Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a bicycle automatic transmission system equipped with a tilt sensor.
In order to always select an optimal gear for a bicycle traveling on a road where the inclination changes, a technique using the inclination information of the road surface is known. For example, in
Further, if a generally known inclination sensor is attached to a predetermined position of the bicycle and the inclination is measured, the inclination angle of the road surface can be obtained by subtracting the angle of the attachment position with respect to the road surface. The inclination sensor uses an acceleration sensor, and the inclination of the main body is determined using the fact that the angle between the gravitational force applied to the acceleration sensor and the internal coordinate axis of the acceleration sensor is equal to the attitude of the acceleration sensor with respect to the gravitational force. Find the corner.
Further, the optimum gear can be selected based on the inclination angle of the road surface and the gear change conversion table.
As described above, it is necessary to travel for a predetermined time in order to obtain the inclination angle from the travel distance and altitude difference due to the cumulative number of rotations of the wheel, and the obtained inclination angle is always information on the road that has already been traveled, and In general, the inclination angle of the road surface will differ.
In addition, in the method of obtaining the tilt angle using the acceleration sensor, when the bicycle is accelerating, the inertial force and gravity associated therewith cannot be distinguished, and an accurate tilt angle cannot be obtained.

This makes it possible to perform automatic gear shifting based on the inclination information while the bicycle is running.

By the way, when an acceleration sensor is used to detect inclination information during bicycle travel, it is necessary to integrate twice in order to convert a change in acceleration into a change in distance. Further, when the angular velocity is detected from the centrifugal force based on the output of the acceleration sensor, or when the angular velocity is detected by a gyro sensor (angular velocity sensor), it is necessary to integrate once in order to calculate the angle from the angular velocity. . Thus, when an acceleration sensor or a gyro sensor is used, integration is required, errors are accumulated by integration, and the inclination information detection accuracy tends to decrease.

Further, in the pressure sensor 471, when the external pressure Pout changes very slowly, the function of restricting the flow of the pressure transmission medium by the gap 513 does not act, and the internal pressure Pin does not delay with respect to the external pressure Pout, and has almost the same pressure value. Thus, the differential pressure ΔP is not generated. In the present embodiment, this is used in reverse, and when the external pressure Pout has a very slow change rate (for example, a change in atmospheric pressure such as a weather change), the change in the external pressure Pout can be ignored.
