基板と該基板に対して開閉自在かつ着脱可能に設けられた開閉板とを備えたメダル選別装置であって、
前記開閉板を前記基板に対して回転可能とする支軸および軸受部と、
前記基板あるいは前記開閉板に係合して、前記開閉板を前記基板側に付勢すると共に前記開閉板と前記基板とを連結させる付勢部材と、
前記基板および前記開閉板にそれぞれ形成された、前記支軸を回転支点とする前記開閉板の開動作に伴い互いに接触する接触部と、を備え、
前記軸受部は、前記接触部が互いに接触した状態で前記開閉板がさらに開動作されると、前記支軸から離隔するように構成され、
前記開閉板は、前記開閉板の開動作の量に応じて回転支点が前記支軸から前記接触部の接触箇所へ切り換わり、
前記付勢部材による係合が、前記接触箇所を回転支点とする前記開閉板の開動作が所定角度を超えると解除されることを特徴とするメダル選別装置。
