Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a water softening device that removes hardness components of raw water such as tap water and softens the water.
Generally, a cation exchange resin is used for softening tap water or the like. Since the exchange capacity of the cation exchange resin decreases when the cation exchange resin is continuously used, the regeneration is performed by passing recycled water (for example, salt water).
The water softening device equipped with a cation exchange resin increases in size when the capacity of the cation exchange resin is increased, but the frequency of regeneration of the cation exchange resin decreases. On the other hand, if the capacity of the cation exchange resin is reduced, the apparatus becomes smaller, but the frequency of regeneration of the cation exchange resin increases.
The softened water has an effect of suppressing generation of “soap residue” generated by combining the soap and the hardness component by removing the hardness component. Further, along with this, effects such as “reducing dirt around the water”, “reducing the amount of use of soap and shampoo” and “friendly to hair and skin” are known.
Conventional water softeners are relatively large for household use, have a capacity of about 10L of cation exchange resin, and have the ability to soften the entire area of water in a detached house (for detached houses) and cation Some exchange resins have a capacity of around 5 L, and have the ability to branch from a mixing faucet in the bathroom and soften the shower (for showers).
The water softening device for detached houses automatically controls regeneration, but is expensive, and is used for users who have serious skin problems such as atopy and sensitive skin. On the other hand, although the water softening device for showers is relatively inexpensive, it is necessary for the user to perform complicated valve operations in order to perform the regeneration operation. Further, the conventional water softening device for shower has a problem that the appearance is a simple tank shape and there is a sense of incongruity in the bathroom. Further, the capacity of the cation exchange resin of about 5 L is too large in the bathroom, and the shower momentum becomes worse in winter.
Thus, while soft water has many benefits, water softeners have advantages and disadvantages for both detached houses and showers, and are not widely used in Japan.
As a water softening device for showers, techniques disclosed in
The technique of
The technology described in Patent Document 2 is an apparatus equipped with an automatic regeneration valve, and automates regeneration using an electrical means for the valve. In this technique, the salt water tank is a separate body and is open to the atmosphere, which is likely to be unsanitary. In addition, the valve is complicated and costly. When installing in a bathroom, it is necessary to take measures such as preventing electric shock from electrical means.
The technique described in Patent Document 3 is a device that manually switches a plurality of valves and repeats water softening and regeneration. However, the operation is complicated and troublesome. Further, the ion exchange resin container, the valve, and the salt water container are exposed and the appearance is not taken into consideration.

Further, the
Hereinafter, each part will be described in detail.
<Ion exchange resin part>
The ion exchange resin portion 3 includes a cation exchange resin 2 that softens water and a
The cation exchange resin 2 removes calcium ions (Ca 2+ ) and magnesium ions (Mg 2+ ) in tap water. As an example, in the base of the cation exchange resin 2, Na + which is a cation is bonded to an anion (R—SO 3 − ) in an initial stage. When tap water is introduced into the cation exchange resin, ion exchange starts, and Ca 2+ and Mg 2+ are adsorbed by the cation exchange resin 2 and release Na + instead. Thereby, Ca <2+> and Mg <2+ > which are hardness components are removed, and water is softened.
In addition, since the exchange capacity of the cation exchange resin 2 decreases when the cation exchange resin 2 is continuously used, regeneration is performed by passing recycled water (for example, salt water). In the cation exchange resin 2, for example, when salt water having a high concentration of 5 to 20% is passed, the ion exchange capacity is reversed, and Na + is adsorbed on the cation exchange resin 2. Instead, Ca 2+ and Mg 2+ are absorbed. Released. Thereby, the cation exchange resin 2 is restored to the initial state, and the cation exchange function is regenerated. In this way, the water softening device is used by repeatedly performing water softening and regeneration.

The capacity of the cation exchange resin 2 is preferably 90% or more of the volume between the
The cation exchange resin 2 is preferably a fine particle type having a particle size distribution of 150 μm to 355 μm of 95% or more. Generally, the cation exchange resin 2 having a particle size of 300 to 1180 μm is appropriately blended. When the particle size of the cation exchange resin 2 is large, the ion exchange performance is deteriorated when the flow rate of the passing water is large. On the other hand, when the particle size of the cation exchange resin 2 is small, the ion exchange performance can be enhanced even when the flow rate of the passing water is large. The ion exchange resin portion 3 of the present embodiment can enhance the ion exchange performance by the fine particle type cation exchange resin 2.
<タンク>

The

As shown in FIG. 1, the

As shown in FIG. 8, the unit

In addition, since the screw diameter of the shower hose connection port of the mixing faucet differs depending on the faucet manufacturer, it is desirable to use an adapter that converts the diameter if the inlet joint and outlet joint of the device do not match .

陽イオン交換樹脂2の再生レベルが、100g/L−R(樹脂(Resin)1L当たり100gの再生剤)の場合、B.T.Cap≒50gCaCO3/L−R(樹脂1L当たり、CaCO3換算で50gの硬度成分を除去)である。
<Detailed configuration of ion exchange resin part>
Next, the detailed structure of the ion exchange resin part 3 is demonstrated concretely.
The performance of the cation exchange resin 2 in the ion exchange resin portion 3 is generally represented by a breakthrough capacity (BT Cap). In the case where the regeneration level of the cation exchange resin 2 is 100 g / LR (100 g of regenerant per 1 liter of resin (Resin)), T.A. Cap≈50 g CaCO 3 / LR (removing 50 g hardness component in terms of CaCO 3 per 1 L of resin). When the playback level is 150 g / LR, T.A. Cap≈57 g CaCO 3 / LR. In this specification, the unit of liter is expressed as “L”.
The amount of soft water S (L) obtained per regeneration of the water softening device is as follows: raw water hardness is T H0 (mgCaCO 3 / L; hereinafter referred to as mg / L), and the capacity of the cation exchange resin is V (L). Is expressed by the following formula (1).
According to Formula (1), for example, in the case of raw water hardness of 80 mg / L and resin of 1 L, S = 625 (L), but it is estimated that the capacity is practically about 70 to 80%. Calculated when 531.3 L of soft water is obtained.
As the regenerant for regenerating the cation exchange resin 2, sodium chloride (NaCl) is preferably used because it is safe and inexpensive. Further, potassium chloride (KCl) or hydrochloric acid (HCl) may be used as a regenerant. When sodium chloride is used as a regenerant, salt water (sodium chloride aqueous solution) in which sodium chloride is dissolved in water is used as the regenerant. The concentration of the aqueous sodium chloride solution is preferably 5% or more and 15% or less, and the efficiency is most preferably around 10%. For example, B.I. T. T. To obtain Cap≈50 g / L-R, when the capacity of the cation exchange resin 2 is 1 L, 100 g of sodium chloride is required, and 900 mL of water is required to obtain a concentration of 10%.
According to the hardness distribution of water treatment plants nationwide in Japan, the hardness of 0 to 140mg / L water treatment plant is 98.6% of the total water treatment plant, and as a water softening device, if it can secure the performance that can sufficiently soften water within that range I know it ’s good. Further, the amount of water used in a general household is said to be 1000 L / day for a family of four, and of these, the amount of shower used is said to be 200 L / day. From the above, as performance that should be provided as a minimum as a water softening device, it is desirable to obtain soft water of 1000 L or more for detached houses and 200 L or more for showers for one regeneration when the raw water hardness is 140 mg / L. . Of course, the performance may be less than that, but the frequency of reproduction becomes more frequent than once a day, and the usability becomes worse. In addition, the hardness range of soft water is defined as
The shape of the cation exchange resin 2 is generally substantially spherical. Moreover, the cation exchange resin 2 is prescribed | regulated by a particle size, a particle size distribution, and a uniformity coefficient. When the particle size is large, the pressure loss of the layer of the cation exchange resin 2 is small, but when the flow rate of water passing through is large, the ion exchange performance is deteriorated. On the other hand, when the particle size is small, the pressure loss increases, but even if the flow rate of the passing water is large, the ion exchange performance is ensured to some extent. This relationship is organized by space velocity (Space Verocity; SV value). When the capacity of the cation exchange resin 2 is V (L) and the flow rate of water is Q (L / min), the SV value (1 / h) is expressed by the following formula (2).
Generally, there are a fluidized bed and a fixed bed as an installation form of the cation exchange resin inside the tank, and a fixed bed is adopted in the
First, the characteristics of the fluidized bed will be described. In the fluidized bed, the capacity of the cation exchange resin is less than 90% with respect to the space containing the cation exchange resin inside the tank, and the cation exchange resin is caused to flow by the flow of water inside the tank. According to the fluidized bed, the SV value can be reduced to reduce the pressure loss, but the tank is increased in size. In the case of a conventional water softening device for a shower, when a general shower flow rate is 10 L / min, the SV value is 80 to 120 / h, and the capacity of the cation exchange resin is stored in the tank by about 5 to 7 L. . In a bathroom, which is a limited space, it is quite large. In the fluidized bed, the pressure loss can be made extremely small, but the pressure loss of the mounted valves and pipes affects the entire water softening device.
On the other hand, the fixed bed employed in the present embodiment has a capacity of 90% or more of the cation exchange resin 2 with respect to the space (the internal space of the case member 4) that houses the cation exchange resin 2 inside the
According to the experiments by the present inventors, the fluidized bed uses a cation exchange resin having an average diameter of 600 ± 50 μm, SV value = 300 (/ h; cation exchange resin capacity 2 L, water flow rate 10 L / min. ), When the raw water hardness is 80 mg / L, the hardness of the water that has passed through the cation exchange resin is 0 mg / L. On the other hand, when water was passed at SV value = 500 (/ h; cation exchange resin capacity 1.2 L, water flow rate 10 L / min), the hardness of water passed through the cation exchange resin when the raw water hardness was 80 mg / L. Is 10 to 15 mg / L, which indicates that the SV value exceeds the capacity of the cation exchange resin. The pressure loss was 0.01 MPa or less at a flow rate of 10 L / min. Even when a cation exchange resin having a particle size distribution of 150 to 355 μm and having a particle size distribution of 95% or more is used, the SV value = 500 was the limit.
On the other hand, in the fixed bed, when a fine cation exchange resin having a particle size distribution of 150 to 355 μm and a particle size distribution of 95% or more is used, SV value = 1105 (/ h; cation exchange resin capacity 543 mL, water Even when the flow rate is 10 L / min), the hardness of water that has passed through the cation exchange resin becomes 0 mg / L. If the SV value is 650 or less, the amount of soft water obtained is also increased. The pressure loss was 0.03 MPa when the flow rate was 10 L / min. For example, in the fluidized bed, if the limit of the SV value is 300, the necessary capacity of the cation exchange resin is 2L or more. However, in the fixed bed, if the SV value is set to 650, it can be 1L or less. . By using a fixed floor in this way, it is possible to reduce the size of the water softening device.
In summary, in order to obtain 200 L or more of soft water in one regeneration with a raw water hardness of 140 mg / L, the capacity of the cation exchange resin is calculated to be 800 mL or more. At this time, if the filling of the cation exchange resin is 90%, the space in which the cation exchange resin inside the tank is accommodated is 900 mL or more. Actually, it is desirable that the capacity of the cation exchange resin is 800 to 1200 mL and the space is 900 to 1300 mL.
As a water heater for supplying water (hot water) to the
As described above, in the fixed bed, the entire water flow passes through the cation exchange resin layer, so the pressure loss tends to increase. However, by reducing the thickness of the layer, the pressure loss can be kept small. Can do. More specifically, when the flow rate Q is 10 L / min, the pressure loss when the layer thickness is 75 mm is 45 kPa, and the pressure loss when the layer thickness is 100 mm is 60 kPa. The pressure loss at a flow rate Q = 10 L / min is preferably 60 kPa or less, and according to this, the layer thickness is preferably 100 mm or less. In consideration of individual differences in pressure loss, the layer thickness is more preferably 75 mm or less.

Regeneration of the water softening device 1 (that is, regeneration of the cation exchange resin 2) is performed by passing the regenerated liquid from the regenerated
As the regenerating solution, a solution in which water and granular sodium chloride are mixed can be used. The amount of sodium chloride used for regeneration is desirably 80 g to 180 g, assuming that the regeneration level is 100 to 150 g / LR, and is dissolved in water so that the concentration at that time is adjusted to 5 to 15%. desirable. Moreover, it is preferable that the average particle diameter of granular sodium chloride shall be 150 micrometers or more and 250 micrometers or less. In general, sodium chloride marketed as sodium chloride has an average particle size of about 395 μm. When a fine particle type sodium chloride having an average particle size of 150 μm or more and 250 μm or less is used, dissolution in water is quick and convenience is good.
Further, in order to simplify the work of the user with the regeneration, a predetermined amount of
As shown in FIG. 9B, the user puts
