Claims (15)

A handheld appliance,
A handle having an outer wall;
An inner wall;
A fluid flow path extending from a fluid inlet to a fluid outlet to the appliance within the inner wall;
A fan unit disposed inside the inner wall and for drawing fluid through the fluid inlet;
A seal disposed between the outer wall and the inner wall;
An electrical appliance. The appliance of claim 1, wherein fluid in the fluid flow path flows from the fluid inlet to an upstream end of the fan unit, through the fan unit to a downstream end of the fan unit, and to a fluid outlet.   The appliance of claim 1 or 2, wherein the seal is downstream of the fluid inlet. The appliance according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the seal is downstream of the fan unit. The appliance of claim 1 , wherein the seal comprises an O-ring, a lip seal, or some overmold seal. The appliance of claim 5 , wherein the seal extends around the radial outer periphery of the inner wall. The appliance of claim 5 , wherein the seal extends around a radially inner periphery of the outer wall. The appliance according to any one of claims 1 to 7 , wherein the second seal is provided. The electrical appliance according to claim 8 , wherein the second seal is provided downstream of the first seal. 10. An appliance as claimed in claim 8 or 9 , wherein the outer wall comprises a user interface including at least one user operable button. The appliance of claim 10 , wherein the user interface further comprises an actuator that cooperates with the user operable button, the actuator mechanically connected to a switch. Another seal is provided, appliance as claimed in any of claims 1 to 11. 13. The appliance of claim 12 , wherein the another seal is disposed downstream from the fluid inlet and is spaced from the seal. The appliance is a hair care appliance, appliance as claimed in any of claims 1 to 13. The appliance according to claim 14 , wherein the hair care appliance is a hair dryer.
