Description

The present invention relates to a battery pack, and more particularly to a waterproof structure in a case.

Battery packs are widely used as power sources for portable electronic devices such as notebook personal computers (notebook PCs) and tablet personal computers (tablet PCs), and vehicles.
As shown in FIG. 16, the battery pack according to the related art has a configuration in which a core pack 92 is accommodated inside a case member 90 having a shallow dish shape, and an opening of the case member 90 is sealed by the case member 91. . A case is configured by a combination of the case member 90 and the case member 91. The core pack 92 includes a plurality of unit cells 921 to 926 each having a flat rectangular shape, a circuit board 927 connected thereto, and a connector 928 attached on the circuit board 927. A part of the connector 928 is exposed to the outside from a window 90 b provided in the case member 90.

As shown in FIG. 17A, a groove portion is formed in the outer peripheral edge portion of the case member 90, and a rib 91b is erected on a corresponding portion of the case member 91 so as to be fitted into the groove portion. The case member 90 and the case member 91 are ultrasonically bonded to each other, so that the tip end portion of the rib 91b is melted (welded portion 91g) and is fitted to each other.
Here, as shown in FIG. 17A, the case member 90 and the case member 91 are arranged with a gap K between each other in order to maintain high appearance quality. Direct penetration of moisture from the portion into the interior is suppressed by the welded portion 91g at the tip portion of the rib 91b.

Further, as shown in the enlarged portion of FIG. 16, in the periphery of the window portion 90 b where the connector 928 is exposed, ribs cannot be provided on the case member 91 from the viewpoint of height. A waterproof label 93 is attached to suppress intrusion.

特開2009−181830号公報JP 2009-181830 A 特開2002−245993号公報JP 2002-245993 A

However, in the structure of the battery pack according to the above prior art, as shown in FIG. 17A, the gap K is designed to open between the butted end of the case member 90 and the butted end of the case member 91. However, moisture that has entered the gap K propagates in the circumferential direction in the gap K and may enter the back side of the waterproof label 93 (inside the case formed by the case members 90 and 91). Specifically, as shown in FIG. 17B, the moisture that has entered the gap K propagates in the circumferential direction along the welded portion 91g, and the gap in the peripheral portion where the connector 928 is exposed (the portion indicated by the arrow L). Or the like) from the inside of the case members 90 and 91.

As described above, when moisture enters the inside of the case members 90 and 91, a short circuit occurs in the internal cells 921 to 926, the circuit board 927, and the like, and the exposed metal member is corroded. . When such a situation occurs, the reliability of the battery pack is reduced.
Even in the case where the packing is inserted in the fitting portion between the case members, the same problem may occur when adopting a structure in which there is a region where the rib is not erected around the exposed portion of the connector. It is possible that this will occur.

An object of the present invention is to provide a battery pack having high reliability by having an exterior body configured by fitting at least two case members and improving waterproof performance.

The battery pack according to the present invention includes a case and a core pack accommodated in the internal space of the case. The case is formed by a combination of a first case member and a second case member, and the core pack is formed having at least unit cells.
In the battery pack according to the present invention, a window part through which a part of the core pack is exposed is provided in a part of the case. In addition, a partition-like rib erected toward the second case member is provided on the outer peripheral edge portion of the first case member so as to be connected to a region excluding the window portion, and the outer peripheral edge portion of the second case member. In the first case member, a groove portion for receiving the intrusion of the rib is formed.

Furthermore, in the battery pack according to the present invention, in a state where the rib has entered the groove portion, there is a portion having a gap between the outer side surface of the rib in the first case member and the inner side surface facing the groove portion in the second case member. Existing. And between the outer side surface of the rib in the first case member and the inner side surface facing the groove portion in the second case member, in the direction along the outer peripheral edge portion of the first case member, the portion facing the window portion receives moisture. It is characterized in that a moisture movement restricting part for suppressing movement is provided.

In the battery pack according to the present invention, the portion facing the window portion in the direction along the outer peripheral edge of the first case member, and the inner surface facing the outer surface of the rib in the first case member and the groove portion in the second case member. Between the two, a moisture movement restricting portion that suppresses moisture movement is provided. For this reason, when a gap exists between the outer side surface of the rib in the first case member and the inner side surface facing the groove portion in the second case member, and moisture that has entered the gap has moved toward the window portion. Even in this case, since the movement is restricted by the moisture movement restricting portion, it is possible to prevent moisture from entering the case through the window portion.

Therefore, the battery pack according to the present invention has high reliability by improving the waterproof performance.
The battery pack according to the present invention can employ the following variations.
In the battery pack according to the present invention, a configuration in which the top portion of the rib is welded to the bottom portion of the groove portion can be employed. Thereby, the infiltration of moisture can be suppressed also between the top portion of the rib and the bottom portion of the groove portion.

The battery pack according to the present invention is a streak-like or rib-like sub-rib protruding from the outer surface of the rib in a direction intersecting the outer surface as a specific moisture movement restricting portion. A configuration in which the top portion of the rib is welded to the inner surface facing the groove portion in the second case member can be employed. As described above, the top portion of the secondary rib as the moisture movement restricting portion is also welded to the inner surface facing the groove portion in the second case member, so that moisture can enter from the portion into the case. Can be suppressed.

The battery pack according to the present invention is inserted in a liquid-tight manner between the outer side surface of the rib in the first case member and the inner side surface facing the groove in the second case member as another specific moisture movement regulating unit. A configuration of a waterproof tape can be employed. Thus, the penetration of moisture can also be suppressed by the configuration in which the waterproof tape is inserted.
The battery pack according to the present invention is liquid-tightly filled and formed between the outer surface of the rib in the first case member and the inner surface of the second case member facing the groove as another specific moisture movement restricting portion. The structure of being a filling member can be employed. Also by this, moisture intrusion can be suppressed.

In addition, as a member to fill, an epoxy resin, a silicone resin, etc. are employable, for example.
In the battery pack according to the present invention, an annular packing that passes through the outer peripheral edge of the first case member is interposed between the first case member and the second case member, and the packing includes the first case member. Convex portions are integrally formed in a direction that intersects the outer surface of the rib in the first case at a portion facing the window portion in a direction along the outer peripheral edge portion. And the structure that the convex part in this packing functions as a moisture movement control part is employable. Even in the case of the configuration in which the packing is inserted in this way, it is possible to restrict the movement of moisture along the gap by forming the convex portion. Thus, it is possible to suppress moisture from entering the inside of the case.

In the battery pack according to the present invention, a waterproof label that suppresses intrusion of moisture from the outside is attached to a portion surrounding the window portion on the outer surface of the case, and the waterproof label includes the first case member and the second case member. A configuration in which the butted portion is also covered can be employed. Thus, by sticking the waterproof label to the part surrounding the window part on the outer surface of the case, the intrusion of moisture from the part surrounding the window part can also be suppressed.

In the battery pack according to the present invention, the window portion is opened in an annular shape closed on the side wall of the second case member, and from the inner bottom surface of the first case member to the edge portion facing the window portion in the second case member. It is possible to adopt a configuration in which the column portion is erected and the top portion of the column portion is in contact with or close to the inner bottom surface of the second case member. Thereby, when sticking a waterproof label to the part surrounding a window part, the rigidity of a case can be ensured and the float of the waterproof label from the outer surface of a case can be suppressed.

Note that “proximity” refers to a gap in which the top of the column part can come into contact with the inner surface of the case when the case is pressed with a normal human pressing force when the waterproof label is attached. Specifically, it indicates a state where there is a gap of about 0.3 mm.
The battery pack according to the present invention has a rounded rectangular parallelepiped that is electrically connected to the unit cell, wherein the window is opened in an annular shape closed on the side wall of the second case member, and a part of the window is exposed from the window. It is a connector of a shape, The structure that the shelf part contact | abutted or adjoins with respect to the edge part which faces the window part in a 2nd case member is provided in a connector is employable. Even by adopting such a configuration, when sticking the waterproof label to the part surrounding the window on the outer surface of the case, the rigidity of the case can be secured, and the waterproof label can be lifted from the outer surface of the case. Can be suppressed.

The definition of “proximity” is the same as described above.
The battery pack according to the present invention employs a configuration in which the case formed by the combination of the first case member and the second case member has a flat shape in the fitting direction between the first case member and the second case member. be able to. When the flat and thin case is provided in this way, it is substantially impossible to stand a rib around the portion where the window portion is provided. It becomes effective in suppressing.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[Embodiment 1]
1. External Configuration of Battery Pack 1 As shown in FIG. 1A and FIG. 1B, the battery pack 1 according to the embodiment of the present invention includes a case member 10 and a case member 11 in combination. And has a flat appearance shape whose height in the Z-axis direction is smaller than the dimensions in the X-axis direction and the Y-axis direction. In the battery pack 1, a part of the connector 128 is exposed from the right-hand side surface in the X-axis direction of the case.

As shown in FIG. 2, the connector 128 is exposed to the outside through a window provided on the side surface 10 a of the case member 10, and a waterproof label 13 is attached so as to surround the periphery thereof. The waterproof label 13 is made of, for example, a waterproof microcell polymer sheet, and is affixed integrally between the case member 10 and the case member 11 so as to cover the butted portion between the case member 10 and the case member 11. It is worn.

2. Internal Configuration of Battery Pack 1 As shown in FIG. 3 (a), the case member 10 has a square shallow dish shape, and the core pack 12 is accommodated so as to be in contact with or close to the inner bottom surface 10c. ing. When the core pack 12 is stored, the connector 128 is inserted into the window portion 10b provided on the side surface 10a of the case member 10, and the unit cells 121 to 126 and the like are stored in this state. In addition, the window part 10b provided in the case member 10 has a closed rectangular ring shape.

The core pack 12 includes six flat rectangular unit cells 121 to 126, a circuit board 127 electrically connected thereto, and a connector 128 mounted on the circuit board 127.
As shown in FIG. 3B, the case member 11 is fitted to the case member 10 in which the core pack 12 is accommodated so as to close the opening on the upper side in the Z-axis direction. The case member 11 has a rectangular flat plate shape and is ultrasonically bonded to the case member 10 at the outer peripheral edge portion thereof.

In ultrasonic bonding, an ultrasonic horn is brought into contact with the outer surface of the case member 11, and ultrasonic vibration is applied to the abutting portion between the outer peripheral edges of the case member 11 and the case member 10.
3. Configuration of Case Member 11 As shown in FIG. 4, the case member 11 has ribs 11b erected in the Z-axis direction on the outer peripheral edge of the inner main surface 11a (A 1 and A 2 surrounded by a two-dot chain line) See section). The rib 11b is not formed so as to surround the entire circumference, but the portion of the opening 11c in which the connector 128 is disposed is omitted. This is from the viewpoint of space because a flat case is employed as shown in FIG.

Further, as shown in A 1 portion of FIG. 4, the Y-axis direction: both sides portion of the opening 11c, (see, eg, arrow B portion) of the pillar portion 11e, 11f is provided extending in the Z axis direction. The gap between the column part 11 e and the column part 11 f corresponds to the width of the connector 128. Each of the column portions 11e and 11f has a shape having an L-shaped cross section.
As shown in A 2 portion of FIG. 4, on the outer surface of the rib 11b, the sub-rib 11d is provided. The secondary rib 11d is provided continuously from the outer surface of the rib 11b to the outer portion of the inner main surface 11a of the case member 11 than the rib 11b, and has an L shape as a whole.

Further, the upper end portion in the Z-axis direction of the auxiliary rib 11d is tapered. Specifically, the height in the Z-axis direction is decreased from the outer surface of the rib 11b toward the outer side in the X-axis direction.
Here, the sub-rib 11d is also formed in the same manner on the opposite side of the Y-axis direction across the opening 11c.

In addition, about the shape of the case member 11 shown in FIG. 4, the state of the components before joining with the case member 10 is shown.
4). Fitting of Case Member 10 and Case Member 11 As shown in FIG. 5A, the case member 10 and the case member 11 are ultrasonically bonded with their outer peripheral edge portions being in contact with each other. As described above, the case member 11 is provided with the rib 11b, and the case member 10 is formed with a groove portion for receiving the insertion of the rib 11b. By the ultrasonic bonding, the top portion of the rib 11b is melted and welded to the groove bottom in the case member 10 (welded portion 11g). In addition, in Fig.5 (a), about the welding part 11g, it has illustrated typically and is different from the actual state. The same applies to the following.

Further, the auxiliary ribs 11d provided on both side portions facing the opening 11c on the outer surface of the rib 11b are welded to the inner side surface of the case member 10 facing the groove portion (welded portion 11h). Thereby, a clearance gap is sealed liquid-tightly between the outer side surface of the rib 11b in the case member 11, and the inner surface which faces the groove part of the case member 10. FIG.
As shown in FIG. 5 (b), even when moisture enters the gap between the outer surface of the rib 11b of the case member 11 and the inner surface of the case member 10 facing the groove, the top portion of the rib 11b Direct penetration of moisture in the X-axis direction is suppressed by the welded portion 11g. Further, as shown by an arrow Flow, even when moisture propagates through the gap between the outer surface of the rib 11b of the case member 11 and the inner surface of the case member 10 facing the groove, the tip of the sub-rib 11d by welding portions 11h of the side portions (arrow C 1 part), the propagation of moisture to the Y-axis direction is prevented in the portion, infiltration of water into the case inside through a window portion (arrow C 2 portions) can be prevented .

Therefore, in the battery pack 1, the secondary rib 11d with the tip side portion welded (having the welded portion 11h) suppresses the moisture transfer to the portion facing the window portion (opening 11c with the rib 11b cut off). It functions as a movement restricting unit. Thus, the battery pack 1 according to the present embodiment has high waterproof performance and high quality as a power source for portable electronic devices and vehicles.
5. Role played by the column portions 11e and 11f in the case member 11 As shown in FIG. 6A, in the battery pack 1 according to the present embodiment, the column portions 11e and 11f are directed upward in the Z-axis direction from the inner bottom surface of the case member 11. (In FIG. 6 (a), only the column portion 11e is shown.), And the column portions 11e and 11f are inserted through holes 1217a formed in corresponding portions of the circuit board 127 (arrow D). Part), is in contact with the inner bottom surface of the case member 10. Note that the top portions of the column portions 11e and 11f are not necessarily in contact with the inner bottom surface of the case member 10, and may be in a close state with a slight gap (for example, 0.3 mm or less). Absent.

The column portions 11e and 11f of the case member 11 provided as described above have an effect of reducing the amount of bending of the case member 10 when the waterproof label 13 is attached, and prevent the waterproof label 13 from floating. To contribute to. That is, the waterproof label 13 is attached to the case members 10 and 11 so as to surround the periphery of the portion where the connector 128 is exposed (attachment portions 13a and 13b). At the time of sticking, it functions as a structural material that suppresses bending of the bottom surface of the case member 10 due to the force F relating to sticking.

In particular, when adopting a configuration in which a part of the connector 13 is exposed from the closed window portion 10b provided in the case member 10 as in the present embodiment, rigidity reinforcement is provided around the window portion 10b of the case member 10. Since it is difficult to provide a portion, it is effective to adopt the configuration as in this embodiment.
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 6B, when a column part is not formed on the case member 801 as in the battery pack according to the comparative example, the waterproof label 813 surrounding the connector 828 is attached. The bottom surface of the case member 800 may bend downward in the Z-axis direction due to the force F applied to the sticking portion 813a, and the sticking portion 813a may float between the outer surface of the case member 900. When floating occurs in this way, it is not possible to reliably prevent the ingress of moisture from the outside, leading to a decrease in the reliability of the battery pack.

As described above, in the battery pack 1 according to the present embodiment in which the column portions 11e and 11f are provided in the case member 11, the intrusion of moisture from around the connector 128 can be reliably suppressed.
Even when the configuration in which the auxiliary rib 11d is not provided on the outer surface of the rib 11b and only the configuration in which the column portions 11e and 11f are provided in the case member 11 is employed, the waterproof performance can be improved accordingly. It becomes.

[Embodiment 2]
1. Configuration of Case Member 21 As shown in FIG. 7, in the battery pack according to the embodiment of the present invention, a waterproof tape 24 is attached to the outer surface of the rib 21 b of the case member 21. The waterproof tape 24 is continuously attached to the outer side of the rib 21b on the inner bottom surface 21a of the case member 21 from the outer surface of the rib 21b.

The location where the waterproof tape 24 is attached is the same location as the sub rib 11d in the battery pack 1 according to the first embodiment, and is the both side portions facing the opening 21c through which the connector passes. The waterproof tape 24 is liquid-tightly attached to the rib 21b and the inner bottom surface 21a.
In addition, since it is the same as that of the said Embodiment 1 about other structures except the case member 21 and the waterproof tape 24 stuck, illustration and description are abbreviate | omitted.

2. Fitting of Case Member 10 and Case Member 21 As shown in FIG. 8, also in the battery pack according to the present embodiment, the case member 10 and the case member 21 are ultrasonic waves in a state where the outer peripheral edges are abutted with each other. Be joined. For this reason, the top part of the rib 21b in the case member 21 is melted and welded to the groove bottom of the case member 10 (welded portion 21g).

And in this Embodiment, it will be in the state by which the waterproof tape 24 was inserted between the outer surface of the rib 21b in the case member 21, and the inner surface which faces the groove part in the case member 10. Therefore, even in the battery pack according to the present embodiment, even when moisture propagates through the gap between the outer surface of the rib 21b of the case member 21 and the inner surface facing the groove portion of the case member 10, Due to the insertion of the waterproof tape 24, the propagation of moisture is blocked at the portion, and moisture penetration into the case inside through the window portion can be suppressed.

Also in the present embodiment, direct penetration of moisture in the X-axis direction is suppressed by the welded portion 21g at the top of the rib 21b, and a waterproof label is attached to surround the periphery of the connector. Since the configuration is the same as that of the first embodiment, the point that moisture intrusion from the portion can be suppressed is the same as described above.
The material of the waterproof tape 24 according to the present embodiment is not particularly limited as long as it is waterproof. For example, a polyolefin foam material is used as a base material, and an acrylic resin-based adhesive is provided on one surface thereof. A coated tape can be used.

[Embodiment 3]
1. Configuration of Case Member 31 As shown in FIG. 9, in the case member 31 of the battery pack according to the embodiment of the present invention, a part of the outer surface of the rib 31b and the outer side of the rib 31b on the inner bottom surface 31a are continuous. Thus, a streak-like groove 31i is engraved. The groove 31i is engraved in a portion facing the opening 31c in the rib 31b, and the illustration is omitted, but the groove 31i is similarly engraved on the opposite side across the opening 31c.

2. Fitting of Case Member 30 and Case Member 31 As shown in FIG. 10 (a), also in the battery pack according to the present embodiment, the case member 30 and the case member 31 have an outer peripheral edge portion during assembly. Ultrasonic bonding is performed in a state where the two are in contact with each other. For this reason, the top part of the rib 31b in the case member 31 is melted and welded to the groove bottom of the case member 30 (welded portion 31g).

Here, also about the case member 30, the groove | channel 30i of the same form is engraved in the location corresponding to the groove | channel 31i of the case member 31. FIG.
As shown in FIG. 10 (b), in the battery pack according to the present embodiment, after the case member 30 and the case member 31 are ultrasonically bonded, the grooves 30i and 31i are filled with a waterproof adhesive. For example, the waterproof resin portion 35 is provided by being cured by irradiation with UV (ultraviolet light). As a result, as shown in FIG. 10B, the gap between the outer surface of the rib 31 b in the case member 31 and the inner surface facing the groove portion in the case member 30 is liquid-tightly closed by the waterproof resin portion 35. . The waterproof resin portion 35 is also filled in the opposite grooves 30i and 31i across the window portion where the connector is exposed.

Therefore, even in the battery pack according to the present embodiment, even when moisture propagates through the gap between the outer side surface of the rib 31b of the case member 31 and the inner side surface facing the groove portion of the case member 30, it is waterproof. Due to the filling formation of the resin portion 35, the propagation of moisture is blocked at the portion, and moisture penetration into the case inside through the window portion can be suppressed.
Also in the present embodiment, direct penetration of moisture in the X-axis direction is suppressed by the welded portion 31g at the top of the rib 31b, and a waterproof label is attached to surround the periphery of the connector. Since the configuration is the same as that of the first embodiment, the point that moisture intrusion from the portion can be suppressed is the same as described above.

[Embodiment 4]
1. Schematic Configuration of Battery Pack As shown in FIG. 11 (a), in the embodiment of the present invention, a core pack 42 is housed inside a flat rectangular case composed of a case member 40 and a case member 41, and the case The member 40 and the case member 41 are joined by nine screws 461 to 469.

The core pack 42 includes nine unit cells 421 to 429 having a cylindrical appearance, a circuit board 430 electrically connected thereto, and a connector 431 mounted on the circuit board 430. And, like the battery pack 1 according to the first embodiment, a part of the connector 431 is exposed from the window provided in the case.
In addition, also in the battery pack according to the present embodiment, the case member 40 and the case member 41 are the same as those in the first embodiment with respect to the configuration in which the outer peripheral edge portions are abutted with each other. However, it is different in that ultrasonic bonding is not performed.

As shown in FIG. 11 (b), labels 44 and 45 and a waterproof label 43 are attached to the outer surface of the case (a combination of the case member 40 and the case member 41) in which the core pack 42 is housed. A battery pack 2 is configured.
Here, the labels 44 and 45 are used as caution labels and the like, and the waterproof label 43 has the same configuration as the waterproof label 13 of the battery pack 1 according to the first embodiment.

2. Case member 41 and packing 47
As shown in FIG. 12, the case member 41 has a shallow dish shape, and a rib 41a is erected on the outer peripheral edge portion in the Z-axis direction. Also in case member 41 according to the present embodiment, rib 41a is not provided for the exposed portion of connector 431. Further, a shallow groove 41j is provided outside the rib 41a at the outer peripheral edge of the case member 41, and an annular packing 47 is fitted into the groove 41j.

The packing 47 has a substantially rectangular shape in plan view in accordance with the shape of the outer peripheral edge of the case member 41, and a portion corresponding to the connector 431 (a portion E 1 surrounded by a two-dot chain line) avoids the connector 431. The shape escapes downward in the Z-axis direction.
3. Part of the details of the packing 47 As shown in FIG. 13A, when the portion E 1 surrounded by the two-dot chain line of the packing 47 is viewed from the direction of the arrow E 2 , a relief portion 47 c is provided in a U-shape. ing. The size of the escape portion 47 c is set according to the connector 431.

As shown in FIG. 13 (a) and a portion surrounded by a two-dot chain line and extracted, convex portions 47a and 47b protruding in the X-axis direction are provided on both side portions 47d in the Y-axis direction of the escape portion 47c. Yes. The packing 47 including the convex portions 47a and 47b is integrally formed using an elastic material. As an elastic material used for forming the packing 47, for example, silicone rubber or the like can be employed.

4). Packing 47 and waterproof label 43
As shown in FIG. 13 (b), in the battery pack according to the present embodiment, when the waterproof label 43 is attached to the portion surrounding the connector 431 in the case members 40, 41, the convex portions 47a of the packing 47, The tip of 47b is elastically urged against the inner surface of the waterproof label 43 (arrow G portion). In FIG. 13B, only the portion where the convex portion 47b is provided is shown, but the portion where the convex portion 47a is provided has the same configuration.

In this manner, the packing 47 is inserted between the case member 40 and the case member 41, and the convex portions 47a and 47b provided on the packing 47 are elastically biased toward the inner surface of the waterproof label 43. Although the battery pack 2 according to the embodiment does not perform ultrasonic bonding, the same waterproof performance as that of the battery pack 1 according to the first embodiment can be ensured. That is, at least a part of the moisture that has entered and propagated between the outer surface of the rib 41 a of the case member 41 and the inner surface of the case member 40 facing the groove is blocked by the convex portions 47 a and 47 b of the packing 47. Intrusion into the inside from around the connector 431 can be suppressed.

Therefore, also in the battery pack 2 according to the present embodiment, high waterproof performance can be ensured and high quality can be maintained.
[Embodiment 5]
The battery pack according to Embodiment 5 of the present invention has a shape feature of the connector 528, and the other configuration is the same as that of Embodiment 1 above. Below, the form of the connector 528 is demonstrated.

1. Configuration of Connector 528 As shown in FIG. 14A, the connector 528 is composed of a connector main body 528a that functions as a connection terminal and a shelf 528b (part indicated by an arrow H) provided on the back side in the X-axis direction. Is formed. The shelf portion 528b is formed one step lower than the upper surface in the Z-axis direction of the connector main body portion 528a.

2. Case members 50 and 51 and connector 528
As shown in FIG. 14B, when the case member 50 and the case member 51 are fitted, a part of the connector 528 is exposed. And the waterproof label 13 is affixed around the connector 528 in case member 50,51 similarly to the said Embodiment 1. FIG.

The shelf portion 528 b in the connector 528 serves to support the opening edge of the case member 50. Thereby, when the force F is applied to the sticking part 13 a when sticking the waterproof label 13 to the outer surface of the case member 50, the shelf part 528 b of the connector 528 serves as a support member that suppresses the bending of the case member 50. By functioning, the situation where the waterproof label 13 floats with respect to the outer surface of the case member 50 can be suppressed.

Therefore, when the connector 528 according to the present embodiment is employed, it is possible to suppress moisture from entering between the outer surface of the case member 50 and the waterproof label 13 around the connector 528.
[Modification 1]
As shown in FIG. 15A, the connector 628 is integrally formed with three shelves 628b, 628c, 628d (arrows I1, I2, I3) with respect to the connector main body 628a. Also in the battery pack employing the connector 628 having such a configuration, high quality can be ensured by the waterproof performance similar to those of the first and fifth embodiments.

[Modification 2]
As shown in FIG. 15 (b), the connector 728 has a shelf 728b formed integrally with the connector main body 728a on the back side in the X-axis direction, and also has shelves on both sides in the Y-axis direction. A portion 728c is formed (arrow J portion). In a battery pack that employs such a connector 728, the case member can be supported also on both side portions of the connector 728, and therefore, more reliably than when the configuration according to the fifth embodiment and the first modification is employed. The bending of the case member can be suppressed.

Therefore, even in a battery pack that employs the connector 728 according to this modification, high quality can be ensured by improving waterproof performance.
[Other matters]
In the first embodiment, both the configuration of the secondary rib 11d provided on the case member 11 and the configuration of the column portions 11e and 11f erected from the case member 11 are employed, but only one of the configurations is employed. Even if it is adopted, the waterproof performance can be improved accordingly.

In Embodiments 1 to 5 and Modifications 1 and 2 described above, a part of the connectors 128, 431, 528, 628, and 727 is exposed from the window portion of the case, but the purpose of providing the window portion is as follows. However, the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the same configuration as described above for a window portion for providing wiring, a window portion for providing switches for various settings, and a window portion for providing indicators such as LEDs and liquid crystals. By adopting, a similar effect can be obtained.

Further, in the first to fifth embodiments and the first and second modifications, the appearance shape of the case is a flat rectangular shape, but it may be a flat shape such as a circle or an ellipse instead of a square, or a non-flat cube or rectangular parallelepiped. It can also be made into a shape such as.
In the first to fifth embodiments and the first and second modifications, the external shapes of the connectors 128, 431, 528, 628, and 728 are rounded rectangular parallelepiped shapes. be able to. A cubic shape or a thin plate shape can also be used.

Although the battery types of the unit cells 121 to 126 and 421 to 429 included in the core packs 12 and 42 are not particularly mentioned, for example, a lithium ion battery, a nickel hydrogen battery, or the like can be employed. As for the external shape of the unit cell, in addition to the flat rectangular shape and the cylindrical shape, a coin shape, a gum shape, and the like can be adopted, and a laminated external battery can also be adopted.

The present invention is useful for realizing a battery pack having high waterproof performance as a power source for portable electronic devices and vehicles.
