図3は本保持器具にUSBケーブルを3本同一の歯の間に保持している状態の例を示している。図3のようにケーブルのコネクタ部分の首を歯に引っ掛けることで1つの歯間に例では同じ種類のコネクタの3本のケーブルを収容することができる。
図4は本保持器具同じ種類のコネクタのUSBケーブル3本を3種類のコネクタ分の計9本保持した状態を示す図である。図4の右側の中3つの歯のように、容易にケーブルが刺さるように歯の太さを先端と根元で異ならせたり、一度刺さったケーブルが容易に外れないように歯の途中に突起や曲線を持たせることでケーブルを把持するように構成することができる。
ハンガー部2は図3のようにフック(衣装用のハンガーで使用されるような)でもよいし、図4のように板状で穴が開いているハンガーでもよい。
