Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a connector.
The connector disclosed in Patent Document 1 includes a synthetic resin housing that can accommodate a first contact and a second contact (terminal fitting). The housing is provided with a recess, and a plurality of first contact insertion holes and a plurality of second contact insertion holes are provided in a rear portion sandwiching the recess, and a plurality of second contact insertion holes are provided in a front portion sandwiching the recess. One mating contact insertion hole and a plurality of second mating contact insertion holes are provided. Each first contact insertion hole and each second contact insertion hole are disposed at positions corresponding to each first mating contact insertion hole and each second mating contact insertion hole, respectively. These contact insertion holes are arranged in two upper and lower stages and in parallel in the left-right direction, and are configured as a cavity into which the first contact and the second contact can be inserted.
By the way, in recent years, there has been a tendency to reduce the size of connectors, and in order to meet this demand, the partition walls (interelectrode walls) that partition between adjacent cavities are made thin so that the pitch between the cavities is narrowed. Sometimes required. However, in the above case, since the partition wall is molded by a synthetic resin material that constitutes a connector main body including a housing or a lance block inserted into the recess, the partition wall is formed from the viewpoint of ensuring the stability of resin molding. There was a circumstance that there was a limit to making it thin. As a result, the severe demands for connector miniaturization may not be met.
The present invention has been completed based on the above situation, and an object thereof is to reduce the size of a connector.
The connector of the present invention comprises a connector main body in which a plurality of terminal accommodating portions such as cavities into which terminal fittings can be inserted is provided in parallel, and a material different from that of the connector main body, and partitions the terminal accommodating portions adjacent to each other. It is characterized by having a sheet-like insulating sheet member.
By partitioning the terminal accommodating portions adjacent to each other with a sheet-like insulating sheet member, the pitch between the terminal accommodating portions can be reduced, thereby meeting the severe demand for connector miniaturization.
Preferred embodiments of the present invention are shown below.
The terminal fitting has a barrel portion connected to the electric wire by crimping, and the insulating sheet member is provided at least between the barrel portions of the terminal fitting respectively inserted in the terminal accommodating portions adjacent to each other. Yes. As the connector becomes smaller, the relative size of the electric wire with respect to the terminal fitting becomes larger, and the outer dimensions of the barrel portion also become larger than other portions of the terminal fitting. For this reason, when a terminal metal fitting is inserted in a terminal accommodating part, the diameter dimension of the part in which a barrel part is accommodated must be ensured large to some extent, and there exists a problem of being easy to cause the enlargement of a connector main body. In that respect, according to this configuration, since the insulating sheet member is provided at least between the barrel portions of the terminal fittings respectively inserted into the terminal accommodating portions adjacent to each other, the increase in size of the connector main body can be minimized. it can.
The insulating sheet member is provided only between the barrel portions of the terminal fittings respectively inserted into the terminal accommodating portions adjacent to each other. According to this, since the entire partition between the terminal accommodating portions adjacent to each other is not configured by the insulating sheet member, and a part of the partition is configured by the partition wall of the connector main body or the like, there is no significant change from the existing connector structure. I'll do it. In addition, since the insulating sheet member can be kept to the minimum size and shape, the cost can be reduced and the attachment to the connector main body or the like is facilitated.
The insulating sheet member is made of rubber. A rubber insulating sheet member is excellent in versatility and handling.
The connector main body is provided with a mounting portion, and the insulating sheet member has a cylindrical shape that can be hooked on the mounting portion. Since the cylindrical insulating sheet member is hooked on the mounting portion, there is no particular difficulty in attaching the insulating sheet member.
A mounting portion is provided on the connector body, and the insulating sheet member is bent while repeating unevenness in a zigzag so that a partition between the terminal accommodating portions is sequentially formed while being hooked on the mounting portion. It is a belt-like sheet. According to this, since the insulation sheet member should just be a belt-like sheet | seat which can be bent, it is not necessary to prepare a special thing as an insulation sheet member.
The attachment portion is configured by a portion other than the insulating sheet member that partitions between the terminal accommodating portions adjacent to each other, among the walls that define the periphery of the terminal accommodating portion. According to this, since the attachment portion also functions as a wall that partitions the periphery of the terminal accommodating portion, it is possible to avoid the complexity of the structure of the connector body.
The connector main body includes a housing and a rear holder attached to the housing, and the insulating sheet portion is held between the housing and the rear holder so as not to be detached. Thereby, the state in which the insulating sheet member partitions the cavities is reliably maintained, and the reliability of the insulating function for insulating the terminal fittings can be ensured.
<実施例1>
<Example 1>
A first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. The connector according to the first embodiment includes a
The
As shown in FIG. 2, the
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, the
As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, the
As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, a
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a front
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a retainer mounting
As shown in FIG. 3, a rear
As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, a mounting
As shown in FIG. 4, the mounting
The
As shown in FIG. 5, the insulating
The thickness of the insulating
Next, the operation of the first embodiment will be described.
When the insulating
Subsequently, as shown in FIG. 3, the
Next, when assembling the terminal fitting 70, the terminal fitting 70 is inserted into the
Here, when attention is paid to both
As described above, according to the first embodiment, since the
Further, since the insulating
Moreover, since the insulating
Furthermore, since the
Furthermore, since the insulating
<実施例2>
<Example 2>
6 and 7 show a
The
A pair of upper and lower mounting
The
As shown in FIG. 6, the insulating
Subsequently, the
Thereafter, when the terminal fitting 70 is properly inserted into the
According to the second embodiment, since the insulating
Examples of the zigzag shape of the metal plate bent and formed in a zigzag include a shape in which square irregularities are alternately repeated, a shape in a wavy shape, and the like.

<Example 3>
8 to 10 show Embodiment 3 of the present invention. In the third embodiment, the insulating
The insulating
In the mounting
As shown in FIG. 9, the
At the time of assembling the insulating
After the insulating
Thereafter, when the terminal fitting 70 is inserted into each
In the case of the third embodiment, it is only necessary to prepare a thin belt-like sheet that can be bent by the insulating
