有ゾル及びバインダーを含む紫外線吸収塗料。
- 請求項1又は2記載の鉄イオン含有ゾルの乾燥物及びバインダーを含む紫外線吸収膜。
- 請求項1又は2記載の鉄イオン含有ゾルの乾燥物を含む被覆層を表面に有する被覆粒子。
- 鉄イオン含有ゾルの乾燥物及び水溶性バインダーを含む被覆層が発光機能を有する粒子表面に形成されたことを特徴とする請求項7記載の被覆粒子。
- 水溶液中で鉄塩を加水分解し、前記加水分解後の溶液を透析する工程を含む紫外線吸収能を有する鉄イオン含有ゾルの製造方法。
