Description

The present invention relates to a conductive cloth connector. In particular, it is a connector for a conductive cloth that can be electrically connected to a conductive cloth containing conductive fibers, and is a conductive cloth that can be worn to connect a biological signal of a human body to an external device. Regarding the structure of the connector.

In recent years, electronic devices worn on the body, so-called wearable devices, have been developed. For example, it is expected to develop a wearable device that can easily obtain biological signals such as the wearer's movement and pulse by wearing a conductive cloth containing conductive fibers on the human body.

In order to electrically connect the conductive cloth containing such conductive fibers to an external electronic device, it is necessary to electrically and physically connect the conductive cloth and the electric wire with a connector. However, there is a concern that the conductive cloth may be damaged due to excessive stress acting on the conductive fibers due to the deformation of the conductive cloth due to the movement of the wearer of the conductive cloth. It was.

For this reason, even if the conductive cloth is deformed due to the movement of the wearer, excessive stress does not act on the conductive fibers, so that it is difficult to break and the conductive cloth is conductive. A conductive cloth connector that can be easily attached to and detached from a cloth and an electric wire is disclosed (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

10A and 10B are views showing the configuration of a conductive cloth connector according to an embodiment of the prior art, FIG. 10A is a perspective disassembled assembly view of the conductive cloth connector, and FIG. 10B is a perspective disassembled assembly drawing. 10 (C), a bottom view of the conductive cloth connector, is a perspective showing a modified example of the conductive cloth connector shown in FIG. 10 (A). Note that FIG. 10 of the present application corresponds to FIG. 17 of Patent Document 1.

Referring to FIG. 10, the conductive cloth connector (hereinafter, abbreviated as a connector) 9 according to an embodiment of the prior art can electrically connect the conductive fiber Fc and the electric wire W. The connector 9 has a strip-shaped contact portion 91, a crimping portion 92 formed at the base end portion of the contact portion 91, and a plurality of projecting pieces 93 protruding from both ends of the contact portion 91. The connector 9 further includes a strip-shaped plate 94.

With reference to FIG. 10A, the contact portion 91 can be brought into contact with the conductive fiber Fc formed on the surface Sa of the cloth body C. Referring to FIG. 10B, the crimping portion 92 can be electrically connected to the electric wire W by crimping the core wire Wc exposed to the terminal of the electric wire W. The illustrated electric wire W is covered with an insulating coating Wi.

With reference to FIG. 10A, the projecting piece 93 can penetrate from the front surface Sa of the cloth body C toward the back surface Sb. The plate 94 forms a plurality of slit-shaped openings 94h into which the projecting pieces 93 can be introduced.

When fixing the connector 9 to the cloth body C with reference to FIG. 10A, the contact portion 91 is arranged above the conductive fiber Fc, and the plate 94 is arranged on the back surface Sb side of the cloth body C. Next, the projecting piece 93 is penetrated from the front surface Sa of the cloth body C toward the back surface Sb, and the projecting piece 93 is introduced into the opening 94h of the plate 94.

Next, with reference to FIG. 10B, the projecting piece 93 penetrating the plate 94 is bent at a substantially right angle. As a result, the connector 9 can be fixed to the cloth body C in a state where the contact portion 91 of the connector 9 is in contact with the conductive fiber Fc and the plate 94 is in close contact with the back surface Sb side of the cloth body C. Then, by crimping the end of the electric wire W to the crimping portion 92, the conductive fiber Fc and the electric wire W can be electrically connected.

Further, referring to FIG. 10C, in the connector 90 according to the modified example, the base end portion of the contact portion 91 and one end portion of the plate 95 are integrated. In the modified example shown in FIG. 10C, the contact portion 91 and the plate 95 are connected in a V shape at one end of each other. As shown by an arrow in the figure, the plate 95 can be bent and used with one end of the plate 95 as a fulcrum. As a result, the cloth body C can be sandwiched between the contact portion 91 and the plate 95, and the projecting piece 93 can be introduced into the opening 95h of the plate 95.

In the connector 9 according to Patent Document 1, the contact portion 91 arranged on the front surface Sa side of the cloth body C and the plate 94 arranged on the back surface Sb side of the cloth body C are physically fixed by the projecting pieces 93. It is said that the connector 9 can be stably fixed to the cloth body C, and a stable electrical connection can be obtained even for a plurality of conductive fibers Fc. In addition, the fixing strength of the connector 9 to the cloth body C can be increased.

However, the cloth body C containing the conductive fiber Fc does not always express the conductive fiber Fc on the surface Sa of the cloth body C. In the conductive cloth, the conductive fibers Fc are generally exposed on the front surface Sa and the back surface Sb of the cloth body C.

Further, the conductive cloth body containing the conductive fiber Fc has a predetermined thickness. According to Patent Document 1, the connector 9 can be fixed to the cloth C by sandwiching the cloth C between the contact portion 91 and the plate 95 and bending the projecting piece 93, but the contact resistance with the conductive fiber Fc There is a problem that no consideration is given to the relationship with the amount of crushing in the thickness direction of the conductive cloth.

If a conductive cloth containing conductive fibers is sandwiched between two conductive terminal plates and the pressure of these terminal boards on the conductive cloth is increased, the contact resistance with the conductive fibers can be reduced. However, there is a problem that the conductive cloth is easily damaged.

There is a demand for a connector for a conductive cloth that can be electrically and appropriately and stably electrically connected to the conductive cloth containing the conductive fiber without damaging the conductive cloth containing the conductive fiber. The above can be said to be the subject of the present invention.

The present invention has been made in view of such a problem, and an object of the present invention is to provide a connector for a conductive cloth that can be electrically and appropriately and stably electrically connected to a conductive cloth containing conductive fibers.
Hereinafter, embodiments for carrying out the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[First Embodiment]
(Construction of connector for conductive cloth)
First, the configuration of the conductive cloth connector according to the first embodiment of the present invention will be described. In addition, since the components having the same reference numerals as those used in the prior art have the same action, the following description may be omitted.

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, the conductive cloth connector (hereinafter, abbreviated as connector) 10 according to the first embodiment of the present invention is a conductive cloth in which the conductive fiber Fc is exposed on at least one surface. Can be fixed to the body Ce. Further, the connector 10 can be connected to the electric wire W for connecting the conductive fiber Fc to the external electronic device or the connector on the other side.

In the embodiments shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the conductive cloth body Ce occupies a part of the cloth Fb. The entire area of the fabric Fb may be occupied by the conductive fabric Ce. Further, the conductive cloth body Ce is knitted with warp threads woven with conductive fiber Fc and weft threads We woven with conductive fiber Fc. The conductive cloth body Ce may be composed of a non-woven fabric containing the conductive fiber Fc.

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, the connector 10 includes a substantially rectangular terminal plate 1 and a first crimp terminal plate 3. The terminal plate 1 can come into contact with one surface of the conductive cloth Ce (hereinafter referred to as surface Sa). Further, the terminal plate 1 has a connecting means for connecting to the electric wire W or the mating connector, which will be described in the first to fourth embodiments described later.

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, the first crimp terminal plate 3 has a substantially rectangular main surface plate 31 and a plurality of crimp pieces 32. The main face plate 31 can come into contact with the other surface (hereinafter, referred to as the back surface Sb) of the conductive cloth body Ce. The plurality of crimping pieces 32 stand up from both ends of the main face plate 31 (see FIG. 1). Further, the plurality of crimping pieces 32 can penetrate the conductive cloth body Ce from the back surface Sb of the conductive cloth body Ce toward the front surface Sa.

With reference to FIGS. 1 to 3, after the plurality of crimping pieces 32 penetrate the conductive cloth body Ce, the terminal plate 1 is introduced between the facing crimping pieces 32 and 32, and the terminal plate 1 is introduced through the conductive cloth body Ce. By crimping the plurality of crimping pieces 32 toward the terminal plate 1, the connector 10 can be fixed to the conductive cloth body Ce (see FIG. 2 or 3).

With reference to FIG. 3B, in a state where the plurality of crimping pieces 32 are crimped to the terminal plate 1, the connector 10 defines the amount of compression of the conductive cloth body Ce in the thickness direction.

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, the connector 10 according to the first embodiment abuts on a substantially rectangular terminal plate 1 capable of contacting the front surface Sa of the conductive cloth body Ce and the back surface Sb of the conductive cloth body Ce. It is composed of a freely substantially rectangular main face plate 31 and a first crimp terminal plate 3 having a plurality of crimping pieces 32 that stand up from both ends of the main face plate 31 and can penetrate the conductive cloth body Ce. Then, in a state where a plurality of crimping pieces 32 are crimped to the terminal plate via the conductive cloth Ce, the conductive cloth is damaged by defining the amount of compression in the thickness direction of the conductive cloth. It can be electrically connected to the conductive cloth Ce containing the conductive fiber Fc properly and stably.

(Structure of the first crimp terminal plate)
Next, the configuration of the first crimp terminal plate 3 according to the first embodiment will be described. With reference to FIGS. 1 to 3, the first crimp terminal plate 3 is preferably made of a conductive metal plate. By molding the developing plate having conductivity, the first crimp terminal plate 3 having a desired shape can be obtained.

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, the main face plate 31 forms a plurality of shallow beads 3b that rise in an oval shape from the bottom surface. By forming the plurality of beads 3b on the main face plate 31, the bending strength of the main face plate 31 can be strengthened. When the plurality of crimping pieces 32 are crimped toward the terminal plate 1, it is preferable to form the plurality of beads 3b so that the tip ends of the crimping pieces 32 face both ends of the beads 3b (FIG. 3 (B). )reference).

(Action of conductive cloth connector)
Next, the operation and effect of the connector 10 will be described while explaining the operation of the connector 10 according to the first embodiment.

With reference to FIG. 1A, the first crimp terminal plate 3 is moved toward the conductive cloth body Ce with the plurality of crimp pieces 32 at the head. When the main face plate 31 comes into contact with the back surface Sb of the conductive cloth body Ce, the plurality of crimping pieces 32 penetrate the conductive cloth body Ce.

Next, with reference to FIG. 2 or 3, the terminal plate 1 is introduced between the crimping pieces 32 and 32 facing each other, and the plurality of crimping pieces 32 are directed toward the terminal plate 1 via the conductive cloth body Ce. The connector 10 can be fixed to the conductive cloth body Ce by crimping.

When a plurality of crimping pieces 32 are crimped toward the terminal plate 1 with reference to FIG. 3B, a dedicated crimping piece 32 is provided so that the thickness t of the conductive cloth body Ce can secure a predetermined compression amount. It is preferable to use a jig or tool.

With reference to FIG. 2 or FIG. 3, since the connector 10 presses the conductive cloth body Ce in the surface direction by the terminal plate 1 and the main face plate 31, damage to the conductive cloth body Ce can be suppressed. Further, since the connector 10 presses the conductive cloth body Ce in the surface direction with the terminal plate 1 and the main face plate 31, fluctuation of the contact resistance with the conductive fiber Fc can be suppressed.

With reference to FIG. 3B, the larger the amount of pressure applied to the conductive cloth Ce, the more the contact resistance with the conductive fiber Fc can be reduced, but the more easily the conductive cloth Ce is damaged. It is preferable to obtain an appropriate amount of compression by an experiment or the like so that an appropriate amount of compression of the conductive cloth body Ce can be secured.

[Second Embodiment]
(Construction of connector for conductive cloth)
Next, the configuration of the conductive cloth connector according to the second embodiment of the present invention will be described. In addition, since the components having the same reference numerals as those used in the first embodiment have the same action, the following description may be omitted.

Referring to FIG. 9, the conductive cloth connector (hereinafter, abbreviated as connector) 20 according to the second embodiment of the present invention includes a warp Wa woven with a conductive fiber Fc and a weft Weed woven with a conductive fiber Fc. Can be fixed to the woven conductive cloth Ce. Further, the connector 20 can be connected to the electric wire W for connecting the conductive fiber Fc to the external electronic device or the connector on the other side.

Referring to FIG. 9, the connector 10 includes a substantially rectangular terminal plate 1 and a second crimp terminal plate 5. The terminal plate 1 can come into contact with one surface of the conductive cloth Ce (hereinafter referred to as surface Sa). Further, the terminal plate 1 has a connecting means for connecting to the electric wire W or the connector on the other side as shown in the first to fourth embodiments described above.

Referring to FIG. 9, the second crimp terminal plate 5 has a substantially rectangular main surface plate 51 and a plurality of crimp pieces 52. The main face plate 51 can come into contact with the back surface Sb of the conductive cloth body Ce. The plurality of crimping pieces 52 stand up from both ends of the main face plate 51. Further, the plurality of crimping pieces 52 can penetrate the conductive cloth body Ce from the back surface Sb of the conductive cloth body Ce toward the front surface Sa.

Referring to FIG. 9, the second crimp terminal plate 5 further includes a pair of guide pieces 53 and 53. A set of guide pieces 53 and 53 is arranged on both sides of the plurality of crimping pieces 52. These guide pieces 53 and 53 can be inserted into the mesh of the warp thread Wa and the weft thread We.

With reference to FIG. 9A, after the plurality of crimping pieces 52 penetrate the conductive cloth body Ce, the terminal plate 1 is introduced between the opposing crimping pieces 52 and 52, and the plurality of crimping pieces 52 are inserted into the terminal plates. By crimping toward 1, the connector 10 can be fixed to the conductive cloth body Ce.

Referring to FIG. 9, the guide piece 53 is arranged higher than the crimping piece 52. When the main face plate 51 is moved toward the conductive cloth body Ce, the guide piece 53 can be inserted into the mesh of the conductive cloth body Ce before the crimping piece 52. In other words, by inserting the plurality of guide pieces 53 into the mesh of the conductive cloth body Ce, the posture of the second crimp terminal plate 5 can be corrected, and the plurality of crimp pieces 52 can be inserted along the mesh. The plurality of guide pieces 53 may be bent at the time of crimping the plurality of crimping pieces 52, or the base end portions of the plurality of guide pieces 53 may be cut off.

By analogy with FIG. 3B, in a state where a plurality of crimping pieces 52 are crimped to the terminal plate 1, the connector 20 defines the amount of compression of the conductive cloth body Ce in the thickness direction.

(Structure of the second crimp terminal plate)
Next, the configuration of the second crimp terminal plate 5 according to the second embodiment will be described. With reference to FIG. 9, the second crimp terminal plate 5 is preferably made of a conductive metal plate. A second crimp terminal plate 5 having a desired shape can be obtained by molding a developing plate having conductivity.

Referring to FIG. 9, the main face plate 51 forms a plurality of shallow beads 5b that rise in an oval shape from the bottom surface. By forming the plurality of beads 5b on the main face plate 51, the bending strength of the main face plate 51 can be strengthened. When the plurality of crimping pieces 52 are crimped toward the terminal plate 1, it is preferable to form the plurality of beads 5b so that the tip ends of the crimping pieces 52 face both ends of the bead 5b.

(Action of conductive cloth connector)
Next, the operation and effect of the connector 20 according to the second embodiment will be described. With reference to FIG. 9, the connector 20 according to the second embodiment has the same effect as the connector 10 according to the first embodiment, but a pair or more of guide pieces 53 and 53 that can be inserted into the mesh of the warp thread Wa and the weft thread We. Since the second crimp terminal plate 5 is provided, a plurality of crimp pieces 52 can be inserted along the mesh.
