Description

The present invention relates to absorbent articles such as urine absorbing pads and disposable diapers containing activated carbon.

Absorbent articles such as urine absorbing pads and disposable diapers absorb excrement such as urine and feces excreted from the wearer, so technology to reduce the odor caused by excrement has been studied for a long time. There is.

And, in order to prevent the odor of excrement such as urine from leaking to the outside, an absorbent article containing a deodorant is known.
For example, Patent Document 1 describes an absorbent article containing a porous deodorant, wherein the porous deodorant has a pore volume of 20 to 200 Å in 1 g of the porous deodorant. An absorbent article having the pores so as to be 0.2 ml / g or more is disclosed. The absorbent article disclosed in Patent Document 1 is said to have an excellent deodorizing effect and do not leak the odor of excrement to the outside.

Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 2008-206997

However, as in the absorbent article disclosed in Patent Document 1, even if a certain deodorant effect can be obtained by simply containing a deodorant, the deodorant and the protein component in urine (mainly). Albumin) clogs between the constituent fibers of a fiber sheet (eg, core wrap sheet, etc.) that constitutes an absorbent article, or adheres to the surface of an absorbent core (particularly the surface of a super absorbent polymer (SAP)). There was a risk that excrement such as urine would be difficult to be absorbed by the absorption core (that is, absorption inhibition would occur).

Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide an absorbent article which has an excellent deodorizing effect but does not easily inhibit the absorption of excrement.

The absorbent article comprises activated carbon having a plurality of micropores having a pore diameter of 2 nm or less and a plurality of mesopores having a pore diameter of more than 2 nm and 50 nm or less, at least between the surface sheet and the absorbing core. It also has an activated carbon-containing fiber sheet that contains it.
The distance Dt between the constituent fibers of the non-woven fabric forming the surface sheet, the distance Dc between the constituent fibers of the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet, and the pore diameter Dm of the mesopores of the activated carbon satisfy the following relational expression (1). The absorbent article.

The absorbent article of this embodiment can adsorb the odor generated from excrement such as urine by the activated carbon in the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet, particularly the plurality of micropores of the activated carbon, and exhibits an excellent deodorizing effect. be able to.
Further, in the absorbent article of this embodiment, the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet is arranged at least between the surface sheet and the absorbing core, and the distance Dt between the constituent fibers of the non-woven fabric forming the surface sheet and the configuration of the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet. The interfiber distance Dc and the pore size Dm of the mesopores of the activated carbon are configured to satisfy the above relational expression (1), that is, permeate from the surface sheet toward the absorbent core in the thickness direction of the absorbent article. Since the flow path of the excrement to be produced is configured to be gradually narrowed and can function as a filtration filter, the excrement is gradually filtered as it permeates from the surface sheet toward the absorption core. While gradually removing protein components (mainly albumin) contained in excrement (specifically, between the constituent fibers of the non-woven fabric forming the surface sheet, between the constituent fibers of the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet, and in the mesopores of the activated carbon. Liquid components (mainly water) can be easily absorbed by the absorption core (while removing protein components of different sizes).
As described above, the absorbent article of this embodiment can have an excellent deodorizing effect, but can hardly cause inhibition of absorption of excrement.

Further, in another aspect (aspect 2) of the present invention, in the absorbent article of the above aspect 1, the activated carbon further has a plurality of macropores having a pore diameter larger than 50 nm in a volume of 0.1 cm 3 / g or more. It is characterized by that.

Since the absorbent article of this embodiment can adsorb a protein component having a size suitable for the macropores by a certain amount or more of macropores of activated carbon, the above-mentioned filtering action can be more accurately exhibited. It is possible to further reduce the inhibition of absorption of excrement.

In yet another aspect (aspect 3) of the present invention, in the absorbent article of aspect 2, the volume of the micropores is 2% to 20% with respect to the total volume of the entire pores, and the mesopores. The volume of the macropores is 40% to 80% with respect to the total volume of the entire pores, and the volume of the macropores is 10% to 50% with respect to the total volume of the entire pores.

In the absorbent article of this embodiment, the activated carbon has micropores, mesopores, and macropores in predetermined amounts, so that the odorous component and the protein component contained in the excrement can be adjusted according to the size of each. It can be adsorbed accurately, and the above-mentioned deodorizing effect and filtering action can be exhibited more accurately.

In still another aspect (aspect 4) of the present invention, in any of the absorbent articles of aspects 1 to 3, the activated carbon has a specific surface area of 10 m 2 / g or more by the nitrogen BET method, and the BJH method and MP. The volume of the pores according to the method is 0.1 cm 3 / g or more.

The absorbent article of this embodiment more reliably exerts the above-mentioned deodorizing effect and filtering action by having the activated carbon has a certain amount or more of pores satisfying the above-mentioned specific specific surface area and pore volume. In addition, since the activated carbon does not easily fall off from the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet, the above-mentioned deodorizing effect and filtering action can be more reliably exhibited.

In still another aspect (aspect 6) of the present invention, in the absorbent article according to any one of the above aspects 1 to 5, the activated carbon is formed from the skin-facing surface side to the non-skin-facing surface in the thickness direction of the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet. It is characterized in that it is contained in the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet so that the content ratio of the activated carbon having a relatively small particle size increases toward the side.

Since the absorbent article of this embodiment contains activated carbon so that the content ratio of activated carbon having a relatively small particle size increases as the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet moves toward the non-skin facing surface side, the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet is concerned. Even inside, the particles of activated carbon itself can function as one component of the filtration filter that brings about the above-mentioned filtration action, and the above-mentioned filtering action can be more reliably exerted.

In still another aspect (aspect 7) of the present invention, in any of the absorbent articles of aspects 1 to 6, the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet is a core wrap sheet that encloses the absorbent core.

Further, the absorbent article of this embodiment has an advantage that the odorous component generated from the excrement can be steadily adsorbed even after the excrement is absorbed by the absorption core.

In yet another aspect of the present invention (Aspect 8), in any of the absorbent articles of aspects 1-6, the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet is an intermediate sheet located between the surface sheet and the absorption core. It is characterized by being.

In the absorbent article of this embodiment, the above-mentioned activated carbon is contained in the intermediate sheet in which the excrement that has permeated the surface sheet temporarily stays, so that the contact opportunity and the contact time between the excrement and the activated carbon are secured at a certain level or more. Further, as shown in FIG. 1, the above-mentioned urine collecting pad 1 has an anterior region AF corresponding to the wearer's abdomen when worn and a posterior region corresponding to the wearer's back or buttocks when worn in the longitudinal direction L. It has an a B, and a central region a C corresponding to the crotch portion of the wearer to and in wearing position between these two regions. In the present specification, in the longitudinal direction L of the urine collecting pad 1, the proximal side relative to the wearer's abdomen when worn is referred to as the anterior side, and is relative to the wearer's back or buttocks when worn. The proximal side may be referred to as the posterior side.

Further, the urine absorbing pad 1, as shown in FIG. 2, in the thickness direction T, a liquid permeable topsheet 2 made of the position to and nonwoven to the skin facing side S 1 of the urine absorbing pad 1, urine a liquid impermeable back sheet 3 positioned at the non-skin facing side S 2 of the pad 1, the absorber 4 having arranged absorbent between these two sheets, the width direction W of the urine absorbing pad 1 a pair of side sheets 5 and 5 which are arranged to extend in a position to and longitudinally L to the skin facing side S 1 of the topsheet 2 at both ends provided with a main component, further, the absorption The body 4 is composed of an absorbent core 41 formed of a water-absorbent material such as a super absorbent polymer (SAP) or a hydrophilic fiber, and a core wrap sheet 42 that wraps the absorbent core 41 and is composed of a specific fiber sheet described later. It is configured.

Then, in the urine absorbing pad 1 of the present embodiment, the core wrap sheet 42 wrapping the above-mentioned absorption core 41 has a plurality of micropores having a pore diameter of 2 nm or less and a plurality of meso having a pore diameter larger than 2 nm and 50 nm or less. The distance Dt between the constituent fibers of the non-woven fabric formed by the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet containing activated carbon having pores and further forming the surface sheet 2 and the distance Dc between the constituent fibers of the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet. The pore diameter Dm of the mesopores of the activated carbon is configured to satisfy the following relational expression (1).

As described above, the urine absorbing pad 1 of the present embodiment includes the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet containing the above-mentioned specific activated carbon as the core wrap sheet 42, so that the activated carbon in the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet, particularly the activated carbon, is provided. The odor generated from excrement such as urine can be adsorbed by the plurality of micropores of the above, and an excellent deodorizing effect can be exhibited.
Further, in this urine absorbing pad 1, the above-mentioned activated carbon-containing fiber sheet is arranged as a core wrap sheet 42 between the surface sheet 2 and the absorption core 41, and the distance between constituent fibers of the non-woven fabric forming the surface sheet 2 is Dt. The distance Dc between the constituent fibers of the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet and the pore diameter Dm of the mesopores of the activated carbon are configured to satisfy the above relational expression (1), that is, in the thickness direction T of the urine absorbing pad 1. Since the flow path of the excrement that permeates from the surface sheet 2 toward the absorption core 41 is configured to be gradually narrowed and can function as a filtration filter, the excrement moves from the surface sheet 2 to the absorption core 41. As it permeates toward the surface, it is gradually filtered to gradually remove protein components (mainly albumin) contained in the excrement (specifically, between the constituent fibers of the non-woven fabric forming the surface sheet 2). Liquid components (mainly water) can be easily absorbed by the absorption core 41 while removing protein components of different sizes between the constituent fibers of the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet and in the mesopores of the activated carbon.
As a result, the urine collecting pad 1 can have an excellent deodorizing effect, but can hardly cause inhibition of absorption of excrement.

Further, in the urine collecting pad 1, since the core wrap sheet 42 that wraps the absorption core 41 contains the above-mentioned activated carbon, the activated carbon is used for excrement that permeates the absorption core 41 in the thickness direction T. Can be more reliably contacted, and the above-mentioned filtering action can be exerted until just before the excrement reaches the absorption core 41.
Further, the urine collecting pad 1 has an advantage that even after the excrement is absorbed by the absorption core 41, the odorous component generated from the excrement can be steadily adsorbed.

In the absorbent article of the present invention, the above-mentioned activated carbon-containing fiber sheet does not necessarily have to be a core wrap sheet as described later, and at least a constituent member (for example,) arranged between the surface sheet and the absorbent core (for example). It may be an intermediate sheet or the like).

Hereinafter, various members constituting the absorbent article of the present invention will be described in more detail using the urine absorbing pad 1 according to the above-described embodiment.

Such topsheet 2, as shown in FIG. 2, it is disposed at a position relatively skin-facing side S 1 in the thickness direction T of the urine absorbing pad 1, the contact surface that may contact the wearer's skin when worn That is, it is formed of a liquid-permeable non-woven fabric that forms the skin-facing surface of the urine absorbing pad 1 and functions to allow excrement such as urine discharged from the wearer to permeate to the non-skin-facing surface side. ..

In the present invention, the outer shape of the surface sheet is not limited to such an aspect, as long as it can cover the surface of the absorber on the skin-facing surface side at least in the central region so as not to be exposed. Any shape and size can be adopted according to various uses and usage modes.

Not limited, for example, non-woven fabrics such as spunbonded non-woven fabrics, air-through non-woven fabrics, spunlaced non-woven fabrics, point-bonded non-woven fabrics formed by hydrophilic fibers; hydrophilic on the surface of non-woven fabrics formed by hydrophobic fibers such as thermoplastic resin fibers. Any non-woven fabric such as treated non-woven fabric can be adopted. Further, the type of constituent fibers of the non-woven fabric is not particularly limited, and for example, hydrophilic fibers such as cellulosic fibers and thermoplastic resin fibers subjected to a hydrophilic treatment can be used. These fibers may be used alone or in combination of two or more kinds of fibers.

Further, examples of the cellulosic fibers that can be used as the constituent fibers of the non-woven fabric include natural cellulose fibers (for example, plant fibers such as cotton), regenerated cellulose fibers, purified cellulose fibers, and semi-synthetic cellulose fibers.
Examples of the thermoplastic resin fibers that can be used as the constituent fibers of the non-woven fabric include olefin resins such as polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP), polyester resins such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and polyamides such as 6-nylon. Examples thereof include fibers made of known thermoplastic resins such as based resins. These resins may be used alone or in combination of two or more kinds of resins.

However, in the present invention, the non-woven fabric forming the surface sheet needs to satisfy the above-mentioned relational expression (1) in the distance Dt between the constituent fibers.
Here, the distance between the constituent fibers of the non-woven fabric or the fiber sheet can be measured by using a magnifying observation means such as a microscope.

r=2×(A/π)1/2 ・・・(2)
Specifically, it can be measured as follows.
(1) A non-woven fabric or fiber sheet to be measured is cut into a quadrangular shape having a predetermined size (for example, 5 cm square) to prepare a sample for measurement.
(2) Using the 3D image connection function of a microscope (VHX-2000 manufactured by KEYENCE, lens VH-Z20W aperture open), a 200x magnified image in which the focal point is aligned from the surface of the prepared sample to a depth of 100 μm is obtained. After that, the outside of the fibers that are in focus is extracted based on the enlarged image, and the surface formed there is used as the fiber space.
(3) The area occupied by the fiber space is determined by using the area measurement function of the microscope. At this time, an arbitrary place of the sample is arbitrarily selected, and the area of the fiber space in the selected range is measured at 100 places.
(4) From the area A [fiber space area (average value)] per fiber space in the above selected range, the fiber space diameter r (μm) is obtained by the following formula (2), and the fiber space diameter r is calculated. The distance between fibers, that is, the distance between constituent fibers of the non-woven fabric forming the surface sheet Dt (μm) or the distance between constituent fibers of the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet Dc (μm).
r = 2 × (A / π) 1/2 ... (2)

Further, the structure of the non-woven fabric forming the surface sheet in the present invention is not particularly limited as long as the effect of the present invention is not impaired, and even if it has an overall flat sheet-like structure, it extends in the longitudinal direction or the width direction. When the non-woven fabric has such a concavo-convex structure, each of the plurality of ridges in the concavo-convex structure may have a solid internal structure or a hollow internal structure.

Further, an arbitrary agent such as a plant-derived extract or a skin care agent may be applied to the surface of the surface sheet on the skin-facing surface side, and the non-skin-facing surface side of the surface sheet may be coated with a book described later. Any hydrophobic fiber such as a composite fiber such as, etc. can be used, and these fibers may be used alone or in combination of two or more kinds of fibers.

Further, the structure of the sheet-like member that can be used as the back surface sheet is not particularly limited, and even if it has an overall flat sheet-like structure, it is provided with a plurality of ridges and grooves extending in the longitudinal direction or the width direction. It may have a concavo-convex structure (for example, a concavo-convex structure having a corrugated cross-sectional shape).

Further, an adhesive portion for adhesively fixing the absorbent article to the inner surface of the wearer's underwear or the like may be arranged on the surface of the back sheet on the non-skin facing surface side, and may be absorbed with the back sheet.
[Absorber]
In the above-mentioned urine absorbing pad 1, as shown in FIG. 1, the absorber 4 is viewed in a plan view in the anterior region AF of the urine absorbing pad 1 (more specifically, near the anterior side edge in the longitudinal direction L). ) To the posterior region AB (more specifically, near the posterior side edge of the longitudinal direction L), which extends over a wide area of the longitudinal direction L and one side edge of the width direction W of the urine collecting pad 1. It extends to a wide range of areas in the width direction W over near the other side edge from the vicinity, further portion corresponding to the central region a C of the longitudinal direction L is constricted toward the widthwise inner side, substantially hourglass It has an outer shape of the shape.

In the present invention, the outer shape of the absorber is not limited to such an embodiment, and is a vertically long shape whose longitudinal length is at least longer than the longitudinal length of the central region of the absorbent article. Any shape (for example, rectangular shape, oval shape, gourd shape, etc.) and size according to various uses, usage modes, etc. can be adopted.

Further, in the above-mentioned urine absorbing pad 1, as shown in FIG. 2, the absorber 4 is arranged between the front surface sheet 2 and the back surface sheet 3 in the thickness direction T of the urine absorbing pad 1, and is a front surface sheet. It is formed by a predetermined water-absorbing member capable of absorbing and retaining excrement such as urine of the wearer who has permeated 2. Specifically, the absorbent body 4 encloses the absorbent core 41 formed of a water-absorbent material such as a super absorbent polymer (SAP) or a hydrophilic fiber, and the specific fiber sheet (that is, the above-mentioned specific fiber sheet) (that is, the above-mentioned specific fiber sheet). , Activated carbon-containing fiber sheet), and a core wrap sheet 42.

(Absorption core)
In the above-mentioned urine absorbing pad 1, the absorption core 41 is formed of a water-absorbent material such as SAP or hydrophilic fiber, and its shape is maintained by being at least partially covered with a hydrophilic core wrap sheet. ing.

In the present invention, the water-absorbent material forming the absorption core is not particularly limited as long as it can absorb and retain excrement such as urine, and a water-absorbent material known in the art can be used. Examples of such a water-absorbent material include SAP and hydrophilic fibers, and more specifically, granules made of a super absorbent polymer (SAP) such as sodium acrylate copolymer; crushed pulp, cotton, and the like. Cellulose-based fibers such as rayon and acetate; a mixture of any combination of these fibers can be mentioned.

(Core wrap sheet)
In the above-mentioned urine absorbing pad 1, the core wrap sheet 42 contains activated carbon having a plurality of micropores having a pore diameter of 2 nm or less and a plurality of mesopores having a pore diameter of more than 2 nm and 50 nm or less. , It is formed of an activated carbon-containing fiber sheet, and further, the distance Dc between the constituent fibers of the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet is configured to satisfy the above-mentioned relational expression (1).

When the core wrap sheet 42 is composed of such an activated carbon-containing fiber sheet, the activated carbon can be more reliably brought into contact with the excrement that permeates the absorption core 41 in the thickness direction T. In addition, the above-mentioned filtering action can be exerted until just before the excrement reaches the absorption core 41. Further, there is an advantage that the odorous component generated from the excrement can be steadily adsorbed even after the excrement is absorbed by the absorption core 41.

The activated carbon-containing fiber sheet that can be used as such a core wrap sheet will be described later, but forming the core wrap sheet from the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet is not an essential constituent requirement for the absorbent article of the present invention. Therefore, the core wrap sheet does not have to be formed of such an activated carbon-containing fiber sheet. In that case, the core wrap sheets known hydrophilic fiber sheet (e.g. in the art, a bleached softwood kraft pulp was formed as the main raw material, basis weight of 10.0g / m 2 ~15.0g / m 2 about Tissue, etc.) can be used.

Further, in the present invention, if the absorbent core can retain its shape by means other than the core wrap sheet (for example, an adhesive or the like) or only by a water-absorbent material, such a core wrap sheet is provided. It does not have to be.

In the present invention, the basis weight, thickness, etc. of the absorber (that is, the absorption core and the core wrap sheet) are not particularly limited as long as the effects of the present invention are not impaired, and the desired absorption performance, flexibility, and the like are satisfied. Any basis weight, thickness, etc. can be adopted.

Hereinafter, the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet that can be used in the absorbent article of the present invention will be described in more detail.

[Activated carbon-containing fiber sheet]
In the present invention, the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet is a liquid-permeable sheet-like member arranged at least between the surface sheet and the absorption core, and has a plurality of micropores having a pore diameter of 2 nm or less and a pore diameter of more than 2 nm and 50 nm. It contains a specific activated carbon having the following multiple mesopores, and further, the distance Dc between the constituent fibers of the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet and the pore diameter Dm of the mesopores of the activated carbon are the above-mentioned relational expression (1). ) Is configured to satisfy.

Since the absorbent article of the present invention is provided with such an activated carbon-containing fiber sheet, the activated carbon in the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet, particularly the odor generated from excrement such as urine due to the plurality of micropores of the activated carbon. It can be adsorbed and can exert an excellent deodorizing effect.
Further, in the absorbent article of the present invention, the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet is arranged at least between the surface sheet and the absorbing core, and the distance Dt between the constituent fibers of the non-woven fabric forming the surface sheet and the configuration of the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet Since the interfiber distance Dc and the pore diameter Dm of the mesopores of the activated carbon are configured to satisfy the above-mentioned relational expression (1), the surface sheet is directed toward the absorbent core in the thickness direction of the absorbent article. Since the flow path of the permeated excrement gradually narrows and can function as a filtration filter, the excrement is gradually filtered as it permeates from the surface sheet toward the absorption core and is contained in the excrement. It is possible to facilitate the absorption of the liquid component into the absorption core while gradually removing the protein component.

In the present invention, the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet is not particularly limited as long as it is a fiber sheet containing activated carbon having the specific pores, and is, for example, on the fiber sheet as a base material and on the surface and / or inside of the fiber sheet. It can be composed of activated carbon having the above-mentioned specific pores to be dispersed.

(Fiber sheet)
In the present invention, the fiber sheet that can be used as the base material of the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet has various characteristics according to various constituent members (for example, core wrap sheet, intermediate sheet, etc.) of the absorbent article to which the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet is applied. It is not particularly limited as long as it is provided with, for example, a tissue or non-woven fabric made of hydrophilic fibers such as pulp fibers (for example, air-through non-woven fabric, spunlace non-woven fabric, spunbond non-woven fabric, point-bond non-woven fabric, etc.), woven fabric, knitted fabric. And so on.

The type of constituent fibers of the fiber sheet is not particularly limited, and is hydrophilic to, for example, cellulose-based fibers such as pulp fibers and thermoplastic resin fibers (for example, olefin-based resins such as polyethylene and polypropylene, polyester-based resins such as polyethylene terephthalate, etc.). Examples thereof include fibers such as hydrophilic fibers that have been subjected to chemical treatment. These fibers may be used alone or in combination of two or more kinds of fibers.

Further, as the outer shape, various dimensions, basis weight, etc. of the fiber sheet, any outer shape, various dimensions, basis weight, etc. can be adopted according to various constituent members of the absorbent article to which the fiber sheet is applied. .. For example, (except for activated carbon.) The basis weight of the fiber sheet, in terms of and difficulty like the dropping of the activated carbon, preferably a basis weight in the range 10g / m 2 ~50g / m 2 , 12g / m 2 ~ Basis weight within the range of 35 g / m 2 is more preferable. Such basis weight can be measured according to 5.2 of JIS L 1906.

However, the fiber sheet needs to satisfy the above-mentioned relational expression (1) in the distance Dt between the constituent fibers as the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet. The distance between the constituent fibers of the fiber sheet can be measured in the same manner as the distance between the constituent fibers of the non-woven fabric forming the surface sheet described above.

Further, the manufacturing method of the fiber sheet is not particularly limited, and the fiber sheet can be manufactured by a known manufacturing method such as a dry or wet papermaking method, a dry or wet entanglement method, or a manufacturing method using a loom or a knitting machine. Among these manufacturing methods, the wet papermaking method and the wet entanglement method (water flow entanglement method) are preferable because the activated carbon can be easily dispersed evenly inside the fiber sheet. In addition, these manufacturing methods can be carried out according to a conventional method.

(Activated carbon)
In the present invention, the activated carbon constituting the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet together with the fiber sheet as the base material can physically adsorb odorous components generated from excrement such as urine, and has a plurality of micropores having a pore size of 2 nm or less. It is a granular material having a porous structure having at least a plurality of mesopores having a pore diameter of more than 2 nm and 50 nm or less, which can physically adsorb the protein component contained in the excrement. Such activated carbon is arranged so as to be substantially evenly dispersed on the surface and / or inside of the fiber sheet as the above-mentioned base material. The means for dispersing the activated carbon in the fiber sheet is not particularly limited, and the activated carbon may be dispersed when the fiber sheet is formed, or the activated carbon is applied to the surface and / or inside of the fiber sheet after the fiber sheet is formed. It may be dispersed. Further, when the activated carbon is dispersed in the fiber sheet, a binder for fixing the activated carbon to the constituent fibers of the fiber sheet may be added.

Further, in the present invention, it is preferable that the activated carbon further has a plurality of macropores having a pore diameter larger than 50 nm in a volume of 0.1 cm 3 / g or more. If the activated carbon has a certain amount or more of macropores having such a large pore diameter in addition to the above-mentioned micropores and mesopores, a protein component having a size suitable for the macropores may be adsorbed. Therefore, the above-mentioned filtering action can be more accurately exerted, and the inhibition of absorption of excrement can be further reduced.

The pore diameter and volume of various pores in activated carbon are determined by JIS Z 8831-2 (Pore diameter distribution and pore characteristics of powder (solid) -Part 2: Method for measuring mesopores and macropores by gas adsorption. ) And JIS Z 8831-3 (Pore diameter distribution and pore characteristics of powder (solid) -Part 3: Method for measuring micropores by gas adsorption).

Further, in the present invention, in the activated carbon, the volume of the micropores is 2% to 20% with respect to the total volume of the entire pores, and the volume of the mesopores is 40% to 40% with respect to the total volume of the entire pores. It is 80%, and the volume of the macropores is preferably 10% to 50% with respect to the total volume of the entire pores.
When the activated carbon has micropores, mesopores, and macropores in the above-mentioned specific quantities, the odorous components and protein components contained in the excrement can be accurately adsorbed according to the respective sizes. Therefore, the above-mentioned deodorizing effect and filtering action can be more accurately exhibited. Examples of the protein component contained in excrement such as urine include type IV collagen and the like in addition to the above-mentioned albumin.

Further, in the present invention, it is preferable that the activated carbon has a specific surface area of 10 m 2 / g or more by the nitrogen BET method and a pore volume of 0.1 cm 3 / g or more by the BJH method and the MP method. When the activated carbon has a certain amount or more of pores satisfying such a specific specific surface area and pore volume, the above-mentioned deodorizing effect and filtering action can be more reliably exhibited.

The nitrogen BET method is a widely known method for measuring the specific surface area of fine particles and powders, and is measured according to, for example, JIS Z 8830 (method for measuring the specific surface area of powders (solids) by gas adsorption). Can be done.
The BJH method and the BP method are also widely known methods for measuring the pore size distribution and pore volume of fine particles and powders, respectively. For example, the method described in JIS Z 8831-2 14.3.2. And RS Mikhail, S. Brunauer and EEBodor, J. Collid Interface Sci. 26 (1968).

In the present invention, the particle size of the activated carbon is not particularly limited as long as the effect of the present invention is not impaired, but it is preferable that the average particle size Dp of the activated carbon is larger than the distance Dc between the constituent fibers of the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet. When the average particle size Dp of the activated carbon is larger than the distance Dc between the constituent fibers of the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet, the particles of the activated carbon itself can function as one component of the filtration filter that brings about the above-mentioned filtering action, and the activated carbon is the activated carbon. Since it is difficult to fall off from the contained fiber sheet, the above-mentioned deodorizing effect and filtering action can be more reliably exhibited.

The average particle size and particle size distribution of activated carbon shall be measured using a laser diffraction / scattering particle size distribution measuring device (for example, LA-920 manufactured by HORIBA, Ltd.) under the following predetermined conditions. Can be done.
-Measurement cell: Flow cell-Particle size standard: Volume-Dispersion medium: 90% by mass ethanol aqueous solution-Transmittance: 70-90%
-Sample concentration: 0.1%

Further, in the present invention, the method for producing activated carbon is not particularly limited as long as it can obtain activated carbon having at least the above-mentioned plurality of micropores and mesopores, and for example, a plant-derived raw material is used at 800 ° C. to 1400 ° C. A carbonization step of carbonizing at the temperature of, and a step of treating the carbonized activated carbon precursor with an acid (for example, a fluorine compound such as hydrogen fluoride or hydrofluoric acid) or an alkali (for example, sodium hydroxide). A manufacturing method including a heat treatment using a gas such as oxygen or water vapor as an activator or an activation treatment step of activating by a chemical treatment using a chemical such as zinc chloride, hydrofluoric acid, or sulfuric acid as an activator. Can be mentioned.
In such a production method, before the carbonization step, a preheat treatment step of heating the plant-derived raw material at a temperature lower than that of the carbonization step or an alcohol treatment of immersing the plant-derived raw material in alcohol (for example, methanol, ethanol, etc.) The process may be performed.

The plant-derived raw material that can be used as a raw material for the activated charcoal is not particularly limited as long as the activated charcoal having at least the above-mentioned plurality of micropores and mesopores can be obtained. Plants such as barley, straw, stem wakame, vascular plant, fern plant, moss plant, algae, and seaweed can be mentioned, and these plants may be used alone or in combination of two or more.

Further, the particle form of the activated carbon is not particularly limited as long as the effect of the present invention is not impaired, and the particle form may be powdery, granular, granular or the like, or may be a fibrous particle form.

Further, in the present invention, the content of activated carbon in the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet is not particularly limited as long as the effect of the present invention is not impaired. It is 0.0% by mass or less, preferably 4.0% by mass or more and 8.0% by mass or less.

Further, in the present invention, the activated carbon contains the activated carbon having a relatively small particle size as the thickness of the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet increases from the skin-facing surface side to the non-skin-facing surface side. It is preferably contained in the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet.
When the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet contains activated carbon so that the content ratio of the activated carbon having a relatively small particle size increases toward the non-skin facing surface side, the particles of the activated carbon are also contained in the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet. Since it can function as a component of the filtration filter that brings about the above-mentioned filtration action, the above-mentioned filtering action can be more reliably exerted.

The content ratio of activated carbon in the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet can be measured according to the following measuring method.
(1) The activated carbon-containing fiber sheet to be measured is cut into a predetermined size (for example, 10 mm × 10 mm) and used as a measurement sample.
(2) The cut surface parallel to the thickness direction of the measurement sample is magnified and observed using a scanning electron microscope (JCM-5100, manufactured by JEOL Ltd.). At this time, the magnification is such that the number of activated carbon particles having different particle sizes can be measured on the same screen (for example, 150 times to 500 times).
(3) In the enlarged observation region, the number of activated carbons for each particle size is measured along the thickness direction of the measurement sample. This measurement may be performed visually.
(4) The content ratio of activated carbon for each particle size is calculated by dividing the measured number of activated carbons for each particle size by the total number of activated carbons in the enlarged observation region.
If the relative magnitude relationship of the activated carbon content ratio is clear from the magnified observation of the cut surface parallel to the thickness direction of the measurement sample, the activated carbon content ratio for each of the various particle sizes described above is used. You don't have to ask.

The means for dispersing the activated carbon in the thickness direction in the fiber sheet so as to satisfy the above-mentioned magnitude relationship of the content ratio is not particularly limited, but for example, the average particle size is different when or after the fiber sheet is formed. The activated carbon may be dispersed so as to satisfy the magnitude relationship of the content ratio as described above, or the content ratio of the activated carbon may be adjusted by dispersing all the activated carbon inside the fiber sheet and then applying vibration or the like. ..

As described above, the use of the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet as the core wrap sheet of the absorbent body is not an indispensable constituent requirement for the absorbent article of the present invention. Therefore, the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet is the surface sheet and the absorbent core. It may be a component other than the core wrap sheet (for example, an intermediate sheet or the like) located between them.

Hereinafter, another embodiment of the present invention in which the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet is applied to an intermediate sheet located between the surface sheet and the absorption core will be described.
Here, FIG. 3 is an end view corresponding to FIG. 2 in the urine collecting pad 1'according to another embodiment of the present invention. In this other embodiment, the configuration other than the configuration different from the above-described embodiment is basically the same as that of the above-described embodiment, and thus the description thereof will be omitted.

Urine absorbing pad 1 'shown in FIG. 3, in the thickness direction T, the urine absorbing pad 1' and the liquid-permeable topsheet 2 made of the position to and nonwoven to the skin facing side S 1 of the urine absorbing pad 1 ' a non-skin facing side S 2 is located at the liquid-impermeable backsheet 3, an absorbent body 4 having an arrangement water-absorbent between these two sheets, positioned between the topsheet 2 and the absorbent body 4 the intermediate sheet 6 made of a nonwoven fabric having a predetermined liquid diffusibility and liquid permeability, the urine absorbing pad 1 width direction W position is and the longitudinal direction L on the skin facing side S 1 of the topsheet 2 at both end portions of the ' A pair of side sheets 5 and 5 arranged so as to extend to the urine are provided as main constituent members, and the absorber 4 includes an absorption core 41 formed of a water-absorbent material and the absorption core 41. It is composed of a core wrap sheet 42'which is made of a hydrophilic fiber sheet (for example, tissue or the like) which wraps and is formed of hydrophilic fibers.

In the urine collecting pad 1', the intermediate sheet 6 is formed of an activated carbon-containing fiber sheet containing activated carbon having the above-mentioned plurality of micropores and mesopores.
Also in this urine absorbing pad 1', the distance Dt between the constituent fibers of the non-woven fabric forming the surface sheet 2, the distance Dc between the constituent fibers of the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet forming the intermediate sheet 6, and the mesopores of the activated carbon. The pore diameter Dm is configured to satisfy the above-mentioned relational expression (1).

As described above, the urine collecting pad 1'is provided with the above-mentioned specific activated carbon-containing fiber sheet as the intermediate sheet 6 located between the surface sheet 2 and the absorption core 41, so that the excrement that has permeated the surface sheet 2 can be collected. In the intermediate sheet 6 that temporarily stays, the contact opportunity and contact time between the excrement and the activated carbon can be secured to a certain level or more, and the above-mentioned deodorizing effect and filtering action can be more reliably exhibited.

In the urine collecting pad 1', the intermediate sheet 6 extends from the front side edge to the rear side edge of the urine collecting pad 1'in the longitudinal direction L, and is vertically long, which is smaller in the width direction than the surface sheet 2. However, in the present invention, the outer shape of the intermediate sheet is not limited to such an aspect, and covers at least a part of the surface of the absorber on the skin-facing surface side. Any shape and size according to various uses, usage modes, etc. can be adopted as long as it can be used.

Further, since the use of the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet as the intermediate sheet is not an essential constituent requirement for the absorbent article of the present invention, the activated carbon-containing fiber sheet is used for other constituent members other than the intermediate sheet (for example, the above-described implementation). When used for a core wrap sheet or the like as in the form), a sheet-like member known in the art can be used as the intermediate sheet.

The sheet-like member that can be used as such an intermediate sheet is not particularly limited as long as the effect of the present invention is not impaired. Or woven fabric, a composite sheet in which these are laminated, or the like can be used.

The thickness, basis weight, etc. of the intermediate sheet are not particularly limited as long as they have a predetermined liquid permeability (preferably, both liquid diffusivity and liquid permeability), and the desired absorption performance and desired absorption performance can be obtained. Any thickness, basis weight, etc. can be adopted according to the flexibility and the like.

In addition to the urine absorbing pads of each embodiment described above, the present invention can be applied to various absorbent articles such as disposable diapers, sanitary napkins, panty liners, and (light) incontinence pads. In addition, the absorbent article of the present invention can be appropriately combined, substituted, modified, or the like without being limited to the above-mentioned embodiments and the like, as long as the object and purpose of the present invention are not deviated.
