FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating an arrangement example of facilities in wave power generation of the power generation system and power generation plant of the present invention. In the vicinity of the sea surface 20 and the quay 13, the energy conversion unit 2 and the energy transmission cable 3 shown in FIG. 3 are arranged. The outer cable 6 of the energy transmission cable 3 is guided to crawl along the quay while being fixed by a plurality of cable holders 19, and is connected from near the shore 21 to the power generation facility 24 on the flat land 23 on the shore via the curved portion 22.
The configuration of the power generation facility 24 is a power generation unit 4 and a power transmission unit 5.
The power generation unit 4 has a rotational motion and an energy conversion unit that converts the reciprocating motion energy transmitted by the outer cable 6 of the energy transmission cable 3 into a rotational motion through a piston crank mechanism, a rack and pinion mechanism, or the like. It has gearboxes, generators, transformers, etc. for effective conversion to electric power.
Many methods have been published to convert reciprocating motion into continuous unidirectional rotational motion, but it is suitable as an energy conversion method for wave power generation in which the amplitude of the reciprocating motion varies greatly depending on the tide level and wave amplitude. It is a rack and pinion mechanism. An example of the rack and pinion mechanism used in the present invention will be described below.
The outer cable 6 of the energy transmission cable 3 is connected to a rack composed of at least two rows of gears having different heights. The rack is installed on a movable device such as a bearing base or a chassis, and performs a reciprocating motion of pulling forward by the reciprocating motion of the outer cable 6.
A gear 1 incorporating a sprag-type or cam-type one-way clutch is connected to a gear at one of the two rows of racks at a high position. The gear 1 rotates in conjunction with the rack when the rack is in the direction of traveling, but rotates in the pulling direction due to the one-way clutch function. This gear 1 is connected to a gear 4 that is linked to the speed increaser of the power generation unit 4 and the power transmission shaft of the generator, and rotates the gear 4 only when the rack is reciprocating.
A gear 2 incorporating a sprag-type or cam-type one-way clutch is connected to one of the two rows of racks at a low position. The gear 2 operates just opposite to the gear 1. In other words, the one-way clutch function works when the rack is in the direction of traveling, and rotates in conjunction with the rack when it is in the pulling direction. Since the rotation direction at this time is reverse to that of the gear 1, a gear 3 incorporating a sprag-type or cam-type one-way clutch is connected to the gear 2 and interlocked, and the gear 3 is connected to the gear 4. . As a result, the gear 3 turns the gear 4 in the same direction as the direction in which the gear 1 rotates in the direction in which the rack advances. The height of the rack row is low because the combination of the gear 1 and the gear 3 is the same as the gear 1 so that the gear 4 can be rotated.
With this structure, a continuous unidirectional rotational motion can be stably transmitted to the power generation unit 4 even in wave power generation in which the amplitude of the reciprocating motion varies greatly depending on the tide level and the amplitude of the wave.
The power transmission unit 5 is a substation facility including a grid interconnection protection device, a power storage unit, a transformer, and the like.
In the power generation system and power generation plant of the present invention, as seen in the facility arrangement example shown in FIG. 4, natural energy generated on the sea surface 20 is transmitted to the power generation facility 24 and converted into electric power.
According to the present invention, the power generation facility 24 arranged on the flat shore 23 is much easier to construct than the conventional power generation facility constructed on the ocean, and has the effect of natural disasters such as typhoons, abnormal waves or huge tsunamis. I don't wait for it to be difficult to accept.
In addition, the energy transmission cable used in the present invention is a cable in which the inner cable 7 is slidably inserted in the outer cable 6 and has a flexible structure. Energy can be transmitted even if there is a bend like a curved portion in a mountainous area. The feature of the present invention that increases the degree of freedom of installation conditions is that it provides great convenience in the construction of a power plant, such as reduction of installation cost and relaxation of installation location restrictions.
This feature of the present invention also provides the same convenience when used in a small system for home use, leisure use, and emergency use.
