Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a rotary joint and a fluid feeding mechanism used for feeding a fluid to a rotating part.
As a fluid coupling that connects a fixed fluid feed pipe to the flow path of a rotating part in a fluid feeding mechanism that feeds a coolant or other fluid to a rotating part that is rotating during operation, such as a spindle of a machine tool A rotary joint is used. The rotary joint is a seal of a rotary seal mounted on each facing end face, with a rotating shaft coupled to the rotating part and a fixed shaft connected to the fluid supply pipe arranged coaxially and facing each other in the axial direction. It is the structure which prevents the leakage of a fluid by sticking a surface mutually. With this configuration, a fluid having a predetermined pressure and a predetermined flow rate is continuously supplied from the fluid supply pipe to the rotating portion in a rotating state via the rotary joint. In such a rotary joint, it is necessary to move the fixed shaft side in the axial direction in order to bring the sealing surface into close contact. For this reason, the fixed shaft is slidably fitted in a fitting hole provided in the casing portion or the like, and a sealing member such as an O-ring interposed between the inner periphery of the fitting hole and the fixed shaft. Thus, fluid leakage from the sliding gap is prevented.
By the way, the fluid to be supplied by the rotary joint often contains foreign matter such as minute cutting waste such as coolant circulated in the machine tool. For this reason, it is inevitable that these foreign substances enter the sliding gap between the fixed shaft and the fitting hole in the process of continuously supplying the fluid. If these foreign objects enter repeatedly, they will accumulate and adhere in the sliding gap, and the smooth sliding of the fixed shaft will be hindered. As a result, the rotary joint will not operate normally and there will be problems such as a large amount of fluid leakage. Arise. Therefore, in order to detect such a problem, a rotary joint having a function of detecting leakage from the joint portion has been proposed (see Patent Document 1). In the prior art example shown in
However, the above-described prior art has the following drawbacks. In the prior art, only the fact that the coolant flow rate in the drain pipe exceeds the set value by an alarm is issued, and the state of the sliding state of the fixed shaft into the fitting hole is determined. No useful information to guess was provided. That is, the rotary joint has a service life and requires replacement of consumable parts such as a fixed shaft at an appropriate timing. However, the usable life is not constant depending on the situation in which the rotary joint is used, for example, the state of contamination of foreign matters contained in the coolant, and it is not always appropriate to periodically replace it at preset intervals. For this reason, there has been a demand for a method for simply and objectively detecting a change in the sliding state due to the use of the rotary joint.
The present invention has been made in view of such a problem, and it is simple and objective to observe a change in a sliding state caused by a foreign substance invading into a sliding gap between a fixed shaft portion and a fitting hole to be accumulated and solidified. An object of the present invention is to provide a rotary joint and a fluid feed mechanism that can be detected automatically.

According to the present invention, it is possible to easily and objectively detect a change in a sliding state caused by a foreign substance entering a sliding gap between the fixed shaft portion and the fitting hole and accumulating and solidifying.
Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. First, the overall configuration of the
The rotating
Next, the detailed structure of each part will be described. The rotating
A
Next, the structure of the fixing
The floating
The fixed
In the fluid feeding operation by the rotary joint 1, the floating
In the above configuration, the floating
In the
By supplying an air pressure of a predetermined pressure to the first
Next, the operation of the rotary joint 1 will be described with reference to FIG. The fluid to be fed is supplied into the
When the floating
In the operating state of the rotary joint 1, the sealing surface of the
When the
As described above, in order for the rotary joint 1 to function normally, the floating
In the present embodiment, the above-described sliding
Hereinafter, the detailed configuration and function of the sliding
In the fitting portion where the

The position of the
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 3C, when the
In the present embodiment, an example is shown in which the
Next, the configuration of the fluid feeding mechanism in the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. This fluid feeding mechanism has a function of feeding the fluid supplied from the

Next, referring to FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, the operation of each part in the sliding state detection by the sliding
5 (a) to 5 (d) show the operation steps of the states of the sliding
In FIG. 6, pressure pattern data acquired in a plurality of states in which the sliding state of the fixed
Hereinafter, the sliding state detection shown in FIG. 5 will be described with reference to FIG. 6A showing pressure pattern data during normal operation. First, FIG. 5A shows a state shown in FIG. 1, that is, a state in which the floating
That is, the upstream end of the
FIG. 5B shows that the leading end of the
FIG. 5C shows a state in which the
Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 5D, when the floating
In FIG. 6A, a first time T1 from timing t0 to timing t1 and a second time T2 from timing t1 to timing t2 are the sliding states of the fixed
For the
These data processing and determination are executed by the function of the
FIG. 6B shows pressure pattern data in an abnormal state in which the fixed
In addition, in the pressure pattern data at the precursor of the abnormal state shown in FIG. 6C, the first time T1 * from timing t0 to timing t1 and the second time T2 * from timing t1 to timing t2 are both. It is in a form delayed from the reference parameter shown in FIG. That is, in the fixed
Next, the configuration and function of the sliding
First, the structure of the sliding
In the fitting portion where the
The
The position of the
In this state, the
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 7C, when the
In the present embodiment, an example is shown in which the
Next, referring to FIG. 8 and FIG. 9, the operation of each part in the sliding state detection by the sliding
8 (a) to 8 (d) show the operation steps of the states of the sliding
In FIG. 9, pressure pattern data acquired in a plurality of states in which the sliding state of the fixed
Hereinafter, the sliding state detection shown in FIG. 8 will be described with reference to FIG. 9A showing the pressure pattern data during normal operation. First, FIG. 8A shows the state shown in FIG. 1, that is, the state in which the floating
That is, the upstream end of the
FIG. 8B shows that the downstream end of the
In this state, the
Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 8D, when the floating
In FIG. 9A, a first time T1 from timing t0 to timing t1 and a second time T2 from timing t1 to timing t2 are the sliding states of the fixed
For the
FIG. 9B shows pressure pattern data in an abnormal state where the fixed
Further, in the pressure pattern data at the precursor of the abnormal state shown in FIG. 8C, the first time T1 * from the timing t0 to the timing t1 and the second time T2 * from the timing t1 to the timing t2 are both. It is a form delayed from the reference parameter shown in FIG. That is, in the fixed
As described above, in the fluid feeding mechanism shown in the present embodiment, the fluid supplied from the
The rotary joint and fluid feeding mechanism of the present invention can easily and objectively detect changes in the sliding state caused by foreign matter entering into the sliding gap between the fixed shaft portion and the fitting hole and accumulating and solidifying.
