Description

The present invention relates to a chair improved in the attachment of a tension member for a load support such as a seat and a backrest, and a method for manufacturing the chair.

The backrest or seat of a chair used for office work or the like is usually provided with a cushion material such as urethane on the surface side of the substrate that forms the skeleton, and the portion that covers the outer surface of the cushion material and the outer peripheral edge of the substrate Covered with sheet-like tension material.

When attaching this type of chair upholstery material, it is easy to replace the upholstery material at the time of fouling, etc., and it is easy to give stable tension to the entire area of the upholstery material. A technique is often used in which the periphery of the tension member is narrowed on the back side of the substrate using a tightening string after being folded back, thereby fixing the tension member to the cushion material and the substrate (for example, Patent Document 1). To 3).

特許第3728576号公報Japanese Patent No. 3728576 特許第3603251号公報Japanese Patent No. 3603251 特許第4255670号公報Japanese Patent No. 4255670

However, in such a conventional chair, the peripheral portion of the tension member whose dimensions are determined in advance is tightened by the fastening string on the back surface side of the substrate. Wrinkles are likely to occur, and in particular, in the corner covering region that covers the corners of the substrate of the tension material, the radius of curvature at the time of tightening is small, so the peripheral edge of the tension material is strongly tightened by the tightening string. Sometimes wrinkles and wrinkles are likely to occur. And this heel and heel are liable to damage the appearance of the chair.
As a countermeasure, a cover member that covers the peripheral edge of the tension member may be disposed on the back side of the substrate. Even in this case, when the wrinkles and wrinkles generated at the peripheral edge of the tension member are large, There is a possibility that the heel may push up the cover member.

Therefore, the present invention suppresses as much as possible the occurrence of wrinkles and wrinkles in the back surface covering region of the tension material covering the outer peripheral edge portion of the back side of the base body when the peripheral edge portion of the tension material is tightened by the fastening string. It is intended to provide a chair that can be used and a method for manufacturing the chair.

The chair according to the present invention covers a base that forms a skeleton, a cushion material disposed on the surface of the base, and at least a portion that covers the outer surface of the cushion and the outer peripheral edge of the base. Is folded and supported on the back side of the outer peripheral edge portion of the base body, and is inserted into the peripheral edge portion of the tension material, the tension material being the outer surface of the cushion material and the outer peripheral edge of the base body In a chair provided with a load support body that includes a tightening string that is tightened on the back side of the base body and bound together at the back surface side in a state of covering the part, the periphery of the base material of the base material In the back surface covering region that covers the outer peripheral edge of the back side, an opening that opens outward in the peripheral direction in a state before the peripheral edge of the tension member is folded is formed, and the tension member is folded back to the back side. The opposite sides of the opening are butted against each other It was, and is characterized in that the peripheral portion is tightened by the Himojo tightening.
As a result, the back surface covering region of the upholstery material is abutted between the opposing sides of the opening with the peripheral edge folded back, and covers the outer peripheral edge on the back side of the substrate in this state. At this time, surplus material is removed in advance in the back surface covering region of the tension material, so that even if the peripheral edge portion of the tension material is tightened by the tightening string, wrinkles and wrinkles are less likely to occur.

It is desirable that the tension member has a structure having a short-circuit connecting portion in which the opposite sides of the opening are brought into contact with each other and connected in a state where the peripheral portion is folded back.
In this case, since the opposite sides of the opening are connected by the short-circuit connecting portion in the back surface covering region of the tension member, it is possible to easily tighten the peripheral edge portion of the tension member by the fastening string, The opening does not spread after tightening by the tightening string. In addition, since the strength of the opening of the tension member can be increased by the short-circuit connecting portion, even if the peripheral edge of the tension member is strongly pulled in the direction toward the center of the base by tightening with the tightening cord, the periphery of the opening against the tensile load Increases resistance. Therefore, it is possible to increase the tightening force by the tightening string and to give a strong tension to the tension material.
In addition, when the opposite sides of the opening of the back surface covering region of the upholstery material are connected by a short-circuit connecting portion, the peripheral edge of the upholstery material is held in a shape that wraps around the outer peripheral edge of the base body from the front surface to the back surface side. Is done. For this reason, it becomes easy to align the tension material with respect to the base.

The short-circuit connecting portion may be formed so as to be along a direction substantially orthogonal to the circumferential direction of the fastening string in a state where the back surface covering region of the tension material covers the outer peripheral edge portion on the back side of the base. desirable.
In this case, the short-circuit connecting portion exhibits higher strength when the peripheral portion of the tension member is pulled into the inner peripheral side by tightening with the fastening string.

The base is preferably formed in a substantially rectangular shape in plan view having corners at four corners, and the opening is formed in a region covering the corners of the back surface covering part.
In this case, since the distance between the adjacent corners is sufficiently large, the area of the portion that supports the load of the seated person is ensured, and the wrinkles on the tension member in the portion where the corner is strongly bent are provided. And the occurrence of wrinkles are suppressed.

In the corner portion of the base material, when the peripheral edge portion of the tension member is narrowed to the center side by tightening the fastening string, the displacement of the peripheral edge portion of the tension material toward the central region is restricted. You may make it a latching part project.
In this case, the displacement in the inner peripheral direction of the peripheral portion of the tension member is regulated by the locking portion, and the occurrence of new wrinkles and wrinkles due to the displacement of the tension member is prevented.

The opening includes a pair of tapered portions that incline toward the center of the bottom, and a pair of parallel portions that extend from the ends of the tapered portions toward the opening end and are substantially parallel to each other.
In this case, since the opening is configured to be surrounded by the straight sides of the tapered portion and the parallel portion, the tension material for forming the opening can be easily cut.

The chair manufacturing method according to the present invention includes a base body forming a skeleton part, a cushion material disposed on the surface side of the base body, and at least a part of the outer surface of the cushion material and an outer peripheral edge portion of the base body. A sheet-like tension member that is supported by being folded back on the back side of the outer peripheral edge portion of the base, and the tension member is inserted into the peripheral edge portion of the tension member, and the tension member is connected to the outer surface of the cushion material. In a method for manufacturing a chair comprising a load support body having a tightening string that is tightened on the back surface side of the base body and is bound together at a back surface side in a state of covering the outer peripheral edge of the base body. An opening that opens to the outside in the peripheral direction is formed in a back surface covering region that covers an outer peripheral edge on the back side of the base at the peripheral edge of the material, and the opening is opposed to the opening in a state where the peripheral edge of the tension member is folded back to the back side. The sides to butt each other, In a state where the outer surface of the cushion material and the outer peripheral edge of the base are covered, the fastening cords are tightened on the back side of the base to bind the ends of the fastening cords together. Is.

According to this invention, the excess material in the back surface covering region of the tension member is removed in advance by the opening, and the peripheral edge is tightened by the tightening string in a state where the opposite sides of the opening are abutted with each other. It is possible to suppress as much as possible wrinkles and wrinkles in the back surface covering region of the peripheral portion of the tension member when the peripheral portion of the tension member is tightened by the fastening string.

In the case of this embodiment, the cushion material 12 is integrally joined to the back surface of the upholstery material 13 by heat welding.

3 is a view of the back plate 11 as viewed from the back side, FIG. 4 is a view of the backrest body 10 with the cover member 14 removed, as viewed from the back side, and FIG. It is sectional drawing corresponding to.
The back plate 11 is made of a synthetic resin having elasticity. The back plate 11 is formed in a vertically long, substantially rectangular shape with rounded four corners when viewed from the front, and can support a portion extending from the waist to the back of the seated person on the front side. The back plate 11 supports the vicinity of the occupant's waist at a height position of about one third from the bottom in the height direction, and supports the vicinity of the back of the seat occupant in a region above it. In the following description, the region of the back plate 11 that supports the vicinity of the back of the seated person is referred to as a “back support region 11a”, and the region that supports the vicinity of the back of the seated person is referred to as the “back support region”. 11b ".

The back plate 11 constitutes a bulging region in which the waist support region 11a is curved in a convex shape in the side view, and the portion first contacts the waist of the seated person. In addition, the front surface of the back plate 11 has a shape in which a horizontal section of almost the entire area in the vertical direction is curved in a concave shape on the rear side. The concave shape of the front surface of the back plate 11 changes in the depth of depression in the vertical direction, and the vicinity of the middle portion in the vertical direction of the waist support region 11a is the largest. Further, the outer peripheral edge portion of the back plate 11 is curved toward the back surface side. In particular, the upper edge portion 11c is greatly curved toward the back surface side (rear side) so that the terminal portion approaches a substantially horizontal posture. Yes.
3 and 4, reference numeral 90 is used to obtain a flexible deformation of the back plate 11 in a region extending from a substantially central position in the vertical direction of the waist support region 11 a of the back plate 11 to the back support region 11 b. There is a slit formed.

Further, a locking groove 15 is formed in an annular shape on the back side of the back plate 11 so as to substantially follow the outer peripheral shape of the back plate 11. The locking groove 15 is formed by an inner wall portion 15a and an outer wall portion 15b that protrude from the back surface of the back plate 11. The locking groove 15 is provided at a position spaced from the outer peripheral end of the back plate 11 toward the central region side by a set distance. As will be described in detail later, a peripheral edge portion 13a of a tension member 13 covering the back plate 11 is inserted into the locking groove 15 and locked. At appropriate positions on the inner wall portion 15 a of the locking groove 15, a retaining protrusion 16 (locking portion) for restricting the removal of the peripheral edge portion 13 a of the tension member 13 is projected. In the case of this embodiment, the retaining protrusions 16 are provided at the corners of the four corners of the locking groove 15 and at substantially the center positions of the upper side and the lower side.

Further, in the back surface of the back plate 11, the region between the left and right sides of the back plate 11 and the outer wall portion 15 b facing the side is extended in the width direction of the back plate 11. A plurality of reinforcing ribs 17 that connect the side edges and the outer wall portion 15b are provided. The horizontal cross-section of the back plate 11 is that the waist support region 11a is the most concavely recessed, so that the reinforcing ribs 17 disposed in the waist support region 11a protrude in the front-rear direction according to the recessed depth of the recess. The height is higher than the protruding height of the other reinforcing ribs 17.

On the other hand, the tension member 13 covering the front surface and the outer peripheral edge portion of the back plate 11 has its peripheral edge portion 13a folded back to the back side at the outer peripheral edge portion of the back plate 11, and in this state, the peripheral edge portion 13a is It is constricted and fixed to the back side of the back plate 11.
Specifically, as shown in FIG. 5, a continuous ring-shaped insertion portion 19 is attached to the peripheral edge portion 13 a of the tension member 13 by sewing a resin thread, and a fastening string is attached to the insertion portion 19. Article 18 is passed. And when fixing the peripheral part 13a of the upholstery material 13 to the back surface side of the backplate 11, the peripheral edge part 13a of the upholstery material 13 is turned back to the back side of the backplate 11, and the tightening string 18 is moved to the inner side in that state. The loop is tightened so as to be narrowed, and as shown in FIG. 4, the end of the tightening string 18 in a state where the tightening string 18 and the peripheral portion 13 a of the tension member 13 are inserted into the locking groove 15. To unite each other. Thus, when the fastening string 18 is bound, the peripheral edge portion 13a of the tension member 13 is fixed in the locking groove 15, and the fastening string 18 and the peripheral edge portion 13a are prevented from coming off from the locking groove 15. It is regulated by the protrusion 16.
As a result, the tension member 13 covering the front surface and the outer peripheral edge portion of the back plate 11 has the peripheral edge portion 13a drawn into the back surface side of the back plate 11 to increase the tension on the front surface side of the back plate 11, and the back plate 11 The relative position with respect to is fixed. When the tension member 13 is fixed to the back plate 11 in this way, the locking groove 15 is formed substantially along the outer peripheral shape of the back plate 11, so that the peripheral portion 13 a of the tension member 13 is shown in FIG. 4. As shown, it is fixed in a state that is substantially similar to the outer peripheral shape of the back plate 11.
The portion of the upholstery material 13 that covers the outer peripheral edge portion on the back side of the back plate 11 is hereinafter referred to as a “back surface covering portion 13 b”, and in particular, the corner portion of the outer peripheral edge portion on the back surface side of the back plate 11. The covered portion is referred to as “corner portion covering region 13bc”. The back surface covering region 13b of the upholstery material 13 employs a special configuration for suppressing the generation of wrinkles and wrinkles at the peripheral edge portion 13a associated with the tightening of the tightening string 18, but this configuration will be described later. Detailed description.

By the way, the cover member 14 that covers the back surface side of the back plate 11 is fixed to the back surface side of the back plate 11 by appropriate means such as uneven fitting. In the case of this embodiment, the extending portion 9 a of the backrest support frame 9 that rises upward from the rear side of the seat body 4 is fastened and fixed to the front surface side of the cover member 14. The front side of the extension 9 a of the support frame 9 is covered with a back plate 11. In this embodiment, since the cover member 14 functions as a strength member that supports the input load from the seated person together with the backrest support frame 9, it is made of a highly rigid synthetic resin.

As shown in FIG. 2, the cover member 14 extends from the central region in the direction of the corner covering region 13bc at the four corners of the tension member 13 and covers four protruding portions that cover the back side of each corner covering region 13bc. 20, two recesses 21 that are between the left and right overhanging portions 20 and between the right and left overhanging portions 20 and are recessed inwardly in the backrest width direction with respect to a virtual straight line L1 connecting the upper and lower overhanging portions 20. And. In the case of this embodiment, the left and right recesses 21 of the cover member 14 are provided at positions corresponding to the portions that bulge to the front side of the waist support region 11 a of the back plate 11. The concave portion 21 of the cover member 14 is recessed inward in the width direction as compared with the upper and lower projecting portions 20, but the edge portion of the concave portion 21 covers at least the back surface side of the peripheral edge portion 13 a of the tension member 13. Yes.
Note that the cover member 14 is not necessarily a strength member. In this case, the back plate 11 may be directly connected to the backrest support frame 9.

Next, the configuration of the tension member 13 will be described.
6 is a view showing the tension member 13 before the peripheral edge portion 13a is folded back, and FIG. 7 is an enlarged view of the VII portion of FIG. 8 is an enlarged view of the VIII portion of FIG. 2 with the cover member 14 removed from the back portion of the backrest main body 10, and FIG. 9 is an enlarged view of the upper right portion of the backrest main body 10. FIG.
As shown in FIG. 6, the upholstery material 13 is formed in a vertically long substantially elliptical shape that is slightly larger than the outer shape of the back plate 11. Precisely, a substantially straight portion extending substantially horizontally is provided on the lower edge portion side of the upholstery material 13, and both ends of the substantially straight portion draw a smooth arc on both sides of the upholstery material. It is connected. In addition, the area | region outside the back board 11 shown with a dashed line in FIG. 6 among the upholstery material 13 is folded back to the back side of the back board 11, and the back surface covering area | region 13b which covers the outer peripheral part of the back side of the back board 11 is covered. It is.

The tension member 13 of this embodiment is a region covering the upper side corner covering region 13bc covering the left and right upper corners of the back plate 11 and the upper side portion of the back plate 11 in the back surface covering region 13b. Openings 30 and 30A are formed to open outward in the circumferential direction. Three openings 30 are formed in the upper and left corner covering regions 13bc of the upholstery material 13 at a set interval, and the region covering the upper side portion of the back plate 11 is 1 at the center position in the backrest width direction. Two openings 30A are formed.
The opening portions 30 and 30A include a pair of tapered portions 30a inclined toward the center of the bottom portion, and a pair of substantially parallel portions 30b extending from the end portions of the respective tapered portions 30a toward the opening side. Have.

Before the tension member 13 is actually attached to the back plate 11, the opposite sides (tapered portions 30a and parallel portions 30b) of the opening 30A in the region covering the upper side portion of the back plate 11 in advance are mutually connected. Butt and the butted parts of the sides are sewn together. A portion where the butted portions are stitched together constitutes a short-circuit connecting portion 31. The short-circuit connecting portion 31 is shown in FIG. 8 when the peripheral edge portion 13a of the tension member 13 covering the front surface and the outer peripheral edge portion of the back plate 11 is tightened by the tightening string 18 on the back surface side of the back plate 11. As described above, the short-circuit connecting portion 31 is formed so as to be along a direction substantially orthogonal to the rotating direction of the fastening string 18.
When the opening 30A in the region covering the upper side portion of the back plate 11 of the upholstery material 13 is connected by the short-circuit connecting portion 31 as described above, the upper edge portion of the upholstery material 13 is the outer peripheral edge portion on the upper side of the back plate 11 Is curved so that it can be three-dimensionally wrapped from the front surface to the back surface side.

When the tension member 13 is attached to the back plate 11, the front side of the back plate 11 is covered with the tension material 13, and the curved portion of the upper edge portion of the tension material 13 in this state is the outer peripheral edge portion on the upper side of the back plate 11. The remaining portion of the peripheral edge portion 13a of the tension member 13 is folded back to the back side of the substrate 11 in this state. Thereafter, the peripheral edge portion 13a of the tension member 13 is tightened by the fastening string 18, and the peripheral edge portion 13a is locked to the locking groove 15 on the back surface of the back plate 11 as described above. When the peripheral edge portion 13a of the upholstery material 13 is tightened by the fastening string 18 on the back surface side of the back plate 11, the opposite sides of the opening 30 of the corner covering region 13bc (parallel to the tapered portions 30a). The portions 30b are close to each other, and the gap due to the opening 30 disappears.

As described above, in the chair 1 according to this embodiment, the opening portions 30 and 30A that open outward in the peripheral direction in the state before the peripheral edge portion 13 of the tension material 13 is folded back are provided in the back surface covering region 13b of the tension material 13. The opposite sides of the openings 30 and 30A are abutted against each other with the peripheral edge portion 13a folded back, and the peripheral edge portion 13a is tightened by the tightening string 18 in this state. The back surface covering region 13b, particularly the angle portion covering region 13bA among them, is less likely to cause wrinkles and wrinkles. That is, since the surplus material is removed in advance by the openings 30 and 30A in the back surface covering region 13b of the upholstery 13, the back surface covering region 13b even if the peripheral edge portion 13a is tightened inward by the fastening string 18. There are less wrinkles and wrinkles.
Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the appearance appearance from being deteriorated due to a large number of wrinkles and wrinkles appearing in the back surface covering region 13b of the upholstery material 13.

Moreover, in the chair 1 which concerns on this embodiment, the sides which the opening part 30A formed in the center of the upper edge part of the back surface coating | cover area | region 13b of the upholstery material 13 face | abut each other, The sides are short circuit connection parts. 31, the peripheral portion 13 a of the tension member 13 can be easily tightened by the tightening string 18, and the opening 30 </ b> A after the tightening by the tightening string 18 is prevented from spreading. Can do.
Furthermore, since the strength of the edge portion of the opening 30A is enhanced by the short-circuit connecting portion 31, even if the peripheral edge portion 13a of the tension member 13 is strongly pulled in the center side direction by the tightening by the fastening string 18, the tensile load is increased. Can sufficiently withstand.

Moreover, in this chair 1, since the opposing sides of the opening 30A at the upper edge of the back surface covering region 13b of the upholstery material 13 are connected by the short-circuit connecting portion 31, the upper edge side of the upholstery material 13 is the back plate 11. Is held in a shape that wraps three-dimensionally from the front surface to the back surface side. For this reason, when the tension member 13 is attached to the back plate 11, the tension member 13 can be easily aligned with the back plate 11.

In particular, in the case of this embodiment, since the short-circuit connecting portion 31 is provided so as to be along a direction substantially orthogonal to the circumferential direction of the tightening string 18, the periphery of the tension member 13 is tightened by the tightening string 18. When the portion 13a is drawn to the inner peripheral side, the short-circuit connecting portion 31 exhibits higher strength. Therefore, by adopting this structure, it is possible to further increase the tightening force by the tightening string 18 and to give the tension member 13 a strong tension.

Moreover, in the chair 1 of this embodiment, the tension member 13 having the above structure is attached to the back plate 11 having a substantially rectangular shape in plan view having corners at the four corners. Therefore, the area of the portion that supports the load of the seated person The generation of wrinkles and wrinkles in the back surface covering region 13b of the upholstery material 13 can be suppressed while securing a larger value.

Further, in the case of this embodiment, when the fastening cord 18 is tightened inward at the corner portion of the back plate 11, the retaining member 13 is prevented from coming off so as to restrict the displacement of the peripheral portion 13a of the tension member 13 toward the central region. Since the protrusion 16 is provided, it is possible to prevent new wrinkles and wrinkles from occurring due to the displacement of the upholstery material 13.

In this embodiment, the openings 30, 30A formed in the back surface covering region 13b of the upholstery material 13 are opened from a pair of tapered portions 30a inclined toward the center of the bottom, and the end portions of the respective tapered portions 30a. Since it is in a shape surrounded by a straight side consisting of a pair of parallel portions 30b that are substantially parallel to each other extending toward the ends, the tension member 13 for forming the openings 30 and 30A There is an advantage that cutting is easy.

Moreover, although the opening parts 30 and 30A of said embodiment are made into the shape provided with a pair of taper part 30a and the parallel part 30b continuing to each taper part 30a, other embodiment shown in FIG. Like the opening part 130, you may make it connect the bottom part side of a pair of parallel part 130b by the circular arc part 130c. In this case, since the amount of material cut off on the bottom side of the openings 130 and 130A is increased, the generation of wrinkles and wrinkles when the peripheral edge portion 13a is folded back to the back side and tightened with the fastening string is reduced. Can do.

In addition, this invention is not limited to said embodiment, A various design change is possible in the range which does not deviate from the summary. For example, the above embodiment is an embodiment in which the backrest body of the backrest portion is a load support, but the load support may be a seat. In addition, the base body (back plate) of the above embodiment has a substantially rectangular shape, but the shape of the base body is not limited to a square but may be other polygonal shapes such as a pentagon. Furthermore, the substrate is not necessarily limited to a plate-like structure, and may be a frame-like one.
