Abstract
Description
a)断熱材の露出面が構造の囲み部材と接する縁部を被覆するように、発泡流体ポリマー組成物層を断熱材の露出面の上に適用することと、
b)その後、断熱材の露出面上にポリマーコーティングを形成するように、適用された発泡流体ポリマー組成物層を硬化させることであって、このコーティングが、断熱材の露出面が構造の囲み部材と接する1つまたは複数の縁部を封止する、硬化させることと、を含む。
112×112×1.27cm枠が合板から構成される。40.6×40.6cm平方が枠の中心に切り開かれる。上昇した周縁部(高さ5.1cm)が正方形の開口の周りに構成される。2片の1.27cm合板が上昇した周縁部の上に載置され、それらの間に0.3cmの間隙を残す。結果として、40.6×40.6×5.1cmの空洞が2片の合板で裏打ちされる。その後、アセンブリが反転されて、40.6×40.6cmの開口が3ミル(0.76mm)のポリエチレンフィルムで被覆される。その後、アセンブリは、真空から外方に向いたフィルムを有する空気流装置内に載置される。空気流装置内の圧力は、大気圧下で25Paに低減され、空気流が測定されてベースライン空気流量を得る。フィルムは、空気が合板内の間隙を通って、かつ空洞を通って流れるのを防ぎ、そのためシステム内の他の漏出に起因する空気流が測定され、その後の測定から差し引かれるのを可能にする。
実施例5:175g分量の実施例2及び3に記載の乳剤混合物を、Hobart製パンミキサーに入れ、ワイヤ泡立て器アタッチメントを用いて高速で5分間泡立て、0.086g/ccの密度を有する泡を生成する。それぞれの場合、その後、この泡を繊維ガラスで充填されたテストアセンブリの上にこて塗りし、硬化させて、前述の実施例と同じ方法で評価する。
乳剤混合物を、前述のRhoplex(商標)2019 RX製品から、それを表3に示される追加の成分と混合することによって作製する。
実施例3に記載される乳剤混合物を、実施例2及び3に関して記載されるように、アルミニウムスプレー缶に封入し、缶を、68:12:20の重量比のイソブタン、プロパン、及びジメチルエーテルのブレンドで加圧する。発泡剤含有量は、5重量%である。乳剤混合物を、垂直テストアセンブリにスプレーする。テストアセンブリは、上述のものと同一である。空洞を、前述のように繊維ガラスバットで充填し、発泡ポリマー組成物がスプレー及び硬化されるとき、枠は垂直に保持される。140gの乳剤(700g/m2の被覆率に対応する)を、前述のように繊維ガラスバットに適用し、硬化させると、空気漏出率は、対照の64%である。乳剤の量を215gに増加させたとき、空気漏出率は、対照の29%である。これらの実験は、本発明が垂直適用でも有用であることを明示する。
乳剤混合物を調製し、実施例15に記載の発泡剤と共に封入する。この混合物は、この場合は繊維ガラスバットがゆるいセルロース粒子状断熱材と置き換えられたことを除いて、前述のように水平断熱枠アセンブリの断熱材層の上面に適用される。異なる発泡体コーティング重量で3回試験を行う。コーティングされたアセンブリを硬化させ、前述のように空気流を試験する。
427.5gの40%固体ポリウレタン分散体(Bayderm Finish 91UD、ガラス転移温度−40°)を、22.5gの水、0.45gのAcrysol(商標)DR−72会合性増粘剤、4.5gの29.5%固体ラウリル硫酸ナトリウム溶液、及び9gの35%固体ステアリン酸ナトリウム溶液とブレンドする。175g分量のこの混合物を、Hobart製パンミキサーに入れ、ワイヤ泡立て器アタッチメントを用いて高速で5分間泡立て、0.093g/ccの密度を有する泡を生成する。その後、この泡を繊維ガラスで充填されたテストアセンブリの上にこて塗りし、硬化させて、前述の実施例と同じ方法で評価する。空気漏出は、対照の3%である。
Claims (18)
- 1つ以上の繊維ウール層または微粒子状断熱材層で断熱された構造を通る空気流を低減するためのプロセスであって、前記繊維ウール層または微粒子状断熱材層が、露出面、及び前記断熱材の前記露出面が前記構造の囲み部材と接する縁部を有し、
a)前記断熱材の前記露出面が前記構造の囲み部材と接する前記縁部を被覆するように、発泡流体ポリマー組成物層を前記断熱材の前記露出面の上に適用することと、
b)その後、前記断熱材の前記露出面上にポリマーコーティングを形成するように、前記適用された発泡流体ポリマー組成物層を硬化させることであって、このコーティングが、前記断熱材の前記露出面が前記構造の前記囲み部材と接する1つまたは複数の前記縁部を封止する、硬化させることと、を含む、前記プロセス。 - 前記ポリマーコーティングが、実質的に前記絶縁材の前記露出面全体を被覆する、請求項1に記載の前記プロセス。
- 前記構造を通る前記空気流が、前記ポリマーコーティングの適用後に少なくとも50%低減される、請求項1または2に記載の前記プロセス。
- 前記構造を通る前記空気流が、前記ポリマーコーティングの適用後に少なくとも75%低減される、請求項3に記載の前記プロセス。
- 前記ポリマーコーティングの厚さが、0.25〜5cmである、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の前記プロセス。
- 前記構造が、天井または水平構造である、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の前記プロセス。
- 前記構造が、垂直構造である、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の前記プロセス。
- 前記断熱材が、繊維バットまたはセルロース断熱材である、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の前記プロセス。
- 前記ポリマーコーティングが、15℃以下の少なくとも1つのガラス転移温度を有する、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の前記プロセス。
- 前記ポリマーコーティングが、少なくとも50%の破断伸びを有する、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の前記プロセス。
- 前記ポリマーが、C1−C8アルキルアクリレート、ヒドロキシアルキルアクリレートポリマー、アクリレート−スチレンコポリマー、アクリレート−酢酸ビニルコポリマー、ポリウレタン、ジエンモノマーのポリマーもしくはコポリマー、またはシリコーンゴムのうちの1つ以上である、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の前記プロセス。
- 前記流体ポリマー組成物が、流体連続相中の前記ポリマーの粒子の分散体である、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の前記プロセス。
- 前記流体ポリマー組成物が、水性乳剤である、請求項12に記載の前記プロセス。
- 前記流体ポリマー組成物が、適用後に反応して前記ポリマーを形成する1つ以上の前駆体材料を含有する、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の前記プロセス。
- 前記前駆体材料が、少なくとも1つのポリイソシアネート化合物を含む、請求項14に記載の前記プロセス。
- 前記流体ポリマー組成物が、少なくとも1つの揮発性膨張剤を含有する、請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載の前記プロセス。
- 前記流体ポリマー組成物が泡立てられる、請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載の前記プロセス。
- 前記ポリマーコーティングが、285〜1425ng/s・m2・Paの透過率を有する、請求項1〜17のいずれか一項に記載の前記プロセス。
