複数のコネクタ形状が混在するケーブルを整理して掛けるための保持器具であって、複数のコネクタの首部を引っ掛けて保持するための複数の歯を有する櫛状部1と、同保持器具をパイプや壁にぶら下げて保持するためのハンガー部2と、前記櫛状部1を斜め上向きに保持して前記ハンガー部2と接続するための台座部3とから成るケーブル保持器具である。櫛状部1と台座部3、またはハンガー部2と台座部3は成型上一体化することも可能である。
図1に示すように台座部3は櫛状部1を櫛の歯を斜め上向きに固定することができ、例えば櫛状部1を45度上向きとし、櫛の歯はUSBケーブル3本が保持できるように長さは2.5センチメートルとする。ハンガー部2は、フックであり、引っ掛ける壁やパイプの方向に合わせて水平面内で首を回転できるように構成することができる。また、ハンガー部2は壁などに本保持器具を掛けるためのもので、板状で固定のための穴を有し、ネジ、ピンによる固定など公知の方法でハンガー部2を固定することもできる。
ハンガー部2や台座部3にはUSBタイプAとUSBタイプC変換コネクタ等の小物を置けるように台を具備しても良いし、変換コネクタ等の小物のはさみ込み機構やぶら下げフックを具備しても良い。
図2は本保持器具を正面から見た図であり、櫛状部1は複数の歯から構成されている。この歯は2ミリメートル以上、4ミリメートル以内の空隙で隔たり、ケーブルのコネクタ部を挟み込むことでケーブルが引っ掛かるように構成されている。図2では歯の先は矩形であるが、ケーブルを引っ掛けやすいように歯の先を細くしたり、丸みを持たせて刺しやすくし、安易にケーブルが外れないように歯の途中に突起や曲線を持たせることで一度刺さったケーブルを把持するように構成することができる。ケーブルの太さはUSBでは直径2ミリメートルから4ミリメートルが代表的であるが、これ以外の規格のケーブルにも対応できるように歯の間隔を異ならせるように構成しても良い。
図3は本保持器具にUSBケーブルを3本同一の歯の間に保持している状態の例を示している。図3のようにケーブルのコネクタ部分の首を歯に引っ掛けることで1つの歯間に例では同じ種類のコネクタの3本のケーブルを収容することができる。
図4は本保持器具同じ種類のコネクタのUSBケーブル3本を3種類のコネクタ分の計9本保持した状態を示す図である。図4の右側の中3つの歯のように、容易にケーブルが刺さるように歯の太さを先端と根元で異ならせたり、一度刺さったケーブルが容易に外れないように歯の途中に突起や曲線を持たせることでケーブルを把持するように構成することができる。
ハンガー部2は図3のようにフック(衣装用のハンガーで使用されるような)でもよいし、図4のように板状で穴が開いているハンガーでもよい。FIG. 1 shows the configuration of this holding device.
