Description

The present invention relates to a waterproof structure for an electronic device in which, for example, a circuit board on which a connector is mounted is housed in a pair of cases via a seal member.

As an electronic device such as an electronic control device, a connector or an electronic component is mounted on a circuit board, and the circuit board is housed in a pair of cases via a seal member, and the connector is exposed from a joint portion of both cases. The thing is conventionally known (for example, refer patent document 1). The circuit board is attached to the inner bottom surface of one case (lower case), and the connector is soldered near the outer edge of the circuit board. This connector has a substantially trapezoidal appearance, and a substantially trapezoidal notch that is the same as the connector is formed on the side wall of the other case (upper case). The seal member is interposed between the lower surface of the connector, the joint surface of the lower case, and the circumferential first seal material interposed between the joint surfaces of the two cases, the notch of the upper case, and the joint surface of the connector. The both ends of the second sealing material are in contact with the first sealing material.

The assembly procedure of the electronic device configured as described above will be described. First, after placing the first sealing material around the upper surface of the lower case, the circuit board is screwed to the inner bottom surface of the lower case. By attaching using the means, the lower surface of the connector is overlapped with a part of the first sealing material. Next, a belt-like second sealing material is placed from the upper surface of the connector to both slopes, and the upper case is covered with the lower case while the connector is fitted in the notch in this state, and then both cases are screwed. The assembly of the electronic device is completed by joining and integrating by the means described above. As a result, the first sealing material is compressed between the lower surface of the connector and the lower case and between the joint surfaces of both cases, and the second sealing material is compressed between the upper surface of the connector and the inner wall surface of the notch. Therefore, waterproofness between the upper case, the lower case, and the connector is ensured by the sealing members (first and second sealing materials).

Japanese Patent No. 4236940

By the way, in the prior art disclosed by patent document 1, since the lower surface side and upper surface side of a connector are sealed using the separate sealing materials (a 1st sealing material and a 2nd sealing material), the notch of an upper case There are problems that the second sealing material is displaced when the connector is fitted therein, and that both sealing materials are not tightly coupled to induce a sealing failure. Here, if an annular portion in which the first seal material and the second seal material are annularly connected is provided in advance in the seal member (rubber packing), both cases are joined with the annular portion attached to the outer peripheral surface of the connector. Since they can be integrated, the assembly work of the electronic device can be easily performed.

However, when a seal member having such an annular portion is used, even if the annular portion inserted into the notch is wrinkled, it is difficult to visually determine the state from the outside. For this reason, there is a possibility that the product is assembled as a product while the waterproofness due to the annular portion is incomplete, and there is a demand for a waterproof structure that can determine whether the seal member is assembled in the product assembly process.

The present invention has been made in view of the actual situation of the prior art, and an object of the present invention is to provide a waterproof structure for an electronic device that can easily check whether the seal member is assembled or not in the assembly process of the product. There is to do.

In order to achieve the above object, a waterproof structure for an electronic device according to the present invention includes a first case in which a substantially trapezoidal notch with an open end side as a base is provided on a side wall, and the opening in the notch. An exposed body inserted from the end side, a seal member having an annular portion externally fitted to the exposed body, and a second case joined and integrated with the first case via the seal member, An adjustment protrusion is formed integrally with the annular portion of the seal member so as to face the inclined side of the notch, and the relative position between the annular portion and the notch can be determined by the adjustment protrusion. I made it.

In the waterproof structure of the electronic device configured as described above, the annular portion of the seal member is attached to the outer peripheral surface of the exposed body made of a connector or the like, and the first case and the second case are joined so as to sandwich the seal member in this state. When integrated, the annular portion is compressed between the exposed body and the notch and between the exposed body and the second case, so that the waterproof property between the first case, the second case, and the exposed body is a sealing member. Secured by. In the process of assembling such a product, when the exposed body with the annular part is inserted into the notch, the annular part is integrally formed with the annular part if it is caught on the inclined surface of the notch and greatly expanded locally. Since the adjustment protrusion is displaced with respect to the reference position, it can be easily confirmed by visual inspection that the seal member is not properly assembled, and the adjustment protrusion is picked along the inclined surface of the notch. By moving, the stretched annular portion can be brought into a favorable assembled state.

In the above configuration, the adjustment protrusions may be formed at least at one place of the annular portion, but such adjustment protrusions are formed at two places apart from each other with the exposed body interposed therebetween. It is preferable that the notches face opposite inclined sides that are opposite to each other because it is possible to accurately determine whether the seal member is assembled.

Further, in the above configuration, an index close to the inclined side of the notch is provided on the side wall of the first case, and whether or not the seal member is assembled is determined according to the position of the adjustment protrusion with respect to the index. It is preferable that the quality of the assembled state of the seal member can be more easily confirmed.

In the waterproof structure for an electronic device according to the present invention, an exposed body such as a connector is exposed from the cutouts of the first and second cases joined and integrated with each other, and a seal member attached to the outer peripheral surface of the exposed body Since the protrusion for adjustment that faces the inclined side of the notch is integrally formed on the annular part of the notch, the annular part is notched when the exposed body with the annular part is inserted into the notch during the product assembly process. Even if it is caught on the inclined surface of the notch and it is not correctly assembled, it can be easily confirmed from the outside by the position of the adjusting protrusion, and the adjustment protrusion is picked up along the inclined surface of the notch. By moving, the annular portion can be brought into a good assembled state without bothering to disassemble both cases.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of the invention will be described with reference to the drawings. As shown in FIGS. 1 to 5, an electronic device according to this embodiment is an upper case (first case) 1 having a notch 1a on one side wall. A lower case (second case) 2 joined and integrated with the upper case 1, a circuit board 3 attached to the inner bottom surface of the lower case 2, and a notch mounted in the vicinity of the outer edge of the circuit board 3 It is mainly comprised by the connector (exposed body) 4 exposed from 1a, and the sealing member 5 which ensures the waterproofness between these upper case 1, the lower case 2, and the connector 4. FIG.

The upper case 1 is formed of a synthetic resin molded product having a rectangular shape in plan view, and a substantially trapezoidal notch 1a having an open end side as a bottom is formed on one side wall thereof. A pair of indicators 1b are formed on the outer surface of one side wall of the upper case 1, and these indicators 1b are close to the left and right inclined sides of the notch 1a. The index 1b functions as a determination reference part for confirming the assembled state of the seal member 5, and in the case of this embodiment, the rectangular recess formed when the upper case 1 is molded is used as the index 1b. The index 1b may be formed after printing of 1 by using means such as printing.

The lower case 2 is formed of a synthetic resin molded product having the same planar shape as that of the upper case 1, and a flange 2 a is formed on the outer periphery of the upper case. Further, step portions 2b are formed at positions slightly lower than the flange portion 2a at the four corners of the inner bottom surface of the lower case 2, and the circuit board 3 is placed on these step portions 2b. . The material of the upper case 1 and the lower case 2 is not limited to synthetic resin, and may be formed by die casting of a metal such as an aluminum alloy or a magnesium alloy.

The circuit board 3 is mounted with a choke coil 6 and various electronic components (not shown), and a connector 4 is mounted in the vicinity of the outer edge thereof by soldering. The connector 4 supplies power and various signals to the circuit board 3, and a female connector (not shown) is inserted into and removed from the connector 4 from the outside. The connector 4 is a cylindrical body having a track-shaped cross-sectional shape, and a holding groove 4b is formed in a support portion 4a protruding outward from the base end side. The groove width of the holding groove 4b is set to be approximately the same as the thickness of the side wall of the upper case 1 in which the notch 1a is formed, and the bottom (groove bottom) of the holding groove 4b is substantially trapezoidal like the notch 1a. It has become.

The seal member 5 is a rubber rubber packing. The seal member 5 is integrally formed with a circumferential portion 5a that is continuous in a substantially rectangular shape and an annular portion 5b that protrudes upward from a part of the circumferential portion 5a. Yes. The annular portion 5b has a track-shaped opening inside, and its outer peripheral surface is substantially trapezoidal like the notch 1a. As will be described in detail later, the rotating portion 5 a is sandwiched between the lower surface of the outer peripheral portion of the upper case 1 and the flange portion 2 a of the lower case 2, and the annular portion 5 b is formed in the holding groove 4 b of the connector 4. The outer case 1 is sandwiched between the notch 1a of the upper case 1 and the flange portion 2a of the lower case 2. Further, adjustment protrusions 5c protruding in a triangular shape when viewed from the front are integrally formed on the outer surface of the region sandwiched between the bottom side of the annular portion 5b and the left and right inclined sides, and these adjustment protrusions 5c and The quality of the assembled state of the seal member 5 is determined by the relative position of the upper case 1 with respect to the index 1b.

Next, an assembly procedure of the electronic device according to the present embodiment will be described. First, as shown in FIG. 6, the annular portion 5 b of the seal member 5 is mounted in the holding groove 4 b of the connector 4, and the circumferential portion 5 a that is continuous with the lower side of the annular portion 5 b is disposed around the circuit board 3. In this state, when the circuit board 3 is mounted on each step 2b and attached to the lower case 2 using fixing means such as screws, the connector 4 is lowered while the lower side of the annular portion 5b is in contact with the flange 2a. While projecting outward from the case 2, the revolving part 5 a is placed on the other flange part 2 a excluding the connection part with the connector 4. Thereafter, the upper case 1 is covered with the lower case 2 so as to cover the circuit board 3, and the side wall of the upper case 1 is fitted into the holding groove 4b while the connector 4 is inserted into the notch 1a. When the 1 and the lower case 2 are joined and integrated using screws (not shown), an electronic device assembly finished product as shown in FIG. 1 is obtained. In this finished product state, the annular portion 5b is compressed between the notch 1a of the upper case 1 and the connector 4 and between the connector 4 and the lower case 2, and the rotating portion 5a is compressed between the upper case 1 and the lower case 2. Therefore, the waterproofness between the upper case 1 and the lower case 2 and the connector 4 is ensured by the seal member 5.

In the process of assembling the electronic apparatus, when the connector 4 with the annular portion 5b is inserted into the notch 1a of the upper case 1, the annular portion 5b smoothly enters without being caught by the inclined surface of the notch 1a. The sealing member 5 is correctly assembled to ensure the waterproofness of the electronic device. In this case, if the upper end of the index 1b formed on the upper case 1 is the determination reference line L1, and the upper end of the adjustment projection 5c formed on the annular portion 5b is the determination confirmation line L2, as shown in FIG. Since the determination confirmation line L2 reaches the upper position in the insertion direction beyond the determination reference line L1 in the state of the assembled electronic device, the seal member 5 is correctly assembled when the operator visually observes this from the outside. Can be determined.

On the other hand, when the connector 4 to which the annular portion 5b is attached is inserted into the notch 1a of the upper case 1, the annular portion 5b is caught on the inclined surface of the notch 1a and greatly stretched locally. Due to the extension, a gap is generated at the joint portion between the flange portion 2a of the lower case 2 and the lower side of the annular portion 5b, and waterproofing around the connector 4 cannot be secured. In this case, as shown in FIG. 7 (b), the determination confirmation line L2 does not exceed the determination reference line L1 in the state of the finished assembly of the electronic device, and only reaches the front (lower) position in the insertion direction. When an operator visually observes this from the outside, it can be determined that the seal member 5 is not correctly assembled. When the adjustment protrusion 5c is displaced from the normal position with respect to the index 1b as described above, the operator picks the adjustment protrusion 5c with tweezers and moves it up and down along the inclined surface of the notch 1a. Then, the hook of the annular portion 5b is released and the adjustment protrusion 5c can be moved to the position shown in FIG. 7A, so that the sealing member can be removed without having to completely disassemble the upper case 1 and the lower case 2. 5 can be in a good built-in state.

As described above, in the waterproof structure for an electronic device according to this embodiment, the annular portion 5b of the seal member 5 is mounted in the holding groove 4b of the connector 4 mounted on the circuit board 3, and the seal member 5 is in this state. When the upper case 1 and the lower case 2 are joined and integrated so as to sandwich the upper portion 1, the annular portion 5 b is compressed between the notch 1 a of the upper case 1 and the connector 4 and between the connector 4 and the lower case 2. Since the rotating portion 5 a of the seal member 5 is compressed between the upper case 1 and the lower case 2, waterproofness between the upper case 1, the lower case 2, and the connector 4 can be ensured by the seal member 5. In the process of assembling the electronic device, when the connector 4 to which the annular portion 5b is attached is inserted into the notch 1a of the upper case 1, the annular portion 5b is caught locally on the inclined surface of the notch 1a. If it is greatly extended, the adjustment projection 5c formed integrally with the annular portion 5b is displaced with respect to the reference position (index 1b) of the upper case 1, and therefore the seal member 5 is not assembled correctly. Can be easily confirmed visually. In addition, by pulling the adjustment protrusion 5c from the outside and moving along the inclined surface of the notch 1a, the stretched annular portion 5b can be returned to the normal state, so the upper case 1 and the lower case 2 are bothered. Even if it is not completely disassembled, the seal member 5 can be brought into a favorable assembled state.

Further, in the waterproof structure for an electronic device according to the present embodiment, the adjustment protrusions 5c are formed at the two left and right portions of the annular portion 5b, and these adjustment protrusions 5c are respectively opposed to the opposite inclined sides of the notch 1a. Therefore, the quality of the assembled state of the seal member 5 can be determined more accurately.

Further, in the waterproof structure of the electronic apparatus according to the present embodiment, an index 1b close to the inclined side of the notch 1a is formed on the side wall of the upper case 1, and the index 1b and the adjustment protrusion 5c correspond to the relative positions of the index 1b. Thus, the quality of the assembled state of the seal member 5 is determined, so that the quality of the assembled state of the seal member 5 can be easily determined. However, it is possible to check the positional deviation of the adjustment protrusion 5c without using such an index 1b. For example, the relative position between the inclined side of the notch 1a and the adjustment protrusion 5c determines the position of the seal member 5. The quality of the assembled state may be determined, or the quality of the assembled state of the seal member 5 may be determined by the shape change of the adjustment protrusion 5c.
