Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to the technical fields of satellite broadcasting, terrestrial broadcasting, fixed communication and mobile communication, and in particular, it is possible to retransmit data in response to a retransmission request from the receiving side by linking broadcasting and communication. It relates to a transmission server, a transmission device and a reception device related to digital broadcasting, and a program.
In the digital broadcasting system of satellite broadcasting and terrestrial broadcasting, an error correction code is used as a technique for improving transmission performance under white noise. For example, in advanced broadband satellite digital broadcasting, the LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) code, which is a powerful error correction code having performance approaching the Shannon limit, which is the theoretical upper limit of utilization efficiency for the signal-to-noise ratio, is used ( For example, see Non-Patent Documents 1 and 2). However, in satellite digital broadcasting, attenuation due to rainfall, fading in terrestrial digital broadcasting, etc., in digital broadcasting, the transmission conditions may deteriorate to the extent that the signal cannot be recovered only by the error correction code.
On the other hand, in digital wireless communication, data retransmission control by ARQ (Automatic Repeat reQuest) is known as a data compensation technique other than an error correction code (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2). In digital wireless communication, transmission performance can be improved by using Hybrid ARQ that combines an error correction code and ARQ, the number of retransmissions is smaller than that using ARQ alone, and conditions that cannot be compensated by the error correction code alone. Data transmission is possible. However, the conventional prior technology using Hybrid ARQ is limited to two-way communication such as FPU and mobile phone base station communication, and cooperates with communication in one-way broadcasting such as broadcasting, and data is transmitted by Hybrid ARQ. No compensation technique has been established.
Although it does not constitute a Hybrid ARQ, when the transmission conditions of digital broadcasting deteriorate, the ARQ is directed from the receiving side to the transmitting side via the IP (Internet Protocol) network, which is a communication path capable of bidirectional communication. (For example, see Patent Document 3).
A general IP network is assumed to be a binary erasure channel (PEC) in which information is lost due to some kind of failure such as line congestion. Therefore, in Hybrid ARQ in digital wireless communication, LDPC-CC (Convolutional Codes) (see, for example, Patent Document 4) and LDGM (Low-Density Generator Matrix) codes (for example, Patent Document 5) are used as error correction codes for data compensation. An error correction code dedicated to IP communication, which is a lost communication path such as (see), is used. These LDPC-CC and LDGM codes are error correction codes based on the LDPC code as in advanced broadband satellite digital broadcasting, but are designed in consideration of only IP communication, which is a lost communication path. It is necessary to prepare an error correction code encoder and decoder dedicated to IP communication.
As described above, in digital wireless communication, transmission performance can be improved by using Hybrid ARQ that combines an error correction code and ARQ, and the number of retransmissions is smaller than that using only ARQ, and only the error correction code is used. Data can be transmitted under conditions that cannot be compensated for.
However, a technique for coordinating with communication in one-way broadcasting such as broadcasting and compensating for data with Hybrid ARQ has not been established.
Therefore, also in digital broadcasting, a technique of compensating data with Hybrid ARQ by fusing digital broadcasting and communication in which an error correction code and ARQ are combined in cooperation with communication is desired. For example, when the transmission conditions of digital broadcasting deteriorate, by constructing a transmission system that performs ARP from the receiving side to the transmitting side via the IP network, which is a communication path capable of bidirectional communication, and retransmits data from the transmitting side. , Transmission performance can be improved. In other words, since the current digital broadcasting only assumes data compensation using an error correction code, by compensating the data related to digital broadcasting with Hybrid ARQ, it is possible to deal with the deterioration of transmission conditions that cannot be corrected by the error correction code. ..
However, in order to construct a transmission system using Hybrid ARQ by fusing broadcasting and communication, an error dedicated to IP communication disclosed in
Therefore, it is required to efficiently combine "error correction code used in digital broadcasting" and ARQ, and to construct a transmission system using Hybrid ARQ by fusing broadcasting and communication.
That is, without increasing the encoder of the transmitting device and the decoder of the receiving device related to digital broadcasting, the digital broadcasting and the communication by the IP network are linked, for example, the concatenated code and IP of error correction of the LDPC code and the BCH code. It is desired to improve the error correction capability related to digital broadcasting by constructing a transmission system that realizes Hybrid ARQ that combines retransmission requests using communication.
Further, when retransmitting by IP communication, if the number of bits to be retransmitted increases, it is assumed that the load on the communication line increases and the line becomes tight. Therefore, the number of bits at the time of data retransmission is as small as possible, and a technique for efficiently realizing data compensation by Hybrid ARQ is desired.
Therefore, without increasing the encoder of the transmitting device and the decoder of the receiving device related to digital broadcasting, the digital broadcasting and the communication by the IP network are linked, for example, the concatenated code and IP of error correction of the LDPC code and the BCH code. By constructing a transmission system that realizes Hybrid ARQ that combines retransmission requests using communication, the error correction capability related to digital broadcasting is improved, and the number of bits at the time of data retransmission is reduced as much as possible for efficiency. A technique for realizing a typical Hybrid ARQ is desired. In addition, it is possible that the packet loss rate caused by data retransmission via the IP network is lower than the bit error rate expected in digital broadcasting, and even in such a case, a technique for realizing efficient Hybrid ARQ. Is desired.
Therefore, in view of the above-mentioned problems, an object of the present invention is to link digital broadcasting and IP network communication without increasing the decoding device of the receiving device, to perform error correction by LDPC code and to perform a retransmission request using IP communication. The combined Hybrid ARQ is realized, and the LDPC coding rate can be selected according to the error correction code correction capability used for digital broadcasting and the packet loss rate of the IP network, and the number of bits at the time of data retransmission is possible. By reducing the number as much as possible, based on the coded data of the error correction code used in digital broadcasting, the data is efficiently retransmitted according to the packet loss rate of the IP network in response to the retransmission request from the receiving side using communication. It is an object of the present invention to provide a transmission server, a transmission device and a reception device related to digital broadcasting, and a program that enable the above.

An interleaved frame is configured by using a coding rate adaptive change unit that changes the coding rate for a predetermined number of coded data consecutive to the data and constitutes a plurality of error correction code frames and the plurality of error correction code frames. , The payload obtained by interleaving each error correction code frame so as to traverse the data, the identification header for making the interleaved frame identifiable, and the number of bits represented in each error correction code frame. An IP packet generator that generates a coded data packet of an IP packet string by adding a sequence number to be specified and an IP header that is a header of the coded data packet, and transmits the coded data packet to the receiving device via the IP network. The packet is erased The loss rate information is allowed to indicate a packet loss rate indicating a state lower than the bit error rate previously assumed in the digital broadcasting, and the coding rate determination unit is based on the packet loss rate information. Further, the receiving device of the present invention is a receiving device that digitally modulates encoded data encoded by a transmitting device using an error correction code related to digital broadcasting and receives a modulated wave signal transmitted via a broadcasting transmission path. The error correction code is obtained by reconstructing the demodulator that receives and demolishes the modulated wave signal and the error correction code frame that constitutes the code length of the error correction code from the coded data obtained by demodulating the error correction code. An error correction decoding unit that performs decoding processing corresponding to The retransmission request information indicating the coded data of the error correction code frame related to the error correction code frame for requesting the retransmission of, and the packet loss rate information measured based on the setting or the reception of the encoded data retransmitted via the IP network. A retransmission request packet generation unit that generates a retransmission request packet in the form of an IP packet including the same and transmits the retransmission request packet to the transmission server of the present invention, and an encoding that is retransmitted from the transmission server in response to the retransmission request packet. An IP packet receiving unit that receives an encoded data packet of an IP packet string for storing data, performs an interleave reverse processing by the transmitting server, and extracts the encoded data retransmitted in response to the retransmission request. The error correction / decoding unit encodes the coded data retransmitted in response to the retransmission request with the coding rate of the coded data obtained by demodulating the coded data when the coding rate is not changed. When the rate is changed, the padding bit corresponding to the coding rate is added at the insertion position of the padding bit assigned according to the coding rate by the transmission server, and the plausibility required for decoding is added. The decoding process is attempted through the complementary processing related to the replacement of the degree ratio, and has a means of repeating the request for retransmitting the corresponding coded data until the decoding can be performed within a predetermined time, and the packet loss rate information is assumed in advance in the digital broadcasting. It is characterized in that it is allowed to show a packet loss rate indicating a state lower than the bit error rate being set.
Further, in the receiving device of the present invention, the error correction code is composed of a concatenated code in which an LDPC code is connected as an internal code and a BCH code is connected as an external code, and the error correction decoding unit performs a bit error in the decoding process of the BCH code. When the error in (1) cannot be completely corrected, or the error can be corrected by the decoding process of the BCH code but the predetermined number of BCH errors is reached, it is determined that the bit error of the coded data cannot be corrected. It is a feature.
Further, in the receiving device of the present invention, the number of lost packets is counted based on the sequence number of the IP packet string, the packet loss rate of the IP line is measured, and the retransmission request packet is generated as the packet loss rate information. It is characterized by including a packet loss rate measuring unit for notifying the unit.
Further, in the receiving device of the present invention, the packet loss rate in which the packet loss rate estimated by the test communication of the round-trip line with the transmission server or determined by the user setting is set in the retransmission request packet generation unit as the packet loss rate information. It is characterized by having a setting unit.
Further, in the receiving device of the present invention, the error correction / decoding unit has a plurality of types of first coding rates that can be used by the transmitting device and a plurality of types of second coding rates that can be used only by the transmitting server. It is characterized by having a decoder that decodes the coded data corresponding to each code rate of the code rate.
Further, the program of the present invention is configured as a program for operating the computer as the transmission server of the present invention.
According to the present invention, for data loss that cannot be prevented only by broadcast reception, data can be retransmitted on the receiving side by executing a retransmission request from the receiving side to the transmitting side via an IP network and enabling data retransmission from the transmitting side. Can be complemented. In particular, the data retransmitted by the transmitting side via the IP network is used as the encoded data in the block code of digital broadcasting, and the retransmitted data is retransmitted so as to reduce the number of bits to be retransmitted according to the packet loss rate of the IP network as much as possible. By variably controlling the LDPC coding rate of the converted data, the packet loss rate of the IP line can be shared sequentially between transmission and reception, the number of retransmission requests can be reduced, and the transmission efficiency via the IP network can be improved. can. Further, by making both the error correction code used for broadcast reception and the error correction code used for transmission via the IP network the same as the code format of the error correction code standardized by the broadcasting standard, one error correction decoding is performed on the receiving side. This can be achieved simply by preparing a vessel, and the scale of the equipment can be reduced.
In particular, according to the present invention, when the transmission server shows a state in which the packet loss rate of the IP network acquired from the receiving device is lower than the bit error rate presumed in digital broadcasting, the transmission server is used for the
Further, according to one aspect of the present invention, the encoded data requested to be retransmitted from the receiving side to the transmitting side is retransmitted from the transmitting side to the receiving side as an encoded data packet of an IP packet string to which a sequence number is assigned. On the receiving side, the packet loss rate of the downlink (the line from the transmitting side to the receiving side) is measured based on the sequence number of the received IP packet. Then, the transmitting side variably controls the coding rate of the coded data to be retransmitted based on the packet loss rate. Therefore, it is possible to select the coding rate of the coded data to be retransmitted appropriately, rather than using the packet loss rate estimated by the test communication of the round-trip line between transmission and reception or the packet loss rate determined by the user setting, and via the IP rope. Transmission efficiency can be further improved.

The receiving
Further, the receiving

That is, the

The

The
The transmission data related to digital broadcasting can be, for example, MPEG2-TS described in ARIB STD-B31 and used in terrestrial digital broadcasting when transmitted via a terrestrial broadcasting transmission line, for example, a satellite broadcasting transmission line. When transmitting via the data, it can be TLV (Type Length Value) format data described in ARIB STD-B44 and used in advanced broadband satellite digital broadcasting.
In the current terrestrial digital broadcasting, error correction coding processing is performed using a convolutional code as an internal code and a Reed-Solomon code as an external code. In the next-generation terrestrial digital broadcasting, it is being studied to perform error correction coding processing with a concatenated code in which an LDPC code is used as an internal code and a BCH (Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem) code is used as an external code. Further, in advanced broadband satellite digital broadcasting, error correction coding processing is performed using a concatenated code in which an LDPC code is concatenated as an internal code and a BCH code is concatenated as an external code. In the following description, the transmission system 1 in which the error correction coding process is mainly performed by the concatenated code in which the LDPC code is concatenated as the internal code and the BCH code is concatenated as the external code will be described. When the LDPC code is used as the block code in the transmission system 1 of the embodiment described below, the "LDPC coding rate" is also simply referred to as the "coding rate".

The
The
The IP
When the retransmission
The coding
By the way, usually, in digital broadcasting, a plurality of types of selectable coding rates are defined in advance. For example, in ARIB STD-B44, among the LDPC codes which are block codes, 41/120 (≈1/3), 49/120 (≈2 / 5), 61/120 (≈1/2), 73/120 (≈) 3/5), 81/120 (≈2/3), 89/120 (≈3/4), 93/120 (≈7/9), 97/120 (≈4/5), 101/120 (≈4/5) Eleven types of coding rates of 5/6), 105/120 (≈7 / 8), and 109/120 (≈9 / 10) are specified, but in the transmission system 1 of the present embodiment, these are defined. An example is shown in which only eight types of coding rates in the first erasure correction performance table shown in Table 1 are used in the broadcast transmission line. On the other hand, regarding data retransmission via the
That is, in the
This is because when an Internet line is used as the
Therefore, the coding
For example, suppose that the coding rate F b of the coded data transmitted on the broadcast transmission line is 1/2. At this time, if the packet loss rate information of the

More specifically, when the switching

On the other hand, when the code rate

For example, when the coding rates of the transmission via the broadcast transmission line and the transmission via the

(Method of generating coded data when changing the code rate)
An example of generating coded data when the coding rate is changed will be described with reference to FIG. 4 (a) to 4 (d) conceptually show a method of generating coded data when the code rate is changed by the code rate
First, FIG. 4A conceptually shows the configuration of an error correction code frame of a block code indicating coded data transmitted on a broadcast transmission line.
Information on the coding rate of the coded data transmitted on the broadcast transmission line is usually transmitted by the TMCC signal, which is a transmission control signal in digital broadcasting, but is transmitted in advance from the
As shown in FIG. 4 (a), when the coding rate of the coded data in the block code having a code length N bits transmitted by the broadcast transmission path to F b, the information bits of the encoded data (i.e., the block code The main signal) is composed of N × F b bits, and the parity is composed of N × (1-F b ) bits. Normally, when a block code is used on a broadcast transmission line, the number of bits of the code length of the error correction code frame is often constant regardless of the coding rate so that it can be easily handled on the broadcast transmission line. For example, in ARIB STD-B44, the code length N of the LDPC code, which is a block code, is constant at N = 44880 bits regardless of the LDPC coding rate. Here, if the coding rate of the coded data to be retransmitted via the

On the other hand, the coding rate adaptively changing
Subsequently, the coding rate adaptation changing unit 64 sets the information bits of the N × F b bits read from the

(Method of generating coded data when changing the code rate of one embodiment)
As described above, usually, in digital broadcasting, a plurality of types of selectable coding rates are defined in advance, but here, they are predetermined to be used in the present transmission system 1 as shown in Tables 1 and 2. Eight types of LDPC coding rates are used, and for these eight types of LDPC coding rates, for example, the inspection matrix defined by ARIB STD-B44 and the inspection matrix initial value table for forming the inspection matrix can be used as they are. Therefore, as a more specific example, with reference to FIG. 5, the code at the time of changing the coding rate within the range of the number of types of LDPC coding rates shown in Tables 1 and 2 according to ARIB STD-B44. An example of generating the conversion data will be described.

As shown in FIG. 5A, here, the coding rate of the coded data in the LDPC code having a code length N = 44880 bits transmitted on the broadcast transmission line is set to F b = 61/120 (≈1/2). do. In ARIB STD-B44, one error correction code frame has a constant code length of 44880 bits regardless of the LDPC coding rate, and is composed of slot units based on the set division method. Therefore, the LDPC code is coded. As the information bits, the "slot header", "main signal (data to be transmitted)", "BCH code parity", and "stuff bit" are power-spread, and the parity of the LDPC code is It is added to form one error correction code frame. Then, in the
Therefore, the
The coding rate
On the other hand, the coding rate adaptively changing
Subsequently, the coding rate
Then, the error
In this way, when the
(How to generate a coded data packet)
The
More specifically, with reference to FIG. 6, a method of generating an IP packet of the IP
First, IP
Therefore, the IP
Subsequently, the IP
Subsequently, the IP
Further, as shown in FIG. 6B, one interleaved frame is composed of IP payloads for n packets generated from a plurality of error correction code frames. Therefore, if the IP
Subsequently, the IP
The IP
Further, although the IP packet is generated by collecting one bit from each error correction code frame, it is also possible to collect a plurality of bits from each error correction code frame. Conversely, it is possible to treat two frames of error correction code frames as one frame, or to generate 2n m-bit packets. The IP payload for n packets generated in this way is regarded as one interleaved frame, and an identification header for making each interleaved frame identifiable on the receiving
[Receiver]
FIG. 7 is a block diagram showing a schematic configuration of the receiving
The
The error
The error correction /
Here, the error
Then, the error
Then, the error correction /
Further, in this example, when the
When the error correction /
The IP

(Example: Reception control flow in a receiver of advanced broadband satellite digital broadcasting)
FIG. 8 is a flowchart showing a reception control flow of an embodiment in the receiving
First, the receiving
Subsequently, in order for the receiving
As described above, the error
Subsequently, the receiving
Therefore, the error correction /
Here, the error correction /
On the other hand, when the error
In response to the instruction from the error
Therefore, the
The receiving
Further, when the coding rate is changed, the
Then, the IP
When the coding rate of the coded data obtained via the
Subsequently, the error
Then, the error
By the way, as the retransmission request packet, a non-delivery notification packet generally used in the IP packet format can be used, and the encoded data packet is configured to perform retransmission in response to the non-delivery notification packet. Therefore, the error
(Measurement and notification of packet loss rate)
FIG. 9 is a diagram illustrating measurement and notification of a packet loss rate of an embodiment in the receiving
Then, the IP
Then, each time the packet loss
Further, the packet loss
Further, for example, when the IP packet string relating to the coded data having the code length n = 44880 has L = 11220 packets lost, the packet loss rate at this time is 11220/44880 × 100 = 25%. In this case, the retransmission request
According to the transmission system 1 of the present embodiment, for data loss that cannot be prevented only by broadcast reception, a retransmission request is made from the receiving
In particular, in the transmission system 1 of the present embodiment, the encoded data requested to be retransmitted from the receiving
In particular, according to the present embodiment, when the
(Variable control of padding bit insertion position according to coding rate)
In the examples shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 described above, the error
Therefore, in the present embodiment, the error
More specific examples are shown in FIGS. 10 and 11. FIG. 10 is a diagram showing the insertion position of the padding bit according to the coding rate, which changes the coding rate F b = 1/2 of the coded data transmitted on the broadcast transmission line from 3/5 to 9/10. Yes, FIG. 11 is a correspondence table.
In other words, figure 10 and 11, the coding rate F b = 1/2 of the encoded data transmitted by the broadcast transmission channel, the coding rate F i = 3 / 5,2 / 3,3 / 4,4 It shows the insertion position of the padding bit when changing to / 5,5 / 6,7 / 8,9 / 10 and retransmitting the coded data via the
Further, FIG. 12 is a diagram showing the insertion position of the padding bit according to the coding rate of 110/120 to 117/120, which is changed from the coding rate F b = 1/2 of the coded data transmitted on the broadcast transmission line. And FIG. 13 is a correspondence table thereof.
That is, FIG. 12 and FIG. 13, the coding rate F b = 1/2 of the encoded data transmitted by the broadcast transmission channel, the coding rate F i = 110 / 120,111 / 120,112 / 120,113 It shows the insertion position of the padding bit when changing to / 120, 114/120, 115/120, 116/120, 117/120 and retransmitting the coded data via the
In FIG 10 to FIG 13, but shows the number of bits when changing from a coding rate F b = 1/2 to another code rate F i, other coding rate F b (for example, 3 / 5), even when changing to a different coding rate F i, sorting method of the preceding padding bits Pd_f and subsequent padding bits Pd_r is similar, yet the number of bits of the previous padding bits Pd_f also encoding rate every fixed value As a result, the number of bits of the subsequent padding bit Pd_r may be adjusted according to the coding rate.
However, the example shown in FIGS. 10 to 13 was determined good insertion position of the padding bits of the erasure correction performance criteria when to change the encoding rate F b = 1/2 to another code rate F i since an example, encoding of all in combination, the distribution method of the preceding padding bits Pd_f and subsequent padding bits PD_R, and front padding bits Pd_f when changing from a coding rate F b to another code rate F i The number of bits to be a fixed value for each rate may be further optimized and determined.
(Evaluation method of erasure correction performance by padding position pattern)
Here, with reference to FIGS. 14 to 16, obtaining the excellent insertion position of the padding bits of the erasure correction performance criteria when to change the encoding rate F b = 1/2 to another code rate F i The simulation will be described. FIG. 14 is a diagram illustrating a method for evaluating erasure correction performance based on a pattern of padding positions of padding bits according to the present invention. Further, FIGS. 15 and 16 show the characteristics and the coding rate when the coding rate is changed from 1/2 to 3/4, respectively, as an evaluation of the erasure correction performance based on the padding position pattern of the padding bit according to the present invention. It is a figure which shows the characteristic at the time of changing from 1/2 to 110/120.
As shown in FIG. 14, first, a predetermined number of patterns of padding positions are prepared (step S31). Here, as shown in FIG. 12, 29 patterns of padding positions of P0-P28 when the coding rate is changed from 1/2 to 3/4 are shown.
That is, the simulation conditions are information bit i = 22814 bits, total padding bit Pd (Pd_f + Pd_r) = 10472 bits, parity bit p = 11594 bits, and the padding bit Pd is divided into 374 bit units, and an error correction code frame (LDPC) is used. The positions of the front-stage padding bit Pd_f located at the beginning of the frame) and the rear-stage padding bit Pd_r located after the information bit were adjusted.
Then, the case where the information bit i = 22814 bits, the front padding bit Pd_f = 0 bit, the rear padding bit Pd_r = 10472 bits, and the parity bit p = 11594 bits are arranged in this order is P0, the front padding bit Pd_f = 374 bits, and the information bit i. The case in which = 22814 bits, the subsequent padding bit Pd_r = 10098 bits, and the parity bit p = 11594 bits are arranged in this order is defined as P1, and up to P28 is also defined in the same manner.
Next, while changing the padding bits (pre-stage padding bit Pd_f and post-stage padding bit Pd_r) for each pattern of each padding position P0-P28, an interleaved frame is formed, and the transmission of the interleaved encoded data packet is burst-disappeared. A bit error rate (BER) is calculated by simulating a transmission line, and a simulation for finding a position where the BER can be reduced is executed (step S32). In the simulated burst loss transmission line, the packet loss rate is changed, and the number of packets corresponding to the set packet loss rate is lost in units of 8 packets. In addition, continuous packet loss was randomized by simulating transmission that interleaves / deinterleaves between transmission and reception.
In the simulation, a padding bit is inserted after deinterleaving for each pattern of each padding position P0-P28, and the simulation is repeated on the assumption that the same pattern is retransmitted until the erasure correction can be performed by error correction decoding. Bit error rate (BER) was measured.
FIG. 15 shows the BER calculation result of the pattern of each padding position P = P0-P28 when the packet loss rate is set to 30% when the coding rate is changed from 1/2 to 3/4. In FIG. 15, since the BER was the smallest at P2, the padding position capable of drawing out the erasure correction performance when the coding rate was changed from 1/2 to 3/4 was determined to be pattern P2. The same calculation was performed for other coding rates, and as shown in FIGS. 10 and 11, the insertion position of the padding bit was determined for each coding rate.
In addition, the same simulation is performed for the
In this way, it is possible to obtain an excellent insertion position of the padding bits of the erasure correction performance criteria when to change the encoding rate F b = 1/2 to another code rate F i, furthermore, reference numeral in all combinations when changing from rate F b to another code rate F i, sorting method of the preceding padding bits Pd_f and subsequent padding bits PD_R, and to optimize the number of bits fixed value of the previous padding bits Pd_f It can also be determined.
Then, as can be understood from the evaluation results illustrated in FIGS. 15 and 16, the error

The receiving
The IP
The packet loss
The delay of the communication line is the time difference between the transmission time of the retransmission request packet transmitted from the receiving
Further, the amount of packet loss generated is regarded as a packet loss when the corresponding encoded data packet cannot be received from the
That is, even in the receiving
