Abstract
Description
Claims (20)
- 皮膚冷却配列体を備えたアプリケータであって、
ハウジング、及び前記ハウジングの遠位端から延びる支持構造物と、
前記支持構造物に取り付けられた透過窓と
を含み、
前記支持構造物は少なくとも一つの冷却流体伝導チャネルを含み、
前記窓は、前記支持構造物における少なくとも一つの流体伝導チャネルと流体連通する少なくとも一つの冷却流体伝導チャネルを含み、
前記透過窓は、前記透過窓と接触する被処置組織エリアを冷却する、アプリケータ。 - 前記支持構造物に取り付けられた一対の双極性RF電極をさらに含み、
一対の双極性RF電極は、組織処置平面に位置決めされた組織にRFエネルギーを適用するべく構成される、請求項1に記載のアプリケータ。 - 光システムが、光エネルギーのビームを光エネルギー源から受け、組織処置平面に位置決めされた組織に送るように構成され、
組織処置平面が一対の双極性RF電極間に位置決めされる、請求項1に記載のアプリケータ。 - 前記透過窓において作られた前記冷却流体伝導チャネルの断面が、円形、楕円形、長円形、及び相対的に低い流体流抵抗を有する断面からなる群の一つである、請求項1に記載のアプリケータ。
- 前記透過窓は、前記支持構造物において作られた流体伝導チャネルと流体連通する中空キャビティを含む、請求項1に記載のアプリケータ。
- 前記透過窓は、サファイア及び水晶からなる材料の群の少なくとも一つから作られる、請求項1に記載のアプリケータ。
- 前記透過窓の外側表面が、組織と接触して前記組織処置平面を画定する、請求項1に記載のアプリケータ。
- 光エネルギー源が、400nm〜2000nmの波長の光エネルギーを与える、請求項1に記載のアプリケータ。
- 光エネルギー源が、0.5J/cm2〜150J/cm2のフルエンスの光エネルギーを与える、請求項1に記載のアプリケータ。
- 前記支持構造物は、前記アプリケータの対称軸に対して10〜30度の角度だけ傾斜される、請求項1に記載のアプリケータ。
- 前記支持構造物は、前記アプリケータの対称軸と同軸である、請求項1に記載のアプリケータ。
- 冷却先端部が、熱負荷1ワット当たり摂氏1度未満の熱抵抗を有する、請求項1に記載のアプリケータ。
- 光パイプ均質化ロッドをさらに含み、
前記ロッドは、テーパー付き光均質化ロッド、テーパー付き光台形プリズム、テーパー付き多面光均質化ロッド、又はテーパー付き中空光ガイドからなる光ガイドの少なくとも一つであり、
前記光ガイドの内表面には反射コーティングが堆積される、請求項1に記載のアプリケータ。 - 前記アプリケータは、一対のレンズを備えた光システムを含み、
前記一対のレンズは、光エネルギーの均質化されたビームを光パイプ均質化ロッドから受けて光パイプ均質化ロッドの出力面を、一対の双極性RF電極間に位置決めされた被処置皮膚又は組織平面に結像させるように構成され、
光ガイドの出力面は長円の形状を有する、請求項13に記載のアプリケータ。 - 前記アプリケータは、一対のレンズを備えた光システムを含み、
前記一対のレンズは、光エネルギーの均質化されたビームを光パイプ均質化ロッドから受けて光パイプ均質化ロッドの出力面を、一対の双極性RF電極間に位置決めされた被処置皮膚又は組織平面に結像させるように構成され、
光パイプ均質化ロッドの出力面は台形の形状を有する、請求項1に記載のアプリケータ。 - 前記支持構造物は、前記アプリケータの対称軸に対して10〜30度の角度だけ傾斜される、請求項1に記載のアプリケータ。
- 対称軸に対して傾斜された前記支持構造物により、操作者が被処置組織エリアを良好に見ることが容易になる、請求項1に記載のアプリケータ。
- 冷却流体リザーバをさらに含み、
熱電要素が前記冷却流体リザーバを冷却し、
冷却流体が前記支持構造物を冷却し、
サファイア窓が組織処置平面に接触する、請求項1に記載のアプリケータ。 - 冷却流体の循環が、前記組織の処置の前の、前記組織の処置の過程における、及び前記組織の処置の後の連続的な循環の少なくとも一つに存在する、請求項19に記載のアプリケータ。
- 冷却流体が、所定の周期で循環するように強制され、
前記強制される冷却流体の循環は、レーザーエネルギーの送達の少なくとも200ms前に動作するように構成される、請求項19に記載のアプリケータ。
