使用者が座位から立位に自力で立ち上がる際に、立ち上がり運動に必要な筋力を補助するために使用される立ち上がり補助具であって、
使用者の足の膝上の大腿部側面に装着される大腿部着装部材と、
使用者の足の膝下の下腿部側面に装着された下腿部着装部材と、
前記大腿部着装部材の基端と前記下腿部着装部材の基端とを回動自在に軸着する枢軸ピンと、
前記枢軸ピンに回転自在に軸支されたトルク調節ギアと、
渦巻中心が前記枢軸ピンと同軸に配設され、内端が前記枢軸ピンに固定され、外端が前記トルク調節ギアの円板面に掛止され、前記大腿部着装部材が前記下腿部着装部材と平行になる方向に付勢する渦巻バネと、
前記大腿部着装部材又は前記下腿部着装部材の何れか一方に固定して設けられ、トルク調節摘を備えるとともに、前記トルク調節摘を回転することで前記トルク調節ギアを回転駆動するよう構成されたトルク調節ギア駆動機構と、
前記枢軸ピンの先端部に設けられた非円柱形状のストッパ凸部と、
前記大腿部着装部材又は前記下腿部着装部材のうち前記トルク調節ギア駆動機構が設けられていない方の側面の前記枢軸ピンが挿通する軸穴周囲に形成され、前記ストッパ凸部と嵌合可能な形状に構成された枢軸ピンストッパ凹部と、を備え、
前記枢軸ピンが軸方向に移動することで前記ストッパ凸部が前記枢軸ピンストッパ凹部に嵌脱自在に構成された立ち上がり補助具。
