Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a laminated foam sheet, and more particularly to a laminated foam sheet used for thermoforming.
Conventionally, a raw material sheet made of a thermoplastic resin has been subjected to thermoforming called vacuum forming, pressure forming, vacuum pressure forming, match mold forming, press forming, etc., for food trays, instant noodle containers, food packs, lunch boxes. It is widely practiced to produce molded products such as containers for containers and lids thereof (see Patent Document 1 below).
In addition, as a mold used for such thermoforming, a mold having a recess for molding having a shape corresponding to a product shape is usually used. In the thermoforming, a softened raw material sheet and a mold are used. In the molding recess by vacuuming the inside of the molding recess (vacuum molding) or pressurizing (pressure forming) a thermoplastic resin sheet from the opposite side of the molding recess. The thermoplastic resin is deformed along the shape of the mold, and the thermoplastic resin has a level enough to maintain the shape even if the thermoplastic resin sheet is brought into contact with the inner surface of the molding recess and detached from the mold. The sheet is cooled.
As the raw material sheet used for such thermoforming, a thermoplastic resin film such as a polyethylene terephthalate resin film, a thermoplastic resin foam sheet such as a polystyrene resin foam sheet, a thermoplastic resin film and a thermoplastic resin foam sheet are laminated. A laminated foam sheet is known.
Among these, the laminated foam sheet has a non-foamed layer made of the thermoplastic resin film on the outermost surface, so that it can exhibit excellent surface strength in the molded product, and on the back side of the non-foamed layer. Since the foamed layer made of the thermoplastic resin foamed sheet is laminated, excellent heat insulating properties and light weight can be exhibited while giving an appropriate thickness to the molded product.
Therefore, the laminated foam sheet is widely used as a material for forming the instant noodle container or the lunch box container.
By the way, as one method for producing the laminated foam sheet, the thermoplastic resin film and the thermoplastic resin foam sheet are coextruded as a cylindrical laminate from one circular die, and then expanded by a cooling mandrel. There is known a method of cooling and cutting it out to form a long strip-shaped laminated foam sheet (see Patent Document 2 below).
At this time, the cylindrical laminate extruded from the die slit of the circular die is usually subjected to a large shearing force in the die slit and is instantly expanded to several times the diameter by the cooling mandrel.
In thermoforming such as vacuum forming and pressure forming, the time from the start of deformation of the raw material sheet to the shape along the forming mold until the deformation is completed is usually an extremely short time of about 1 second or less. ing.
Therefore, a raw material sheet such as a laminated foamed sheet is required to be free from uneven thickness, wrinkles and tearing against such high-speed deformation.
Here, compared with the thermoplastic resin film and the thermoplastic resin foam sheet, which are relatively uniform in deformation behavior with respect to heat capacity and stress as a whole, the conventional laminated foam sheet has a gap between the non-foamed layer and the foamed layer. However, since the deformation behavior with respect to volume specific heat and stress is greatly different, there is a problem that it is difficult to uniformly deform the whole at the time of the above-mentioned diameter expansion at the time of manufacture or deformation at the time of thermoforming.
And, when the laminated foam sheet is locally thin at the time of manufacture and has a portion with low strength compared to the surroundings, stress concentrates on the low strength portion during thermoforming, resulting in a molded product. May cause defects such as wrinkles and tears.
In addition, when the non-foamed layer has a function that is difficult to expect with only the foamed layer, such as moisture resistance and oil resistance, the non-foamed layer may be extremely thin in the molded product after thermoforming. Alternatively, if there is a portion where the non-foamed layer is interrupted, there is a possibility that the above function cannot be expected from the molded product.
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and provides a laminated foam sheet that hardly causes appearance defects and functional deterioration in thermoforming, and thus provides a high-quality molded product. It is said.
The present inventor has found that the above problem can be solved by forming a non-foamed layer with a specific resin, and has completed the present invention.
That is, the present invention according to the laminated foam sheet for solving the above-mentioned problems is provided with a non-foamed layer made of a thermoplastic resin on the outermost surface, and is laminated directly or indirectly on the back side of the non-foamed layer. A thermoformed laminated foam sheet further comprising a foam layer made of a polystyrene resin foam sheet, wherein the foam layer and the non-foam layer are laminated and integrated by a co-extrusion method to form a non-foam layer. The thermoplastic resin is characterized in that the melt tension at 180 ° C. is 5 cN or less.
According to the present invention, it is possible to suppress the deformation of the laminated foamed sheet from being restricted by the melt tension of the non-foamed layer, and it is possible to suppress the appearance defect and the function deterioration of the molded product due to the melt tension.
That is, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide a laminated foamed sheet that hardly causes poor appearance and reduced function in thermoforming.

The foamed sheet for constituting the foamed layer of the laminated foamed sheet can be formed in the same manner as in the case of forming the foamed sheet by a general extrusion foaming method.
That is, the foam sheet is obtained by melt-kneading a polystyrene resin with an air conditioner and a foaming agent together with an extruder and extrusion foaming from a die slit of a circular die attached to the tip of the extruder. be able to.
Examples of the polystyrene resin used for forming the foamed sheet include styrene such as styrene, α-methylstyrene, vinyltoluene, ethylstyrene, i-propylstyrene, t-butylstyrene, dimethylstyrene, bromostyrene, and chlorostyrene. Monomer homopolymers, or copolymers thereof, or copolymerizable with the styrene monomers, such as methyl (meth) acrylate, ethyl (meth) acrylate, butyl (meth) acrylate In addition to alkyl (meth) acrylates such as cetyl (meth) acrylate, (meth) acrylonitrile, dimethyl maleate, dimethyl fumarate, diethyl fumarate, ethyl fumarate, difunctional benzene, alkylene glycol dimethacrylate, etc. The mass and the It can be employed as copolymers of alkylene monomer.
The polystyrene resin may be, for example, a high impact polystyrene resin (HIPS) containing a rubber component.
In particular, the foam sheet is made of either a styrene homopolymer called general-purpose polystyrene resin (GPPS) or the like, or a high-impact polystyrene resin (HIPS) containing butadiene rubber or styrene-butadiene rubber in the styrene homopolymer. It is preferable to form.
Further, when heat resistance is required for the laminated foam sheet of this embodiment or a molded product produced by thermoforming the laminated foam sheet, poly (2,6-dimethylphenylene-1,4-ether) is required. ), Poly (2,6-diethylphenylene-1,4-ether), poly (2,6-dichlorophenylene-1,4-ether), and other polyphenylene ether resins (PPE) are used as the raw material resin for the foam sheet. What is necessary is just to employ | adopt as a part.
This polyphenylene ether resin can be contained, for example, so that the ratio of the foamed sheet in the raw material resin is 10% by mass to 50% by mass.
Further, in the case where heat resistance is required for the laminated foamed sheet or molded product, a copolymer resin such as styrene- (meth) acrylic acid, styrene-methacrylic acid-methyl methacrylate is used for the foamed sheet. A part or all of the raw material resin may be used.
The (meth) acrylic copolymer can be contained so that the ratio of the foamed sheet in the raw material resin is 50% by mass or more.
Examples of the air conditioner for foaming such a resin into a predetermined state include talc, mica, silica, diatomaceous earth, aluminum oxide, titanium oxide, zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, magnesium hydroxide, aluminum hydroxide, and hydroxide. Powders composed of inorganic compounds such as calcium, potassium carbonate, calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, potassium sulfate, barium sulfate, and glass beads, and organic compounds such as polytetrafluoroethylene may be employed.
Furthermore, as the blowing agent, propane, normal butane, isobutane, cyclobutane, normal pentane, isopentane, cyclopentane, normal hexane, isohexane, cyclohexane, normal heptane, isoheptane, cycloheptane, or the like alone, or Two or more types can be used in combination. Among them, it is preferable to use a mixed butane of normal butane and isobutane.
The material of the surface film for forming the non-foamed layer is not particularly limited, but for example, oil resistance, heat resistance and moisture resistance that are difficult to expect for the foamed layer as described above. In the case of aiming to make the laminated foam sheet exhibit, it is preferable to employ a polyethylene resin film or a polypropylene resin film.
As the polypropylene resin for constituting the surface film, for example, the proportion of the propylene-only homopolymer (homo PP) and the total with propylene is more than 0% by mass and 5% by mass or less. And a random copolymer (random PP) in which the ethylene and propylene are copolymerized, and a block copolymer (block PP) in which ethylene is copolymerized after the formation of the homo PP.
When the non-foamed layer is composed of a polypropylene resin film, the polypropylene resin film may be a stretched film (OPP) or a non-stretched film (CPP).
Examples of the polyethylene resin include a low density polyethylene resin (LDPE) in which long chain branches are formed in the molecule by polymerizing ethylene under high pressure, and ethylene using a Ziegler-Natta catalyst or a metallocene catalyst. High-density polyethylene resin (HDPE) having a density of 0.942 g / cm 3 or more obtained by polymerization under medium and low pressure, and 1-butene, 1-hexene, 1-octene in the polymerization process of this high-density polyethylene resin A linear low density polyethylene resin (LLDPE) having a density of less than 0.942 g / cm 3 in which short chain branches are formed in the molecule can be employed by adding a small amount of such an α-olefin.
Furthermore, a cyclic polyolefin resin film can also be adopted as the surface film. Examples of the cyclic polyolefin resin constituting the surface film include a copolymer of ethylene and norbornene (COC) and cyclopentanediol by a metathesis reaction. What is polymerized (COP) is mentioned.
Among these, the surface film is preferably mainly composed of a polypropylene-based resin in that the non-foamed layer can remarkably exhibit moisture resistance, heat resistance, and oil resistance, and is included in the surface film. The proportion of the polypropylene resin in the polymer is preferably 80% by mass or more.
Moreover, in matching the molding conditions of the foamed layer and the non-foamed layer in thermoforming, the foamed layer contains GPPS as a main component (for example, 80% by mass or more of the polymer constituting the foamed layer), The non-foamed layer preferably contains random PP as a main component (for example, 80% by mass or more of the polymer constituting the non-foamed layer).
Especially, in the point which exhibits the moisture-proof property which was excellent in the said non-foaming layer, the said non-foaming layer has mixed resin in which random PP and HDPE were contained in the ratio of 80: 20-95: 5 in all the polymers. It is preferable to set it as 80 mass% or more of this, It is more preferable to set it as 90 mass% or more, It is especially preferable to set it as 95 mass% or more.
In addition, when the laminated foam sheet employs a film made of a resin having a high melt tension as the surface film, the thickness of each layer or the whole tends to be uneven when formed by the coextrusion method as described above, and thermoforming. In this case, the followability to the mold is not uniform, and it is difficult to mold the mold into a desired shape, or there is a possibility that a part is insufficiently stretched and the molded product is wrinkled or torn.
For this reason, it is important for the laminated foam sheet in this embodiment to use a surface film formed of a thermoplastic resin having a melt tension at 180 ° C. of 5 cN or less for forming the non-foamed layer.
The melt tension of the surface film is preferably 0.1 cN or more and 4 cN or less, more preferably 0.5 cN or more and 3.0 cN or less, and particularly preferably 1.0 cN or more and 2.0 cN or less. preferable.
In addition, about the melt tension of a surface film, it can obtain | require by the following methods.

<How to determine melt tension>
The melt tension can be measured as follows using, for example, a twin-bore capillary rheometer (Rheological 5000T (manufactured by Chiast, Italy)).
That is, a measurement sample is accommodated in a vertically arranged barrel having a diameter of 15 mm, preheated at a temperature of 180 ° C. for 5 minutes and melted, and then a piston is inserted from the top of the barrel. Molten resin is drawn from a capillary (die diameter: 2.095 mm, die length: 8 mm, inflow angle: 90 degrees (conical)) provided at the lower end of the barrel so that the extrusion speed becomes a constant speed of 0.0773 mm / s. The cord is extruded into a string, and the string is wound around a tension detection pulley arranged at a position of 270 mm below the capillary, and then wound using a winding roll, and the initial winding speed is 3.94388 mm. / and s, gradually accelerate the winding speed subsequent acceleration as 12 mm / s 2, the maximum value of the tension winding speed is observed until 150 meters / min melt Zhang To.
When the string-like material is cut before the winding speed reaches 150 m / min, the maximum value of the tension observed so far is taken as the melt tension.
However, when the tension shows the maximum value, there is vibration in the tension value, and when the maximum value is the maximum value of the amplitude, the minimum value observed before the maximum value and the The average value with the maximum value is the melt tension.
Further, the laminated foam sheet according to the present embodiment has a basis weight of the foam layer of 200 g / m 2 or more and 500 g / m 2 or less, and a basis weight of the non-foam layer of 80 g / m 2 for easy thermoforming. It is preferably m 2 or more and 250 g / m 2 or less.
In the laminated foam sheet according to the present embodiment, since the foam layer is formed of a polystyrene-based resin, the foam layer is formed when the surface film forming the non-foam layer is formed of the polyolefin-based material as described above. It becomes difficult to directly bond the foam sheet to be formed and the surface film.
Therefore, in the laminated foam sheet according to this embodiment, the material selection of the adhesive layer film for forming the adhesive layer is important.
When the non-foamed layer is formed of a polyolefin-based material as described above, the adhesive layer film in the present embodiment has excellent adhesion to the polyolefin-based resin together with the polystyrene-based resin constituting the foamed layer. It is preferable to be formed of a mixed resin of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer.
The adhesive layer film has a good dispersion state of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and the styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer, and exhibits excellent adhesiveness to both the non-foamed layer and the foamed layer. It is preferable to contain the styrenic thermoplastic elastomer in a proportion of 10 to 250 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.
As the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin for forming the adhesive layer, JIS K6924-2 “Plastic—Ethylene / vinyl acetate (E / VAC) molding and extrusion materials—Part 2: Test piece The vinyl acetate content calculated | required based on "How to make and how to obtain various properties" exceeds 0 mass%, and 30 mass% or less can be employ | adopted.
However, an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin having a high vinyl acetate content may cause an odor of acetic acid in the laminated foamed sheet when employed as a material for forming the adhesive layer.
Therefore, in the point which can suppress generation | occurrence | production of an odor in a laminated foam sheet, in formation of the said contact bonding layer, vinyl acetate content exceeds 0 mass% and 10 mass% or less ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin is used. It is preferable to employ 3% by mass or more and 10% by mass or less.
Further, in order to achieve both the moldability when thermoforming the laminated foam sheet and the heat resistance of the obtained molded product, the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin for forming the adhesive layer has a melting point. It is preferable that it is 70 degreeC or more and 110 degrees C or less.
Styrenic thermoplastic elastomers preferably used for forming an adhesive layer together with the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin include styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer (SBS) containing polybutadiene as a soft segment, and polyisoprene as soft. Segmented styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer (SIS), hydrogenated product obtained by hydrogenating the polybutadiene block and polyisoprene block of these copolymers (for example, styrene-butadiene-butylene-styrene block) Copolymer (SBBS), styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene block copolymer (SEBS), styrene-isoprene-propylene-styrene block copolymer (SIPS) and styrene-ethylene-propylene Styrene block copolymer (SEPS)), or, like these modified products modified with an acid such as maleic acid.
Among these, the adhesive layer includes a styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer (SBS), a styrene-butadiene-butylene-styrene block copolymer (SBBS), and a styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene block copolymer. It is preferable to contain one or more selected from (SEBS) in that the adhesive layer can exhibit excellent adhesiveness.
The styrene thermoplastic elastomer has a styrene content of 30% by mass or more and 40% by mass or less in order to favorably adhere the adhesive layer to both the non-foamed layer and the foamed layer. Is preferred.
The adhesive layer used for adhesion between the non-foamed layer and the foamed layer is not particularly limited, but is usually formed to have an average thickness of 2 μm or more and 50 μm or less.
The laminated foam sheet of this embodiment is preferably formed so that the peel strength when the non-foamed layer is peeled from the foamed layer is 500 gf / 25 mm width or more by selecting the material of the adhesive layer.
In addition to the above, the foamed layer, the non-foamed layer, and the adhesive layer include various stabilizers such as weathering agents and anti-aging agents, processing aids such as lubricants, slip agents, antifogging agents, and antistatic agents. Various additives such as functional chemicals, pigments, fragrances, and the like can be contained.
When the laminated foam sheet is formed into a molded product such as the container by thermoforming, for example,
(X) a preheating step of preheating and softening the laminated foam sheet;
(Y) a molding step for forming a product shape using a mold on the preheated laminated foam sheet, and
(Z) A trimming step of cutting the laminated foam sheet formed with the product shape along the outer edge of the product shape, and cutting out the product (container container) from the laminated foam sheet;
Should be implemented.
The laminated foam sheet of the present embodiment is less likely to cause uneven thickness even when the coextrusion method is adopted at the time of production, and the raw material of a molded product that requires a relatively deep drawing like a straw container Even in such a case, the non-foamed layer exhibits good followability to the deformation behavior on the foamed layer side during thermoforming.
Therefore, wrinkles and tears are not easily formed in the container obtained using the laminated foam sheet of the present embodiment.
In addition, by adopting a polypropylene-based resin film as the surface film as described above, when the candy container is used as a container for instant noodles, etc., the quality of the dry noodles and kayakaku contained in the container due to moisture entering through the container In this embodiment, the non-foamed layer is prevented from being thinned locally.
Therefore, the bag container of this embodiment is more reliably prevented from entering moisture.
In addition, although the laminated foam sheet of this invention is utilized for thermoforming, the use is not necessarily limited to a straw container etc.
Furthermore, in this embodiment, although the case where the foaming layer and the non-foaming layer are laminated | stacked indirectly via the contact bonding layer is illustrated, the foaming layer and the non-foaming layer were laminated | stacked directly. The case of a two-layer structure is also within the intended scope of the present invention.
Further, it goes without saying that a laminated foamed sheet having a laminated structure of four or more layers is also intended as a laminated foamed sheet of the present invention.
EXAMPLES Next, although an Example is given and this invention is demonstrated in more detail, this invention is not limited to these.
