Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a discharge head (hot end) of a modeling material for a three-dimensional modeling apparatus (three-dimensional printer) and a three-dimensional modeling apparatus.
In recent years, manufacturing a three-dimensional model using a computer with a three-dimensional printer has been actively performed. As such a molding material discharge head, for example, a structure as shown in FIG. 6 is known. This discharge head has a structure in which a
However, in such a discharge head, in order to maintain an appropriate melting temperature in the
Therefore, the present applicant has previously proposed a discharge head that can use a high melting point molding material by reducing the size and weight and operating at a high temperature (Patent Document 1). As shown in FIG. 7, the discharge head includes a
However, in the above-described discharge head, since the heat insulating spacer is used, the
Moreover, it is ideal that the temperature of the
The object of the present invention has been made in view of such a situation, and can reduce the number of parts and reduce the assembly work, and can be reduced in size, weight, energy saving and longer life. Another object of the present invention is to provide an ejection head for the modeling material and a 3D modeling apparatus equipped with the ejection head.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a modeling material ejection head for a 3D modeling apparatus that can improve the degree of freedom in selecting a modeling material by enabling high-temperature operation.
The present invention is characterized in that the discharge head or the head main body is seamlessly formed integrally (integral molding) by providing a heat insulating portion and suppressing conduction of heat used in the melting portion to the supply portion. To do.
That is, the discharge head for the modeling material for the 3D modeling apparatus according to the present invention is provided with a melting part that melts the supplied modeling material, to which a heating member is attached, and a discharge part that has a discharge port for discharging the melted modeling material, A heat insulating part that suppresses conduction of heat of the melting part on a side where the modeling material is supplied to the melting part, and a passage communicating between the heat insulating part, the melting part, and the discharge part, The heat insulating part is made of stainless steel, nickel alloy, titanium, titanium alloy or ceramic.
Further, the passage is formed seamlessly across the heat insulating part, the melting part and the discharge part, and the melting part, the discharge part and the heat insulating part are made of stainless steel, nickel alloy, titanium, titanium alloy or It may be integrally formed of ceramic.
According to these discharge heads, since the heat insulating portion is formed, it is possible to perform modeling at an appropriate temperature of the supply portion even if they are integrally formed. Moreover, since the heat which heated the melting | dissolving part with the heating member can suppress escaping to the supply part side by a heat insulation part, the said heat can be used effectively for melting | fusing of modeling material, and it contributes to energy saving. Can do. Furthermore, since the discharge head or the head main body can be integrally formed, the discharge head can be reduced in size, weight and life, and the reliability is low due to the small number of parts (one point for the discharge head). In addition, component management costs, assembly costs, material costs, and the like can be reduced.
In the present invention, the length of the heat insulating portion can be appropriately determined based on the relationship between the cross-sectional area and the thermal conductivity of the material of the ejection head or the head body.
Metal materials such as iron alloy (stainless steel), nickel alloy, titanium and titanium alloy, and inorganic materials such as ceramic of the discharge head or head body of the present invention have a thermal conductivity of about 25 W / (m · K) or less, aluminum The shape of the heat insulation part can be made simpler than that of the order of magnitude. Moreover, since metal materials are superior in strength and heat resistance, the cross-sectional area of the heat insulating part can be reduced, the thickness of the thin part can be made thinner, and the area of the opening can be made larger, so the size can be further reduced. It is possible to reduce the weight.
Among the materials of the discharge head or head body of the present invention, 64 titanium alloy (a titanium alloy containing 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium) has a low thermal conductivity, wear resistance, heat resistance, chemical resistance and the like. It is excellent in the conditions required for the discharge head of the three-dimensional modeling apparatus, and can be said to be an optimal material. In particular, when ceramic such as alumina ceramic or alumina / zirconia ceramic is used as the insulating substrate of the heating member, since the thermal expansion coefficient is close, in addition to being able to further reduce bonding failure due to heat cycle, it has high heat resistance. In addition, it is possible to obtain a joint that is strong against thermal shock and has a strong joint strength. In addition, since the compatibility with thick film bonding materials such as silver paste (which may contain glass, copper, etc.) is good, the heating member should be bonded well to the melting part of the head body by thick film technology. Can be used more preferably. Further, since the thermal expansion coefficients are approximate, for example, even when a modeling material that requires high-temperature melting such as super engineering plastic is used, the bonding state of the heating member (heating head) can be kept good. it can.
In the present specification, the ejection head may mean a head main body, or may mean a head body attached with a heating member.
According to the present invention, even if the discharge head is integrally formed, it is possible to effectively suppress the heat generated by heating the melting portion to the supply portion, and most of the supply heat amount is used for heating and melting the modeling material. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the assembly work by reducing the number of parts of the discharge head, making the discharge head smaller, lighter, saving energy, extending its life, and increasing the choice of molding material types that can be operated at high temperatures. can do.
Below, the discharge head of the modeling material for 3D modeling apparatuses of one Embodiment of this invention is demonstrated, referring drawings. FIG. 1 shows a
The
The
The
The
The
Next, an example of the heating head (heating member) 5 attached to the
The
At one side edge along the length direction of the insulating
The
FIG. 2B shows an explanatory diagram of a connection structure between the

FIG. 3 shows a state in which the
Each of the two
In the present embodiment, the width (5 mm) of the
FIG. 4 shows an example in which the
When the discharge head of the present invention is attached to the 3D modeling apparatus, the
FIG. 5 is a block diagram showing an example of a control circuit when the temperature of the substrate is also measured by the
The voltage supplied from the commercial
The temperature can be detected by changing the resistance value using the
It has been confirmed that the ejection head of the above-described embodiment can be quickly heated to a high temperature of 500 ° C. and can be operated with low power consumption. It has also been confirmed that PEEK (polyetheretherketone), which is known as a super engineering plastic having a high heat resistance temperature, can be satisfactorily shaped using a filament. At this time, heat conduction can be effectively suppressed in the
In addition, the ejection head of the above-described embodiment has a length of 32 mm and a width of 5 mm as a whole, and is much smaller than existing ejection heads. Further, when the
Moreover, since the discharge head of this invention can be heated at high temperature, it can be used also for fixed melting point metals and low melting point crows as modeling material.
Furthermore, in the above-described embodiment, the
In addition, by adding an electrode in the middle (middle) of the
Further, when a titanium alloy (for example, 64 titanium) is used as the material of the
In addition, the
In the present invention, the head body is integrally formed (integral molding), and the number of parts to be joined is reduced. In addition, the heat resistance bonding can be performed firmly and the reliability can be further improved.
