請求項5に記載の発明は、請求項1乃至4の何れかの構成において、明るさを複数の段階に切替可能であって、何れの段階においてもバッテリーの電圧が閾値以下に達すると、点灯中のLEDのうち1つのみ点灯が継続し、残りが消灯することを特徴とするものである。
請求項6に記載の発明は、請求項1乃至5の何れかの構成において、バッテリーの電圧の監視とLEDの点消灯とを制御するコントローラを備えることを特徴とするものである。
上記目的を達成するために、請求項7に記載の発明は、電動工具用のバッテリーを電源として点灯する複数の照明用のLEDを備え、バッテリーの残容量が低下すると、点灯中のLEDのうち1つのみ点灯が継続し、残りが消灯することを特徴とするものである。
