一次側(44、46)および二次側(64)を具備し、一次側は一次側入口(84)と一次側出口(88)とを備えた内部流路を有する熱交換器(42)、
当該熱交換器(42)の内部流路入口、および炉心出口側のホットレグと流体連通する一次側入口プレナム(44)、
当該熱交換器(42)の内部流路出口、および蒸気発生器熱交換器の下流側と炉心(14)の冷却材流入口(78)との間のコールドレグと流体連通する一次側出口プレナム(46)、および
当該熱交換器(42)の二次側内部の二次側プレナム(64)であって、入口端部(66)と出口端部(68)と熱交換器(42)の内部流路の外面上の二次側流路とを具備し、二次側プレナムの入口端部と出口端部とを接続する二次側プレナム
を具備する炉心補給水タンク(40)と、
当該二次側プレナム(64)の入口端部(66)と出口端部(68)との間で炉心補給水タンク(40)に接続された最終ヒートシンク熱交換器(72)と、
当該熱交換器(42)の一次側(44、46)を炉心(14)から隔離するための手段(80)と、
から成る受動式除熱兼高圧水注入システムを具備することを特徴とする加圧水型モジュール式小型炉。 - 炉心補給水タンク(40)が炉心(14)の高さより高く配置された請求項1のモジュール式小型炉(10)。
- 最終ヒートシンク熱交換器(72)が炉心補給水タンク(40)の高さより高く配置された請求項2のモジュール式小型炉(10)。
- 炉心補給水タンク(40)が原子炉圧力容器(10、12)の外側で支持された請求項1のモジュール式小型炉(10)。
- 炉心補給水タンク(40)が格納容器(34)の内部に密封された請求項4のモジュール式小型炉(10)。
- 最終ヒートシンク(70)が格納容器(34)の外側に配置された請求項5のモジュール式小型炉(10)。
- 熱交換プレナム(44、46)の一次側が、少なくとも炉心(14)と同じ圧力に加圧された請求項1のモジュール式小型炉(10)。
- 熱交換器(42)の一次側が、実質的に炉心(14)と同じ圧力に加圧された請求項7のモジュール式小型炉(10)。
- 熱交換器(42)がチューブ・シェル型熱交換器である請求項1のモジュール式小型炉(10)。
- 一次側入口プレナム(44)が炉心補給水タンク(40)の頂部にあり、一次側出口プレナム(46)が炉心補給水タンクの底部にある請求項9のモジュール式小型炉(10)。
- 熱交換器(42)の一次側(44、46)を炉心(14)から隔離する手段が、一次側出口プレナム(46)とコールドレグ(78)との間の一次側出口と流体連通する弁(88)である請求項1のモジュール式小型炉(10)。
- 沸騰を防ぐために二次側プレナム(64)が加圧される請求項1のモジュール式小型炉(10)。
