Description

The present invention mainly relates to interior panels such as instrument panel ornaments and door ornaments for vehicles. More specifically, the present invention relates to an interior panel of a type in which an uneven pattern is formed on the design surface of a resin base material and the design surface is given a gloss by light diffusion treatment.

In order to enhance the texture by making the design pattern on the base material more three-dimensional, it has been devised to deeply form irregularities such as wrinkles or to make the pattern dense. However, even with such a device, there is a limit to improving the texture of the pattern. The reason is that the uneven pattern looks almost uniform over the entire design surface and is visually flat and loses the three-dimensional effect. As a result, even when the design surface of the base material has a gloss such as metallic, it is difficult to make the uneven pattern three-dimensionally protrude.

The present invention is intended to solve such a problem, and an object of the present invention is to enhance the design of this pattern by three-dimensionally embossing the shape of a valley having a gloss such as metallic.

The present invention is for achieving the above object, and is configured as follows.
Concave and convex patterns are molded on the design surface of the resin base material, and this design surface is an interior panel with gloss by light diffusion treatment, and the concave and convex pattern formed on the design surface of the base material is A plurality of peak-and-valley shapes are continuous in a predetermined direction, and each peak-and-valley shape is continuous in a direction intersecting with the predetermined direction. In addition, the inclination angle and width of the slope of the mountain-valley shape in this pattern both change along the direction in which the mountain-valley shape continues.

More preferably, a clear layer having a thickness that fills the concave and convex portions constituting the pattern is provided on the design surface of the base material.

More preferably, a linear unevenness imitating a metal-worked cutting trace is formed on a mountain-shaped slope forming the pattern of the base material.

In the present invention, in the pattern of the valley shape formed on the design surface of the substrate, the inclination angle and the width of the slope of the mountain valley shape are changed together with respect to the continuous direction of the mountain valley shape, so that the gloss of metallic or pearl is increased. The lightness and darkness of the valley and valley shape changes according to the inclination angle of the slope, and the texture of the pattern changes according to the width of the slope. Due to these synergistic effects, even in the case of shallow uneven patterns, the shape of the valley can be raised three-dimensionally to enhance the design of the pattern.

In addition, by filling the valley-shaped concave portions constituting the pattern of the base material with a clear layer, the surface of the base material can be finished to a smooth surface with a good touch while maintaining the three-dimensional shape of the mountain valley.

In addition, in the pattern of the base material, by forming a linear unevenness imitating a metal processing cutting trace on a mountain-shaped slope, the linear unevenness looks like a cutting blade trace by a milling machine, for example. When the design surface is given a metallic luster, a more metallic texture can be produced.

FIG. 9 is a perspective view illustrating an enlarged part of an interior panel according to Embodiment 3.

Hereinafter, embodiments for carrying out the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
First, a first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. The interior panel 10 shown in the drawings is an ornament that decorates a part of the instrument panel in the vehicle compartment. The interior panel 10 is configured such that a design surface (surface) of the base material 12 is provided with a ridge-and-valley pattern 14 and the design surface is given a gloss such as metallic or pearl. The base material 12 is made of resin, and a mountain-and-valley pattern 14 is formed by the uneven shape of the mold surface in the molding die.

The design surface pattern 14 has a plurality of peaks and valleys continuous in a predetermined direction (for example, the vertical direction in FIG. 2), and a direction in which each peak shape and valley shape intersect with the predetermined direction (for example, the horizontal direction in FIG. 2). It is in a continuous state. Moreover, in the direction (for example, the left-right direction of FIG. 2) where the several peaks and valleys which comprise the pattern 14 continue, each peak and valley do not necessarily extend in parallel. That is, depending on the part of the pattern 14, the pattern 14 is changed by intentionally disturbing the parallel state of the peaks and valleys as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.

As is clear from FIG. 1A, FIG. 1B, or FIG. 2, each slope 14c between the valley-like ridge line 14a and the valley line 14b in the pattern 14 has a slope-like shape and a respective slope angle. Are changing along a continuous direction (for example, the left-right direction in FIG. 2). That is, these inclined surfaces 14c become gentle and wide when the inclination angle is reduced, and conversely, they become steeper and small when the inclination angle is increased.
Note that FIG. 1B is an enlarged perspective view illustrating a part of FIG.

On the design surface of the substrate 12, a glitter layer 16 having a gloss such as metallic or pearl is formed by a light diffusion process (FIGS. 5 and 6). There are the following methods for the light diffusion treatment for producing the glitter layer 16.
a. A paint mixed with a light diffusing agent such as aluminum flakes or pearl beads is applied to the design surface of the substrate 12.
b. A film having a gloss such as metallic or pearl is attached to the design surface of the substrate 12.
c. The base material 12 is molded from a resin material mixed with a light diffusing agent such as aluminum flakes or pearl beads. In this case, the design surface itself of the substrate 12 becomes the glitter layer 16.
Note that, in the light diffusion treatment of b above, since the glitter layer 16 is a film attached to the base material 12, it is suitable for providing a clear layer 18 to be described later on the surface.

On the design surface of the base material 12 configured in this way, the ridge-and-valley pattern 14 has, for example, metallic glitter due to the glitter layer 16. In addition, since the inclination angle of the slope 14c having the mountain valley shape in the pattern 14 changes, the brightness of the mountain valley shape changes depending on the location. Further, since the width of the slope 14c is changed, the texture of the pattern 14 itself is changed.
By these visual effects, even if the peaks and valleys constituting the pattern 14 are actually shallow irregularities, the pattern 14 appears to be more three-dimensionally raised, and the design of the pattern 14 is enhanced.

Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. In the interior panel 10 of the second embodiment, a clear layer 18 is provided on the surface of the glitter layer 16 formed on the design surface of the substrate 12. The clear layer 18 is formed by insert molding a transparent resin material on the base material 12 or by grinding the surface of the resin material after applying the transparent resin material to the design surface of the base material 12. Composed. The clear layer 18 may be colorless and transparent or colored and transparent.

The clear layer 18 is set to a thickness that fills the valley-like recesses that form the pattern 14 of the substrate 12. Therefore, the surface of the base material 12 is flattened by the clear layer 18, and the surface of the base material 12 can be smoothly finished while maintaining the mountain-like three-dimensional effect.
In the second embodiment, when light enters the clear layer 18 from the terminal of the base material 12, the pattern 14 is illuminated and the shading of the valleys is emphasized. Thereby, the effect of the pattern 14 is exhibited even in a dark environment such as at night.

Next, Embodiment 3 of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. In the third embodiment, the linear unevenness 20 imitating a metal-worked cutting trace is formed on the slope 14c having a valley shape that forms the pattern 14 of the substrate 12. The linear unevenness 20 is also formed by the shape of the mold surface of the molding die of the base material 12.
By forming the linear irregularities 20 on the slopes 14c of the valleys and valleys constituting the pattern 14 of the base material 12, the linear irregularities 20 can be made to appear as a trace of a cutting blade by a milling machine, for example. As a result, the pattern 14 has a more metallic texture when the glossy layer 16 gives the design surface of the substrate 12 a metallic luster.
