The present invention relates to a connector used for electrical connection of a conductive film formed on, for example, a vehicle glass.

As a connection terminal structure of a defogger wire of a resin window plate used in a vehicle rear window, as shown in Patent Document 1, a connection terminal is inserted into a terminal holding body formed integrally with a resin window plate, A device in which a defogger wire and a lead wire are electrically connected via this connection terminal is known.

However, the connection terminal structure described in Patent Document 1 has a problem that it cannot be applied to a window frame other than resin because the connection terminal is inserted into a terminal holding body formed integrally with the resin window plate.

Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a connector capable of electrically connecting a conductive film formed on a substrate made of various materials to a terminal.

A connector according to the present invention is a connector used for electrically connecting a conductive film formed on a base and a counterpart terminal held by the counterpart connector, and a housing fixed to the base, A holding member supported to be displaceable with respect to the housing, and an elastically deformable terminal held by the holding member, wherein the holding member includes a first locking portion and a second locking portion. The housing includes a third locking portion and a fourth locking portion, and the holding member is displaced with respect to the housing, whereby the first locking is achieved. A temporary locking position where the portion and the third locking portion are locked with each other and a final locking position where the second locking portion and the fourth locking portion are locked with each other are selectively taken In the state where the housing is fixed to the base body. When the holding member is in the temporary locking position, the housing can maintain the holding member in a stationary state, and the terminal is not elastically deformed and is not in contact with the conductive film, When the holding member is in the final locking position in a state where the housing is fixed to the base body, the housing can maintain the holding member in a stationary state, and the terminal is elastically deformed. When the mating connector is fitted to the housing when the conductive member is in contact with the conductive film and the holding member is in the final locking position, the terminal can contact the mating terminal.

The holding member may be supported so as to be rotatable with respect to the housing. Thus, the holding member can be easily displaced from the temporary locking position to the final locking position simply by rotating.

At this time, the housing has a pair of opposing side walls provided with fitting holes on each inner side surface, and the holding member has a pair of shaft portions that are fitted into the fitting holes, respectively. preferable. Accordingly, the holding member can be supported to be rotatable with respect to the housing with a simple configuration.

Further, at this time, the housing has a concave portion that is formed at a peripheral edge of the fitting hole and is recessed outward in the radial direction of the fitting hole as the third locking portion, and the holding member is formed of the shaft portion. The first locking portion has a protrusion protruding outward in the radial direction of the shaft portion from an outer peripheral surface, and when the holding member is in the temporary locking position, the recess of the housing It is preferable that the protrusion is locked. Thereby, a simple configuration in which the holding member is kept stationary at the temporary locking position can be realized.

Further, the housing has a housing portion in which an opening is formed, into which the mating connector is inserted, and the direction of the opening in which the mating connector is inserted into the housing portion is the direction of the holding member. It may be perpendicular to the rotation axis and parallel to the mounting surface of the housing relative to the base. According to this, since it becomes easy for a user to grasp | ascertain the insertion direction to the housing of the other party connector, work efficiency can be improved.

The connector according to the present invention further includes at least one metal reinforcing member attached to the housing, and the reinforcing member is a portion facing the conductive film in a state where the housing is fixed to the base. It is preferable to have. As a result, the metal conductive film and the metal reinforcing member can be bonded using an adhesive, so that the housing can be compared with the case where the metal member and the resin member are bonded. Can be firmly fixed to the substrate. Further, since the types of usable adhesives are increased as compared with the case where the metal member and the resin member are bonded, it is possible to use a low-cost adhesive having a strong adhesive force.

At this time, it is preferable that the two reinforcing members are arranged at positions where the terminals are sandwiched when the holding member is in the main locking position. As a result, the housing can be more securely fixed to the base.

The terminal may include a press-fit portion that is press-fitted into the holding member, and the terminal may be held by the holding member in the press-fit portion. Thereby, the terminal can be easily fixed to the holding member.

It is preferable that the holding member has a cover portion that extends along the terminal and covers the side of the terminal opposite to the base when the holding member is in the final locking position. Thereby, it is possible to prevent the terminal from coming into contact with the external member when the holding member is in the final locking position. In addition, dust and the like can be prevented from adhering to the terminal.

The terminal includes a bent region bent into a substantially U shape, a first region in which a first contact extending from one end of the bent region and contacting the counterpart terminal is formed, and elastic deformation of the terminal. Preferably, the second region extends from the other end of the bent region so as to change its position with respect to the first region, and has a second region formed with a second contact that contacts the conductive film. As a result, the terminal can be simply configured.

At this time, it is preferable that the terminal is provided with a plurality of the second regions whose positions with respect to the first region are independently changed by elastic deformation of the terminals. Thereby, the contact reliability of the terminal with respect to the electrically conductive film can be improved.

The terminal may be in contact with the conductive film formed on the base made of glass while being elastically deformed when the holding member is in the final locking position. Thereby, for example, when the glass for vehicles is the base, the connector of the present invention can be applied.

According to the present invention, since the housing can be fixed to the base, it is possible to achieve electrical connection between the conductive film formed on the base made of various materials such as a glass member or a resin member and the counterpart terminal. . Further, lead-free connection can be realized by using means other than solder such as adhesive or screwing to fix the housing to the base. Further, since the terminal is not in contact with the conductive film at the temporary locking position, the reaction force due to the terminal being in contact with the conductive film while being elastically deformed does not act on the connector. Therefore, when the housing is fixed to the base body with an adhesive or a screw in a state where the holding member is in the temporary locking position, it is possible to reliably prevent stress from acting on the connector. Furthermore, since the terminal comes into contact with the mating terminal by performing a relatively simple operation of displacing the holding member from the temporary locking position to the main locking position and fitting the mating connector with the housing, the conductive film And the mating terminal can be electrically connected.

The male terminal 60 is made of metal, and is bent in a substantially U shape, a first region 62 extending in the longitudinal direction from one end of the bending region 61, and a first region from the other end of the bending region 61. Two second regions 68 extending diagonally downward below 62 are provided.

The first region 62 has a rectangular plate shape, and includes a first contact 63 formed at the front end portion, a positioning hole 64 formed on the bent region 61 side, and a press-fit protrusion 65 extending outward in the horizontal direction from the side surface. Including. The inner peripheral wall that defines the positioning hole 64 and the press-fit protrusion 65 constitute a press-fit portion of the male terminal 60.

The two second regions 68 have the same shape, and are inclined downward with respect to the first region 62 and extend downward. Each second region 68 has a second contact 69 formed at the tip. The male terminal 60 can change the position of the two second regions 68 relative to the first region 62 by elastic deformation. More specifically, as the male terminal 60 is elastically deformed, the second contact 69 is displaced in the vertical direction, and the distance from the first region 62 of the second contact 69 is changed. Furthermore, when the male terminal 60 is elastically deformed, the positions of the two second regions 68 relative to the first region 62 can be independently changed.

Next, the order of assembling the male connector 10 will be described.

First, as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, the male terminal 60 is press-fitted and fixed to the holding member 40. Specifically, the positioning protrusion 44 of the holding member 40 is press-fitted into the positioning hole 64 of the male terminal 60, and the press-fitting protrusion 65 of the male terminal 60 is press-fitted into the main body side recess 45 of the holding member 40. At this time, the positioning hole 64 causes the crushing rib 46 around the positioning projection 44 to be recessed, and the press-fitting projection 65 causes the crushing rib 46 near the main body side recess 45 to be recessed, thereby realizing the press-fitting. With the male terminal 60 assembled to the holding member 40, the male terminal 60 is held by the holding member 40 at the press-fit portion.

Then, as shown in FIG. 8, the holding member 40 and the male terminal 60 are inserted into the housing 11 from the upper side to the lower side in a state where the holding member 40 and the male terminal 60 are erected in the vertical direction (see FIG. 9). Accordingly, the shaft portion 55 of the holding member 40 is fitted into the fitting hole 23 of the first side wall 21, and the holding member 40 is supported so as to be rotatable about the shaft portion 55 with respect to the housing 11. As shown in FIGS. 11 and 12, the rotation axis L of the holding member 40 is positioned at the center of the shaft portion 55 and has a width within the housing 11 (more specifically, within a range passing through the bending region 61). Extending in the direction.

In the state shown in FIG. 9, the holding member 40 and the cover 50 are rotated around the shaft 55 by pressing the cover 50 of the holding 40 toward the longitudinal center of the housing 11. Thereby, as shown in FIG. 10, the holding member 40 and the cover part 50 are supported in the temporary locking position. In this temporary locking position, the second locking portion 51 of the cover portion 50 is locked to the upper end of the second side wall 30, and the first locking portion 56 of the shaft portion 55 is the first as shown in FIG. Locked to the third locking portion 25 of the side wall 21.

In a state where the holding member 40 is supported at the temporary locking position, an adhesive is applied to the back side recess 14 of the bottom plate 12 to fix the housing 11 to the base body 1. When the holding member 40 is in the temporary locking position, the housing 11 maintains the holding member 40 in a stationary state, and the male terminal 60 is not elastically deformed and is not in contact with the conductive film 2 (FIG. 12). reference).

Thereafter, the cover portion 50 of the holding member 40 is pressed toward the bottom plate 12 to lock the second locking portion 51 with the upper end of the second side wall 30 and the first locking portion 56 and the third locking. The locking with the portion 25 is released, the holding member 40 and the cover portion 50 rotate, and the holding member 40 is supported at the main locking position as shown in FIG. When the holding member 40 is in the final locking position, the housing 11 maintains the holding member 40 in a stationary state, and the male terminal 60 comes into contact with the conductive film 2 while being elastically deformed (see FIG. 14). When the male terminal 60 comes into contact with the conductive film 2 and elastically deforms, the holding member 40 is biased upward, but the second locking portion 51 of the holding member 40 and the fourth locking portion of the second side wall 30. 31 is locked to each other so that the main locking position is maintained. Further, when the holding member 40 is in the final locking position, the cover portion 50 extending along the male terminal 60 covers the opposite side of the male terminal 60 from the base body 1.

In this state, the female connector 5 is inserted into the accommodating portion 34 of the housing 11, and the female connector 5 is fitted to the housing 11, whereby the male terminal 60 comes into contact with the female terminal 6 and becomes conductive. Thereby, the female terminal 60 and the conductive film 2 are electrically connected.

[Features of the connector of this embodiment]
The male connector 10 of this embodiment has the following characteristics.

In the male connector 10 of the present embodiment, since the housing 11 can be fixed to the base body 1, electrical connection between the conductive film 2 formed on the glass base body 1 and the female terminals 6 can be achieved. Further, lead-free connection can be realized by using means other than solder (adhesive in the present embodiment) to fix the housing 11 to the base body 1. Further, since the male terminal 60 is not in contact with the conductive film 2 at the temporary locking position, the reaction force due to the male terminal 60 being in contact with the conductive film 2 while being elastically deformed does not act on the male connector 10. Therefore, when the housing member 11 is fixed to the base body 1 with an adhesive while the holding member 40 is in the temporary locking position, it is possible to reliably prevent stress from acting on the male connector 10. Furthermore, the male terminal contacts the female terminal 6 by performing a relatively simple operation of displacing the holding member 40 from the temporary locking position to the final locking position and fitting the female connector 5 to the housing 11. It is possible to achieve electrical connection between the conductive film 2 and the female terminal 6.

In the male connector 10 of this embodiment, the holding member 40 is supported so as to be rotatable with respect to the housing 11. Therefore, the holding member 40 can be easily displaced from the temporary locking position to the final locking position simply by rotating.

In the male connector 10 of the present embodiment, the housing 11 has a pair of opposed first side walls 21 provided with fitting holes 23 on each inner surface, and the holding members 40 are fitted into the fitting holes 23, respectively. A pair of shaft portions 55 are provided. Therefore, the holding member 40 can be rotatably supported with respect to the housing 11 with a simple configuration.

In the male connector 10 of this embodiment, when the holding member 40 is in the temporary locking position, the first locking portion 56 of the holding member 40 is locked to the third locking portion 25 of the housing 11. Accordingly, it is possible to realize a simple configuration in which the holding member 40 is kept stationary at the temporary locking position.

In the male connector 10 of the present embodiment, the direction of the opening 35 in which the female connector 5 is inserted into the housing portion 34 is orthogonal to the rotation axis L of the holding member 40 and parallel to the mounting surface of the housing 11 with respect to the base body 1. It is. Accordingly, the user can easily grasp the insertion direction of the female connector 5 into the housing 11, so that work efficiency can be improved.

In the male connector 10 of this embodiment, the male terminal 60 has a press-fit portion that is press-fitted into the holding member 40, and the male terminal 60 is held by the holding member 40 in the press-fit portion. Therefore, the male terminal 60 can be easily fixed to the holding member 40.

In the male connector 10 of the present embodiment, the holding member 40 has a cover portion 50 that extends along the male terminal 60 and covers the opposite side of the male terminal 60 from the base 1 when the holding member 40 is in the final locking position. . Therefore, it is possible to prevent the male terminal 60 from coming into contact with the external member when the holding member 40 is in the final locking position. In addition, dust and the like can be prevented from adhering to the male terminal 60.

In the male connector 10 of this embodiment, the male terminal 60 is bent in a substantially U shape, a first region 62 extending from one end of the bent region 61, and a first contact 63 is formed. The second region 68 extends from the other end of the bent region 61 and has a second contact 69 formed therein. Thereby, the male terminal 60 can be made into a simple structure.

In the male connector 10 of the present embodiment, the male terminal 60 is provided with a plurality of second regions 68 whose positions with respect to the first region 62 are independently changed by elastic deformation of the male terminal 60. Accordingly, since the contact area can be prevented from decreasing when the surface of the conductive film 2 is uneven, the contact reliability of the male terminal 60 with respect to the conductive film 2 can be improved.

In the male connector 10 of the present embodiment, for example, when the glass for a vehicle is the base body 1, the connector of the present invention can be applied.

Next, a modification of the above-described embodiment will be described.

In the embodiment described above, the housing 11 can be fixed to the base body 1 by providing the back side recess 14 for applying the adhesive on the back surface of the housing 11. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and as shown in FIG. 16, at least one metal reinforcing member for fixing the housing 111 to the base body 1 with an adhesive (in this modification, two reinforcing members 75a and 75b). ) May be attached to the housing 111. In this modification, as shown in FIG. 17, two reinforcing members 75 a and 75 b are formed in the housing 111 at positions separated in the longitudinal direction of the housing 111 so as to sandwich the two pairs of side walls 21 and 30. Two grooves 71a and 71b are provided. The housing 111 is reinforced by the reinforcing members 75a and 75b, and the housing 111 is not easily damaged. Further, since the reinforcing members 75a and 75b are fitted in the grooves 71a and 71b, the reinforcing members 75a and 75b are unlikely to be displaced.

The groove 71 a closer to the second side wall 30 than the groove 71 b is formed from both side surfaces 72 of the housing portion 34 to the back surface of the bottom plate 112. On the bottom surface of the region corresponding to the side surface 72 of the groove 71a, a locking projection 74a that protrudes outward is provided. The bottom surface of the region corresponding to the back surface of the bottom plate 12 of the groove 71 a extends linearly in the width direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the bottom plate 112.

A pair of third side walls 73 facing in the width direction are provided on the opposite side of the first side wall 21 of the housing 111 from the second side wall 30. The pair of third side walls 73 are formed in a plate shape that rises vertically upward from the long side edge of the bottom plate 112. The groove 71 b closer to the first side wall 21 than the groove 71 a is formed from both the third side walls 73 to the back surface of the bottom plate 112. A locking projection 74b is provided on the bottom surface of the region corresponding to the third side wall 73 of the groove 71b. The bottom surface of the region corresponding to the back surface of the bottom plate 112 of the groove 71b extends linearly in the width direction of the bottom plate 112.

Two ribs 78 that swell in a hemispherical shape are formed at two corners on the back surface of the bottom plate 112 in the vicinity of the groove 71a. Two ribs 78 that swell in a hemispherical shape are juxtaposed in the width direction in the region of the back surface of the bottom plate 112 in the vicinity of the groove 71b and on the opposite side of the groove 71b from the groove 71a. The height of the four ribs 78 (more specifically, the height from the plane defining the inlet opening of the groove 71a) is the length obtained by subtracting the depth of the grooves 71a and 71b from the thickness of the reinforcing members 75a and 75b. Is also preferably large. In the present modification, these ribs 78 may not be formed.

Reinforcing members 75a and 75b have plate portions 76a and 76b extending linearly, and two arm portions 77a and 77b extending vertically upward from both ends of plate portions 76a and 76b, respectively. In this modification, the two arm portions 77a and 77b extend perpendicular to the plate portions 76a and 76b, respectively, but the present invention is not limited to this. The arm portions 77a and 77b are respectively formed with locking holes 79a and 79b having a square shape when viewed from the front. In this modification, the thickness of the reinforcing members 75a and 75b is the same as that of the grooves 71a and 71b. Note that the reinforcing members 75a and 75b may be composed of only the plate portions 76a and 76b without the arm portions 77a and 77b, and a structure for locking the plate portions 76a and 76b to the bottom surface of the housing 111 may be provided.

As shown in FIG. 18, when the two reinforcing members 75a and 75b are attached to the housing 111, the locking protrusions 74a and 74b of the housing 111 are locked to the locking holes 79a and 79b of the reinforcing members 75a and 75b. Yes. The plate portions 76 a and 76 b of the reinforcing members 75 a and 75 b constitute the back surface of the housing 111 together with the bottom plate 112.

In order to fix the housing 111 to the base body 1, as shown in FIG. 19, an adhesive is applied to the rectangular regions A1 and A2 including the plate portions 76a and 76b of the reinforcing members 75a and 75b. As a result, the housing 111 can be fixed to the base 1 via the adhesive. The plate portions 76 a and 76 b of the two reinforcing members 75 a and 75 b face the conductive film 2 in a state where the housing 111 is fixed to the base 1. That is, since the two metal members are bonded with an adhesive, the housing 111 can be firmly fixed to the base 1 as compared with the case where the metal member and the resin member are bonded. Further, since the types of usable adhesives are increased as compared with the case where the metal member and the resin member are bonded, it is possible to use a low-cost adhesive having a strong adhesive force. In particular, in the present modification, as shown in FIG. 19, the two reinforcing members 75a and 75b are arranged at positions sandwiching the male terminal 60 when the holding member 40 is in the final locking position. Thereby, the fixing of the housing 111 to the base body 1 can be made more reliable.

When the housing 111 is fixed to the base body 1, the conductive film 2 and the plate portions 76a and 76b face each other with four ribs 78 with a gap therebetween, and an adhesive is filled therebetween. Thus, in this modification, since the gap is reliably provided between the metal conductive film 2 and the metal reinforcement members 75a and 75b by the four ribs 78, the conductive film 2 and the reinforcement members 75a and 75b. The amount of adhesive between the first and second members can be surely set to a predetermined amount or more, and the housing 111 can be more firmly fixed to the base 1.
