Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a parallax barrier member used in a stereoscopic video display device and a parallax barrier member.
In recent years, stereoscopic video display devices (so-called naked-eye 3D displays) that allow viewers to view stereoscopic video with the naked eye without using special glasses have been put into practical use. A parallax barrier method is known as one of the three-dimensional video display methods. In the parallax barrier method, the stereoscopic video display device displays a plurality of images with different viewpoints, and the light rays of these images are guided to the viewer's eyes while the output direction is controlled by the parallax barrier member. Since the viewer sees different parallax images between the left eye and the right eye, the viewer can recognize the image three-dimensionally.
The parallax barrier member is provided with a transmission region that transmits light and a light shielding region that does not transmit light in a predetermined pattern. Due to the presence of the light-shielding region, the stereoscopic video display device has lower brightness than a normal video display device (2D display). In order to suppress the decrease in luminance, it is necessary to increase the luminance of the backlight, so that power consumption increases.
In order to suppress a decrease in luminance without increasing power consumption, it has been proposed to use a parallax barrier member provided with a highly reflective layer on the backlight side of the light shielding region (see, for example, Patent Document 1). As a result, the light traveling from the backlight toward the light shielding region is reflected by the high reflection layer, and the reflected light is reflected again by the backlight and directed toward the transmission region, whereby the light can be efficiently used.

A region where the
However, when aligning the exposure mask, the
In order to accurately read the
The present invention has been made in consideration of the above points, and a parallax barrier member manufacturing method and a parallax barrier member capable of forming a highly reflective layer and a black layer with high positional accuracy without complicating the manufacturing process.

FIG. 3 is an enlarged longitudinal sectional view showing a part of the
As the
The highly
The highly
The highly
このような密着層として、ITO(Indium Tin Oxide)又はIZO(Indium Zinc Oxide)などのインジウム系酸化物を用いてもよい。
In the case of using a material containing silver, it is preferable to provide an adhesion layer between the
The
The

As will be described later, the
The black layer material is not particularly limited as long as it has a desired light-shielding property, and examples thereof include a resin composition containing a black colorant such as carbon black and titanium black. As the resin used in this resin composition, for example, a photosensitive resin having a photoreactive double bond group such as acrylate, methacrylate, cinnamic acid, or cyclized rubber is used.
The
With the
Since the width w1 of the

First, as shown in FIG. 4A, the
[Black layer formation process]
Next, as shown in FIG. 4B, a
Although not shown, specifically, the
Next, the photosensitive black layer coating solution applied on the
Next, exposure is performed by irradiating the black layer material with exposure light through an exposure mask having an opening and a light shielding portion. Here, high-precision alignment of the exposure mask is not necessary. As a result of the exposure, the portion irradiated with the exposure light in the black layer material is cured.
Thereafter, the exposed black layer material is developed with a developer, and thereby the portion of the black layer material that has not been irradiated with the exposure light is dissolved in the developer.
Finally, the black layer material remaining on the

Next, as shown in FIG. 4C, the
[Exposure mask positioning process]
Next, an exposure mask is positioned based on the position of the alignment mark
[Exposure process and development process]
Next, the resist
Next, as shown in FIG. 5A, the exposed resist
[Etching process]
Next, as shown in FIG. 5B, the
Since the resist
When an indium alloy film is formed on the
A method for etching the
Finally, the resist
As described above, according to the present embodiment, the
Thus, since the resist
Further, a resist
Here, the photosensitive wavelength region of the resist
Therefore, the exposure mask can be accurately aligned with the
At this time, since it is not necessary to cover only a part of the region on the
Further, the resist
