Description

The present invention relates to a repellent tape for molluscs, and more particularly to a repellent tape for molluscs belonging to gastropods such as slugs, snails, etc. that cause damage to plant shoots, flowers, leaves, fruits and the like.

Many plants such as vegetables, edible mushrooms, flowering trees are cultivated in outdoor cultivation and house cultivation. In these plants, shoots, flowers, leaves and fruits are often damaged by slugs and snails. Especially in house cultivation, the watering frequency is high, and slugs, snails, etc. are parasitized in a humid environment, and there is a problem that they are damaged by shoots.
Synthetic drugs containing paraformaldehyde or metaldehyde as active ingredients are known as methods for preventing these food damages. However, this drug is intended for the control of insect pests and insecticides, but it has a strong medicinal effect, but if it adheres to plants, it may damage the plants. There are many problems, such as the necessity of avoiding the influence on pets and the fact that the effect is not sustained by being washed away by watering or raining.

In order to solve this problem, for example, the squeezed rice cake after squeezing the vegetable oil from the seeds of the camellia plant has a repellent effect on slugs and snails, and the granulated squeezed cocoon is used as a repellent. This is also known (Patent Document 1). The medicinal component of this repellent is considered to be saponin. However, these solid squeezed squeezed troughs suffer from a decrease in medicinal effects due to scattering by the wind and burial in the soil. In addition, the granulated product is uneven in effect due to the unevenness of the applied medicine as well as being buried in the soil. Furthermore, the medicinal effect is greatly reduced with time. Especially, the medicinal component is discharged due to rain, and the subsequent effect is greatly reduced.

In addition, it has been proposed that saponin is attached to a synthetic resin tape or sheet coated with an adhesive on the back surface (Patent Document 2). However, when the synthetic resin tape is used as the surface, the medicinal effect is insufficient. Degradation of medicinal effect is large.

Furthermore, as means for solving the above-mentioned problems, an extract from the oil lees squeezed with camellia plant seeds is used as an aqueous resin, for example, a water-soluble acrylic resin, a water-soluble polyester, a water-soluble polyurethane, a water-soluble alkyd resin, A mollusc repellent sheet is disclosed in which a coating solution contained in a water-soluble epoxy resin or the like is applied to a sheet-like member and dried and / or heat-treated, or the resin is cured by crosslinking or the like to improve strength and water resistance. (Patent Document 3). However, this repellent sheet has a complicated manufacturing process, and the cured resin not only has high rigidity and poor handleability, but also has no familiarity with the ground, and therefore has a poor medicinal effect. In addition, the water-based resin cured product evaporates water, which is a dispersant, during the curing process, resulting in the formation of fine pores on the surface and the initial medicinal effect, but the effect after rain and water spraying. The decline is large and the sustainability is not enough.

In view of such circumstances, the present invention eliminates the above-mentioned problems of the prior art, has no decrease in medicinal effect due to watering or rainfall, is highly flexible, and can be wrapped around the trunk or branch of fruit vegetables, so that the medicinal effect is effective. In addition, when a resin with low compatibility with saponin is used, saponin migrates from the inside of the resin film to the surface with the passage of time, and exhibits a uniform medicinal effect over a long period of time. It is another object of the present invention to provide a mollusc repellent tape that can be easily manufactured by extrusion molding or extrusion laminating.

As a result of diligent research, the present inventors have found that a repellent tape for mollusks comprising a thermoplastic resin film containing saponin or a repellent tape for mollusks in which the film is laminated on a substrate can solve the above-mentioned problems. 10. The above-mentioned repellent tape for mollusks, wherein the base material layer is provided with an adhesive layer.
11. A method of using a repellent tape for mollusks, characterized in that the repellent tape for molluscs is wrapped around the trunk or branch of fruit vegetables.

According to the repellent tape for mollusks of the present invention (hereinafter sometimes referred to simply as “repellent tape”), there is no decrease in medicinal effect due to scattering by wind or burial in the soil, and saponin is caused by water spray or rain. Is not washed away, so that the medicinal effect lasts for a long time.

In addition, since the resin is not cross-linked or thermoset, it is highly flexible and can be wound around the trunk or branch of fruit vegetables, so that the medicinal effect is effectively exhibited.

Polyethylene and low-density polyethylene as thermoplastic resins are not compatible with saponin, so saponin migrates from the film (migrate) and can maintain a uniform repellent effect over a long period of time. .

In addition, the lamination with the base material layer facilitates the manufacture of the repellent tape and increases the strength. Use of paper as the substrate layer is advantageous because saponin is released from the gap between the fibers of the paper and exhibits a medicinal effect.

The saponins used in the present invention are glycosides composed of sapogenins and sugars, and are included in various plants such as Soybean. The pure one is a white powder, a hydrophilic and lipophilic amphoteric substance, but the powder obtained by extracting it from the oil mill after the extraction of camellia plant seeds such as camellia, tea, sasanqua, etc. Can be used. Moreover, as a commercial item, it is sold by Tokyo Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. under the trade name “Saponin” and can be used.

As the thermoplastic resin containing saponin, when it is made into a film, a resin rich in flexibility is preferable from the viewpoint of winding around a trunk or branch of fruit vegetables.
Moreover, it is preferable that the compatibility with saponin is not good from the viewpoint of transferring saponin from the film to the surface for sustained release. As such a thermoplastic resin, polyolefin resins such as polyethylene, particularly low density polyethylene, linear low density polyethylene, and copolymers thereof are preferable. Polyolefin resins are preferred because they have a low environmental impact and are inexpensive. Furthermore, polyester elastomers can also be used. Further, from the viewpoint of further environmental friendliness and low load, biodegradable plastics such as polylactic acid, polyamide 11 and polyhydroxybutyric acid and biomass plastics can be used.

The amount of saponin blended in the resin tends to decrease the film formability although the repellency increases as the amount of saponin increases. Therefore, it is appropriately determined in consideration of the desired repellent effect, the type of resin, the molding method, and the like. Usually, 4-35% is preferable on a weight basis, 15-35% is more preferable, and 20-35% is still more preferable. If it is less than 4%, the repellent effect is not sufficient, and if it exceeds 35%, foaming due to moisture may occur during film forming, processing, or extrusion lamination onto a substrate due to the hygroscopicity of saponin, which may make processing difficult. . Therefore, it is possible to add a large amount exceeding 35% by sufficiently drying saponin or a saponin-containing resin in advance.

If necessary, an additive such as an antioxidant, an ultraviolet absorber, a light stabilizer, an antistatic agent, a plasticizer, and a filler can be added to the saponin-containing resin.
By blending a saponin-containing resin with a filler, the permeation, migration and release of saponin from the film can be adjusted, and the period during which the repellent effect is exhibited can be adjusted. Examples of such fillers include heavy calcium carbonate, light calcium carbonate, diatomaceous earth, silica, talc, and sericite.

As described above, the saponin and the resin containing an additive as necessary are formed into a film by a known method, but extrusion molding is preferred. Moreover, this film can also be laminated | stacked on a base material layer as needed, and an extrusion lamination process is preferable as a lamination | stacking method.
As the base material layer, paper, plastic film such as polyethylene, foam of plastic film, natural fiber or synthetic fiber fabric, non-woven fabric, etc. can be used. Among these, paper, fabric, non-woven fabric are used. In particular, paper is preferable in that it is excellent in extrusion laminate processability with a thermoplastic resin containing saponin. By using these as the base material layer, saponin is released from the gap between the fibers, so that a repellent effect can be obtained from the side in contact with the base material layer, and the repellent tape of the present invention can be used as a fruit vegetable trunk or When used by wrapping around a branch, these base material layers also expand as the trunk and branches grow, so that the surname following the trunk and branches is good.

In the present invention, the thickness of the saponin-containing thermoplastic resin film is not particularly limited, but if it is too thick, it will be difficult to wrap the repellent tape around the trunk and branches, while if it is too thin, the strength will be insufficient. Tend. Therefore, generally, about 3-80 micrometers is preferable and about 5-50 micrometers is more preferable.
The width of the thermoplastic resin film containing saponin is not particularly limited, but if it is too large or too small, it tends to be difficult to wind the repellent tape around the trunk or branch. Therefore, generally about 0.5-30 cm is preferable and about 2-30 cm is more preferable. Moreover, it is also preferable to make a perforation as a large width so that it can be appropriately cut according to the trunk or branch to be wound.
In addition, if the thickness of the base material layer is too thick, it is difficult to wind the repellent tape around the trunk or branch. On the other hand, if the thickness is too thin, the strength is insufficient. Therefore, the thickness is usually preferably about 10 to 150 μm. Is 10 to 130 μm.

Extrusion molding and extrusion laminating process may be performed at a temperature as low as possible since there is a risk that the saponin is excessively heated to reduce the medicinal effect or to be invalidated. For example, in the case of polyethylene, the temperature is about 170 to 220 ° C. Is appropriate. If necessary, the substrate layer can be subjected to corona treatment or the like to enhance the adhesion to the film.

Moreover, the thermoplastic resin film containing a saponin can improve the release | release property and sustained release property of the saponin in a film by providing a pore.
The pores can be provided by stretching a thermoplastic resin film containing saponin, opening a hole with a needle, or the like. If the pores are too large, sustained release cannot be expected, and the medicinal effect is deteriorated after raining or watering, which may cause a problem in the sustainability of the repellent effect. Therefore, it is better that the pores are small. Usually, the average diameter of the pores is preferably about 0.02 to 5 μm, more preferably about 0.1 to 2 μm.

The repellent tape of the present invention is preferably provided with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the thermoplastic resin film containing saponin, or when the substrate layer has a base material layer.
The pressure-sensitive adhesive may be any of rubber-based, acrylic-based, silicone-based, urethane-based, and the like. Among these, a rubber-based or urethane-based adhesive is preferable because of its good degradability.
If the thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is too thin, the adhesive strength becomes insufficient. On the other hand, if the thickness is too thick, for example, when the repellent tape is punched into a desired shape, the adhesive is likely to protrude or fail to punch. Tend to be inferior. Therefore, usually about 2-30 micrometers is preferable and about 2-20 micrometers is more preferable.

The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is formed by applying and drying a pressure-sensitive adhesive on a thermoplastic resin film containing a saponin or a base material layer, and drying.
As a coating method, a roll coating method such as reverse coating or gravure coating, a spin coating method, a screen coating method, a dipping method, a spray method, or the like is employed. Further, release paper or the like can be further laminated on the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer for convenience in use.

The repellent tape of the present invention may be placed in a place where it is desired to avoid (prevent approach) slugs, etc., for example, it is used in pots, planters, etc. It can be avoided directly and effectively. As a winding method, the repellent tape having no pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is a method in which both ends are stapled or bonded after being wound around the trunk or branch of fruit vegetables, and the repellent tape having a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. The method of sticking to the trunk and branch of fruit vegetables etc. can be employ | adopted.

EXAMPLES Hereinafter, although an Example and a comparative example are given and this invention is demonstrated further in detail, this invention is not restrict | limited at all by these. The repellent effect of the repellent tape was evaluated by the following method.
Test method for repellent effect:
40cm x 40cm x 30cm (height) wooden box with a drain outlet at the bottom, 30cm long by 5cm wide repellent tape at the center, 30cm outside length and 20cm inside length A 5 cm square frame-shaped (b-shaped) repellent tape was placed. About 10 g of a commercially available oil candy was placed as an attractant for mollusks in the center of the inner side of the frame-shaped repellent tape. In addition, 10 slugs were placed outside the frame-shaped repellent tape and left for 6 hours at a temperature of 25 ° C. and a relative humidity of 65%. Water spraying was carried out with a gardening fountain at 3 hours after the start of the test.
Example 7
In Example 1, without using unbleached kraft paper, 20% by weight of saponin was blended with LLDPE, and a T-die extruder was used to extrude a 30 μm-thick film without having a base material layer and an adhesive layer. A repellent tape for mollusks made of a single film containing saponin was prepared.

Comparative Example 1
Except that the saponin was not added to the LLDPE resin, the LLDPE resin was extruded on one side of the unexposed kraft paper at a die temperature of 210 ° C. using a T-die extruder in the same manner as in Example 1. The kraft paper was laminated so as to have a thickness of about 20 μm, and an adhesive layer was further provided on the kraft paper to prepare a repellent tape for mollusks.

A sample 30 cm long by 5 cm wide was cut out from the repellent tape for molluscs obtained in Examples 1 to 7 and Comparative Example 1 and tested according to the test method for the repellent effect. The test results are shown in Table 1.

Figure 2017114821
Figure 2017114821

As is apparent from the results in Table 1, the mollusc repellent tape of the present invention represented by Examples 1 to 7 exhibits an excellent repellent effect. From the comparison between Example 4 (laminate) and Example 7 (single film), there is a difference in the repellent effect between the mollusc repellent tape composed of the laminate and the mollusc repellent tape composed of the film alone. It is not allowed.

Example of Use A sample (10 cm × 10 cm) was obtained from the mollusc repellent tape obtained in Examples 1 to 7 and Comparative Example 1 above, and 10 cm on the trunk (stem) (diameter about 2 cm) close to the surface of the tomato soil. Wrapped with a width (length) of. In addition, since the repellent tape of Example 7 does not have an adhesive layer, it was stopped with a stapler so that the repellent tape would not slip off after being wound.
When the repellent effect of slugs was examined after one month, the same results as in the repellent test were obtained.

As described above, according to the repellent tape for mollusks of the present invention, there is no decrease in medicinal effect due to watering or rain, it is highly flexible and can be wound around the trunk or branch of fruit vegetables, so that the medicinal effect is effectively exhibited. Is done.
Further, when a resin that is not compatible with saponin is used, the saponin is transferred from the inside of the resin film to the surface and is released slowly, so that the medicinal effect is maintained for a long period of time.
In addition, when laminated with the base material layer, the production is easy and the strength is improved. Furthermore, when paper or polyethylene nonwoven fabric is used as the base material layer, saponin is released from the gap between the fibers. Therefore, not only can the repellent effect be obtained from the side in contact with the base material layer, but when the repellent tape of the present invention is used by being wrapped around the trunk or branch of fruit vegetables, these are adapted to the growth of the trunk or branch. Since the base material layer also stretches, the follow-up name to the trunk and branches is good.
Furthermore, by providing the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, the repellent tape can be easily wrapped around the trunk and branches of fruit vegetables, so that handling and workability are improved.
