さらには、パイプ部材の共通化を図ることができ、誤組付の恐れもなくなる。

また、パイプ部材の他方の開口部12aは、シリンダーヘッドカバー10の外側に突出するように配設してあり、この部分にホース等のチューブ部材が連結される。
このようにパイプ部材12をインサート鋳造すると、図2(a)に示すようにパイプ部材12の鋳込み部11であって、パイプ部材12の一方の開口部12bを塞ぐ塞ぎ部11aが形成される。
また、ボス状の鋳込み部11の肉厚は、その他の一般部の肉厚と同等でよい。
次に図2(b)に示すように、塞ぎ部11aにドリル等を用いて通気孔13を穴加工する。
通気孔13の加工精度は±0.5mm程度でよく、従来の圧入下穴加工の精度+0.10〜−0.15mmよりも基準は緩くてよい。
このように鋳造後に通気孔13を後加工するので、図3(a),(b)に示すように要求される孔径d,dに対応して後加工すればよく、パイプ部材12の共通化を図ることができる。
また、パイプ部材12はストレート形状に限定する必要がなく、図3(c)に示すようにパイプ部材12の鋳込み側あるいは突出側に、凸部12c,12dを設けると連結部の抜け止め効果が生じる。
また、凸部の形状に制限はなく、リング状であっても複数の突起状であってもよい。
