これは、電池と電池ボックス(16)、昇圧回路(15)、マスク背面に向かって左側下に儲けたOn/Offスイッチ(19)、電圧調節ツマミ(17)がマスク本体側に組み込まれ、マスク本体に着脱出来る4cm程度の電動ファン(10)2基を水平方向に取り付ける空気対流ファン固定カバー(8)及び、それらを回路として接続する為の配線材等で構成されたものである。
電池は、使いやすく軽量である事を考慮し、汎用の単4型を4個使用し、マスク両側の後方下側に電池2本用の電池ボックスをそれぞれ設置し、マスク内側のカバー(3)に儲けた電池交換用蓋を開けて、電池をセットする。
対流用電動ファン(10)は、直径4cm程度の2基の電動ファンを使用し、それを固定する筐体カバー(8)、マスク本体との接続固定具(9)と、そこに取り付けた電動ファンへの電力供給用金具、それに電動ファン駆動時に、ファンの空気吸い込み口に、フィルター紙が吸われて隙間が無くならない様に、フィルター側のファン入口部に枠(11)を設けて空気の流入を確保するようにした。
それと、回路を接続する配線材からなる。
(ハ)外気は、マスク前面にある空気取り入れ口2箇所(2)から、花粉等の対策フィルター(7)を通して流入し、使用者が鼻、又は口から息を吸い込み、吐き出す。その時、肺からの二酸化炭素や湿気がマスク内に充満する為、その空気を対流用電動ファンを駆動して、マスク内に空気の流れを作る。
それと同時にわずかではあるが、フィルターを通して、前面から外気も取り入れる。
その吐き出された呼気は、若干はマスクと顔の接触部から逃げていくと思われるが、マスク両側に呼気を逃がす為の空洞を上側半分に設け、空気の逆流防止弁(20)を通って、後方から排気するようにした。
逆流防止弁は、マスク装着時、顔とマスクの間に空間が出来、両側のマスク本体外側と内側カバーの電池格納部上側に儲けた呼気排気用空洞部に取り付けて、呼気排出時のみ弁が開いて、整流板(21)を通って後ろ側へ排気するようにした。
(ニ)マスクは、持ち運びに便利なようにマスク中央から縦割に分かれており、
上下2箇所に取り付けた蝶番により、左右のマスクを接続している。
マスクには、マスクの硬い部分と顔の間に空気がもれないようにラバーゴム等のしなやかで柔らかい素材(4)を加工してマスクに取り付けてあり、蝶番を軸にマスクの両側が内側へ曲げられ、折りたたむ事が出来る。(図6)
マスクを使用する時は、折りたたんだマスクを開き、マスク背面の開閉式フェイスフィットラバー(12)を開いて、対流電動ファンを取り付ける。
取り付けは、マスクを開いた時に、マスクの本体中央左右が蝶番を介して隙間なく合わさり、マスク内側に儲けたマスク本体中央左右の突起板も合わさる。
そこに、コの字型になった対流電動ファン本体接続固定具(9)により、その突起板を挟む様に固定する。そして、本体接続固定ツマミ(14)を90度回転し、対流電動ファンを固定すると同時に、開いて使用可能状態のマスクも固定される。
対流電動ファンを固定した後、開閉式フェイスフィットラバー(12)を元の位置に戻す。
マスク本体中央左右の突起板には、左右にそれぞれプラス、マイナスの電極板が取り付けられており、対流ファン駆動用の電力を供給する。
