Abstract
Description
本願は、2015年10月12日に出願され、Radioabsorbent Assembliesと題された米国仮出願第62/240,409号に対する優先権を主張するものであり、該米国仮出願は、その全体が参照により本明細書中に援用される。
本発明は、リアルタイムX線撮像を要求する手技の間に立ち会う医師および他の医療従事者を保護するための放射線遮蔽体の種々の実施形態に関する。
X線または他の電離放射線を要求する医療手技の間の放射線暴露は、医療従事者(HCW)にとって主要な健康上の懸念である。経皮的手技等のリアルタイム撮像を要求する手技は、X線ガントリとして知られるCアーム上に搭載されるX線デバイスを伴う、台上の患者を巻き込む。放射線は、Cアームの底部上の「管」から放出され、台の底部および患者を通して上向きに指向される。HCWに付き添う医師および他の者は、典型的には、台の隣に立って、患者に付き添い、放射線を受ける。
したがって、HCWを放射線から保護しながら、HCWが患者にアクセスすることを可能にする、遮蔽システムの必要がある。本明細書に説明される本発明は、腰部の下方および上方の両方の保護を提供し、かつ患者に対して種々の位置に位置するHCWを保護することを対象とする、いくつかの実施形態を提供する。

Claims (17)
- 放射線吸収性遮蔽体であって、
少なくとも1つの底部縁を有し、放射線吸収性材料の少なくとも1つの層を含む、可撓性シートと、
複数の剛性垂直ステーであって、前記シートに取り付けられ、前記シートを前記ステーの形状に共形化させる複数の剛性垂直ステーと
を備え、
前記ステーは、前記シートが、前記ステーの上方の点から吊架されたとき、前記シートの少なくとも1つの底部縁が、前記ステーの上方の点から水平にオフセットされるように成形される、放射線吸収性遮蔽体。 - 前記可撓性シートは、外側層と、内側層とを備え、前記放射線吸収性材料の少なくとも1つの層は、前記外側層と前記内側層との間に挟入される、請求項1に記載の放射線吸収性遮蔽体。
- 前記可撓性シートはさらに、その中に前記ステーが除去可能に含まれるポケットを備える、請求項1に記載の放射線吸収性遮蔽体。
- 前記ステーは、伸長である、請求項1に記載の放射線吸収性遮蔽体。
- 前記ステーは、相互から離間される、請求項1に記載の放射線吸収性遮蔽体。
- 前記ステーは、相互に平行である、請求項1に記載の放射線吸収性遮蔽体。
- 台の下に位置する移動可能X線管を有するX線台の下方において、医療従事者を放射線暴露から保護する方法であって、
少なくとも1つの底部縁を有する可撓性放射線吸収性シートを提供するステップと、
前記シートが、前記少なくとも1つの底部縁の上方の前記シート上の場所から吊架されたとき、前記少なくとも1つの底部縁が、前記場所から水平にオフセットされるように、前記シートを垂直に成形するステップと、
前記シート上の場所が、前記点の近傍にあって、前記底部縁が、前記オフセットに起因して、前記台の下に位置するように、前記放射線吸収性シートを患者の近傍の点から吊架するステップと
を含む、方法。 - 前記X線管によって移動されたとき、外向きに揺動するためのシート自由度を可能にするステップをさらに含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1つの底部縁を有する前記可撓性放射線吸収性シートを提供するステップは、2つの底部縁を有する可撓性放射線吸収性シートを提供するステップを含み、前記2つの底部縁は、前記シートがX線台にわたってかけられたとき、前記2つの底部縁のそれぞれが、前記台が上に位置する床の近傍において、前記台の両側に位置するように、離間される、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記シートを垂直に成形するステップは、少なくとも1つの剛性ステーを前記シートに接続するステップを含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つの剛性ステーを前記シートに接続するステップは、複数の成形された伸長ステーを前記シート内に形成される垂直ポケット内に設置するステップを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記放射線吸収性シートを前記患者の近傍の点から吊架するステップは、前記患者が横たわる表面にわたって前記放射線吸収性シートをかけるステップを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。

第1の区分と、第2の区分と、第3の区分とを備え、
前記第1の区分は、X線台に跨架するように定寸される幅を有し、
前記第2の区分は、前記シートが、X線台にわたってかけられたとき、前記第2の区分が、前記X線台の側面から垂下するように、前記第1の区分に隣接し、
前記第3の区分は、前記シートが、X線台にわたってかけられたとき、前記第3の区分が、前記第1の区分と反対の前記X線台の側面から垂下するように、前記第1の区分に隣接し、かつ前記第1の区分と反対にあり、
前記第2および第3の区分は、
放射線吸収性材料と、
成形されたステーであって、前記シートが、前記X線台にわたってかけられたとき、前記第2および第3の区分を前記X線台の下で湾曲させる成形されたステーと、
を含む、放射線吸収性シート。 - 第4の区分であって、前記シートが、X線台にわたってかけられたとき、前記第4の区分が、前記X線台の頭部から垂下するように、前記第1の区分に隣接し、前記第2および第3の区分間にある第4の区分をさらに備え、

放射線吸収性材料と、
前記第4の区分に垂直剛性を与える、ステーと
